The food is amazing, the atmosphere is fantastic, and being right on the canal makes it even better. You can sit back, enjoy your meal, and watch the boats go by. With football season coming up, they have plenty of big-screen TVs, making it a great spot to grab some food, drinks, and watch the game. They're under new ownership since June 2025, and you can really feel the difference. The vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and fun. The bartender we had was amazing and made the experience even better! One thing I do want to mention: the McNab bridge construction is definitely hurting local businesses, but PLEASE don't let that stop you from coming! There's an easy way to get there. New owner, new menu, new karaoke host -- and Tara the bartender is back! The food was absolutely amazing. It was fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than we've ever had there before. The new owner, Nathan, was there in person working and checking on guests, which really shows how much he cares about the experience. Galen, the karaoke host, is not only extremely talented but also very professional. He made us feel like celebrities when we got up to sing. We had a party of 16, and Tara was incredible. Even with a completely full bar, she still managed to come to our table and serve us with a smile and great service. Went to hang out at the bar with 3 other friends. Right next to the canal and a friend was performing... not expecting much as far as food and boy was I surprised!! Our server was Tara (bartending) and she was awesome! I ordered the mussels reluctantly and was pleasantly surprised. Every one's food was really good. It was my first time visiting Brewfish, but won't be the last! Loved the feel/vibe and they have a mixed crowd. They opened at 4:00 p.m. and we got there a little under an hour later. It was only you one table with three people sitting at it outside. After walking around to check out the place, we decided to sit outside on the dock by the water. Even though it's overcast and usually had a light rain, we stay dry because Serge moved umbrellas into create a canopy for us. You can tell he's done this before. As we were there it got busier and we realized that Serge was the host, bartender, and server. Definitely understaffed for the night. I ordered the mahi-mahi and slaw tacos and chose roasted brussel sprouts as my side order. Both were wonderful, I especially liked the pineapple in the slaw. My friends state was perfectly medium well as she asked but unfortunately they were out of their chimichurri sauce. It was moist and well seasoned but she looked forward to the chimichurri flavor. Her mashed potatoes were dry but the broccoli was perfectly prepared. Serge only checked on us once because of how busy he got. I wound up going to the bar in order to pay because he was so busy. Absolutely the best spot!!! We were in town looking for an apartment for our son who will be playing baseball for UFTL, and just left our hotel. We yelped a close by restaurant and found Brewfish! It has a cute tiki bar outside area with a guy playing the steel drums - made it feel like you were on an island. The inside is being renovated due to new owners that took it over about 3 weeks ago. Our waitress Lisa was on point! My drink was never empty - and always checking on us. The owner Nathaniel came over and had a great conversation with us like he knew us forever. The food was just as amazing as the hospitality. We had a shrimp po boy with yummy fries and the Mahi tacos with sweet potato wedges. I had my 75th birthday party last night at Brewfish, where they have karaoke on Friday nights. I've had 2 previous parties over the past 2 years and they were great. Manager and staff very accommodating. Food is very good and reasonable. That was then. Apparently, which I didn't know, there was a change in management. My husband and I spoke to the manager about a month previous to talk about the party; that there would be (extra for them) 30-40 guests and we needed the back room near the bar. Manager was sketchy, wouldn't confirm, saying they usually charge a reserve fee for a room except on karaoke nights, which it was. Okaaaaaay, so 30-40 guests, eating and drinking bringing in extra $$$$$. Anyway, night of the party, my hubs and friend set up the tables, tablecloths, balloons, etc. and the manager comes and says no they need 2 tables for their "regulars" I was arriving later and find this out and was pissed. Then the (only) server for 43 people told my husband she was going to put everyone on 1 tab. HELL NO. All in all, we had a great time after all but will NEVER go back again. read more

This place is under new ownership and is excellent, six of us had dinner and drinks and everything was outstanding, there are two bars with great happy hour prices, there was live entertainment outside, and the one man band singer, guitar player was fun. We got tasty flatbread, delicious jerk wings, an incredible burger, the Philly cheesesteak was solid, sides were good too. I saw some mixed reviews for this spot and wasn't sure what the expect - we came on a Friday night with a group of 6. We were seated right away which was nice, but waited quite a bit until our orders were taken. Our server was really sweet and we could see the restaurant was understaffed, so no big deal there. The tables are quite wobbly so with 6 people it felt a little precarious. Food was really hit or miss. I got the lobster Mac and cheese - the biggest bowl of Mac and cheese I've ever seen in my life. Really tasty though! They didn't skimp on the lobster which was nice, and it was a really big portion. Other entrees within our party weren't as raved about. The branzino and grilled fish got good reviews, but the jerk chicken got less than great. Overall, staff was nice but food was below average. read more

