We are here twice in out three mornings in Pismo and would have eaten there a third but the line was brutally long (for a reason). The biscuits here are fabulous whether you eat them with the house made strawberry jam, the honey butter or their out of this world gravy. We also had the two small chorizo burritos which are perfect for two to share. read more

This place is apparently the place to be in the morning! The line may be long, but the wait is short and the service is incredible. If you're not taking your biscuits (or breakfast burrito, or breakfast tacos) to go, and you have more than one person in your party, have them have eagle eyes for a table to open up in the busy times; the tables are few and fill quickly! Luckily while we were there the tables seemed to turn quickly as everyone was aware there were many others waiting to sit and chow down. It's practically a food stall with a miniature walk-in area. It's upbeat/energetic, appropriately stylish for the area, and incredibly cozy (space-restricted) inside and out. They were planning a MOVE in August, so they may have since moved to a more spacious location. I can't wait to check it out! read more

Wow BISCUITS are soooo GOOD. Their GRAVY is also ON POINT. Definitely recommend the Pismo pier combo...wont regret It. Don't even need any extra protein!!! Do not recommend the gnarly potatoes: WAY TOO SALTY AND UNDERCOOKED. Stick to their biscuit combos!!! Cute little place. Service was quick and pleasant. read more

TLDR: Get the Boogie Board Breakfast Burrito and try the red salsa! Biscuit was really yummy and dense. Wish I would have opted for a more standard option like the Board Walk Bites or Sand Dollar to really let is shine on its own, it can be a bit overwhelming of a bite when put into a sandwich. We stopped for breakfast after checking out of the hotel and started exploring. This spot is super popular with lots of traffic. There's table and "bar" seating out front. You order inside and pick up at the window outside. You can also order ahead and just pick up. The star for us was the red salsa! I'm not sure if it's home made, assuming so because everything else seems to be. It pairs so well with the Boogie Board Burrito, add bacon crumbles. The burrito is also great, full of eggs and bacon and cheese, not just potatoes. This is a common issue in the breakfast burrito department. I enjoyed my biscuit breakfast sandwich but found it a bit overwhelming trying to each all together. The biscuit is moist and dense, but as with all biscuits it takes some chewing to get it down. I would recommend the biscuit on the side or on its own with gravy or butter/jam. read more

Great service! Beach decor and outdoor seating available. But, the biscuits were just okay.... They were on the dry side even with the gravy. The sausage gravy had some flavor to it. My husband enjoyed the gravy more than I did. We have not tried any other biscuits in town, so I cannot compare them with any others. read more

Oh man, what a great meal to start your day on a road trip up the coast! We stopped here on a Wednesday morning in early July on a drive from Ventura County. When we arrived at 9 am, the line wasn't too long and moved quickly. We settled on the Boogie Board Breakfast Burrito, a Sand Dollar and Totally Beachin Sammie. The burrito was delicious and large enough to share. The Sand Dollar biscuit with strawberry jam was perfect, so decadent. And my teenage son devoured the breakfast sandwich. Great little spot steps from the beach and parking is plentiful right across the street. read more

I went to Pismo Beach/Oceano Dunes during the weekend. I booked a stay at a nearby boutique hotel and decided to stop by here for breakfast before driving the four hours to go home. I can see how they got well over 1,000 reviews and 4.4 star ratings. Well deserved. I ordered a breakfast burrito which came out huge and it was good. The person handling the register was super friendly and personable. They're relocating to a bigger location, directly across the street, for anyone who wants to try their food. read more

The outside ambiance is nice with music playing. Animal friendly. Service is friendly, helpful and attentive. Delicious. We came here 3 times on one weekend. Friendly service. Lots of food to choose from. We had coffee, not weak, yay! Had Portuguese burrito, Pablo burrito, breakfast burrito, pismo pier, kids breakfast, sand dollar. All delicious, soo much flavor in all. It's a very popular place. Two mornings had to take it to go as there were no seats. Food was still very warm when we got back to eat it. You can order ahead also. They are moving soon across the street. read more

What's not to love! Biscuits...good, gravy...good! I am always on the lookout for a good stand out biscuit and gravy. While visiting in the area this place popped up. We decided to give it a try. We placed our order, then once it came out there were no seats, so we walked to the beach and enjoyed it there. The biscuits were huge and flaky! The gravy filled with sausage and goodness! We both enjoyed our orders and were glad we ate at the beach, because we were so full we needed to walk some of it off! read more

