First time eating here. I'm staying at the Mandalay Bay Hotel so it was a convenient choice for breakfast. The service was not that great and that's okay, maybe our server was having an off day. I had the breakfast burrito which was actually not too bad considering that this is not a Mexican restaurant. The Cafe' Macchiato coffee was really good. Would I eat here again? Absolutely out of convenience. If I had more time and planned accordingly, I would have driven somewhere off the strip and tried a local business. Wow I actually really enjoyed the steak frites. Huge portion size for the price ($39). Really worth it imo especially since everything on the strip is so expensive already. In Las Vegas for a conference, which was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. They have an option to sit in the restaurant and another to order something to go. The line to dine in moved quickly and we were able to get a seat at the bar. Their menu consists of all day breakfast items as well as lunch and dinner items. I opted for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich meal. Came with bacon & cheese and i opted out of the veggies and their classic sauce. Asked for honey mustard on the side, and upgraded my fries to truffle. Hit the spot after a long night at EDC. Got back to Mandalay at around 4 am and were glad to see this place was open for some very late-night meals. Ordered a nice iced coffee and got myself some nachos, and the wife got herself a teriyaki bowl. Happy to see a place open this late, but the service was bad; they looked over it, and it was like they did not want to be there, which I get, but why work those late hours? Food was not bad, or maybe it was; we were drunk, so everything tasted good, but as soon as we sobered up a bit, we tasted the difference. Nachos lacked taste, and the teriyaki tasted a bit burned. Of course, when you're drunk and coming back from EDC, this was a magical meal. I did go back another day for their iced coffee, and the service was better and the wait time was less; we waited about 40 mins for our food that night, but the next time I went, I got my coffee right away. I know food is probably made fresh, but 40 minutes is wild even that late. Went to Citizens Kitchen for breakfast lastt weekend, had to go back that Sunday morning since it was packed the Friday and Saturday beforehand. For a breakfast place in walking distance, this was the best one we could find. The prices were comparable to the alternative restaurants at the nearby hotels. All the breakfast entrees looked like the ultimate breakfast and Chilaquiles, homestyle servings. Had a few of the different coffee drinks they prepared, each one was delicious, hit the spot. The server and host were polite and quick to help us as a decently large party. The place was about packed when we finally got in, but the wait was only 5-10 minutes compared to the 2 hour waits the days before. If you're looking for a standard breakfast outing on the southern side of the strip, Citizens is good to go. I'd have no problem eating there again in the future on another Vegas trip! read more

We enjoyed our breakfast here, before heading to the airport. The menu is large, and no doubt anyone with dietary restrictions (even self imposed) would find something to make do with. This seems like it might be the most not-crushingly expensive place to eat in Mandalay, but I'll tell ya, we probably would have eaten at the airport if we didn't have food credits from our room bookings. They don't take reservations, so be prepared that during events the line to be seated can be sort of long. There are 2 different areas, one being a sit down and the other being more of a take and go type of section. The kitchen moves pretty fast, so no worries on waiting a long time on your food! Fish and chips is probably one of the best that I've had in town and it's enough to share. We've been here several times prior to Aces games and have never had a bad meal. read more

As a place that does A LOT of breakfast at a hotel like Mandalay it is simply unacceptable that both egg dishes we ordered poorly executed the eggs. Eggs benedict (ordered without special instructions) - one egg was poached hard (no runny yolk) and the other was underdone where clear liquid egg white was visible. And the food was genuinely good. We had the BLT, Pasta Alfredo, Musubi Loco Bowl, and chicken noodle soup. Everyone at the table was happy. The BLT had so much bacon it was basically competing with the bread for square footage. The Musubi was tasty and came out well presented. The Alfredo was thick and creamy, not the watered-down version you sometimes get. Coffee is bad. Like, really bad. They do offer creamer though, so points there. Something about Mandalay Bay restaurants and coffee