I wanted to love this spot. After all, what is not to love- a casual, neighborhood bar on the canal offering up live music and the ability to sit at a Tiki Bar? Well those were all the things I did love. However the service and the food were just meh during my visit and there was a bad smell coming from the restroom hallway. We had the bang bang shrimp (good) and the mahi tacos (not so good- they tasted old and weren't hot). The fries fared a little better but I usually love bar food and this was not loveable. It was a Saturday afternoon and it felt like the place was just not staffed properly. The Tiki Bar was full of regulars and they were all commenting on it to anyone who would listen. The manager was running the bar and he got pulled in so many directions that drinks were left empty and food didn't get served while hot. We were served the food for the people next to us and who knows where our tacos went to before landing in front of us? And then when we asked for our bill, the bill wasn't ours. It was someone else's which was another wait to get the right bill straightened out by Chris, the manager, who apologized and made it right. All in all, while BrewFish has a lot going for it, until they can get properly staffed, it's going to be a challenge for them to function. Maybe I'll pop in again once season is over and business drops to a more manageable level for them to see if it makes a difference. Place is absolute garbage. If you want to hang out with elderly people this is where you need to go. I'm a local had a few drinks here and kicked my legs up on a table by the dock. Manager came out and said you can't do that because this table is reserved for later. Told him I have no problem leaving if this is an issue, he said no it's not an issue it's just this table is reserved. A lovely quick stop for good food, good music, good service, and good drinks. We sat at the bar and were fully taken care of my Taylor. She was attentive and fun to chat with. The prices were great in comparison to the quality of the food. We ordered bang bang shrimp, fries, mozzarella sticks, and mild buffalo wings... and whiskey ginger and a beer bucket. The bang bang shrimp were amazing (breading, seasoning, size/portion) and I would go back just to have those again before I leave Florida. We decided to sit outside and luckily it was nice outside because it was hot & uncomfortable inside. This place is a vibe - and that's why we came. It has an indoor bar area, a restaurant seating area, an outdoor bar and outdoor patio area. We were looking for an outdoor patio kinda vibe for drinks and dinner. We were surprised to find live music as well! There was a woman doing a one person show. She sang really well and included a variety of music. We had to try the conch balls as we saw them everywhere we went. They were tasty! Hubby got a pasta and really enjoyed it and I got the mahi mahi sandwich. I didn't love my fries so much but Hubby ate them so that could be a preference. Nice neighborhood pub/restaurant/waterfront bar. We went there for drinks and they currently have happy hour specials on drinks but not on food anymore. Daily from 4-7pm. Jack, the new manager said to us they will be having lunch specials coming up, but not ready yet. He is very engaging and tries to stop at every table to say hello and visit with the customers. Excellent customer service. Their frozen drinks are delicious and well made. Rum runner and piña coladas were enjoyed by our table. Sitting outside and enjoying the nice weather is a big plus. Brew Fish is an unadorned and unassuming restaurant. It's filled with regulars sitting around the outdoor bar, and locals in-the-know about their Wednesday 2 for $40 lobster special. Oh boy, we're lucky our friends are local and live right across the canal. It was such a beautiful sunny evening so the five of us sat outdoors and ordered happy hour beers from the waitress. She was chatty, fun and helpful. Then we found out she wasn't "our" waitress, and the replacement wasn't as chatty, fun and helpful. Too bad. Our Sautéed Clams and Grilled Octopus starters disappeared quickly. Both were pretty good! We came solely for the lobster special. With five of us, that means 10 lobsters, 2 to a plate. Unfortunately they did not all come to the table at the same time. Some were so late we couldn't do a courtesy wait and started on our lobsters before they got cold. The manager came out and apologized for the back-up in the kitchen. No complaints about the lobsters. They were fresh, tasty and rich. 10 lobsters gave their lives for our dinner but we didn't waste any! Maybe we will come back for another 10. read more

Clearly very popular with the as we got to the bar at 4:03 for Happy Hour that is daily from 4-7 and we obviously occupied some sought after real estate as folks who clearly walked around the bar looking for a seat. Went to this restaurant twice. The first time, loved the food. The second time, my dish was disappointing. I ordered the Caribbean turkey meatloaf and it was really moist, and yummy the first time. The second time, it was overcooked and the gravy wasn't very tasty. My party ordered an appetizer of calamari, which was very tender and delicious, not rubbery at all. The server was very attentive, and I probably should have mentioned something at the beginning, but my table mate ate some of my meatloaf, so there wasn't much left. When I mentioned it at the end, all she could say was that they were sorry and that she will mention it to the chef. My friend had asked for some extra garlic bread with his oyster dish, and without saying there would be an extra charge, the waitress added $3 to the bill. A big reason for going to this restaurant, is the atmosphere. There is a beautiful outside deck on the water and live entertainment with a singer and a guitar. Inside on Friday night, they have karaoke that I believe starts at 8pm. It is also a very happy and lively atmosphere. So I would definitely try to come here again, and hopefully I will enjoy my dish more the next time! read more

So on a good note this place is decorated cute on the outside, is right along a canal & has a nice vibe with entertaining steel drum music being played live. The service was unapologetically slow, beverages not refilled & requested condiments not brought to the table. The appetizer was forgotten about then rushed to be put in so our meals got held up and arrived cold. We didn't eat the calamari as it tasted very strange & didn't have the salt & pepper flavor as described on the menu. The shrimp tacos were bland. So disappointing the "new management" did not take the opportunity to fix the inherent problems: poor food quality and awful service. We were hopeful last weekend and gave Brewfish another try and got a stick in the eye. The omelette was oddly puffy as if microwaved and the ingredients questionable. The quac was not fresh, the cheese like velveeta and the bacon more like bacon bits out of a jar. The pancakes also seemed to be oddly thick and possibly nuked. All this and we only had to wait 40min. Maybe the new management needs to check out their competition Michaels, Moms and Nelsons. Its called market research. read more

We were trying to find a place where we could eat outside and wouldn't be crowded and this place fit the bill. Although most people weren't wearing masks, we found a table in a corner where we felt comfortable. The atmosphere is very casual and some seats have a water view. Our server arrived quickly and we both ordered a Yuengling draft, which is my "go to" beer. I don't know if the beer was flat or just a bad batch, but it just didn't taste right. The menu had a variety of options and I could have picked a few things. I decided on a half salad and the bbq ribs and fries. My salad was perfect. All ingredients were fresh and there were actually vegetables, not just a bag mix. Good choice ! The ribs were next and were perfect. Cooked perfectly, and with a great bbq sauce, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Even the fries were nice and hot and tasty.
