This place is such a consistent for us when we want good AYCE Kbbq! They recently changed their set up so it's no longer a self-serve buffet but full service, so you order on the menu and they bring everything out for you. I do like this because it helps reduce waste and portion control, and they've added a few new menu items like intestines but kept old favorites like the raw marinated crabs. Service is always great and the restaurant was pretty busy for lunch time on a Saturday, which is always a good sign. There were a couple big tables celebrating birthdays, so it's also a good spot for larger groups. read more

Finally visited Arirang after years of driving by. We liked it. They did some things better than others, but we will definitely return. What's good: The value. We both ordered K2 for $35.99 each, and it came with 8-9 AYCE meats and self serve sides included. May I suggest that you ask for a "half portion" of the first four meats you pick? They bring you an INSANE amount of meat. Even if you are starving, making it through the first round is no small feat and you may not even have room for a second round. Just remember, you can always get more! Favorites were marinated beef, beef short ribs, pork short ribs, and spicy pork. Service was perfect. Sodas have free refills. What could have been better: We weren't crazy about the banchan in comparison to other places. The kimchi was good, but they had some odd things like pasta salad and mashed potatoes that seemed out of place. We liked the "salad bar" style, but the options weren't very impressive. I have been to this place as early as 2016, and I'm happy to say that the service and food quality has improved since then! I also love their Mill Creek location, and this is a great and affordable KBBQ spot to eat at with friends. At my most recent visit, there were new self-serve side bars added, and there were a variety of side dishes. I really enjoyed the amount of options we had, and the fried food was kept warm. The meat is also available for you to grab at the side bar, which I think is a great idea because you can feel free to grab whatever you want, and whenever you want! I believe the only meat you need to order from a server to bring out is the beef brisket. The service was wonderful, the servers were attentive to our needs and came to ask us if we wanted another order of beef brisket when they saw that we were low. So the head cook from H Mart recently bought this restaurant. It is still an AYCE Korean BBQ, but much better. The amount of banchan and side dishes available exponentially increased. And every single one of them tasted fantastic! I had to restrain myself from eating more Korean bbq wings, onion pancakes, mandu, etc. The meats were all well-marinated and of decent quality. I have been to Arirang both the Lynnwood location and Mill Creek location several times throughout the years. The most recent visit to the Lynnwood location was a little disappointing as we noticed their AYCE menu meat selection was only down to 4 kinds - beef brisket, pork belly, marinated meat, and shrimp. We didn't eat shrimps so we ended up only having 3 kinds of meat for all you can eat. The side dish /salad/soup bar was amazingly with a lot of different kinds of food for you to take though. Nonetheless, we felt the selection of AYCE meats was very small compared to other AYCE KBBQ places. And we were there for the bbq meats, not for the other cooked dishes. The staff was friendly. As a Christmas celebration, my coworkers and I went here for their AYCE KBBQ. Super excited as I haven't been to an AYCE KBBQ for such a loooong time. My manager made a reservation for 10 people in advance, and we were able to seat easily after a long work day. The location that we went to is located in the Eunia Plaza on Highway 99 in Lynnwood. There's a parking lot with ample parking. The restaurant was relatively big. It can definitely accommodate a lot of huge parties which was great! Instead of the normal grill in the table, their grills are the portable, slanted circular ones on top of the table which is very common in Korea (according to the dramas I've watched at least LOL). We all ordered the K2 AYCE BBQ set which was $33 per person. Not a bad deal! It contained marinated beef, chicken, spicy pork, beef short rib, beef brisket, pork belly, and pork collar. Since there were 3 tables of us, our server just brought everything at once and from there, we ordered whatever we wanted more of. I thought that was a great way to start the meal as we were all able to try everything first before ordering more of something we wanted. It also saved a lot of time deciding what we wanted like how some places have a max 4-5 meats each time. The meat were all delicious! The marinated ones were especially really good. Unlike many KBBQ places, this restaurant had a buffet style of banchan