    Salmon Niçoise salad
    Brittany C.

Located inside Nordstrom 1st floor, this restaurant is cute and a great place for good quality food and a glass of wine. Ordered the crab bisque cup of soup which was rich and delicious, we also got the Nordstrom burger, and the salmon Niçoise salad. Everything tasted really good, service was great. The only thing I wish is that the restaurant had lattes and speciality coffees that would be perfect. But other than that, great place for food and wine!

I came here for a quick lunch. The quality of the food is good and the presentation is also good but it's only about a 3 1/2 to 4 star good. The Caesar salad that came with the French dip Sandwich is not really Cesar salad. The French dip sandwich was good but not great. The calamari was tasteless, small and over crusty. The chicken noodle soup was the best thing that I had here today. I'm giving a four star instead of a three star, but I would like to have given a five star because of one reason. The service was excellent. The young man that attended to us, Austin, did a perfect job. He was attentive, but not overbearing, he had a pleasant attitude which was sincere. And he was very friendly, but not over talkative.

We had the most amazing meal today as witnessed by the pictures. Our server, Matthew, made it a next level lunch experience!!! Thank you very much Matthew ~way to go!

    Artichoke Spinach Dip

For a small restaurant tucked away into the corner of Nordstrom, I honestly did not have high expectations for the food. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of every dish I tried. My family and I started off with 4 appetizers that we all shared: Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts, Crisp Calamari, Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata, and Artichoke Spinach Dip. Each was very flavorful and the portions were decent; I would recommend all of them. Especially impressive was the Artichoke Spinach Dip, which could easily serve 3-4 people. We all ordered the 6 oz filet mignon for our main course, which comes with sautéed spinach and salt & pepper-seasoned fries and a side of kalamata olive aioli. Usually a 6 oz filet would be too small for me, but with the appetizers and other sides it was a solid amount of food that left me pretty satisfied. I ordered the filet rare, and it came out perfectly. It came served with a calabrian chili butter melted over top. I did not actually taste the chili component but the butter suited the filet well regardless. I would definitely order the filet again; the quality of the meat was comparable to something you would find at a nice steakhouse. For dessert, I had a warm skillet chocolate chip cookie served with vanilla ice cream topped with chunks of chocolate and caramel. This item not actually on the menu, but our waiter was kind to mention it to us. Someone else in my party ordered the house-made crème brûlée, which I did have a chance to try. I would highly recommend both desserts. Overall, the quality of the food at Bazille is excellent, and it's definitely good if you're looking for an upscale dining experience that leans more on the casual side.

I've been going to Nordstrom Cafe for years but this particular location is a bit overpriced for what they offer. I understand that they changed the menu to give it more of an upscale vibe, but the food quality taste the same to me. I spent about 24 dollars for 2 grilled cheese kids meal sandwiches and was really surprised. At southcoast, it cost about 5 dollars for the same meal. The meal comes with the sandwich a side of fruit and a drink. Since it is covid, I ordered my meal to go. Hopefully they compare any similar meals to other Nordstrom cafes and take that into consideration.

Highly recommended this place. Sesame Cauliflower was super delicious, steak was well prepared as ordered, and ultimate comfort dessert. Exceptional experience with superb service from Christine. Everything was on point. Will be back again soon.

I was there after I finished shopping in the afternoon so it was very quiet and nice . My waiter told me that Coby used to come here every day.

We arrived on our first dining experience here to find an ambience that is elegant and lively. The bar is the centerpiece and the booths and tables are very comfortable for a long dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and polite. She went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. Now for the food: outstanding Caesar salad to start the meal and the lamb shanks were prepared to perfection. My Jewel had a lemon pasta dish that she loved and will order again. Dessert was a warm rhubarb-strawberry cake served with a divine vanilla ice cream. I quickly realized that we should have tried this place sooner. Truly a spectacular dining adventure. Note: this place is owned by the same group that owns A Restaurant in NB and Crystal Cove.

We visited CdM for dinner this past Saturday, and I want to start by recognizing the positives. We…read morereceived a very warm welcome from Andrea, who was courteous, professional, and accommodating when we requested a different table. The staff who assisted with seating and bringing silverware were also friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our dining experience declined once our order was taken. We ordered the Beets Salad as our starter, followed by the Chicken Piccata and Salmon as our entrées. The salad arrived within about five minutes, but we then waited nearly 40 minutes for our main courses without any acknowledgment or update. When I asked our waitress about the delay, her only response was, "Your order was fired 15 minutes ago." When I asked why it had taken so long, she simply repeated the same statement. At no point did she offer a sincere apology or show any empathy for the extended wait. As someone who has owned and managed businesses, I know that delays can happen. However, a simple apology and proactive communication can make all the difference in how guests perceive the experience. The food itself was excellent, and both entrées were well prepared. Unfortunately, the service continued to disappoint. After we finished our meals, our waitress immediately cleared our plates and brought the check without asking whether we would like dessert, coffee, or anything else to finish our evening. That was surprising and made us feel rushed. I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that every business can have an off night. In this case, however, the issue was not the kitchen delay--it was the lack of communication, empathy, and basic hospitality. Had our waitress simply apologized, kept us informed, or involved a manager, this review likely would not have been necessary. I hope management views this as constructive feedback. Andrea and several other staff members represented the restaurant exceptionally well, but I believe additional customer service training would help ensure that situations like this are handled with greater professionalism and care in the future.

For such a special milestone occasion, we expected our family to be able to enjoy a meal together. Instead, our food came out 45 minutes apart, we were a family that waits for everyone to had their food and by the time everyone had their food our sub par food was cold. That is simply unacceptable. Our server, Patrick, was very good and did his best to take care of our group. The problem was clearly with the kitchen. Food arrived extremely late, some dishes were not prepared as ordered, and overall, the flavors were subpar. The waterfront view is nice, but it does not make up for poor kitchen execution and disappointing food--especially for a special celebration. Skip this place. JOEY Newport Beach, down the street, near fashion island is consistent and offers a far better dining experience.
