Great place for lunch! The service was superb but the food was top notch. They even plate it like a high end restaurant. We had the tomato bisque and Turkey Panini. Both were loaded with flavor and nothing to disappoint. Even the side of pasta salad was original and had an appealing taste! Be prepared for large portions but you won't be disappointed with taste! Great little place off US1. We have lived in the Keys for more than 3 years and had never eaten here. Our neighbors would tell us about this place. We finally stopped for dinner....Amazing! The food here is FANTASTIC. Maybe the best pasta in the keys. My only wish is for dinner they slightly lower the lights and play more "dinner-y music" ...maybe sinatra? It would match the fantastic pasta. We always want to go for date night but we always opt for something more romantic, however. The food is already amazing, brick wall and great decor, all they need to be the perfect little romantic restaurant is dimming the lights and changing the music. Its kind of hard to want to indulge and order multiple glasses of wine when the lights are blaring and the music is top 40 lol. Am I missing something? We saw this place had so many great reviews and needed to try it while on vacation. The servers were attentive and thorough, but the food was extremely disappointing. We got 3 different pasta dishes and all of the pasta was overcooked and sauces/meat lacked any form of flavor. Seriously could've found this food in a cafeteria. I have to admit I go to this restaurant religiously. I have had everything on the menu and have yet to find one thing I don't like. The lasagna is the best I've EVER had! The owner takes real pride in everything he does and it is apparent in the food. Walking in you are greeted by the staff and they are eager to make you feel at home. The pizza is the best in the Keys and their bread is baked fresh daily. The Jersey style cheesecake is so ridiculously good, you'll want to order a whole one and a spoon. Even the way they plate the dishes is a work of art. The moron who wrote about the worst pizza he's ever had and about the dog in the restaurant should be ashamed of himself. So glad we stumbled across this restaurant while we were looking for Italian food. This place did not disappoint. HUGE portions (chicken parmigiana came with two large chicken cutlets, spaghetti and a side salad for $19, and was all delicious!!) I also tried the lobster bisque soup and it was really good too. We went here twice for dinner during a recent trip. Make sure to get both menus as in addition to the Italian dishes they also have Caribbean and Mexican inspired smaller dishes. My son had spaghetti with meatball, and it was some of the best meatballs I have tasted in a restaurant. I sampled their fish sandwich and tacos, and my wife had another fish dish which she enjoyed a lot. Bayside is a quiet little coffee shop tucked away in Islamorada. On our first visit there, we had some splendid cappuccino (exactly one person there seems to know that a cappuccino isn't loaded with milk!) and a slice of their home made pie (delicious!). We were so thrilled with our experience that we went back the next morning for breakfast (not to mention that the breakfast at our resort was atrociously overpriced). The second experience was decent, but not great. There was a different young lady at the counter. The cappuccino she prepared was even milkier than a latte. Service was decent. My food was good, but my husband's shrimp (in the breakfast omelet) was touch and overcooked. This brings the rating down from a 5 star to a 4 star. But I would go back and give this place another chance if I was to find myself in the area again. read more