which was amazing! We got to load up our plates with different banchans instead of fighting for more then ordering more with our server. They had about 8 choices of banchan including egg drop soup! The egg drop soup was soooo good. I couldn't help myself and got a ton of servings even though I was super full LOL. There were also sauces we could choose on the side (doenjang (soy bean paste), chili pepper, shoyu, etc.). Overall, this is definitely a great place for AYCE KBBQ for a reasonable price. My daughter took me here on Father's Day last year. We had the all you can eat meal. The server brings the raw meat to the table and there's a hot grill in the center. On another side table you can get other items to grill with your proteins like fresh garlic or sliced chili peppers just to name a few. Then you have a side dish table loaded with many types of kimchi. Its buffet style so you can fell free to serve your self. Even if you not eating a top dollar item that kimchi table is open to all of their customers. We came around 8:00pm on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy. We got seated around 8:30pm, and there was 9 of us, so we had to wait for them to put two tables together. I really liked that you just go grab your own meat (except you have to order brisket from them) from the cold bar. And they had a nice hot bar. Lots of sides you can choose from. My family and I stopped here for lunch and we opted for ordering a La carte even though they had an all you can eat option. It was pretty empty as we came during an off time (around 2 pm) and I wish the staff gave us a bigger table because the 4 top was quite small with how much food we ordered plus the bbq grill in the middle took up some space. The quality of the rib eye was not that good (a bit tough) and the chicken was not that flavorful. However the beef short ribs were good. I have no idea what happened but I love it. Arirang has stepped up big time from the old, basically serviceless KBBQ I once knew. I placed this place at 1-2 stars in the past but am happy with how things are after COVID made them change up. Glad to share I had a much better experience as I avoided this place for a long time. Obviously, you need to have expectations as this is one of the cheaper AYCE KBBQ options and you can't expect amazing food or quality or anything. This rating was originally a solid 4 stars but then I considered the price and how much they increased which dropped me to 3.5ish but still rounding up. I think my higher rating is because of my previous expectations so I was pleasantly surprised. Service here used to be embarrassing. You were never checked on, they'd forget requests, and everyone would get full from just waiting. Thing is, in the past you would flag down a server for everything from meats to a grill change to water to side dishes to rice. Now it's only meats, grill change, and water that you need to request. All the sides and rice are nicely placed in a corner (maybe not so nice if you're super skeptical of COVID). With the reduced cognitive load, servers are more likely to remember what you request and get back to you in a timely manner. I know in the past I could ask for multiple bowls of rice for the table and they'd come back 20 minutes later to tell us that they're cooking rice. Then they'd completely forget. Now, there's a huge rice cooker ready with all the rice in the world and they check on it often. Now, the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help out. They try to check on you very little until they notice you're missing meats which I respect because they don't want to constantly interrupt any conversations or whatever. It's really easy to flag one down by looking for them and they'll come ask if you need anything. Change in staff definitely helped improve the place. I swear the menu's changed a bit but not too sure. I recall always ordering the E2 AYCE option among others and now there's only 3 options (K1 K2 K3). Maybe it was a simple name change from E2 to K2 but I can't recall. I do know that the price was like $18.99 or just under $20 before COVID. Now it's $25 so definitely heftier. This is comparing the cheapest option, there are more expensive ones with slight more variety but I genuinely don't think the extra choices validate the price points as they're not that amazing. Arirang, located in Lynnwood, is the only Korean BBQ spot in town that I know of offering outdoor dining in tents. Each tent is equipped with its own gas grill, heater, and Bluetooth speaker. There is ventilation on the bottom of the tent and you can keep the flap doors open for additional air flow. 1) Service (+): Our server was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We called to make a reservation ahead of time for a Saturday evening but there were ample tents available for walk-in around 7pm. 2) Ambience (+): I