My favorite banh mi!! Amazing flavor and quality!! Kinda pricey .. but worth it! Around $5-6 each for a regular size (bigger than usual) banh mi. They have FRESH! baked bread. I saw!! Having make their own bread you can guess that it smells amazing inside. They are fast too! Seems like they don't have call ahead to order, you have to walk in and order in person. I've tried several banh mi places around ATL, but Be Banh Mi easily takes the top place for the best banh mi. I went on a Sunday afternoon and they were super busy so you know this place is legit (they had people calling in orders too!) The only down side is their menu is pretty limited compared to other places. I do like how you have the option to choose which type of bread you want your sandwich to be made - next time I'll have to try the baguette style bread! We got a pork sandwich and the chicken sandwich - I prefer the chicken one more (both were good but the pork had a lemongrass after taste which I didn't like). Portion sizes are worth the price but if you are really hungry, you can get a 12" sandwich (whaaat). The bread was probably the best bread I had by far - I'm not sure if they make it in house or if they get it somewhere else, but it was sooo good and I would return just for the bread. They are generous with the veggies too! Next time I'll have to ask them to put the veggies on the side because it made the sandwich a little soggy on the ride home. Be Banh Mi is the new kid on the block. It is the latest banh mi store to hit up the most cultural Street in Atlanta - Buford Highway from Chamblee to Doraville. I love me some banh mi but haven't found a good banh mi place that has a good veggie option. Most of them are bland and the tofu isn't flavorful. I gave in and decided to give them a try since the hype is real. No lie. Plus I wanted to see the size of the "stick." Because I hate crowds, I decide to go in early around 10:30 am. They are open at 9 am. There was another group before me, dining in, waiting for order. I ordered a skinny and regular tofu banh mi to go. I waited around ten minutes or so. When I got home, I took a bite of the skinny and was impressed with the flavors, it's not dry. I gotta open up with the fact that I am not a Banh Mi person. I've had a lot of bet experiences with these kind of sandwiches in the past usually because the bread is done very badly and I ended up with bleeding gums or covered in crumbs. Anyhow, a friend told me to stop by and try this place out and I was originally reluctant to try it but when I came I got to meet the owner and hear the full story about this spot (gafoodies.com for full story). Long story short, they have put a lot of time just in perfecting the bread at this place and making a Banh Mi Bun that was very crispy on the outside but also very soft and chewy on the inside. I gotta say they were not kidding, the bread used in these sandwiches was so good that I found myself coming here a lot. There are 2 types of Banh Mi you can get, one is the standard and another is called the stick which resembles a small baguette. I personally like the stick the best because its not so filling. The first time I came here I tried both the stick and the standard and loved both of them. I believe I got the classic banh mi as well as the meatball version. Both were amazing, and I gotta say the bread is like 90% of the reason! I dont necessarily live close to this area but I still make the drive to come here as often as I can for lunch. New Banh Mi Sandwich shop opened in Doraville. They sell different variations in size of the Banh Mi bread which stands out from other banh mi shops. Skinny, regular and challenge versions. Skinny was a little more expensive than regular but I didn't get why. Skinny seemed long but actually very skinny and has less meat. Regardless of this small complaint, I did enjoy the sandwich. The quality of taste was on point. A little too strong on the cilantro taste but this is probably a personal preference (I had to take some out of the sandwich) Enjoyed the iced coffee. We ordered a couple Banh Mi to go yesterday with vegetables separate. Two classics and 1 grilled pork. When I opened up my Banh Mi to add my veggies in I found pieces of what is assumed to be from a metal scrubber or confetti. Either way it is NOT meant to be in the sandwich. Since Quoc Huong has been closed since March, I was surprised to hear of another banh mi place opening. Be is located in the same plaza as Tea House Formosa, close to El Rey. Plenty of parking, limited to only customers. Banh mi comes in two sizes for now. Stick and regular. Stick is reminiscent of how the west coast would do their banh mi. We opted for the classic Dac Biet and Thit Nuong, which is the grilled pork. They also have sugarcane and coffee for beverages. If dining in-house, they'll toast it. Banh mi was flaky and soft. Dac biet comes with pork floss, which I haven't seen in Atlanta as of yet. They were delicious! Def try their house sauces. 