My parents used to love this place. We would come to Vegas three times a year for about 5 days. It was normal for my parents to have dinner here together for 5 consecutive days. They liked the authentic flavors, well-priced food. They're Chinese. My dad always enjoyed the porridge, roast pork and duck, and the various stirfry dishes. Since the pandemic, My parents were certain that they changed owners and dined there once and decided they weren't coming back. I couldn't tell why. The service and food and overall cleanliness all seemed painfully mediocre to me as it always had. I've sampled a significant amount of dishes over the years, and they've all been just okay. Fried rice, it's fine. Mongolian Beef, It's okay. The salt and pepper fried pork chops I used to like, last time I had it was overly salted. Minced meat soup, it's good. They're probably popular for their 3 bbq meat combo, which includes roast pork, duck, and chicken. The chicken is not my favorite, but the roast pork and duck are delicious. Love the crispy skin of the pork and the sweet-salty bbq flavor of the duck. If I were to recommend anything, it'd be the two bbq combo of the pork and duck. Good stuff. read more

I first have to say I was very disappointed with my service and quality of food here. What attracted me to this place was that they had peking duck. However, I was unaware that I would have to buy it in mass qualities to have a taste of it. The roasted duck was what I had and it was as disappointing as being a child on Christmas finding out that Santa didn't exist. Resulting in no presents under the tree and a crushed spirit. The meat was very fatty and most of the duck had bones as well as the skin was crispy in some places but soggy in most. I think the portion of the skin that was crispy was just a tail sign of it sitting under the warming pad for too long. The combination plate that I got came with rice and some bok choy. I've never been a huge fan of bok choy but on occasions i have had some pretty tasty ones. This however was not the time for tasty. The bok choy was flavorless and bland. The rice was also disappointing. It was dried out and reminded me of what starving people in China might think is good only because it was all they had to eat for the day. I was however happy with the warm tea that was served complimentary with my meal. I did enjoy it up until the waitress asked me if I wanted some more hot water. I guess I assumed it was tea based on it being in a tea pot and being very dark in color like that of tea. However once she referred to it as hot water I was horrified by how much of it I had drank prior to that very moment. I'm praying now for the sake of my stomach that it was tea and that her English was poor. And she didn't import her hot water from a third world country. All in all I think I'll probably pass on this place next time since there are so many very good Chinese places in China Town that would be better to choose over this one in the future. read more

Roast duck was fatty and unseasoned. Did they truly expect every person to dip the duck into the plum sauce? What if you don't like plum sauce? My mom and dad have been coming here for years prior to covid. They said it was the best place for Chinese bbq so I had to try it. My dad recently passed away so my mom missed this place. This is my go to for Chinese food whenever I'm craving. It's a smaller space restaurant, but I love it that way. I always get the beef chow fun and a few other dishes and everything has been very delicious. If you dine in at night for dinner, they'll sometimes serve a homemade hearty Chinese soup and that's one of my favorite things about this place. She yelled at me and my friend from the start asking us if we were dining in, and then appeared very irritated and annoyed when we said we were dining in. Came here to pick up a whole roasted duck for dinner at home. They had been cash only for the longest time so i was a bit skeptical when i got here. I asked them first if they accepted credit card and they apparently they now accept credit card (minimum purchase of $20). Roast duck itself is already $24, plus another 1/2 pound of pig ears for i think $5. Duck was very meaty and the skin was crispy even after i got home. Though very rarely we'd eat it as soon as it gets home. Flavorful and yummy. Always ask for the plum sauce that comes with it. I love BBQ King! I would categorize this establishment as a hidden gem! Their food has tons of flavor and in my opinion one of the few Chinese spots that are not infused with any other culture. This is true recipes as if you were visiting China! My favorite dishes here are the Crispy Pork Belly and Peking Duck! The pork Belly is so juicy with the skin being Crispy! When you take a bite the flavors are amazing! The Peking Duck is to die for! They make the skin so Crispy that when you add that to the bun and sauce you just can't get enough! The prices here I feel are cheaper than other Chinese restaurants which makes it attractive to come here. They have a great Lunch Special so definitely check it out! The venue is where I would rate this low. It's a small restaurant and it's just very basic in design. Yes the food is awesome but there is so much movement within customer pick ups that it can get loud being that it's small. It's really a place to eat and then go! The service is ok. The beef stir fry noodles literally turned into mush after reheating to eat at home. My parents are obsessed with this place. Everytime they are in town they eat here. You can tell it's going to be authentic becuseI've actually never seen a non Cantonese speaking person eat here. They definitely are not catering to tourists. Truthfully the first time I ate here I did not like it at all. We got the half duck and pork bbq. It was super fatty... mostly fat actually. The eggplant dish we ordered was super fatty and oily as well and way too saucy. The beef and Chinese broccoli was pretty good but the beef was not that good. However the filet mignon, green beans and mushroom is really good and everything else we've ever ordered was good. The food is very flavorful, kinda dirty. It reminds me of Chinese food in San Gabriel in ca. The service has always been good in my opinion especially for a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. The last time we were there the service was exceptional. The guy server is awesome I didn't get his name. Their desserts are prob the best part of the meal.
