And I can see why it is award winning, it was so good and it was light and fluffy but still satisfyingly ooey gooey cheesy. Totally have to get it if you go. Then we got two pizzas. The restaurant has a nice cozy feel on the inside and also has a covered patio area in the front for when the weather is warmer. The food is always warm and the crust is consistently cooked to perfection. As seen in the picture, they are also very generous with their toppings. I have never left this restaurant hungry or unsatisfied. Bazbeaux also features good salads and even better garlic cheese bread. But then again, Bazbeaux doesn't need another 5 star review, they are awesome! I was in the area and thought I'd surprise the hubs with a pizza. Ok, ok, ok, OK... It's was me, I was the one craving Bazbeaux. I walked in a placed my take-away order. The outdoor patio is still closed, but they have some seats outside where you can hang out till your order is ready. I saw a few people dining in and watched a large group get their temperatures checked before they were seated. Masks are required and I appreciate all the precautions the staff are taking during this time. This pizza hits the spot, as pizza always does, but definitely not my favorite. Coming from the Northeast, I love a good thin crust and can always go for neopolitan. This pizza was not really like any, the crust was not very chewy or crispy, it was almost reminiscent of pita and a pita chip, kind of soft, kind of bland, kind of like a cracker. We made our own with basil, mushroom, and sausage. The sausage was chopped super fine and the toppings were pretty normal and adequate. I was a bit disappointed in the crust, but otherwise it was nice to go out on a Saturday evening, sit out on the spacious and socially distant patio without a very long wait. Overall: One of the most popular pizza places in Indy, and it deserves the spotlight! The good: Humble, charming, and most importantly delicious. Bazbeaux delivers quality ingredients and flavor in each of their pizzas. From the BBQ chicken to the pesto shrimp, and everything in-between, all of their creations are hearty, filling, and fresh. The toppings are a-plenty as is the cheese, and you'll be hard pressed to find something you don't like. My favorites are their pesto options, including their incredible pesto garlic cheese bread starter. Pair all the great foods with a big glass of Indy beer and a nice summer night on their patio, and you're in heaven. The not-so-good: The lines can be atrocious for this place and they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. And, like most of the rest of Broadripple, good luck trying to find parking. I feel like anytime I tell someone that I haven't been to Bazbeaux, they gasp and now I understand why. The pizza is SOO GOOD! It's not that I didn't want to get their pizza, I just settled for other pizza places but now I'm happy to add them to my list to order from. We ordered take out and the staff member on the phone was on it! It was ready when promised and the pizzas were delicious. My favorite was the Quattro Formaggio - the dollops of ricotta were unreal! I would eat this pizza everyday! The antipasto salad was so fancy, I felt like that could've been my whole meal! We also got the Colossus pizza and the name definitely matches the pizza. Late this afternoon I was walking Broad Ripple and decided that a Stromboli was a must have! I headed to Bazbeaux and they did not disappoint. Ambiance: It was fine. Kind of gave me the dark old bar feel. It would probably benefit from a refresh and a lightening up. Food: Oh my gosh. I was served melty, piled high--fabulosity on a plate! My eyes tasted it before I did and my eyes did not lie. Absolutely delicious! Service: This is the area that I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Joe was my waiter and he was just so nice. Very personable and engaging. I have built my life's work around hospitality so I always notice how I'm being treated when I'm on the other side of the tablecloth. And Joe did it right. Bazbeaux does not disappoint. This pizza place is consistently high quality, affordable, and a fantastic place to dine in. While I occasionally stray from the usual, my go-to order is a small antipasto pizza (good size for 2 as a pre-pizza starter), 12 or 16 inch pizza (depending on how hungry we are/wanting leftovers) and a 1/2 craft of house red wine. This is plenty of food for 2 people, nearly always with leftovers. Some fun tips: -When ordering one of their "pre-designed" pizzas, they let you swap toppings to match what you want free of charge...perfect for this anti green pepper girl. -my server said the full craft of wine is about 1 &1/2 bottles, just to plan ahead if you drove -in the summer, sit on the outdoor upstairs roof, it's amazing! read more

Wait...how have I not reviewed Bazbeaux before? I've been eating and loving their pizza for decades. I seriously thought I was losing my mind, but then I remembered I had put in reviews for the downtown and Carmel locations but never the original! I love this location though, so am happy to finally be adding a review. Their pizza is delicious. I love all of the unique combinations of toppings and everything is always fresh. The vegetables are flavorful and cooked perfectly. The meats are nicely seasoned and I've never seen a bit of the dreaded orange grease coming off any pepperoni or sausage here. This is also where I learned that ricotta on a pizza is amazing! The crusts are always nice and crisp, and I like that they have a wheat crust option. The big patio is lovely, and they have strings of lights they turn on at dusk. Service is always friendly. They were pretty busy on a nice Tuesday night, but we were able to snag a patio table without a wait. Parking is parking in Broad Ripple, but it's not far from the parking garage if all the metered spots are full. read more

Bazbeaux is my favorite pizza spot in Indy. I've always gone to the downtown location but I loved the covered porch at the Broadripple location! I hade the Greek salad with house vinaigrette, which I love. I also have a 12" Mediterranean pizza. I love the chorizo and feta cheese. The crust is thin and crisp. I had a ton of leftovers to bring back home. My friends had a 16" pizza that they split and they also took a ton of leftovers home. I'd say the the 16" inch could easily be split between 4 people. So, I ended up having dinner at the Broad Ripple Location on Friday June 21st that rainy day. When, I went inside it was a small area, the host of the day sat myself along with my cousin in the center where a wooden pole was at the table. At, first due to a lot of people inside where I sat at it was warm. The pizza place is a kid friendly restaurant, family oriented, and all their locations are packed since they make delicious pizza. I order a 10" with cheese, lite tomato sauce, and sausage on my pizza. To drink I had water will no lemon, and when my food arrived it did taste alright compared to the other two locations. It did taste of a bland dry taste, and during that time my cousin stated same thing about her pizza. Nonetheless, I was very hungry so I did finish every bit of the pizza. I do know that pizza place is a very popular restaurant in the Broad Ripple area. We walked in at 6:30 on a Friday night and while we were waiting for our table, we were taken to chairs in their bar area to help keep everyone social distanced. We were seated about 5 minutes later and our server was very attentive. Our food was excellent, as always! I love their house salad with their house vinaigrette. I usually build my own pizza but I do like their Get Fresh pizza also. It's only served when you're dining-in and comes topped with arugula. It's great if you're in the mood for something light. I will say, we did their curbside pickup a few weeks ago and that was a little chaotic. There was a very long line which caused issues for traffic on Main Street.
