Was excited to come here with my wife we used to go to another dueling pianos bar in Long Beach but it closed down so decided to come here. Worst experience here service since the beginning was full of attitude. Once we got seated the server she was a rude B I never try to get bothered with servers but some are entitled A holes and she was one of them for sure. Looks like they catered to a group of there co workers with food and drinks right away. The ambience could have been better but I feel nobody that worked here actually wanted to work here. Had a lot of fun due to funny piano players, and a great lounge singer. We came 45 minutes early and we're sat in a corner table next to the server station with a wobbly table. They need to find somebody who knows how to seat properly. Got Tickets at the front booth and were told plenty of seats available. Hardly any reservations most people just walk up. And indeed throughout the show, the place was only about 3/4 full. You give the people who come early the better tables and then people will come later. A friend is getting married and decided to do a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party at Beach Boulevard club! This was the perfect little spot for a group trip. Arrived at ~8:45pm before heading in. Doors for the show open at 8pm while the show starts at 9. Once in, we were carded, wrist banded, and headed in. The ticket price only includes the entry, not drinks, but there is no minimum for drinks so that worked out perfectly. My favorite part was the beginning before the show started. I'm an avid lover of a vintage aesthetic so I was completely enthralled with the beautiful lounge singer singing renditions of familiar tunes. Drinks were beautifully priced from $6.50 (beer) - $12/13 for a cocktail. I opted for a glass of wine which was around 7 bucks! I live in LA, so i was mega impressed with a $40 we ended up spending on drinks. Totally fun and mixed crowd. Lots of birthdays and of course our party which was celebrating as well. Everyone had a fun time, submitting songs, dancing and singing in their seats and enjoying the show. All in all, a fun little night. I writing about the horrible experience we just received I prepurchased seats at the dueling piano show on 8/23 for my mother's 70th birthday surprise party. I get to the show to find out that the general manager Julio Duran had cancelled the show that evening to host a private party, which the staff wasn't even unaware of until that day. I booked my reservation over a week in advance. I was told by staff that the restaurant called to cancel. I checked voicemails and it came in at 3:16pm which is short notice to reschedule a surprise 70th birthday party. The staff informed me that the private party was booked since February. Why the hell did I get a same day cancellation??????? Why was I even allowed to prebooked for that night???? The poor staff was left to defend the piss poor management decisions that were made and they weren't even aware of the cancelled show till that day. Yet Julio was in Florida at a conference or visiting the headquarters so there was no management to speak to. They ruined my mom's birthday party and the whole thing was cancelled. In addition, they didn't automatically refund the money for the reservation. I had to request it. Do not go here till they can figure out how to manage. read more

Such a fun experience! The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. You enter the piano bar through an old armoire ... yes an actual piece of furniture. It's the secret entrance to the speakeasy. The venue is themed back in that era. It's a nice venue, very clean and well kept. It does share the premises with the Pirates dinner theatre show as well. Back to the Dualing Piano Bar! Once inside the piano bar you're sat at your designated table and then your waiter/waitress will bring a menu to your table. Our waitress Stacy was the perfect waitress and we had EXCELLENT service! All of the waiting staff was attentive and friendly. You meet some really fun people at this venue. Every age range and music genre is entertained. Our two fabulous dualing pianists Josh & Lisa were awesome and knew how to entertain and engage the crowd keeping it fun and lively. Like when Josh did the song "I like Big Butts" song yes he sang it and rocked it! lol The guests request songs and everyone is singing along and having a seriously great time. Trust me you will too. This was our first visit .... Our kids bought us tickets for Christmas. I frankly dont understand all the bad reviews. I went here for me and my sister's birthday and we had a great time. Like other reviewers said, I would eat before I get there. But aside from the $15 cover on Fridays and Saturdays, there is no minimum drink or food purchase required. The pianists are very talented. When one is playing piano, the other is playing the drums and vice-verse. David and his partner (forgot her name) know how to rock the house. My sister loves Shakira so I requested a Shakira song and Venmo'ed the female performer $15. I was worried that the tip wasn't enough or that the song choice was too random but she actually played the song! Which dispelled my suspicion that they only play a set list of songs. Well I had an opportunity to meet and speak with Sade our server who was absolutely fantastic, amazing, very attentive, and was an honer to meet and speak with her about the artistic world of DANCE. The food was honestly ok it's nothing extravagant. The drinks were amazing. Now as for the show to be honest I have to say it was OK. I didn't know what to expect it I have been in other dual shows where it was more intimate and more personal and very interactive. So for the amount of money spent for tickets and food really did not meet my expectations but that being said I really didn't see or view this as a battle I guess that's what I was expecting but I did leave early because it just did t meet my expectations. Great place to hit up with your favorite friends... Drinks and your favorite songs, what's not to love? Beach Boulevard