    Chicken and Beef Teriyaki Plate
    Jennifer R.

This place is located in a quiet plaza in Cerritos. It's almost like a hidden gem. Once inside it feels very homey and quite familiar. Upon entering, my brother and I were greeted by the staff. We shared two dishes together and it was sufficient for us both. The food was very tasty and filling. I would definitely come back and try out other items on their menu.

My husband and I were checking out a local card shop and wanted to grab dinner afterwards so we ended up here. We went for the buy 1, get 1 50% chicken bowls. The chicken bowls were made to serve over rice and was simple yet delicious. It also paired well with hot sauce and the teriyaki sauce they provided. If you're looking for something quick and a bang for your buck, I would recommend trying this place out.

    King Short-rib Soup

Passed by this place so many times and finally decided to stop by one night for takeout. Ordered the king short rib soup and jjajangmyeon (not pictured). My oh my was this delicious and so comforting. There were decent amount pieces of short rib inside and even though I had takeout, the soup was still piping hot. The jjajangmyeon also had pieces of pork which added some great flavor. Parking is very easy in this plaza and I definitely will be back to try other food.

Have tried the jajangmyeon, spicy cold noodles, and kimchi fried rice. Give it a try!

So glad it was my turn to choose where we get to have dinner for gal pal night, we all tried a new place and really enjoyed it! Great service, tasty offerings. We ordered the kimchi fried rice, steamed dumplings, black bean noodles, and Donkatsu. Everything was shareable and we had leftovers. The kimchi fried rice was my favorite, full of flavor not too greasy and loved the pieces of beef throughout the dish. I loved their kimchi and radish on the side. The steamed dumplings were lovely with the dipping sauce. The Donkatsu was a little overcooked but it was still a tasty dish with crunchy outside, the sauce was great. Black bean noodles were great but the fans were on full blast in the restaurant, our food got cold pretty fast. The women working behind the counter were hospitable and kind. The 2 of them seem to run the restaurant together. They have a bathroom available, but not in the greatest condition. This place has a lot of charm, overall a good time and would gladly return.

Amazing food for lunch. I've had their different lunch bowls and it so fresh. The price point for all of their meals is so affordable. A++ The ladies working here are so nice it was 95° today and she gave me this free drink. So kind-hearted

My go to place for bibim naengmyun - mix of noodles with spicy sauce in a refreshing cold broth. The service is friendly and prompt. They sometimes have a buy 1 get 50% off on certain menu items. The dumplings are good either fried or steamed. I usually dip in the tteokbokki sauce but they give you a soy sauce mix on the side. The tteokbokki is sweet and spicy and you can opt to add ramen or other toppings. The spicy squid is also a favorite! The various soups are also good (udon, tofu soup, etc).

Super yummy food! Got to try the cold noodle! Exceptionally good! Teriyaki chicken special is my fam bam all time favorite! Come support this join!

The services are so nice in Korean, explanation was kind and understandable. The food looks nice and salivated as well:)

음식 비주얼도 말 안되게 이쁘고, 맛도 말 안되게 이쁩니다. 꼭 오세요. 매너도 좋고 한국 분식집 답게 한국분식 느낌이 엄청납니다. 꼭오세요 추천합니다.

Tangsuyuk - sweet and sour pork

I was really craving sweet and sour pork (tangsooyuk), so I gave this place a shot. Big mistake. The meat had zero flavor and absolutely no crispiness--even though I picked it up fresh, it was already soggy. I should've just gone to Panda Express. Definitely not coming back for this dish.

Jungjungmyeon - delicious and good portion

Love this place. Came here for lunch and was greeted with very friendly staff. The food was great. We had the black bean noodles, dongkatsu, teriyaki and beef bowl, and other dishes. Everything was delicious. Portions were generous and they even brought out extra salad and soup for us. Very upbeat place with nice decor. Nice place, great food, but what stood out for me was the friendly and helpful service!

Are you guys planning to sell kimbap through Ubereats?

We no longer sell kimbap anymore, sorry about that.

    Do they cook with MSG?

Not that I've seen them add it, but it could be in their sauces or marinades. I've been coming here since it was E-teliyaki and am sensitive to high doses of MSG. I have never felt odd after eating here, except when I eat a load of chili / spicy…

Can they make the jjangmyeon without pork?

No, they make their sauce in a large batch

Maxwell does not disappoint --- their garlic ginger sauce is reall good. The rice is also pretty good, just the right amount of chicken flavor without being too salty. I've also tried the fried chicken, and the skin is super crispy and delicious. Pretty unexpected to find good fried chicken at a Hainan chicken place, but it's a nice surprise. You can add a piece of fried chicken to the Hainan chicken plate, which is what I'd recommend. Looks like a lot of people get takeout from here. There are only two tables inside with a few tables outside. Service is friendly and fairly quick. This is definitely my go-to place for Hainan chicken, and I will be back!

