    Spicy Mayo Chicken

The food is always great and reliable here! The meat is always cooked fresh and the sauce is always just right. The pickles also help with any flavor fatigue that could occur. It's a great balanced meal I can eat in my lunch time that doesn't make me drowsy after. The service is fast, kind, and reliable everytime. It's a great comfortable place to stop by or pick up food from! (P.S. music taste is great here)

BBQ + Rice is a solid and satisfying pick for a quick, affordable meal in West LA. You won't find a better deal. The Spicy Chicken ($11.50) boasts 24-hour sautéed Gochujang marinated chicken, complemented by house-made cucumber pickles, bok choy, cabbage, bell peppers, and diced onions, all topped with roasted sesame seeds and green onions. It really hit the spot for a late lunch with a friend and filled me up. Skip the long lines at the place a few doors down and come here instead. It's mainly a take-out spot with limited seating, but there is a bathroom for customers. Come check out this spot for lunch if you work or live nearby.

Bulgogi (Beef) I came here the other day for lunch, and it was tasty. Drinks are in cans and bottles, $2.20 a drink, food and drink are reasonable. Parking sucks! There is indoor seating, but i got mine to go. More of a take out type of spot. They have homemade kimchi. The food is well seasoned and not over sauced. The veggies and meat were cooked perfectly. The manager or owner was very nice. If you are a.saucy type of person... then I would order extra sauce on the side.

Cheap and convenient Asian rice bowl spot in West LA! I ordered takeout from here and the experience was decent. I ordered online through their website. However, I wasn't sent a confirmation email which made me anxious since I didn't have a receipt to present to redeem the meal. However, when I visited I just stated my name and I got my order easily. I ordered the Spicy Mayo Chicken rice bowl and it was good. I was surprised since it was actually spicy (most fusion places like this say it's spicy but it turns out to be mild) which I enjoyed. The chicken texture and quality is like the orange chicken you'd get at a Chinese takeout place. It was comforting but nothing special. I wish there was more mayo sauce. It came with mixed greens and pickles which was a nice and fresh contrast to the heavy saucy fried chicken and rice. The white rice was cooked well and was not too mushy or dry. The bowl was pretty filling and was only $12 which is a steal in today's economy. It reminds me of the meals I would purchase in college. They have a parking lot shared with other businesses which could get full, but getting a spot shouldn't be too hard. The interior looked like a standard casual eats place. My food was packaged well and there were no spills. Overall, a decent Asian fusion eats place. I would eat here again if I needed something filling and cheap.

Good food friendly service, it was hot and fresh. We had the beef bowl and tofu bowl, or was tasty. Not enough beef though, a little more would be nice. Not too salty.

Awesome spot for a great meal. Everything is freshly made and made to order. The service is awesome. Staff is friendly and helpful when you don't know what you want. My office go to for lunch.

So have you ever had the experience of randomly choosing a place and then being pleasantly surprised with how good it turns out to be? I was starving after a long day of work and hesitantly chose this place. I definitely had a few doubts as I was waiting. But then the food came out and I was really blown away with how flavorful it was. I got the Bulgogi bowl and the sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. Both were awesome and I would definitely order both again. I wish they had a larger size of the sweet and spicy chicken because that was super tasty. Although it looks unassuming hole in the wall in the middle of a shopping center near West Hollywood, the product is definitely higher quality than the surroundings. The ratings of this restaurant are not a fluke. The food is good. Five stars.

This is my third time ordering from BBQ + Rice through DoorDash, and it has consistently been a solid choice. The bowls are always generously portioned, filling, and never skimped on, definitely a good value for the price. I love adding a little sriracha on top and pairing it with cabbage, which makes the perfect combo. Their homemade kimchi is especially delicious and really elevates the meal. The only thing I'm not a big fan of are the pickles--out of three times, one order was great, but the other two tasted rubbery with an off flavor. I think cabbage would be a better side option to complement the bowls. I made my own and put it on top, it's just what it needs. They should add it for a side dish. Overall, this is one of my go-to spots when I want something flavorful, hearty, and satisfying. Highly recommend the bowls--just not the pickles.

Spicy chicken bowls and bulgogi bowls and a side of crispy chicken and kimchee. Everything was delicious!

This place is delicious! The bowls are nice and big, very filling. Food is delicious! Bowls have the right amount of rice, meat, and vegetables. The service is great, young man at the counter is helpful and polite. The restaurant is very clean with hip music playing in the background. I can say it's my favorite bowl!

If you're a fan of Korean BBQ but crave something that's both convenient and delicious, BQQ + Rice is the hidden gem you didn't know you needed in your life. I'm all about bold flavors and comfort food, and their Bulgogi Beef Bowl delivers on both fronts! First off, the bulgogi itself is absolutely chef's kiss--tender, marinated beef with that perfect balance of sweet and savory. You can tell they take their time with the marination, because the flavors just melt into the meat with every bite. The rice? Perfect. Fluffy, sticky, and the perfect base to soak up all those juicy beef drippings. It's not clumpy, and it doesn't get soggy, which I really appreciate. But wait--there's more! The dish is topped with an array of fresh garnishes: crunchy pickled veggies that add just the right amount of tang, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds that elevate the whole thing. The portion size is generous, and I walked away feeling full but not overly stuffed. The atmosphere inside BQQ + Rice is casual and welcoming. It's the kind of place you can swing by for a quick bite.

I figured I'd give the recommendation a try, and I'm so glad I did. From the outside, it's in a pretty nondescript industrial area, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But once you walk in, it feels like you've discovered a hidden neighborhood gem. The café has a relaxed, beachy vibe with a cozy, homey atmosphere. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor tables, and I noticed a lot of people enjoying breakfast, catching up with friends, or working on their laptops. I ordered the American breakfast with eggs, kale salad, sourdough toast with butter and jam, avocado, and tomatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I also had a black coffee and one of their Bluey's coconut waters, which was a nice addition to the meal. One thing I really appreciated was the location. Even though it's tucked away from the busy streets, there's plenty of parking, it's peaceful, and you don't feel rushed. It's the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. Great food, great atmosphere, easy parking, and a place I'd happily come back to. If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast or brunch on the Westside, especially if you're coming from LAX, Bluey's Cafe is absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommended!

We covered a good amount of their key items. The main takeaway is that while everything is cooked well, but the dishes really lack flavor. I dine out to get flavors that are not easily made at home, and unfortunately, I did not find them here. The food lacks depth, and frankly, it needs salt to make it stand out. The pizza dough is actually really well prepped, easily as good as Pizzeria Sei, which is the best pizza place in LA, period. But again, it just lacks flavor.