just doesn't work. Ambiance is a tough sell. Tables are close together and it opens right onto the casino floor, so it's loud. You're talking over each other and still catching what the next table is saying. Our table wobbled the whole meal and the place seemed short-staffed, but our server handled a heavy load without making it feel that way. 3.5 stars. Come for lunch. I went solo this round and sat at the bar for breakfast. I have to give a HUGE shout out to Elio the bartender. I was indecisive on the food and he gave me his recommendations. He was insanely kind. The place was busy but he kept ontop of it. Top notch dude! I got the bagel with lox. Yall..... it blew me away. I wasn't expecting much from the previous reviews but this has to be one of the best bagel with lox I've ever had. I got a plain bagel (usually offered with everything but I hate seeds). The bagel was not dry, lightly toasted, and delicious. For drinks I got the "not your 75" and "berry" something. The 75 says rose and lavender but I didn't taste much of that. It was still good. I ordered two. The berry one was very sweet, as expected. If you're a sweet person who likes a skewer of berries, this one's for you. Again... Elio you rock! read more

This place is rather overpriced, but convenient if you're staying on the south end of the strip. The menu is decently extensive. We liked the fish and chips, as they came with two large pieces of fish. The loco moco wasn't great, as I couldn't taste the garlic in the rice as described and they smothered the entire dish in heavy teriyaki sauce, which made everything unnecessarily sweet. One of my kids really enjoyed the pepperoni flatbread, which is normally only available on the to go side, but they will make it for dine-in if you ask. I wish they had a kids' menu, as I had to order a side of the mac n cheese. At $14, the portion was way too big for my kid to finish and the nacho cheese had a bit of a spicy aftertaste. Lastly, the ambiance was really loud from the football game, although it was kind of entertaining. Not sure that I'd come back, considering the higher pricing and the food just being okay. read more

We were there Sunday around 2pm. We ordered a Grilled chix BLT-Avo with fries. The food came out quick, hot and fresh and that bacon was fire . Nice place to grab a casual dinner for everyone. Place is spacious and they also have a order at the counter for to go orders. They have a big variety on their menu with a good selection. The menu has sandwiches, shareable appetizers, and platters like ribs and pasta. My family shared the chicken wings with sweet thai sauce and asked for it on the side. The wings were really crispy and came out hot too. I ordered the fish tacos and it was really tasty. The fish was nicely battered and came with good amount of toppings. The cilantro lime rice surprisingly impressed me by how much flavor it had and the fluffiness of it. Service is great and very patient with us. Our waiter checked in with us often and noticed my mom wasn't too pleased with her ribs so he offered to replace it with the loco moco. Much better option!! They have a grab and go counter but the menu looked good and after a wedding, dinner, and after party a full breakfast seemed like a good idea to soak up all the alcohol that was consumed. They are in the first floor of Mandalay Bay and open at 7 am when Vegas is calm and peaceful. Interior is huge with plenty of seating and staff is professional. Our server had a pleasant British accent and was courteous and polite. Breakfast Sandwich: over-hard eggs, ham, bacon, cheese, breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was so delicious, my wife and I didn't want to overeat so we split it but we really should have got our own. Potatoes were OK, some were hard and not cooked well so we didn't finish it. Breakfast: 2 eggs, pancakes, sausage, and potatoes for the kids. The enjoyed it, especially the pancakes and syrup. Had a bite of everything and it was decent normal breakfast quality. Well.. Should have read the Yelp reviews before eating here.. Watched a different YouTuber who praised this place and how yummy the chicken fried steak was... Got here around 840 am and there was a small line, waited about 10 mins which was not bad. Nice decor but man it is loud inside from people talking and for some reason they turned up the music after we sat down. Tried ordering the seasonal latte which was Mexican style coffee only to be told they don't have that anymore even though they have little pic display of it.. Ok fine.. Ordered caffe latte and dirty Chai latte. I ordered chicken fried steak, because I'm always in search of the best chicken fried steak. Initially I thought the price was not bad but then I realized my dish only came with chicken fried steak, gravy