This place was exactly meh. Pizza was meh. Sandwich was sub-meh. Salad was pretty pathetic. Pick up experience was lame too - they didn't update the takeout time through the app so when we walked in at the time the order confirmation said to come in, our food had been sitting there getting cold (certainly didn't do the food any favors, I'll tell ya that much). Store manager acted liked we were idiots for allowing the food get cold. Gave it a shot since it's local and we drive by it all the time, but it's hard to get excited (or even mildly interested) about ordering from here again. read more

Been a long time customer, that ended this evening. We order at least once every 2 weeks and live 10 minutes away from the store. Tonight, as usual, my Wife called and placed our typical order, we were quoted 45 minutes, this was at 5:30pm. At 7:00pm we called the store to find out where our order was. The young lady on the phone told us that we had setup the order as a "no contact" order and that the order was left at our front door. However, we NEVER set this up as a "no contact", we never do this, plus we paid for this on a credit card, who signed my name? The address that was quoted to us, which once again, is coming from their system based on our phone number, was wrong, it was only 4 digits when all 56 houses in our gated community are 5 digits. Clearly this was sent to the wrong address, but WE PAID FOR THIS USING OUR CREDIT CARD, and I'd like to know who signed for it? So, after becoming extremely frustrated with this young lady, who really didn't have a clue as to what was going on, I was transferred to the manager, Joe Hays (sp?). Joe was a completely rude and unprofessional and all he cared about was the fact that we were upset, and proceeded to lecture me about me being upset, rather than be worried that the order was messed up, charged to our card, and had been over 90 minutes with still no delivery. We used to love this store, but it has gone down hill, and the manager has no clue how to take care of long time customers. Goodbye! read more

Ordered a sampler appetizer platter.The hot wings were terrible, taste like frozen from grocery store, the mozzarella sticks had absolutely no flavor. The potatoe wedges were half cooked, the garlic knots where over cooked, greasy without any garlic flavor. The pepperoni slice was just ok. We've been tying to find a great pizza place since we came to LA and we finally found one here with Beach Pizza! It's has so much more the pizza on the menu but that's what we would recommend and definitely go for the extra crust! This is the worst pizza place.... not only did they not give me everything I paid for they thought it was ok to take almost an hour to give me only part of my order. The guy at the counter never informed me on the status of my order. People around me that ordered after us got their food. We ordered chicken wings and they gave it to the wrong customer. The people in the back were hugging and socializing instead of taking time to get the orders ready for the customers. This beach pizza is the bomb diggity! We use to live very close and ordered all the time from this location. We have yet moved and are closer to the manhattan location. I must say, we have ordered from both places multiple times, but the Westchester location is and has always been hands down, THE BEST!!!!! My favorite pizza ever! I love their food, but tonight they had the absolute worst, rudest customer service. My delivery came and the meatballs were not with the order. I called and the guy who answered said there is no order with my name on it there and it must have been the Manhattan Beach location. I told him it was impossible, they wouldn't deliver here but he was adamant so I spoke to Manhattan Beach and they confirmed they wouldn't delivered up to me. So I called westchester several times to be hung up on, put on an endless hold, all over meatballs. The food here is so good, the prices are a little hight but I get it's a small business and I think the food is worth price! The bathrooms are clean. The employees are so nice and there drinks are perfectly priced. There pasta is a little over cooked but there pizza is perfect. Why didn't I read the reviews before stopping here!! It started off ok. No one was there. You can sit anywhere. They even have a small patio and 2 big screen tvs,that are next to each other. It has a pub feeling to it. It's not for the little kids or any type of birthday party, unless you are an adult. It's like a hang out spot for the local LMU kids, I'm an LMU alumnus. Now on to the experience. My 7 year old and I was greeted by a young guy with blonde hair and said I could sit anywhere. Soon after we sat a waiter came and we got 2 pink lemonades. After looking at the menu, it had specialty pizza, like bbq chicken pizza, so that's what we ordered. Yes they had chicken fingers, mozarella sticks, wings and things. After about 25 minutes our pizza arrived finally and he set it on top of a stand. The pizza plate, metal plate, had a bend in it and wasn't flat or stable. So when I tried to get a slice the thin cut pizza fell on the table. The waiter saw this and did nothing. He decided to take the lady order next to me anf ignore me. After he finished with her I had to flag him down and tell him I was ready to leave. It took him an additional 8 minutes to bring a to go box. I had to pick the thin filled soagy pizza up from the table myself. I then had to go wait in line to pay. When I get to the front I tell the waiter that I didn't want that pizza. He lets me pay $24 cash and said oh ok. So I stand there and he walks away. I then ask him, so I paid you $24 for a pizza and I have nothing??. It was only then that he offers to replace the pizza. SERIOUSLY!!! I Then get to go sit somewhere else and wait for a pizza with a thicker crust. After 15 minutes of waiting this time he returns and just quickly drops off the pizza on the table and keeps walking. No apology, no words, no nothing. I havent had one bite of this pizza!!! Not the thin soagy one and not the replacement. I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. read more