love the cozy and brightly lit atmosphere that the restaurant was even able to replicate outdoors! Each tent even has its own theme! The restaurant had good COVID safety protocols with the server wearing masks and gloves the whole time. 3) Food (+): I was surprised by the low 2.5 star rating for Arirang, as I found the quality and portion of the food here very impressive. The 3 of us ordered 2 people's portion of grilled pork belly and we were so satisfied! Each order of 2 or more portions of meat came with cheesy corn, steamed egg, kimchi stew, a variety of side dishes (including potato salad, fish cakes, radish and cabbage kimchi) and rice. I would really give this place a 3.5, if possible. It hits the spot if you're really trying to stuff yourself with food and still have a bit of variety. I ordered a 2 person takeout meal from them and it was only $42, and there was more meat, rice, and side dishes than my boyfriend and I could finish - so it really was good value for money. We ordered bulgogi (which was good and nicely flavored), brisket and pork belly (both of these very dry). We included in our takeout notes that we wanted sesame oil w/salt and bean paste but they didn't include that in our order, but that's was fine since they gave us heaping portions for the side dishes. The side dishes included kimchi (not bad), radish (not good ), fish cakes (tasted old and plain), and mashed potatoes (not bad). A family friend treated our extended family to Korean bbq at Arirang on Saturday noon. When we arrived at noon there were only a few tables occupied, but one had close to 25 guests sitting at it. By the time we left, over an hour later, the place was very busy. The menu is straightforward. 7 days a week adults pay $39 for all you can eat. There's a list of what you could grill, including brisket, shrimp, pork belly, chicken, pork and mushrooms. You also can order more expensive meats, such as LA Golbi and Bulgogi, as we did but I think the brisket, pork belly and shrimp were the best. After you tell the server which 3 things you want to start with, you get up and walk to the front corner where a cafeteria style array of small dishes await your selection. No kidding, there are no less than 50-60 items to choose from. You serve these yourself on a plate. Of course, there are many kinds of kimchi but so many other Korean foods as well, for example calamari, fried tofu, sorry too many to name. I really liked the seaweed soup! Don't forget to get some lettuce to wrap up your bbqed meats. Back at your table the gas canister cooktop has been set up. Just start cooking and eating. Ask for more meat as you go. Don't be shy. Everyone at our table completely and uncomfortably overate! Fun time! Glad I didn't have to cook though because the area around the little cooktop got warm. They had your usual kimchi and marinated veggies but they also had marinated blue crab!!! Also had Korean chicken wings (golden fried and with the Korean sauce)! The quality of meat went back to what it used to be which is great. Still tho 2 things hold this place back, I still feel as if the sides sit out on the cold and get stale, I've had experiences where I get the sides/soup and they're very stale or like warm which is disappointing. I think the least they could have is some heat lamps or something for the food and to reheat the soup every hour idk. Also I feel as if the grills take really long to heat up and cook your meat, the old pans they used to have would get HOT and these in the table ones take quite a bit of time to get going which I don't really like. Restaurant is located inside a small Korean style mini strip mall. The restaurant itself has ample space but the table itself could be bigger. Their AYVE menu can be confusing as they not only have three different tier, but also a single pricing tier. But in short, the $55.00 price for the AYCE if you are a solo eater, else if the entire group opts for the AYCE, then it's the three tier pricing (tops out at $37). The food quality is there (some will find the spicy pork too overpowering). Their side dishes are on the light side with only a few that you get yourself from a buffet style table. This Korean BBQ place is one of the few All You Can Eat places I've been to in the Seattle area. Located in Lynnwood along highway 99 this is a popular BBQ place that has become one of my favorites. There is an area where you can get your own plate and help yourself to as much sides, rice, salad and soup as you want (beware the potato salad will fill you up). My only critique is that the buffet system isn't the safest given we are still in a pandemic but they do provide disposable gloves. I did notice a few people not wearing their mask when going from their table to the buffet station. Overall despite their price increase, I will still be coming back whenever I crave KBBQ! read more
