I usually wouldn't post a review for any place, especially a restaurant because the service industry sucks and I don't want to make anyone's life harder... but I made an account specifically so I could write a review for this place. I ordered pad Thai for myself and a friend and had it delivered to our apartment, it was expensive but I was willing to pay it because I'd been there once before a couple years ago and remembered it being good. It was a huge mistake. The smell was horrendous, but I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyways, and immediately gagged on the first bite. The noodles were tasteless and soggy, the chicken covered in gristle and felt like rubber. My friend and I both had to throw all of it away, there was no way we could eat it. The meals were also supposed to come with rice and flour tortillas... neither of which we received. I'm upset because I spent so much money on the food only to have to throw it away... I usually suck it up and just eat the food but it was so bad I couldn't even do that. 0/10 DO NOT recommend read more

Ok, I'm just gonna say it. If I wanted to figure out the best combination of possible entree ingredients, I'd just do it at home, so I must not be Bd's target demographic. Aside from the process of selecting your raw ingredients and watching the cooks fry it (maybe a little fun the first time, a pain in the butt thereafter) you'll be entertained by screaming children and frazzled waitstaff in a restaurant so packed to the gills that it would be uncomfortable even if folks were not constantly walking around picking out food. Basically the decor is Modern Chaos. Now granted, I'm sure part of the issue is that I'm apparently a terrible cook even when not doing the actual cooking, but the ingredient quality is pretty meh too, and that has nothing to do with my flavor combo-ing limitations. It is one of the few places I can say I've never actually enjoyed any part of my meal, not even desssert. If you want to actually have a conversation with the people at your table, just skip it. If you do go, give those saints that wait on you a big tip. That has got to be the worst restaurant job in town. read more

Really cool place, with a neat concept. Collecting your raw meat & veggies in a bowl, and your sauce, then having the cooks prepare it "stir fry" style on a giant round grill is a neat way to get your food cooked. And its pretty good too. The food was good and I liked the sauce options. My only problem would have to be the fact that we seriously got tricked into ordering an appetizer or side of rice. She just asked which one we wanted. Also it turned out to not even be that good. So it was a disappointment to see it on our bill. If you have ever been to genghis grill it feels like a rip off of that. (Exact same set up and similar font on all the signs). Also what's the deal with tipping when you see your waitress once and are served by two others most of the meal. I would definitely go back for the food though. read more

bd's is the Golden Corral of Mongolian food. If you like Golden Corral, great...you're in for a treat. If not, find somewhere else to eat. The service was really bad on the night we went. Not malicious or rude, the poor guy was just in over his head. They may need to hire more waitstaff. The selection of food looked like it would be okay if they had been on top of keeping it stocked. Many of the selections were empty when I went through the line. The actual cooked food was also just okay. Some bites were cooked just fine and others felt undercooked in my mouth. You can create your own meal, how could you go wrong? I thought it was fun to create my own melody of flavors. You can choose what vegetables, meat, sauces and spices you want. Always a must to stop here when I'm in Lexington! This is probably my favorite ever restaurant, the servers and hosts are very friendly as are the cooks. One thing that made me absolutely fall in love is the fact that they have an allergy station so your bowl can be cooked separately from potential allergens. I'm allergic to shellfish and peanuts so this is literally a life saver and it gives me peace of mind that I won't be accidentally eating something contaminated. read more

BDs is a fun dining experience. You get a bowl and go and pick out everything for your own Mongolian stir fry basically. They have so many fresh options of everything from meat to vegetables, sauces & seasonings, and noodles. It's cool that you can design your own flavor combinations but there are also posted sauce recipes if you aren't sure of how to accomplish what you want. You have the option to make one bowl or go unlimited. There are soups and salad also but we never manage to do that part. Love this place, didn't know about it until earlier this year and now I make very frequent trips! Good price and amazing food.

I usually have a good experience here and the food is usually good, but today, for some reason, they were not up to Par. Our waiter seem like he was in a rush every time he came to our table and over all did not have good table side manner. I put baby corn in my stir fry and when I tasted it, it tasted rancid. When I tried to tell our waiter, he was very nonchalant about it, said, "we will take care of it" and was basically done with the conversation. Very disappointed with this visit. And if you're not sure what would go well together or just don't know what you'd like to make? Never fear, there is a wall full of recipe cards to help you. I've eaten here dozens of times over the years, and almost all my dining experiences here have been positive. The wait staff are on the ball, and when it comes to creating your own bowl, the food really is what you make it. The ingredients are always fresh, the choices are plentiful, and the grillers are there to serve you. If you want your food cooked a certain way, tell them. (I can't vouche for all the grill masters, obviously. But when I stop in for dinner, Jeff is usually on the grill and he is fantastic.) Definitely worth a try if you're around Lexington. read more

I feel insulted. I was alone on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to eat here. The person at the entry counter seated me. I understood that the place was busy, but after about 5 minutes no one had come to take my drink order. I waited some more while noting groups that came in after me were waited on. The lone woman who was seated immediately before me was waited on. I continued to wait. Not a waitress in sight. I was there at the table for at least twelve minutes and not waited on. We went on Sunday at 2:15 on Oct 2nd. We had no wait to be seated which was good but they sat us right in front when I asked for the TV to be changed I got some excuse which was fine. I then asked to change to a booth. When move the booqqpth was nasty and sticky next to it the table was not bussed. The women's bathroom was nasty ans it took ten minutes with no server. It's a franchise, but other than that it's quite great. Why the menus when everyone goes straight to the buffet? As I pretended to scope the menu, my eyes made the way to the buffet and then my steps soon followed. Apparently, you're supposed to start with the veggies, which was the opposite of what I did. I started with the meat, which included a plethora of seafood and then I topped it with the veggies. The veggies sort of toppled over, which is the reason I was told that they should be at the bottom. I made my way to the grill. About ten people stood around waiting on the many chefs to whip up their choosings too. After the chefs were done, mine was the smallest helping, next time I know the secret though. When we sat back down the waitress asked us if we wanted tortillas (which are free). I wanted to keep it healthy and opted not to have the extra carbs. Then, an experienced patron ordered lettuce wraps (which were also free) I highly enjoyed and recommend the lettuce wrap option. One person in our party asked the waitress for a salad plate but wasn't sure if it was an up charge until she got her check and it wasn't extra. I was thinking, that if it wasn't extra the waitress should've offered it to everyone. And so it seems that there's a few hidden secrets about this gem. read more

That is your job and ignored by the bar staff where we needed to pick up our order at. My husband & I took my son and his girlfriend to dinner tonight to celebrate his Birthday. This is his favorite place. We arrived before the kids did, and were very happy to see Jackie, a Server there, whom we got to know a few years ago at a different restaurant. We requested that the Host seat us in her section, which he did. Everything is different now, thanks to COVID. You can no longer fill your own bowls, salad bar is not available, and you can no longer watch your food being cooked on the grill, which was always entertaining. They have a person at the meats section, veggies, and sauces& spices. They walk through with you behind plexiglass, and fill your bowl with ingredients of your choice. The salad& soup are brought to your table. Jackie made sure we had drink refills, and everything that we wanted with dinner. It drives me nuts when a restaurant charges high price for shrimp dish and you get the worst quality, none of shrimp was deveined. I love to stop in at lunch when I have limited time to eat. The Buffett style bar to choose your proteins and vegetables make it very quick to build an amazing meal. The choices are always fresh and good quality. I usually can get in amd out in 30-45 minutes. The service is always amazing and the cost is just right.