I really wish I could tell you guys how the pizza was because I don't like to rate a restaurant without at least trying the food........but they didn't even serve me... I'm teaching my son how to swim across the street at Westchester pool, we're there every weekend. And every weekend we come out pretty hungry and his favorite food iiiiiiiis????????? That's right you guessed it, "PIZZA", and I googled the nearest pizza place and lucky me there was "BEACH PIZZA". I thought "GREAT, i found a place super close that we don't have to drive to and it will make him happy, def gonna be a regular every weekend" walked in and the place was empty just one guy eating pizza drinking beer enjoying the olympics, no one greeted us, no one seated us, therefore I assumed I had to walk up to the cashier, a dude there, walked up..didn't say a word to me he seemed busy so I see a girl walk out of the back she looks at me and looks away starts doing "Stuff"??? i don't kow i thought maybe they have alot of take out orders or someth'n? So i look at the guy eating pizza and I ask him if we seat ourselves and he said yes, I sat down with my son assuming we'd get service in 5 min.....then 10 min passed and my son is 3 years old and he's hungry no one showed up, I was at my table in this EMPTY restaurant, the cashier and the girl who i'm assuming was a waitress, just on their phones, and I got a bit upset but waited, I wanted to see how far this would go well. I waited a whole 20 min, then I got up told my son they ran out of pizza because I refused to beg for service, I walked up to the girl since the cashier was gone and explained that we've been waiting and she didn't offer to serve us she just said "Oh,sorry about that" and didn't offer us to sit down and take our order, she just stood there with this 16 year old mentality of "that's your problem". So as I walked out with my son and went next door to have some sushi, I'm not surprised to logg on here and find it with 3 stars....Westchester is a great neighborhood with prestige, this place needs to go or the Owner needs to be notified of the lack of service it's employees are giving. read more

