The cheese tteokbokki I ordered barely had any cheese and was very soup-y which was not how I expected it to be. It was overly spicy where you could not taste any other flavor and it felt like it needed to cook for longer. They had half an egg in there like why don't you just give me the whole egg?? A friend recommended this place for the best Korean chicken on the island. I would never have guessed this little gem with a "BBQ Chicken" sign serves Korean chicken (not barbecue lol)! I'm so glad we were told to go there and will definitely be recommending to all our friends! We got the half and half with the golden fried chicken and secret sauce chicken. Both were SO good and so different! Super juicy chicken and that secret sauce is just indescribable. I kept trying to figure out what all the flavors were! We (2 people) went in super hungry and we left so full and we still had enough leftover for 1-2 more people. A lot of people that came in after us ordered ddokbokki so I'll definitely try that next time! The chicken at this restaurant is really good, but what i wasn't expecting was to get an allergic reaction from it. I have an allergy to peanuts and after eating the chicken i realized that i was getting an allergic reaction from it. I have tried BBQ chicken, South Korean fried chicken franchise, in my visit to Seoul, South Korea, and it is very spicy there, and they deliver to your residence. The regular fried, whole chicken pieces are delicious, at this Kahala Marketplace location, across from Kahala mall, and they usually have alot of customers, even though the prices are very expensive, for a whole chicken box! I usually order the regular fried chicken, whole, which is around 16-18 pieces, and the daikon pieces, in the square box, I guess the round plastic bowl. I would recommend this KFC, Korean Fried chicken place, to others if they can afford this high price of $35.00 or more for a whole chicken, or chicken wings! read more

Rude staff and misleading hours. Stopped in to order dinner for my family at 850 pm on a Thursday night. Chairs were on the table and the staff told me they were closed. I noted the sign on the door says 9 pm is the time they close. The employee said they close at 845. We get the half n half chicken combo. At first it was great with tons of meaty crispy spicy chicken deliciousnesses! But sadly the past few times half our chickens are all bones. Heard about this place on Quick Eats and had to go try the chicken sandwich. Since we did take-out it was about 15 minutes before we were able to eat and I am sure it effected this taste test. All the flavors were there, from the soft brioche bun, fried chicken, cole slaw, and sauce. The texture was off though due to the partially soggy bun and the fried chicken was not as crispy as it probably was if we ate it right when we got it.