Club (BBC for short) is on the same property as Pirates and occupies the venue that used to house Teatro Martini. BBC is a dueling piano bar/lounge that also offers some light eats. It is typically open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Door cover prices: Thursday - $5 Friday - $10 Saturday $15 Entrance fee does not include drinks, it's just a cover charge. Once inside, you will be seated at long dining room style table either with your party or alongside others. There's a 2 drink minimum per guest, but they are not a stickler on that as long as people in your party are ordering something. There are two pianists and they take song requests and if they don't think they have the chops or music on hand to sing the song, they will let you know. To request a song, you can go to their website or app and request the song and attach your tip online. Or you can write it on a slip of paper and drop that request off with a cash tip at the piano. If it's a busy night, get your song requests in early because their list fills up. I made a request via paper slip and they were going to sing it and forgot to incorporate it, so they refunded my tip at the end of the night, they are quite honorable about that. Of course, if you enjoy their performance, just tip your singers anyways! They can sing jazzy tunes, 60s, ballads, 80s bar anthems, 90s emo, singer songwriter, pretty much anything. They will even incorporate jokes and one liners into the songs, directed at and depending on the type of audience they have for the night. It's a fun place to be with a group of friends or just for date night. When I go back next time, it will be with a group of friends. First the piano players were fun, they made it so entertaining and comedic. Steven was hilarious, and they did a good job even at gangster rap on the piano. We had a great time singling along. My wife and I went there to have a good time, it was Valentine's Day. They are only getting 3 stars however because the service was not that great, it took a very long time to get our drinks to our table, one person waited like more than 20 to 30 min for a vodka tonic. We were ready to spend some money and buy some drinks but after two rounds our waitress never came back. At one point my spouse just went to the bar and ordered her own drink. The appetizers were basic but ok to munch on during the show. We spent almost 80 bucks on drinks and food but could have easily spent more if the wait wasn't so long. I don't blame the staff themselves, they simply didn't have enough help that night. On a big night like valentines management should bring on more staff. Service was not great. We asked for a food menu because everyone around us ordered food and we were told they were not giving them out. They then told us we could only order the sampler platter despite everyone else ordering items other than the platter. The table next to us let us borrow their menu and our serve let us order. When my friend confronted them about the situation the server didn't give a good reason beyond miscommunication but the server literally served the tables around us different items on the menu all throughout the night. Prices for drinks are also not posted anywhere. The pre-show performer was great but the dueling piano performance felt more like a shake down for money. Instead of them dueling each other, the pianists played random songs and made comments like "if you want me to stop playing it give us money." None of our songs were played despite use sending $5 - $10 tips. Looks like you have to play $40 per request to get it played (this was an hour in too). We spent over $160 that night on 4 people (this included the $40 reservation) and overall the night was a let down. Would not go back. read more

I was here for my birthday a couple weeks ago which was a great experience with the two female pianists. Every song we requested was played (even if it took a while to get through all the songs requested) and they did a great job entertaining our group and getting the whole room involved in the show. If they couldn't play a song, they asked the requester for a different one they could do. Only thing was the QR codes on the table didn't work and there were no prices so we were a little lost on that end. Because I had such a good time, I recommended it to a friend for her birthday this week. This was a completely different experience with terrible customer service with two men as the pianists. As soon as we got to the venue around 8:30, I requested a song for my friend's birthday tipping as much as I did the previous time. However after an hour and a half with the song still not being played, I requested again tipping the same amount and shouting out to the pianists to play our song in between numbers. However they still didn't play our song after 3 hours of waiting. We kept asking for our song, but one pianist replied "shouting out a song is not going to get it played. you've paid the least amount all night." Apparently we were supposed to pay $20+ for a song request we had paid for 3 hours earlier even though there is no minimum for requests. If there was a set price i would have definitely paid it. We stayed until the very end around 11pm (not by choice, the waiters could not figure out how to split our bill for over an hour) and by that time the pianists were literally asking for song requests because they were "out" and pretended not to hear us still requesting the same song. Terrible experience and terrible service. Extremely greedy behavior from these two pianists. If they couldn't play the song, then simply say so and ask for a different request (which is exactly what the two ladies did), and play songs in order that they were requested. I am sure the dueling piano show is amazing, but we wouldn't know because they cancelled the 9:00 PM show only a few hours before it was supposed to start. That just the beginning of how this night went. Friends of ours invited us to the show because they have not been to a dueling piano show before. We decide to join them. Instead of driving all the way