4 stars for 'I'm a Fan'. This place is full of absolute deliciousness. A little different from your 'traditional' Banh Mi spots. BE Banh mi is located in the same plaza as Tea House Formosa. From what I know, they are still brand new with lots of other menu items saying coming soon. I visit them on a Wednesday night and they were somewhat busy. I saw they have two current banh mi's size, regular and skinny. The skinny is similar to Jimmy John's "Little John". I ordered two skinny, one number 1 (Dac Biet) and one number 5 (xiu mai). Both was delicious! The dac biet have pork floss, which is unique since a lot of other banh mi's place don't add this to theirs. The sauce in the dac biet is also really good. I highly recommend! The xiu Mai was soft and flavorful. I also recommend this sandwich. To end, I also got a sugar cane drink. Yummy, sweet and refreshing. Overall, I'm definitely coming back to try other flavors and kinda want to see the other size, challenger, would be how big compared to the other two bread size. PS. The location is a bit secluded, but it is so worth it. We usually go to another Vietnamese place down the street, but we tried this place and it is the best bahn mi I have had especially the "stick". The stick is a bit smaller than the regular size, but the ratio of meat to bread is perfect. You also get every single topping within one bite. This place looks new. It is close to Taqueria del Rey del Sol off Buford Highway. I think they are still trying to figure out their flow, but it is kind of like a jimmy johns for banh mis. We tried the original #1 and it was really good. It was a little more expensive than other banh mis at other vietnamese fast food places, but easy to purchase and eat. We also tried their cafe sua dua which they call "iced coffee with milk" but I know it more as a vietnamese iced coffee which was great. It definitely hit my coffee cravings. I would come back and try some of their other sandwiches. They were actually pretty busy and had a lot of orders so it was good to know your order number when you make your purchase, because that's how they call out when the order is ready. read more

LEGIT AMAZING BANH MI with flavorful meats and the bread consistency is PERFECT. Had their combo and their grilled pork. They packaged it nicely for me and I loved that they asked if I wanted the veggies in a separate bag. I was on my way back home to Nashville so this was much appreciated to not let the sandwiches get too soggy. The meats are extremely tasty and they put just the right amount of butter in it. The BREAD. Omg. The bread. The bread is perfectly crispy on the outside and light on the inside and isn't too dough-y. This location has quickly became my "Popeyes on Ponce de Leon" for me. Anyone that was born and raised in Atlanta and has went to this location on Ponce knows what I'm saying. But for those that don't know, this Popeyes never had chicken on any given day that I, my family and friends went to it. They never warned you with a sign or when they greeted you. You only knew when you ordered and learned through the long process that they only had sides or chicken tenders and sides that day. I have been to this location twice. Once during 4pm on a Saturday where I was told that there were no more grilled pork for the day. So I got the glazed chicken. It was tasty, but I had my mouth tuned up for the grilled pork. So fast forward a month later and I went in at 1pm on a Monday. Once again they ran out of grilled pork and pork meatballs. I left with nothing. Cutest little sandwich place off Buford. They're open later and light up the shopping center next to Kung Fu tea. Banh Mi's are smaller than the "usual" banh mi and on different bread (more like French baguette). But flavors are good and I got to try the Classic one, which has most of the regular cold cuts, pate, butter, and lots of pickled veggies. Two of the tables also had drinks leftover from previous customers that did not get cleaned up for the 25 minutes I was there because everyone else was too focused to make orders at the front. It's not Quoc Huong but it's decent, they also have these mini banh mi's they call "stick banh mi" which my girlfriend likes. The flavor is good but they skimp out on the meat a little, $6 for a regular banh mi they should definitely be able to throw some more meat in there.
