I've been here several times while visiting. The food is fantastic. Try the grouper Reuben or the spicy fish tacos? Or better yet split them with a friend so you get one of each. The spicy fish tacos? are not spicy hot rather they are spicy flavorful. The blackened grouper Reuben is very rich and delicious, if a bit greasy. But who cares about calories when you taste it! Upgrade to a green salad to balance the sheer indulgence of the Reuben. The menu is diverse and delicious. Don't forget to pick up some dessert to take home. Chances are you won't be able to eat it after your meal but you don't want to miss it. The chocolate cake is seven layers of heaven. And I don't particularly care for chocolate cake. I'm looking forward to visiting again during my next trip. If you want views go elsewhere, if you want good food, make sure to stop here. read more

Lovely atmosphere and an incredibly friendly staff. Stopped in twice for breakfast. Had the Blacked Grouper omlette and the shrimp and bacon omlette. The latte was great as well with smooth rich coffee. We took some baked goods home (eclair, key lime pie, guava pastery) as well. Everything was cooked excellently and the ingredients seemed to be very top quality. Most of all the staff was what made the experience great. They were friendly, engaging, and beyond accomidating. One of our party asked if there was some cocktail sauce available, but said it wasn't a problem if they didn't have it. The staff actually went and made a small batch for him from scratch ( as great as everything else), which is they type of service I just don't see that often. All I can say is highly recommend making this a breakfast stop and can't wait to try then for dinner. read more

This is now my new favorite lunch spot in town!We started with the roasted tomato & blue cheese soup, which was fabulous...you could taste the tomatoes, onions, and garlic, very flavorful. I had the gourmet salad and added chicken, it was perfect! Fresh, crisp greens & crispy bacon...the vinaigrette was delicious! My husband had the cheesesteak, which came with a side of pasta salad, he loved both (and he's a total cheesesteak snob). This place was recommended by our hotel so we decided to try it out and I'm glad we did. It was so good that we also ordered a takeaway to our hotel room two days later. The service is of the highest standard and the staff were brilliant. Our server recommended their special of key lime shrimp which was amazing! I've had many fish sandwiches in my life growing up in Florida, however the Grouper on rye (blackened) is by far the most delicious sandwich I've ever tasted. I was looking at other patron's comments and thought I would give it a try. WOW! The service was great too. The waitress recommended the chocolate cake for dessert and she picked an excellent one for us. It was so moist and delicious. It made my family and I extremely uncomfortable because the server kept on acting as if us ordering was bothering her since the gestures she was doing such as her face and body language. I go to this restaurant so often I had them cater my wedding. The owner provided copious amounts of menu options for dinner, appetizers, and brunch the following day. Our guests raved about the food and kept going back for more. When at the restaurant they have a great variety of options on the menu and it is one of the few restaurants in town where I actually order the specials. Locals frequent Bayside due to the food quality and exceptional value. If you happen to make the fantastic decision to eat at Bayside but then don't have a slice of their New Jersey Cheesecake, hire a life coach and cancel your cellphone plan because you probably screwed that up too. read more

However, it would be a half star since there are many out of town visitors they should be more attentive to deliveries to a hotel. We spent a good amount to have our complete meal from starters to deserts delivered because we didn't want to go out after a long day. The delivery took 90 minutes and there wasn't a fork or napkin. We had to drive down the street from the restaurant to by $10 forks and so forth to eat mediocre Italian. Our meal experience may have better if going out again didn't ruin our intent. Bayside Gourmet is not a big place and it has a relatively small menu but EVERYTHING they do is incredible. Over the past week, we managed to go through all their breakfast dishes and they are delicious. They also do a grouper Ruben that is also out of this world and their pizza is delicious !!! The big burrito, shrimp omelet, and grouper Ruben were my favorites. Stephanie, our waitress, was awesome in recommending dishes and all the staff, including the husband and wife owners, were great.
