Favorite thing about swimming is the food you eat while swimming. We love ordering from beach bar and grill. Ordered: classic burger with all the vegetables and add bacon. FOOD AND DRINK I love the Mandalay Beach Club. I swam there twice in April after Easter. On my second day I came to Beach Bar & Grill for food and drink. When I go to a bar at a swimming pool I usually order drinks, but not food. I had a light breakfast that day and I was hungry for lunch. The drink I order was the Cucumber Cooler. I ordered a 32 ounce for this cocktail. Even though I paid a lot for this cocktail I enjoyed the cool, soothing beverage after swimming. The food I order was chicken tenders and fries. For the price I paid this dish wasn't worth it as I've had better chicken tenders and fries. During my two nights at Mandalay Bay I enjoyed going to different eateries, but Beach Bar & Grill wasn't one of them. Do I see myself coming back here to Beach Bar & Grill again? I don't know but if I do I'll order drinks but look more closely at the food items on the menu. read more

This is the third time that we have been here at Mandalay Bay for a conference. We actually never stepped into the beach area until today. This is where we discovered this cute little place. The seatings are outdoors but all in the shade. The service was great. The food was good too. Definitely met our needs and exceeded our expectations. Price was reasonable. This is about what you would expect from a pool side restaurant. Inflated prices (deal with it) and a general offering of food, which includes salads, chicken nuggets and a double cheeseburger. I went for the double cheeseburger, which was filling, it was definitely pink in the middle, which was a little concerning considering some reviewers commented about getting food poisoning from the burger. Eh, I threw caution to the wind, the burger spoke to me on the menu. My wife had a salad which was fairly generic but seemed to hit the spot. She also had the Pina Colada, which, she said taste like a cheap liquor store version from a can (CLUB circa the 80's). I suggest you stick with beer, my Coor Light taste just fine. This restaurant will suffice if you are hungry or thirsty, but it's nothing special. Service from James was good, as was the friendly demeanor of the host. The chicken taquitos were not as good, they did not seem homemade and were small. I liked the cocktail, but it was tiny. If you are ever at "The Beach", the popular swim area at Mandalay Bay, you will see the adjacent Beach Bar and Grill. It is definitely in a very convenient location and you do not need to go far, if you need a bite or some hydration. There is a spacious open and covered seating area. Many customers buy the food and take it back to their lounge chairs on The Beach. That is the way to go. The menu is limited, but pricey, as expected. A small pink lemonade was $7 and garlic Parmesan fries were $9. If only the food tasted better.....it would make it easier to swallow the inflated cost of puchased food and drinks. read more

The Beach Bar and Grill in the Mandalay Bay pool area is a great spot to pick up a bite to eat during your day. Especially if you don't want to make the long walk back to any of the food spots in the hotel. But like anything in Vegas, you are going to spend some money here. They serve breakfast items if you get there early as well as regular lunch. My wife and I arrived at 9am to secure our lounge chairs, so we didn't have time to get breakfast. There are 2 sections of the Beach Bar and Grill, one is a sit down dinning and the other is a "to go" style window. We were seated and our waiter James was fantastic. He took our order and checked on us regularly for drink refills. I ordered the "Fully loaded Breakfast Sandwich". This was a regular hamburger bun with bacon, egg, sausage and cheese. It was good, but small. It also came with in a small hand scoop of fries. My wife ordered the country breakfast bowl. I wish I had ordered the same. You got a big bowl of scrambled eggs, cheese, potatoes...topped with sausage, biscuits and smothered in country gravy. After our swim we got some ice cream from the "to go" side. Convenient spot to grab snacks near the Mandalay & Delano pool areas. It wasn't busy when we stopped in for lunch a couple of times, and the breakfast menu just finished at 10:30am. Everyone enjoyed their eats: BLT sammich, sliders, buffalo chicken wrap, chicken tenders, and Cobb salad w/ request making it into a wrap (+ upcharge). I wanted a lighter bite and got the tofu Thai wrap with fries (+ upcharge), which hit the spot. The plate comes with a good amount of crispy fries to share. In hindsight, I probably would've been content with kettle chips since I saw them on someone else's plate and crunched on a few. Service was friendly and prompt. Water glasses arrived within minutes followed by our waitress, Heather (congrats again on the baby bump), who quickly got our drink requests and made menu recommendations. Even though we forgot to bring our souvenir cups with us the second time, she remembered us and charged refill cocktail prices while I retrieved our sippers from the hotel room. Plates looked great and everyone checked on us often for drink refills. Depending on where your seated, you'll get a decent view of the pool scene, the performance stage, or whatever sporty thing might be playing at the bar flatscreens. The servers wear bikinis in red that make them look like lifeguards. it's cute we had the chicken panini that was supposed to come with sun-dried tomatoes and it didn't have it in the sandwich, so that made me disappointed. I also had the shrimp Caesar salad. Clara said the shrimp were grilled and they came out like after you boil shrimp. I normally enjoy this place, but today was terrible. Our server had no idea what was in some menu items which doesn't help when you have a food allergy. We ordered a grilled buffalo chicken wrap and when it got to our table it was fried. Looking around our waitress Kelsey was no where to be seen. The fries were cold as well. Hungry we started to eat and take the breading off. Kelsey finally shows up about 15-20 minutes after our food arrived. I explained the problem and she asked to get us something else, which was nice, but we were already through the meal. I declined and very rudely she then said "well I could get you something you like" I just asked for the check. Upon her returning with the check she circled the order and let us know that she did in fact put the order in right and it was the kitchens fault not hers. I've been a server before and I do understand it can be stressful at times and sometimes orders do get messed up, but her attitude and the way she went about it was completely unnecessary. Typical bar poolside at Mandalay Bay pool. You can get all your favorites here like chicken fingers, French fries, burgers, wings, etc. we enjoyed everything we ordered. The only thing that really turned us off was that the drinks were $25 per drink for a small. We've paid less for drink elsewhere that were much fancier than a poolside bar. This place is conveniently located right next to the pool at Mandalay Bay. It has a pretty great lunch menu for a poolside grill. I only ordered the chicken caeser salad which was spot on for a light pool snack. If you're staying at the resort for a long period of time, I would recommend investing in the Souvenir cup for all your beverages. It costs a little more than a regular adult beverage, but you get twice as much drink and you get a discount for all follow on drinks. Like I said, only a good investment if you plan on having a good time by the pool of you know what I mean. read more

We were pool/beach side and service was easy and great. We had food and drinks brought to us and the we never waited more than 5 minutes for a beverage refill. Considering how busy it was, we were very pleased. Food was average, and prices were.. (well, I guess you can figure that out. We were pool side so nothing is really cheap .)