This review is for a To-Go order as we didn't eat at the restaurant. I'm giving this place 5 stars because I was pleasantly surprised at how good the Biscuits and Gravy were. Mind you-- I'm not even a Biscuits and Gravy person as I *never* order this stuff at restaurants nor have I ever attempted to make it at home. It was only because this place came up on the Yelp feed and we were bringing back Cinnamon Rolls for the entire family that we figured we should try them. There is only outdoor seating here as you can see from my pics and capacity was only at about 20 people give or take. We ordered 3 boxes with 4 biscuits per box.. They were smothered with gravy and added the extra sausage patty ($3.25) per box. The biscuits were dense, moist (unlike others I've tried) and the gravy was on point. Savory, thick and creamy with bits of meat. $3.25 per sausage patty was kinda steep as an add on but after one bite, I could almost justify it. It tased home made, not too salty and didn't leave an aftertaste in my mouth like other sausages I've had in the past. (Head out of the gutter.) One other thing to appreciate is that they double boxed all of our containers. This was totally needed just to give it structure and reinforcement-- just in case the gravy would soak through. While I won't be craving biscuits and gravy anytime soon, I'll definitely come back here if I'm in the area. read more

Located in Pismo Beach, and conveniently just a few minutes from my house, Beachin' Biscuits is a cute little hole in the wall spot with amazing food! We have visited a few times, and every time the food never disappoints! Their breakfast burritos are absolutely delicious, as well as their biscuits and gravy.- both are SOO good! Princes are reasonable, and the portion sizes are quite generous. They have an entire outdoor patio area with a decent amount of seating; perfect for enjoying the breezy, coastal weather on a weekend morning. I would consider this a 5 star, bit of a hidden gem, and I can't wait to go back again soon!! read more

I stopped by Beachin Biscuits for breakfast the other day. I had been here when they had first opened years ago and I wanted to try it out. I usually swing through Pismo every couple of months and it was something near that I wanted to check out. I should have left more of an appetite that morning but I was still excited to try the food that are seen in the pictures. I went with a pirates cove which is one biscuit with sausage gravy and I added the linguica link to it. It was a ton of food and I would slowly pick out a throughout the day. After ordering I waited a couple minutes and my food was piping hot and ready to go. The restaurant itself isn't huge but there are a couple tables set up inside and also outside where people can dine. The next time I'm in town, I definitely want to try one of the sandwiches that they have. The food was great and also the team working there was very friendly as well. This is a wonderful place to check out if you're looking for some great food. read more

I've never been to a biscuits specialized breakfast spot before but wow this place really showed up. I got their toes in the sand which consistent of two biscuits smothered in gravy and bacon bits and my friends got a boogie board breakfast burrito. The biscuits were absolutely delish, being pretty moist than typical on its own and had the perfect smothering amount of gravy!! I was worried about the bacon bits being too salty but I think this place is doing it just right! More places should follow suit! My friends enjoyed their burritos but felt it was pretty standard and you do have to pay extra to add a meat in. Overall, would recommend this place because the biscuits really are beachin! read more

A must when in Pismo beach!!! My husband and I shared The sand dollar is a biscuit you can choose between honey butter or jam so yummy and you have to order The Pablo which is Two fried flour tortillas filled with chorizo, homestyle potatoes, and cheese with a side of gravy. I didn't need the gravy but my husband tried it and said it was really good combo. The flavor and consistency of the tacos were 10/10 so much flavor we regretted sharing lol. The staff were all friendly and on top of it. My only gripe is the seating area the place gets packed and there isn't much seating your basically waiting for someone to get up to get a spot so we took it to the beach instead and sat on a bench at the pier coffee was delicious as well. read more

Fluffy homemade buttermilk biscuits in beautiful Pismo Beach. I always grab our goodies early in the morning and walk down to the beach so they can be enjoyed with one of the most beautiful views. The beach is a very short 3-5 min walk. These biscuits are always fresh and hot, very fluffy and buttery, with a soft interior and slightly crispy crust. Whether you enjoy a biscuit on its own don't forget to grab some homemade strawberry jelly and honey butter. So good! Or my very favorite sandwich is a biscuit with a fried egg, cheddar cheese, and some crispy bacon. This guy will fill me up until dinner. Service is friendly and fast and I always seem to get an adorable blonde surfer boy. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and plenty of free street parking. read more

The food is good but if you go on a Sunday order online first even if you are coming to eat there. They prioritize the online orders so even if you only had a few people in front of you it can take a long time. Ordered at 9:04 and my one avocado toast came in at 9:30. Made it best. Gnarly potatoes with over medium eggs were by far the highlight. Cool biscuits with cold butter or so crumbly you could not hardly eat them on their own. Probably better with gravy on them. The three egg and biscuit breakfast must've had three of the smallest eggs I've ever seen and hardly any cheese on it to speak of breakfast. Burritos at the other tables looked good and the place was packed so it must be worth a try. read more

I love biscuits, so couldn't pass up trying this place. All the tables were taken when we arrived, but a table was available once our food was ready. I went with the Low Tide (biscuit and scrambled eggs with cheese, additional .50 for a side of strawberry jam). The eggs were seasoned perfectly and the biscuit was definitely fluffy - maybe would've liked some butter to go with it. Hubs ordered the Gnarly Biscuit sandwich. It was covered in gravy. Hubs really enjoyed it - full of flavor. I'd return to try other menu items. read more

