Service and food were great. It was a little pricey for lunch, but we managed. We will definitely try it again for dinner.

Was hoping for more great que from this place, and I have mixed reviews. My partner loved his sausage plate with slaw and potato salad. He likes spicy. I had the 3 meat plate with ribs, brisket and pulled pork, potato salad and Mac n cheese. Brisket was on the dry side. Ribs had a serious rub that was too much for me, but tasty except for that. Pulled pork was also a little dry but good with the red sauce. Potato salad was spicy- not sure where that heat came from. Mac n cheese was ok but nothing special. I had rave review for our last visit. This time I'm a 3 and he's a 5 so 4 overall. Not sure if we will try again. And still not sure what the rice is all about- I'm a barbecue fanatic but can't remember que that came with rice before. Sauces are great. read more

You read the reviews your going sounds like medford finally gets a a bbq place, well nope you walk in there's no smell of smoke or a bbq place , the brisket was done in a oven no smoke ring or bark no smoke flavor what so ever dry as cardboard the pulled pork was dry I swear it was freezes dried pull pork I been to bbq places all over the country I have never had bbq served over stir fried rice wtf was that!!!! the food was not even warm the Mac and cheese was terrible again not even warm the potato salad was ok for a store bought the wife had a brisket sandwich it was dry as cardboard the slaw on it was not good no flavor she said only took a couple bites it was bad don't waste your money read more

I got the tri-tip and by the time I got it home the slices were pretty dried out. Came here off of yelp reviews and wanting some bbq but the flavoring they used in my mind was a little bland. Tried it with their bbq sauce and it helped a bit. Willing to give it another shot in the future but wasn't very impressed with my first sampling. read more

Just tried this little gem on door dash and what a wonderful surprise. We had the Brisket, pulled pork and ribs. All were delicious. My wife particularly loved their yellow BBQ sauce. Meat was cooked perfectly, juicy and a real treat. Wife also liked the potato salad and I enjoyed the Mac n cheese. read more

I don't know why the Culinary Gods decided to punish Medford. You'd think the biggest city by far in Jackson County would have plenty of good restaurants (and we do have a half dozen or so), but as often as not we end up dining in Ashland or Jacksonville or ... Talent? The situation is especially dire for barbecue fans. Tim's Backyard BBQ didn't last. Cartwright's quit making their weekend BBQ. Rogue-ish Smokers' sauce is weird IMO, and their beans are flavorless. Texas Roadhouse? No. Just no. But now our BBQ desert has an oasis of sorts. BBQ House is tiny, with just three tables inside and a couple of picnic tables outside, and their business model seems to be slanted toward take-out. But never mind. They're good. Very good. Even the coleslaw is good, and I don't like coleslaw. Beans rank a close second to the Medford Mud at Downtown Market. But a BBQ joint is about the meat. So far I've had brisket and ribs, and they're the best in town. The sauce has just the right amount of vinegar. The Culinary Gods are cruel. Unless Medford supports distinctive local (i.e., not franchise) places like BBQ House, the Gods might decide we don't deserve them. Go try them soon! read more

So we decided to try this new restaurant cause we love supporting new businesses and the owners were very sweet. I am very glad we tried them. It isn't "fancy" but definitely worth the price and quite tasty. My son said he liked the meat as much as Backporch and while I wouldn't go that far I will go back for sure. It costed less and the portion size was hearty My son got the pork plate with beans and extra rice. His friend got the brisket sandwich. They both loved their food. My husband and I split a meat plate with the ribs, brisket, and pork. I thought the potato salad was good same with coleslaw. Not great but good. I wasn't a fan of the beans (prob spoiled by the ones at Backporch) but my boys all liked them fine. All of the meats were quite good. My son loved the bite of rubs so much he begged me for all of them. They were delicious. They were out of biscuits so gave us some Mac. The Mac was very nostalgic. It is a old school not fancy Mac. Perfect kind to drizzle in sirracha. We were all stuffed and had leftovers. I would definitely recommend trying it and I imagine it will only get better as they get their sea legs under them running a new restaurant. So I would encourage everyone to give them a chance. No it isn't the best barbecue I've ever had (neither is Backporch but hey I have been to Memphis!) but we got our food fast and it was quite tasty and affordable read more

The brisket was tasty but very fatty. Don't like paying $20 a pound for fat. The beans were excellent.

