For as long as we own a Toyota we will be trusting it's maintenance and repairs to Josh and the team over at Bearden.

Once I was moving, I only made it down the street before all power failed in my car and I had to coast to a stop. It is to my great luck and joy that I coasted to a stop in the parking lot of Oak Knoll Automotive. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bobby, who spoke to me like I was his friend and communicated clearly what he thought the issue might be, how long it would take and approximate cost. There were techs buzzing around the bays hard at work, so instead of making me wait forever, Bobby went out and took a look at my car himself and got it into the garage out of the 100+ heat. I ended up spending a couple hours in the waiting room (which was thoughtfully decorated and had plenty to read or watch) before Bobby told me they needed to keep the car overnight. This morning, I got a call from Bobby first thing where he told me the plan for the day and when I should expect to hear back from him. Like clockwork, he called me back to let me know my car was ready and gave me a price breakdown of the repair work done. All-in-all, this place was wildly helpful, communicated clearly about the work done, and priced fairly. Going into an auto shop as a woman by yourself can be intimidating, but this shop defies that expectation and rises to make for a terrific experience for all. I would recommend this place to my friends and family any day!

My car had died, and based on my understanding, I believed the battery was the issue. I had purchased the battery from this shop about a year ago and was told it had a 3-year warranty, so I came in expecting to have the battery replaced under warranty. Instead, I was told there was nothing wrong with my battery. The situation then turned into an issue with my alternator. I was initially quoted $1,500 for a new alternator, then $1,200, and eventually told Randy's "homeboy" could do it for $500 cash. I told him I didn't have $500, and he asked, "What do you have?" He eventually agreed to $200 cash. When I came back for clarification, I was told I was getting a brand-new alternator. However, when I returned, the same alternator was still on my car. I was then told that the positive wire on the alternator had been fixed and the alternator had been cleaned, and that was what the $200 was for. I was given a $0 receipt for the warranty battery, but no itemized receipt explaining the $200 cash charge. I left extremely confused and feeling like I had been misled about what work was actually being done. I don't know a lot about cars, but customers deserve honesty, clear communication, and documentation of what they are paying for. I personally feel like I was taken advantage of. Be aware of Randy and make sure you get everything in writing before paying for additional work.

When I left, I immediately noticed the brakes were still squealing and (intermittently) the brake pedal was now "crunching" when pressed and now I had a new droning sound when driving. I took the car back on August 7th and again today because all of it was getting louder, not going away. (Manager) Victoria told me (both times) there is a "break-in" period on new brakes and the squealing would go away (I've had brakes replaced on other cars and never had this) and there was nothing wrong with my car, so I went and picked it up. The noises have gotten worse, so I took it to my regular mechanic who looked at it (and took photos) and said the brakes were "on backwards" and not seated correctly. I told Victoria and she called my mechanic. My regular mechanic said both "inners" were on one side and both "outers" were on the other side which Victoria said is totally acceptable. Not to me. I paid $700 for my car to be repaired correctly not "acceptably". I've been asked for my money back so I could go to my regular mechanic and get my car fixed correctly, but she said she could not do that. I then asked to speak to the supervisor, which she said she is, so I asked to speak to the owner and she said his name was "Kevin-something" she was unsure of his last name (really?). I should have trusted my gut. The first time I went in there and a man was complaining about whatever they had done on his car (July 24th was the 3rd time - I had oil changes each time due to a coupon book that I purchased from a guy who came selling them at my and I thought I would try Meineke because they are walking distance to my office). I want my $700 back so I can get my car fixed right. I drive long distances regularly on I-35 and don't appreciate an incorrect job and neither would all the cars on the highway that could be affected.

Don did am amazing job with the installation and was extremely knowledgeable about high performance vehicles and the technical details with how to also reset my ECM/KAM.
