Seated quickly at a great high top in the bar area. Definitely had the smell and look of a Cajun place and the menu did not disappoint. I had a delicious cup of seafood gumbo and an oyster PoBoy that was scrumptious. Fletch had a shrimp poboy and a cup of gumbo and TC had another poboy. I've been to BB's plenty of times and usually have good experiences except this visit. I ordered the triple play with Fried Shrimp, Boudin Link and Lemon Pepper Wings ($19.99). While the presentation lacked the food did too. This was my first time trying the wings which I was looking forward too but they were tiny, overcooked, dry and flavorless. You can see from the picture how they looked burnt. The boudin link was decent, the flavor is there and it's quite meaty if you're into that. The fried shrimp honestly saved the dish, they were tasty, seasoned and fresh. I also ordered a side green beans ($4.99) and not a pinch of salt, they definitely looked better than they tasted. * I have visited this location a few times when visiting the Lowe's nearby. I always sit outside when I come, the view is usually pretty peaceful. However, the service can be a bit slow when you choose outside seating. * The food is okay, I would give it a 3 on a perfect day if you're particular when it comes to seafood. The waiters are usually pretty nice whether they realize how terribly slow their service is at times or not, they aren't rude at all. * On my last visit, I decided to try their gumbo for the first time, not expecting anything spectacular. I ended up not having room in my belly to try it so I asked for it to go... this is where things went left. In the photo, you can see a nice amount of rice in comparison to the gumbo itself. I asked for this to go, UNTOUCHED.. meaning I hadn't eaten any of it. They packed it to go in a way that looked decent from a glance, but when I got home I opened everything completely and found a CONDIMENT CONTAINER with the rice in it! Literally, a small plastic container you'd put condiments in. It made absolutely no sense, the manager refunded me when I called, something I didn't ask her to do. Her attitude was terrible! Ordering Gumbo at a restaurant in my experience is a road to disappointment, but BB's really came through! The gumbo had so much flavor, you can taste the thoughtfulness behind the preparation. The Fried shrimp were a good size, a safe option if you're unsure what to order and the French fries deadly. I almost had to ask for more! Fried pickles were okay, In my opinion could have crispier. Boudin balls had a generous amount of filling, I couldn't tell if it was the sauce or the balls but there was a nice hint of spice. If it's a nice day, I recommend getting outdoor seating. What's up with the seasoning on the outside of crabs? I went to this "Cajun" resturant and ordered 2 clusters of Dungnness crabs. they they asked me do I want "The Tex-Orleans Way, The Louisiana Way, or The Citrus Garlic Way?" what gives said I. OH after we boil the crabs we coat them in different sauces. I asked can I eat the shell? then why would I want crap all over it? they said that's the only way they do them. that's just ignant don't they know to season the water that the crabd boil in so the seasoning gets into the crab meat that you eat. My family and I found this restaurant via Yelp and we had passed by a few times and wanted to try it out. We entered and were quickly seated by a very sweet hostess/server. As we sat at our table and we're viewing the menu, a server, Jacinda, passed us several times and made eye contact each time without welcoming us or even saying someone would be with us. We sat at the table about 4-5 minutes watching the server walking back and forth serving others. My family decided to leave not necessarily because of the time we sat there but how we were overlooked without even being greeted. On our way out the server, Jacinda, walks towards us and asks "You all aren't eating here? You leaving?" My family responded "Yes." Jacinda in a very rude tone says "Where you going? You should've eaten here but okay, bye." The way I was feeling and the way she spoke to my family, it could have gotten real ugly for her real fast. I kept my cool and walked out. However, I couldn't rest because she was so rude. I spoke to Raul, the manager, and he was apologetic and asked us to stay. We decided not to because the environment, for us, was tainted at that point. He understood and did tell us when we come back yo ask for him so we could get the real experience. Everything on my plate was delicious but OMG the mac and cheese WOW! I also got to try the catfish and fried shrimp and it was just as good. The service for this particular BBs has really gone downhill in the last couple of years. . I went there when they announced that they were now serving crawfish a week ago. First visit we ordered 3lbs and granted was expecting the crawfish to be small. What I wasn't expecting was for them to be "micro crawfish". Even the potatoes weren't cooked all the way through. I asked for a boudin link and for whatever reason they added it to the boil and came out super mushy and busted open. Our waitress was subpar, took forever with the smallest things, and then gone. We went back today thinking that we would have a better experience but really wasn't the case. The crawfish were a little bigger but not by much, some even canoe out mushy. There were a few decent size sprinkled in here and there, about 5 or 6 out of 2lbs. We ended up having the same waitress which I didn't want. Before being seated we asked to sit in a particular section but was told that they are sitting us somewhere else. We tried ordering frozen margaritas which we were told the machine was down. We asked for ice cream sandwiches for the kids and were told they didn't have but did come back with a couple after they ate. The bathrooms aren't even being kept up.The crawfish still tastes amazing but the restaurant as a whole is lacking. Hopefully they'll turnaround sooner than later. For now we're planning on going to a different BBs even if it's out of the way. I don't really like giving bad reviews but you have to when something you love goes downhill. She made us splendidly satisfying drinks and is just an awesome bar tender! She was attentive and got our order correct. We ordered a spicy shrimp boil and catfish plate. Ok so this is a rough one to only give 5 stars. THE FOOD IS 5 STARS!!! Food: This is my favorite crawfish in Houston, one of my favorites in the entire world. They do pretty well here with basking them in seasoning, and the seasoning on them is absolutely freaking AAA+ amazing. Service: this is where they lose a star. I've been here 10 times or so, only because it's so close to my house. My favorite location is the one in Katy which is 5 stars across the board. The service here has at best been sub par. Slow to respond, attitudes are not one for service industry. The attitudes feel like you're at a McDonald's at 1am which is acceptable! However, springing $150 tab for crawfish and beer and expected to tip at least 20% means you better pep up and earn it. This is not some new discovery either, the managers and owners are well aware and have not made changes. If they wonder why Katy locations kicks their butts!!!! It's pretty cut and dry. But the bugs are worth the bad service lol. read more

I will start off by saying that I love BB and I have been going to BB for years and years. I go to this location because it's by the house. The last month, though I have gotten cold crawfish consistently. 3 separate visits. I ask every single time for them to make it fresh and they swear that that's their policy and they are made to order. They are not. They keep them in a big cooler in the back. What they don't realize is that some people have been eating crawfish for a long time and can tell, the difference. It's very frustrating and insulting when you spend money there and they continue to give you cold food. My time has probably come to an end from going to this location. Loved the check in on Yelp option in advance so we had our table right when we got there and didn't have to wait. We decided to sit out on the patio, but our table offered apparently hadn't been cleaned. Next our kind server got our drink order. Thankfully nobody wanted anything frozen since the machines were down apparently. Once they came out he took out orders and I personally got the crawfish as my main with lots of add ins and asked for very mild. As I like a little heat only. And our apps were boudin and queso. Once our food came out the server I guess never put in one of our items. Since it never came out and thankfully wasn't on our bill at the end. One of my friends got the cold shrimp with seasoning and butter on the side. My other friend got crawfish with butter and a few add ins. They both had to ask numerous times for their sides of butter and seasoning but eventually did get it. As for my food I couldn't eat it. It's like the spice was turned all the way up. I thought peeling the crawfish would help, but as for all of my add ins they were basically inedible due to the heat level. Our poor server was running around a ton so I never brought it up as it's not the servers fault since all my items did come out. So I kept it to myself, asked for a box and took everything home so I could rinse it off to be able to eat it. I'll have to come back on a day when they are less busy to give it a second try to see the comparison.
