Decided to check out the restaurant with a friend, after this location has turned over 2 times in the past year (used to be a Brueggers, then Saladworks, now Beach-Hut Deli). Parking was a little scant, as it always is in that center. Ordered a Pastrami-Ham-Turkey-Jack sandwich, Medium. I'm not big for veggies on my sandwich, so maybe that's where I went wrong. 1 standard menu sandwich + drink was $13 and change for a Medium (8" or so of sandwich). Hostess was nice and accommodating, so nothing out of the ordinary there. Sat down at a booth that had a plasma screen TV in it and a surfboard for a table, and got my sandwich. Had a lot of meat in it (as it should for the price), served hot, and it was quick. Sandwich was a solid "meh". I love sandwiches, and I just can't rate this one in either direction--it was just....meh. The bread was the weak-link--it was standard fair, seemingly bought at Costco or Ralph's--overly dusted with flour, loaded with preservatives white sandwich roll. The meats were adequate and standard fair, so if I had to point the finger, the bread was the culprit of the mediocrity. Combined with the extremely exorbitant price of $13, I can't see this place lasting for long. The restaurant was nice, the staff was good, the beachy gimmick was endearing, but the prices they were charging just weren't justified. I have no qualms dropping $10+ on a sandwich if it's well-deserved, but this was simply lacking. read more

This place is so good. The people working there are always friendly (sadly, that's rare in service these days) and the food is amazing. It's an inch of meat alone on the sandwiches and tons of yummy toppings. The marley nachos are to die for!! Expensive for a sandwich, but worth the cost. I love me a good sandwich. So far, I have had the Surfin' Bird, which has turkey, avocado, bacon and cream cheese AND the Hobie, which has Italian dry salami, pastrami, provolone and Italian dressing. Both were incredibly delicious and filling. The Hobie has A Lot of meat... beware the size of sandwich you get. If you're a sports fan, you'll enjoy your own personal flat screen t.v. if you sit in one of the booths. Fun place to go with friends! read more

I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich. The menu said it came with peppers. I wrongly assumed they mean bell peppers. It was loaded with I believe banana peppers. The meat was microwaved to create a hot sandwich. Not good. The bread was toasted and tasted good. Medium sandwich was $12.10 after tax. Prices too high! Next time I want a sandwich I will go to either Al's Cafe or Sandwich Saloon nearby. Both have better sandwiches than those made here and cost just over $6. read more

I liked this place. Its has a surfer vibe and we all know bothers dont surf, well some. But the food was excellent. The customer service was super, super friendly. I also like the fact each sitting area has its on tv. I tried the pastrami sandwich. Not bad at all and for sure will make the trip here again. read more

Im giving this deli 5 stars solely based on how awesome their beer line up is. I think they have about 8 taps with all craft beer. Love it. Oh and they have a $1 beer happy hour from 2-3pm! Best Happy Hour ever! read more

We loved the surfboards for tables and frisbees for plates, but wished the big flat screen in our booth wasn't playing paid advertised TV garbage. I bet if we asked they would have changed it though. They even had a beer bar! read more

I came here after hearing a ton of hype and I ordered the shark bite. My roommate comes here once a week and gets that sandwich and it always looks and smells so good. Well I got incredibly sick from this particular sandwich. Such bad food poisoning that I can't even think about this sandwich without my stomach turning. On the plus side - great beers! Let's be honest and call a spade a spade. The quality of the food here is by far far below the price range they ask for... let's just say everything comes from a box you can buy from restaurant depot. The beer selection and having TVs is cool but do not order food atleast hot food as the quality of the beef and the fact they use microwaves to heat up the sandwiches and the bread just makes this a more expensive but yet more bland Subway. Go at your own risk unless you just want to buy a Bag of chips and drink a beer and watch sports low key. read more

Beach Hut has a great group of employees that are very friendly, provide great service and know how to make GREAT sandwiches! They keep a good selection of specialty beers on tap that draws in a great regular group of locals. Always a fun place to grab a beer or lunch. read more

Love Beach Hut Deli! Growing up in Sacramento, BHD was a regular spot and I was sad to have to let it go. Yes the sandwiches do cost more, however they are very large. I split a medium with a friend and it's plenty. Plus, you can wash it down with a reasonably priced beer. Score! read more

When I get a little home sick for food from nor cal, I used to think of one sandwich shop Beach Hut Deli. To my surprise it is now available in so cal. Try the nachos, any of the sandwiches, they all are good. Just a word of caution, all the items have cream cheese on them. If you don't care for cream cheese, just let them know. Went in here at 815 on Monday night to grab a sandwich to go. Prior to driving there, I checked to make sure they would still be open. Their hours are listed until 10pm. Upon arriving, the girl at the cash register said that they were closing and had put all the produce away so the only produce they could put on anything if I wanted something, would've been pickles. Okay so if hours are listed until 10pm...they should not be closing for no reason two whole hours early. I love to go here for a unique sandwich and a cold beer on tap. They have a really cool Hawaiian theme and it makes me feel like I'm on a mini lunch vacation. They have free wifi and their own radio station which always plays chill music like you're on an island. I really like the vibe here and especially the food. Everything I've ordered has been delicious. They are very creative with their sandwiches and I love all of the different sauces and ingredients they use. I probably visit here once a month and am always satisfied. Also, the portions are huge and I usually have left overs. read more

Beach Hut Deli is the new spot for me and my girl to go. Place is down the street and has great food. A little pricey, $8.00 for a small sandwich that are actually a decent size. There 2 for 1 beers on Tuesdays are awesome as well. Guy rocking the register is a pretty cool guy and knows how to recomend a good sandwich when you dont know what you want. TV's at every table if you are trying to catch a game on the tele! Patio lounge is very comfortable. Heat lamps everywhere if you get cold. Try the Santa Cruz, bomb Pastrami!!! A+ read more

I love sandwiches. My first time here was with my sis. I was very hungry and worried that the small sandwich I had ordered wouldn't be enough. It was huge! I have been back since and have had the most amazing sandwiches (hot and cold) each time. I am in love with this place. The atmosphere is great. The staff is young and energetic. They have good beers on tap and a huge sandwich selection. From their simple 'create your own' type sandwiches to their own creations with cream cheese... all their sandwiches are amazing. Of course, if you get something to go (depending on the sandwich) it might be a bit soggy because of the dressings. Seriously... overall, a great sandwich shop. I will say, this place is a bit more pricey than I would like but for the quality and service, it won't stop me from coming back. Awesome work Beach Hut Deli! So happy to be a regular here!