I have been holding off writing this review for months upon months. I am a HUGE fan of Beach Pizza in Manhattan Beach. I have had Pizza in New York, New Jersey, South Africa, Chicago and up and down the West Coast and in my opinion Beach Pizza Manhattan Beach is the BEST I have ever had. My friend, her niece and I went to have Pizza here several months ago; we were very much in the mood for Pizza this day. We go to Yogolicious from time to time and saw the construction of this place for months before they opened. When they finally opened we were pretty stoked to try it out. We arrived for our meal just about a week or so after they opened the doors to this place. We arrived and the place was empty. We sat down and ordered drinks which took quite some time to come out, we are talking drinks here. We ordered a salad with dressing on the side. Our salad was visible in the pickup window as no joke 6-7 employees stood around the cash register being walked through the process of the machine; this went on for 10 minutes. We finally stood up and walked over and picked up the salad from the window ourselves. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, light sauce well done. The cook's looks so confused with this simple order, you can see into the kitchen. The pizza took forever to come out. When the Pizza did come out it was greasy and not well done. We sent the Pizza back and asked for them to cook it further which they did. The Pizza came out the second time and it took 2-3 napkins per slice to soak up the grease on top of the Pizza. We were all in the mood for Pizza and none of us could make it through a single slice of Pizza. The waitress came over and asked if we would like a box for our food, we said no that we did not want it. The owner was within ear shot of this conversation and came over to ask what the problem with the Pizza was and I straight up said 'This is the worst Pizza I have ever had.' I gave this description to the owner, I said Beach Pizza Manhattan Beach is like Filet Mignon and Beach Pizza Playa De; Rey is like Alpo dog food. The owner gave us a business card to come back in a few months to have a Pizza on him; the Pizza was so bad we have not been back since. We still go to Yogolicious which is right next door and make a point to look inside of Beach Pizza every trip and the place is empty CONSISTANTLY. The final straw in the hat was the last time we went to Yogolicious and employee from Beach Pizza was standing on the corner of Lincoln & Manchester with a handwritten sign on a piece of cardboard like a homeless person begging for money trying to convince people to stop and try the Pizza, I have no idea how this place keep the lights on. We have nothing against Beach Pizza we were just at the Manhattan Beach location just about 2 weeks ago and loved the food. In our opinion this location is trying to cater to the people in the area, the students and have put into question the quality of food because it is NO BUENO. read more

Pizza's only available by the pie...no luke-warm slices that are reheated...all fresh here! The pizza is very good with a good amount of cheese and a sweet sauce. The location is very convenient (at the corner of Lincoln and Manchester) and there is free garage parking. Very friendly service with a warm ambience (booths, tables and a large-screen TV) and next door to a Yogolicious. A great addition to the Loyola/Westchester/Playa Del Rey area! read more

I was so disappointed when Beach Pizza moved from their Playa del Rey location. Finally, after a long wait, the Westchester location is open! This is my favorite pizza in town. I met the owner and we talked about his struggle to reopen in the new location. He is super pleasant and eager to talk to his long time customers. Since I'm a creature of habit, I like that they store your previous orders. I'm not worried that Big Brother knows I like double sauce and double cheese. Which is why I like Beach Pizza - their sauce. I'm a not an expert on pizza sauces - but being from Chicago, the sauce is important! It's obvious why this place has a 3 star average after 150 reviews. This place is a joke!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! We were looking for a spot to eat before picking up family at LAX. The location looks nice and very appealing. Service from the start was odd. Waiter asked twice for our order but chalked it up as end of the day. Mozzarella sticks were extremely under cooked. Chicken wings over cooked, and the small pizza we got had all of the toppings piled in the center. Again, chalked it up to end of the day. The topper was the fact that they started cleaning and spraying bleach in the dining area while we were eating. 45 minutes from closing, 1/3 of the way into our meal, and now the strong smell of bleach ran us out. Refusing to pay the entire bill was a bit better on my way out. We left 2/3 of our food on the table. It wasn't edible anyways. Just save yourself and don't go here!! read more

So this location kind of sucks to get to, or you can park in the underground parking around the corner by the gym. The pizza itself was pretty tasty, but the customer service inside was not as good. In today's competitive market, customer service should be the second most important thing after amazing tasting food, so they lost two stars for that. Specifically I asked about the discount with a yelp check in, and the guy just said "you have to eat here to get it" and walked away. Beach Pizza is two for four for me, due largely to service. A year ago I was on my way to a friend's with the family and wanted to pick up some pizzas on the way, so triple checked when I ordered that they would indeed be ready in 25 minutes. When I arrived, they hadn't event started making them. Last evening, I tried to order two pizzas for delivery, and use the online $7.99 coupon for a large cheese, as posted on their website. I was told that offer was no longer valid and it was now $8.99 for an additional large. I said "no, your website says $7.99, and I expect that price to be honored." I spoke with the manager who claimed that he couldn't change the price in their system (really? a manager can't modify a price in a system? for $1?). Even if that was the case, he should find a way to make it right. It was just a dollar, but this is service 101, folks. You honor your advertised prices. So, I called La Rocco's in Westchester, paid the extra money for quality pizza, and loved every second of eating it. read more