and potatoes.. Everything else is extra. Wifey ordered ultimate breakfast with pork sasauge, 2 eggs over medium, pancakes, and potatoes. To my surprise for the first time ever in a breakfast place, the food came out before our coffee. I have a pretty good feeling that kitchen must have pre-made food ready to be plated. My dish potatoes were luke warm and very dry which was annoying. Chicken fried steak was a pretty good size. Gravy was not too bad and chicken fried steak had ok seasoning. The ultimate breakfast combo presentation was nice but again pretty much everything on the dish was luke warm and some of the potatoes were cold. Latte finally came after we started eating... What a joke, 8 Oz cup and bottom half coffee and top half cold foam... Lattes itself was pretty good but not worth the money for 4 Oz. Server came by after delivering the lattes and asked if we needed anything... So i asked for some hot sauce. Hot sauce got dropped off and never saw him again until it was ready for check.. Never once came by asking if the food was good. Left cash for the check and I had a $100 bill on top of the bill.. Server walked by and looked at it and kept on walking by. I'm guessing he thought I was going to leave him a big fat tip and didn't bother asking if I was ready. Not to mention they never bothered clearing up the table before handing me the check. So he mad to squeeze in the check next to my tiny table.. The restaurant was going to be 3 stars until the service matched the food so it went down to 2. I just can't justify anybody coming here unless you want to pay over priced buffet style breakfast. We had breakfast at Citizens since we are staying in the hotel and there are not a lot of breakfast options in the hotel. There was a little bit of wait but was okay. I had Country Fried Steak while my partner had Ultimate Breakfast, along with coffee. I was told that my order didn't have egg and I would have to order it as an extra which I did. The food wasn't really impressive, the breakfast potatoes were overcooked and it was a little expensive for what it is. The service was alright - our server was diligent in refilling our coffee. The place wasn't too busy but also had a good amount of customers at the time for brunch/lunch. We were seated quickly. It seemed like it took a while for the waitress to come by. I'm not sure if it was the case but throughout the service, she seemed really distracted, almost popping by the table out of obligation but eager to leave each time. We placed our order and waited for our food for a little while. We got many items: spinach dip, Alfredo pasta, Cobb salad, breakfast sandwich, fish tacos. We ate at CITIZEN while staying at Mandalay Bay, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals. It was our first time there, and our server, Danny, was amazing. She explained the menu really well, answered all of our questions, and kept checking in on us throughout our meal. She was so friendly and made us feel really welcome. We started with the spinach dip, then got the BBQ ribs, street tacos, and the OG Burger. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came out hot. The ribs were super tender, and the burger was delicious. Checked into the Mandalay W around 10 pm on a Friday night. I was extremely starving. Subway's system was "down" so I kept exploring & thank god for Citizens! Citizens Kitchen & Bar inside Mandalay Bay, a great restaurant to go to if you're looking for some good quality late night food. We just got out of playing crazy golf at Swingers and we went to Citizens for a late dinner, since it was literally right there. It wasn't too packed so we were given a table right away, where we sat at a booth near the back of the restaurant. The waiter that we had (I didn't get his name) was so awesome and welcoming! He did tell us that they had ran out of salmon and ribs, which was ok for us because we were looking at other things on the menu. When we looked at the drink menu, we decided on just one more drink before going home. We both got the Berry Drop cocktail which had a salted rim to it. This drink was excellent and it was a great way to wrap up our night out. Along with these, we also chugged down the glasses of water we were given upon sitting down. For food, I ordered the Baja fish tacos and Kyle ordered the turkey avocado sandwich. The tacos came with a ball of rice on the side and the sandwich came with fries on the side. I credit these tacos for preventing me from becoming hungover the next morning, along with a giant lunch that I had earlier in the day. Kyle said that he enjoyed his sandwich and fries. I went to use the restroom while Kyle was handling the check, and when I came back, our waiter gave me a fist bump and thanked us for coming in and to come back soon.
