Came here and got rose ddeok bokki, fires, and spicy gabi wings. Loved the rose ddeok bokki. That was absolutely delicious. The chicken tasted a bit metallic to me but plenty of sauce so I didn't mind. The fires stayed crispy with it being a take out which I like. Their box has holes so allow for the food to stay crispy. I loved their music and found two new artists I like to add to my repertoire of artists to listen to. Star taken off mostly for service. It was very slow I got take out and they wrote my name down wrong so it ended up sitting on the counter an additional 10 minutes before I checked. I'd advise double checking what they have your name as when you do take out to avoid the confusion. This is a big parking lot so not too difficult to find parking but also not super easy with multiple other businesses in the area. My boyfriend and I shared a 4 piece honey garlic wings, fries, and an 8 piece boneless cheesling. Everything was SO good. The honey garlic was so garlicky and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The fries were so crispy, would definitely recommend. The cheesling was so unique. It was sweet and very cheesy, which I've never experienced with boneless wings before but I would definitely get this if I was in the mood for a sweet, dry rub. Service was really good and person that helped me had a really great attitude. The food was soooo good! The boneless wings came out nice and steamy. Biting into them the batter was light but so crispy. The chicken was so juicy. I recommend eating it right after it's been served, but some of the crisp remained after warming up later. They already served several groups after our initial order. They forgot about us several times which was indicated by when they kept asking if all our food was out. Alas, I finally got to try this place out! I first found out about this place because hehe *k-dramas* -- only to find out that this is the true OG Korean fried chicken. I was sad that most of these were in the South Bay so they're a drive down from East Bay, which gets a little annoying sometimes. Chicken is PRICEY like every other Korean fried chicken place you go to so expect to pay ~$20 for 8 pieces. They are big pieces of chicken though so honestly, I feel like 8 pieces is enough for 2 people unless you have a really big appetite. Fried chicken was GREAT! It was pretty flavorful all throughout and loved the crunch and juiciness. We also got the Gangnam flavor boneless and cheese fries (which I kind of regret because it felt like a lot of food). Gangnam flavor was really good and they use chicken thighs, so they weren't dry. Cheese fries were also cheesy and pretty good but the portion was A LOT for a side. I kind of wish there was portion size for the fries. The fries seem to have been covered in some sort of sugar or sweetness which kind of threw me off a little because I expected just pure cheese. But in Korean food culture, I read that they like their sweets-- so that makes sense! We definitely had leftovers and it's just not as good when you re-heat them. The fried chicken's taste kind of disappears and the cheese fries seems like something you can't really re-heat up because it turns into candy-like fries in the air-fryer. I thought it was a tad sweet for my taste, I probably will not get it again. I will most likely stick to regular fries. Two of my roommates had dinner with us and they ordered the rose tteokbokki, original, and the spicy galbi. All of us enjoyed the rose tteokobbi. My roommate thought the original was better here than the other location she's been to. Then my other roommate thought the spicy galbi was okay. The employees were nice and helpful. The one thing I do wish they had Korean beer to pair with my soju. The parking lot can be crowded because of the other restaurants/boba/dessert places in the same plaza. So plan accordingly. The food was very good. Loved the Kimchi pasta and seasoned fries. I liked that it was mostly self service. Not sure if it was because the front desk girl was just overwhelmed but she got 2/4 of our items wrong (seems like she gave to wrong table). It was too late by the time we realized. I ordered from Uber eats but the only branch at the SF Bay area is on Milpitas. I ordered the Soy Garlic and the Original Daekjeong recipe. We loved the Daekjeong flavor as it is crispy, crunchy, slightly hot and savory flavor. It is the breading mix, marinated fried chicken with a savory, slightly hot and addictingly finger smacking good seasoning. I bought some onions rings, french fries, extra pickled radish and coleslaw. Also the service was fast too! Highly recommend this branch of bb.q chicken.