home, we thought it would be best to rent room for the night so we could easily walk across the street back to our room after having a few drinks. About four o'clock my friends phone rings saying that they have only 20 tickets sold so they will have to cancel tonight's show. Not giving it a thought of what people have done to be there. Such as, my friend and I who had invested over $300 in rooms just so we could enjoy the show and not have to worry about driving home after a few drinks. It makes me laugh, they offered us a rain check. (like we would ever take a chance on this happening g again) We agreed and told them the tickets were $40 and the 2 rooms will be $180 each. Needless to say they wouldn't do that and then said they would refund our ticket purchase, it will only take 10 to 14 days to receive it. Sorry dueling piano players, that you have to be at the butt end of such a poorly managed company. I can say with no hesitation in my mind, I would not come back to this place if the ticket were given to me. To tell us we had 20 tickets sold and probably could have broke even on the night. To cancel a show with no regards to the people who are attending and what they gave up to be there. They don't deserve an our dime if they're not willing to invest their time. read more

This place is small but a good size at the same time and is the same building at Pirate's Adventure. There's a pretty lady with a great voice to warm up the audience before the piano music starts. Around 9pm the piano man named David came out and he was good, funny and held down the show because the other piano person named Katie was late due to being stuck in traffic. Once there between the both of them did great playing music and singing! The interaction was funny and sometimes naughty but still fun. They called out the birthday people as well. It was better than I expected. As for the food & drinks, meh you'll want to eat before going. They sell oval baskets (the kind for french fries) for all the appetizers. A sampler with 3 wings, 3 small jalapeno poppers, 3 cheese sticks & 3 meatballs the size of small marbles was 25.00! The fancy drink menu did not have prices on it so this is why its a 4 star. As a matter of fact isn't it against the law to not display menu prices even for drinks? Hmm. Would I go again? I think I would but not often. Maybe for a special occasion like a birthday. This was... something. Aside from the fact that it is connected to the Pirate Adventure show, which you accept, the vibe of this place is completely wrong. It is not a lounge type, speakeasy type experience. Just because they disguise the entrance door as a cabinet does not make it a speakeasy. We were sat down at a table with a QR code menu that led you to the main website, not to a menu website. The waiter we had was nice but when we asked what kind of gin they had for martini's he responded with "we have all of them, it's an open bar." I'm pretty sure he meant full bar, but right off the bat that was not a good sign. Overall the waiters didn't add to the experience. They were simply dressed in black and appeared very unkept. Poor decision on management to not have them upkeep their appearance and provide them with a uniform that would help push the vibe and come across clean. Was also very off putting to have staff that were clearly working the pirate adventure portion of the venue walk through in their full pirate-stylized uniform. I get the venue is shared but come on. That just made the whole experience even that much cheaper and poor. The layout of the place is strange. Long rows of tables scattered across the open floor do not leave any intimacy, except for the back row of small tables which we were fortunate enough to be sat at. Our drinks arrived and they were subpar. A very basically crafted martini and my old fashioned, after a bit of back and forth about their low stock of bourbon, was very watered down and without its grandeur. Another strike. It felt more like a bachelorette party taking place at an elk's lodge than a dueling piano/speakeasy/cocktail experience. The place definitely plays up to people who just don't know any better, and come to have fun without any behavior or manners. We will not be returning to this place ever again. I spent years producing special events and i consider myself very aware of the things that failing venues could benefit from, and this is one venue that needs a lot of TLC in order to make it a worth while experience. For Valentine's Day week we came here to have a good time. This is our 3rd time coming and never disappoint it. Just a suggestion maybe food could be a different menu in my opinion. We didn't eat here because we know is small plates, we wanted regular size. Service was really good and on point. Ambiance was very very nice and the entertainment was amazing. Knocking it down a star because the food and drinks were overpriced and terrible. I did not finish either of my drinks (specialty cocktail and a margarita) both were probably the worse drinks I've ever had. Ordered the calamarie which was chewy. Couldn't finish it and we stayed until the place closed. Hope they start investing in their food and up the drink quality. This placed has a lot of potential. Tip - Eat somewhere else before coming you'll be glad you did. Fortunately, the entertainment was wonderful! There was a singer (Marlyn Monroe vibe) performing before the dueling piano show. Only caught two songs but she was great! We had a fun crowd. There were several birthdays and people across the generations - more gen X and boomers followed by a few milennials (me) and probably less than a handful of gen z-ers. The pianist were great! They played a wide range of songs. Lots of 80s on the night I was there. They even rapped. Crowd was lively and many people started dancing too. I would go again for another show. Tip - bring cash or have venmo ready. They accept requests but as one of the pianists said this is all about capitalism. Song requests with the highest tips get played. The rest may get mashed up at the end if time allows. read more