So to preface this, the food is absolutely amazing!!! Suuuuper happy to have found my local barbecue restaurant! Walking to the restaurant I had never gone that far on this road past my church and my boyfriend, son and I were looking, and right on the corner we found a sign on a window. As we were reading it to see if we had arrived, some large aggressive looking unhappy hostile scary man came bursting out! I am autistic, I have trauma, and I thought I was about to die. I didn't even know what to say or do, but my fawn response kicked in and I kinda pleaded repeatedly we just wanted to eat etc. He didn't do anything else scary and quietly went back inside. I ordered from Uber eats the next time because that had me worried and still does really. I don't understand why that happened. ? Back to the food...so There is brisket and pulled pork and more, sandwiches are completely perfect the way I like it with coleslaw served atop the meat on the sandwich. Nice and fully loaded on there was the meat and he served it with two sauces! Yum! A traditional mustard based and the regular bbq. I am so excited about neither of them being spicy! That's excellent! He has plates, bowls, combos, and platters. I forgot what else he had, it was baked beans which I didn't try yet, and the macaroni and cheese was OFF THE HOOK SPECTACULAR! Like I am still wondering to myself a month and a half later, was this possibly the absolute #1 favorite macaroni and cheese I have ever eaten?? It could truly be! Comes in a small, med, and large. Small is too small, it's so good I guarantee you are going to want more in a little while! If I remember right, my guy and I shared the sandwich and macaroni, and it was $10 or so for both of us to be full! We got to sit right by the sunny windows which is going to happen for you too as long as you make it safely inside. It's clean, sunny, fountain pop, so inexpensive I had to triple check the price because I didn't believe it was correct the first two times I looked but somehow yeah! Take my advice and next time you are thinking about going for fast food or a gas station do yourself a favor and save some money and eat this bomb bbq!!! Whopper or Big Mac? Great BBQ... The owner (Nick) is very friendly and the quality of the meat is excellent. Service is on time and prices are very reasonable. It's my new "go too" for BBQ in the Rogue Valley. Small inside but summer dining will be outdoors and wonderful. read more

We did not eat here but when we entered the older man at the counter had been smoking cigarettes. I cannot comment on the food as the cigarettes was too strong and we were concerned the food would be tainted by the tobacco. read more

Stopped in for lunch, had the brisket sandwich It was sliced, not shaved and full of flavor, good smoke ring and a great smokiness that didn't overpower the meat. Served on a nun with pickle, onion and coleslaw. I asked for my slaw on the side, because often it's just too much or swimming in mayonnaise. The portion was just perfect and the slaw was fresh, crisp and flavorful. I will definitely be going back! read more

We saw the place while driving down Main st. So we decided to give it a try. The food was great! We had the 3 meat order of ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. All 3 were excellent. The rib meat was falling off of the bone and the other two were very tender and flavorful. Their BBQ sauce was a very nice flavor too. Our sides were coleslaw, beans, and mac&cheese. All very good. I have spent many years living in the South and have had some really good BBQ, and this place is the best in town IMO. We had the ribs, brisket, coleslaw, and potato salad. We discovered this driving up to Corvallis from the Bay Area for my son's university orientation at Oregon State. I've eaten my share of BBQ and this was, in my mind, absolutely top flight. Ribs were excellent, the brisket was as good as any I've had -- and the prices absurdly cheap. I'll be traveling back and forth to Corvallis a fair amount in the years to come -- and this is going to be a regular stop. read more
