The waiter then forgets our soup and brings our food over 4 separate and delayed times - took 45 minutes Food was lukewarm and had been sitting for a long time. Finally complained to manager. I miss SHIRO NINJA!!! After being rushed to order by a waiter , whom by memory took all of our orders down... there were a lot, I received my "wild mountain" roll that was anything but wild. I'm assuming a move to cut costs has led them to not give proper portions. Flash back to that same waiter, and he delivered my daughters order, which is always a Philadelphia roll (only one she has ever ordered) and it was clearly wrong. I said "this isn't what my daughter ordered" which he replied "yes it is, the Phoenix roll" so 2 "Phoenix rolls" were sent back, which made the waiter unhappy. Absolute Garbage! I've been visiting Be Wok for many years and I have to tell you, this place has gone down hill big time! I picked up a to-go order tonight that included 2 Tuna rolls, seaweed salad and and various other things. When I opened the box of rolls, I was completely dumbfounded. The Tuna rolls had such paper thin strips (of what I think was fish) that I could literally see through it. I showed my wife and I could see her face through the piece of fish. Now, we all know companies blame the supply chain issues, yadda, yadda, but come on, this was a joke. To add insult to injury, they raised their prices significantly. That's my first time in the area and I thought to check this place out cause I love good sushi. Me and my boyfriend made an order pick up, we called them 8 minutes before they closed (9pm weekday) and ordered a lot of food, the food was ready pretty fast and was also tasty. They gave us a lot of Garlic Edamame, which was tasty. The large miso soup was tasty and really big! And the sushi..... the Sushi was YUMM! was fresh and really delicious. Thank you! Amazing food and great variety! Sushi is wonderful and up in the sierras it's impossible to find good Japanese or Chinese food but they're excellent! You may have to wait a bit on a busy night but it's worth it. They dining room is large and well kept. read more

When you get a salad you are assuming everything will be chopped up & tossed together (generally) but the salad came on a plate with whole pieces of iceberg lettuce & fried chicken cut in strips and nothing else, WTH? Just was so not good, don't order that! I reluctantly ordered sushi. Why reluctantly? When a place doesn't specialize in just sushi I'm leery of the freshness of the fish! However I ordered the Hawaiian Roll & was pleasantly surprised. Tasted fresh, no fishy odor what so ever, and the flavor was great. I have never had a bad experience until last night. I picked up 3 items to go. The deep fried squid was overcooked and was impossible to chew. The Chicken chow mein had almost no chicken and the noodles were overcooked, starchy, and black like it was bathed in soy sauce. Probably 5 or 6 very small (dime size) pieces of chicken. The fried egg rolls were perfect, but 2 bad dishes out of 3 is unacceptable. I have, always gone there because of the quality of the food. I am very disappointed in them. Was ok. Sonora doesn't have many choices when it comes to any ethnic food. But does have a few yummy Mexican joints. This place has sushi and Chinese food. My friend said their sushi is delicious. Yes thats because he drowns it in soy sauce for flavor. A few of the rolls were tasty, but most of them weren't all that great. Went and got take out of 3 rolls and wontons and it took 20 minutes which was expected , got home with our order, the cream cheese wontons were barely warm, one of our sushi rolls was wrong, the extra stuff paid for on another roll wasn't given . Was asked to come back and give back the wrong roll as well when it had been opened and touched ,and I did return it and they still messed up the replacement roll . Was supposed to originally be tempora shrimp no avocado and was salmon and got home with the right roll only to find avocado and the fish roe paid extra for another roll which is darker red sometimes with green roe too, I was given masago, not very pleased with the service and had to come back only for it messed up again :/ read more

Probably one of the worst Chinese food meals I've ever had. Chicken fried rice only had rice and chicken, never had fried rice that had zero vegetables before. Hunan beef had zero spice, thought hunan was supposed to be spicy. Pretty sure the veggie egg rolls had only cabbage inside. Cashew shrimp had very minimal flavor. General chicken was mediocre. The chowmein and fried rice are TASTELESS. I don't know if it's the chef or their recipe but I wish it could be updated. My family warned me not to go to this restaurant for that issue but I wanted to try for myself. Everyone with me disliked both. The fried rice doesn't even look like it's been fried - it's literally white rice with a couple things mixed in. The soup and egg rolls were good but sadly we won't be eating here again and so far haven't found one good Chinese restaurant in this area. Also the service was poor and the few questions we asked went unanswered / the waiter just didn't care. Never been one to leave a yelp review, but we had lunch at Be Wok today and planned on leaving cash for a tip. After we signed the receipt the waitress came back and questioned why we didn't put a tip on there. We explained to her we were planning on leaving cash and she continued to question us. The interaction really rubbed us the wrong way so we decided to not leave a tip at all. She proceeded to follow us out of the restaurant questioning why we didn't leave a tip so we explained to her that her continuously questioning us on the tip was disrespectful and rude and ultimately led to us not leaving one at all. Keep in mind we have never not left a tip at a restaurant even if the service wasn't good. read more