This place is small and has a more grab and go feel. We ate at a bench outside but the weather was beautiful and the sea air was easy to breathe. The biscuits and gravy was phenomenal and iv had lots of south east biscuits and gravy. This place is my go to for a special breakfast treat or when I am showing my east coast guest around. My only suggestion is to offer a few lighter/healthier options so I could come more often. read more

The individual working the register has bakery items on a rack that is eye level to her. She is constantly flopping her hair back and forth. In addition I noticed that when a server came out to clean tables and dirty dishes, they would put them in the sink and then just to grab food items to serve. They didn't even wash their hands! After I noticed that I had been waiting for a long time, I asked the person at the register about my food. She looked over to the rack and my food was just sitting there for an ample amount of time. All she could say was (very awkwardly) sorry. I decided to keep my cool and hoped the food was going to be okay, but when I got home there was hair in my plate.

We usually stay near the pier, and this place is less than a 30-second walk, which makes it perfect for a quick morning coffee run. Both times we've been here, the coffee has been excellent. On our first visit, we got iced coffees, and they were great. They offer a wide variety of milk options, creamers, and syrups, along with the usual sugars and sugar substitutes, so you can customize your drink pretty much however you want. They also have a full menu beyond coffee, including iced tea, lattes, chai, hot cocoa, and Americanos. For food, they offer pastries, Belgian waffles, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. I haven't personally tried the food yet, but everything I've seen coming out looks really good. On this most recent visit, we tried their affogatos, and they did not disappoint. We both went with vanilla, and it was exactly what you'd expect. The espresso was made fresh, and the balance between the hot espresso and cold ice cream was perfect. Seating inside is limited to a few bar stools, but if you walk just outside and around the corner, there's a breezeway seating area with comfortable chairs and a nice coastal breeze. It's a great spot to sit and relax for a bit. Overall, this is a great coffee spot in Pismo Beach. Consistently good drinks, quick service, and a convenient location. We'll definitely keep coming back.

In the meantime, another couple walked up requesting a table, instead of being instructed to return, they stood there and waited persistently to be seated. As I noticed a table clearing, I walked up to check with the hostess to ensure we would be getting that table. The other couple took that as their cue to insists that they get the table that was being cleared. Instead of seating us, the hostess gave the excuse that there was no reservations and no naming for tables, and instead gave the now open table to the extremely pushy couple demanding a table they were 2nd in line for. Had we not been adamantly instructed to wait and check in again in a couple minutes coupled with the fact that we were literally sitting at a table within view AND normal talking distance for her to say "we are ready", she caved in to the rude couple's persistence in being given that table. Catering to customers like that surely isn't the best choice and had others, like us, walk away. We did speak with the supervisor on shift. He did his best to make things right, but at this point the entire situation left us little appetite to dine here.

They clearly know what they're doing. The clam chowder absolutely lived up to the hype. It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Honestly, just writing this review makes me crave another bowl. My mom ordered the lobster roll, and we were impressed by how generous they were with the lobster. Another nice bonus is that they offer daily specials, giving you even more reasons to come back and try something new. Overall, I highly recommend Splash Cafe and would consider it a must-visit spot when exploring SLO County.

The poached egg was a little over poached (not runny at all), but still good. We order our hash browns extra crispy and they came out perfect. My wife had the Golden Flame Chicken Sandwich and is was good, but not spicy at all. She was hoping for more spicy, so she added Cholula hot sauce to the chicken. Still looking forward to trying other options on the menu. Next time. Cheers!

Grab a couple extra napkins to wipe the table, because as I mentioned they're very busy so it doesn't seem they get to cleaning the tables often. Nothing gross, but not freshly wiped either. I got the cherry roll. She got the maple bacon. We shared. That cherry roll is one of the best of ANY dessert I've ever had. I almost don't want to leave this review to gatekeep, but yeah, if you're near Pismo, this place is a MUST.

The dough was a bit harder as well and it wasn't too sweet, maybe the one with cream cheese frosting would taste better. Overall, this was super delicious and worth it. Portions were huge and it's quite filling.

Cobb salad was spot on , chicken was warm and freshly grilled and tasty. I eat a lot of cobb salads and hate chilly pre cooked chicken that doesn't taste fresh. Woolys was awesome, we ended up coming back for breakfast burritos when we left town and they were really good also. Can't beat the views and the food is legit, well done !!

She brought us fresh hot corn and flour tortillas with a small cup of brown sugar butter and three different salsas to try. Everything was delicious. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a jumbo shrimp on top of a filet mignon that rested on mash potatoes and a creamy/savory white sauce. We also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. We spent a gorgeous Monday afternoon here grazing on appetizers and enjoying the sun. The food was light and refreshing specifically the bruschetta and the calamari. The staff made us feel right at home, which is why our "one drink" turned into a four-hour stay. It's cozy, upscale but down-to-earth, and easily one of my new favorite spots in Pismo.