I walked in thinking, "Cute little hawker‑style fusion place," and walked out spiritually "chicken" changed, slightly sweaty, and clutching my leftovers like they were family heirlooms. The staff hits you with that fast‑casual efficiency like their speed‑running hospitality. They take your order, smile, and suddenly food appears so quickly you start checking your surroundings like, "Did I black out? Did I time travel?" They're friendly, but also have that vibe of "We know you're about to lose your mind over this chicken." This place is clean, simple, casual, the kind of place where you can comfortably eat like a panda bear and no one judges you. It's tucked in a strip mall, but honestly? That just adds to the love of trying new spots. It's tradition in my book! This is where the chaos begins. * Hainan Chicken Rice, so delicious and soft, silky chicken that tastes like it was raised on affirmations and spa treatments. The rice is so fragrant it should have its own cologne. The sauces? Boy-o-boy they don't just complement the dish, they unlock it like DLC. * Fried Chicken, so crunchy enough to be legally classified as a percussion instrument. Juicy enough to make you question whether you've ever truly lived. Every bite is like a roundhouse kick from a crispy angel. * Pork Bowl, this bowl pulled me aside mid‑meal and said, "You good?" because the flavor hit so hard I had to sit with myself. Savory, saucy, comforting, like a weighted blanket but edible. * Garlic Noodles, absolutely wow, these noodles are dangerous. They're buttery, garlicky, and so slurpable you'll accidentally audition for a noodle‑eating ASMR channel. I swear they whispered "come back soon" as I finished them. Maxwell Chicken Rice is the strip‑mall legend you didn't know you needed. The service is fast, the dining room is clean, and the food is so good it feels illegal. If you don't get the Hainan chicken and the fried chicken, that's a personal failure. If you don't get the garlic noodles, that's a moral failure. "Enjoying life one bite at a time! " Miguel C.

We ended up getting Mango Grahams, Pancit, Siomai and Popcorn Chicken. Before we placed the order, it was communicated clearly from the staff that there would be a wait (there were 3 parties ahead of us, and one of them was huge, so we kinda expected a wait anyways.) We also weren't in a rush and were willing to wait regardless, so that didn't really bother us. The Mango Grahams were exactly and more than we expected; definitely satiated my cravings. The food was also good and arrived in a reasonable manner. Again, we only wanted to check this place out because of the Mango Grahams, but we were surprised at how many other options they had for desserts, appetizers, food, and drinks. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I wouldn't mind the distance knowing the quality and options they have. Also, I briefly looked into this place before driving here, and I was expecting like a quick "boba store" environment, but it also has a sit down ambiance. Great for quick hang outs with friends or sit down meals with your family. Also, I'm specifically writing this review because of the staff. Given how busy they were, I want to recognize how friendly and welcoming they were. There were lots of orders, but they came out in an understandable amount of time, and the person in the front always had a smile of her face. She always communicated clearly and warmly about the waits, and was very accommodating to the customers. I can't wait to go back for more Mango Grahams (and also check out their other menu items!)

Pineapple Fried Rice- Flavorful rice and the contrast of the pineapple pieces was bright and refreshing. They gave us a generous portion. Longanisa- This was served silog style with garlic rice and fried egg. Longanisa was sweet and meaty and paired well with rhe rice and egg. A breakfast classic you can eat any time of the day. Lumpia- This is always a favorite. Fried to perfection so you get a crisp exterior and a juicy interior. Paired well with sweet chili dipping sauce. Good experience but service could be improved.

We placed our orders: *Thai Tea, no boba - apparently our server didn't put in the order, never checked on us, and therefore never arrived. *Vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and egg roll - Huge bowl of vermicelli with salad underneath, pork on top and a piping hot cha gio. The pork was so dry it was more like pork jerky, but not in a good way. It was very difficult to chew. No one ever checked on us, so we didn't have an opportunity to tell our server the meat had been overcooked to the point of inedible. That egg roll sure was good, though! *Pork and shrimp Spring roll - not bad at all, but there was precious little pork or shrimp inside. Mostly the cool vermicelli noodles. The peanut sauce was unlike any I've ever had at a Vietnamese place. It was a gloppy sauce with a tiny bit of crushed peanuts added. Usually it's like Thai satay sauce but this wasn't even close. Fortunately they had sriracha and hoisin sauce on the table. Tried to ask for check, but again, no one was paying any attention to us so I had to get up and ask for it. Remember, we were the *only* people eating at the time. We never felt like anyone cared that we were there or if we ever came back. No worries. There's lots of other good Asian choices in the area.
