Ordered take-out during COVID Times on a snowy Sunday afternoon- 2 pies and a large house salad. Hostess was nice. The pies were hot and ready on time, and tasty as usual. As a long time Beau Jo's diner I was disappointed in the $9.50 "Full Size" House Salad. It wasn't ready so an employee ran back to make it real quick while I waited. I was expecting this to serve at least 2 people. IMO this is a single serving. It's in a small take out box with about 1.5 cups of lettuce, 4 slices of cucumber and a few pepperonis. Salad wasn't the most fresh quality. Do not recommend for take out, I could have made this at home. Get a different salad or inspect it before you leave. read more

I, my wife and my parents went July 4th 2025. None of us live in Arvada so we went for one reason. There was to be live entertainment that night and we all thought it would be a nice way to enjoy the Holiday. We arrived to find out that they had cancelled the entertainment. The lady greeting us at the door knew nothing about it but our waitress filled us in that the manager had decided to cancel the event. Funny enough we were told because they thought it wouldn't be worth it. The manager will love to know that he signed a contract that if he cancels, he still pays. Talk about big disappointment already! Now because we all converged on this pizza joint, we decided we were going to eat there anyways. I personally would have left but that's me. I won't say anything bad about the food, it was good. I have two maybe 3 other comments. We were sitting outside on the patio because that was where the entertainment was going to be. The chairs are so not comfortable especially not to eat in. We saw almost every chair outside had crumbs and pieces of food laying in them like they didn't even bother to brush the pieces of food off the chairs. That was disgusting. We asked the waitress to tell the manager we were very disappointed that he cancelled the entertainment. The manager did not have the respect to come and apologize for doing that. Here is my last rant, I have been there before, I tell you the food portions, the pizza sizes the salads even shrunk, same price but less food. So, very disappointed in that they canceled the live entertainment, there was no warning of it and the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant, the manager didn't care to apologize for what he did canceling the main reason we came to his restaurant for. Colorado style is truly one of a kind pizza! My mom and I got the same small pie except mine had wheat crust and vegan cheese and hers had white crust and regular cheese. I live in Raleigh, NC and discovered Beau Jo's via a friend's FB post while they were on vacation. As luck would have it, I have business in the Denver/Broomfield area a few times a year. After seeing the FB post, I was intrigued. I checked out the menu and "had" to have some Beau Jo's pizza. Unfortunately, there is not a location convenient to the office, so there was not a good lunch option. I called and chatted with the manager of the nearest location, and explained the situation. He was SO KIND and THOUGHTFUL that he offered to deliver pizza outside their normal area, so my crew at work could experience the pizza for themselves. Beau Jo's is a Colorado Style Pizza (or so says the website). They make mountain pies (aka pizzas by the pound) which are thick crust and have an abundance of ingredients. They also offer prairie pies which are a thin crust. We ordered a number of pizzas including Motherlode (meatlover's), Combo, Margherita (prairie) and a few others. Let me just say, the Motherlode was my favorite. It had all of the meats and just made me SMILE! I am not a mushroom fan, so the Combo was not my thing, but my co-workers enjoyed it. Although I wasn't as interested in trying the thin/Prairie pizza, the Margherita was quite tasty too. One of the cool things about Beau Jo's is the provide you with honey to be used as a topping for the crust. This was an added bonus that I had heard about in advance when I was on the plane to DEN; the gentleman next to me and I were chatting about my food plans, and he told me to make sure I got honey for my pizza. I had no idea this was part of the order, but I am so glad I had some (OK, more than some). Thank you again to the team at Beau Jo's for giving me the opportunity to experience your yummy pizza. This place is delicious. We stopped in when driving though Denver and it did not disappoint. We got a pizza with Italian sausage and pepperoni and the margarita pizza. Both were great and done with the Colorado style pizza crust. We also really enjoyed the option to dip the crust in honey, which felt like a dessert after each slice. The only not as great moment was that we all felt the margarita pizza could have more flavor, it just felt lackluster in comparison to the other pizza. Overall a great choice though! read more

I had high hopes for Beau Jo's but between the bland pizza and the horrible service I just can't. We made a reservation via phone because we had a large group so when we got there there was a table waiting for us. The restaurant was completely dead so it was unnecessary. They sat us and we realized that the chandelier above us was giving the strobe light effect and would have asked to be moved but no one ever came to the table and the restaurant filled up. We then were finally able to order beer and when it came it was all flat. Pizzas were ordered and an hour later came and they were horrible. They tasted like cardboard nothingness. I'm really not sure why their toppings didn't have flavor either. I had asked if we could bring our own cake for a kid birthday and they said yes but no one ever came back to give us plates or silverware. My mom ended up going to the kitchen and asking the dishwasher for help. After that we sat for another 30 minutes waiting for our check to be processed, they just never came back with the run credit card. We got there at 5pm and left around 7:45. Let's get the bad out of the way. I've been here quite a bit of times since moving to Colorado and the service has always been good. Today was the only time that I've had a bad experience. The server was everywhere and didn't seem to pay attention to our table. Other servers seemed on point, so I'm just gonna assume it was a bad day for our server. Onto the food. We ordered 4 items from the menu. The chicken ceasar salad, the motherlode 1b, Hawaiian BBQ 1b and a appetizer of 18 wings. The worst out of the four was the chicken Cesar salad. Chicken was bland and felt like rubber. Salad dressing had an odd taste. It simply wasn't good. My mom had a couple of bites and simply couldn't finish it. I don't blame this on them though because they are mainly a pizza restaurant. The wings weren't terrible, but they weren't the best either. I personally enjoy a good crunch with my wing and these simply weren't it. It had your usual buffalo sauce, so it wasn't terrible. It worked well as a appetizer, but you might want to hold the appetite for the main course. The motherlode and the Hawaiian BBQ were pretty damn good. Like every time that I've eaten here, the pizza was nicely cooked and the meat felt juicer than ever. If you have a sweet tooth, then you'll really enjoy the crust with honey. Overall would recommended motherlode due to my love of meat. If you like substitutes to your sauce then I would recommended the Hawaiian BBQ. The place does deserve its 4 stars. I believe the service today was simply a bad day. The wings were alright(get some crunch in them and they'll be top tier) and the salad simply doesn't fit in the picture of pizza restaurant. It doesn't matter which pizza you choose (they are all consistently delicious), just be sure to order the "mountain pie". The pies are thick, so be prepared that they take a while to cook. The crust is meant to be eaten with honey, so be sure to try that. It's like dinner and dessert in one. This is a very casual restaurant in terms of ambiance so keep in mind that you are there for food, not for an amazing dining experience. I don't recommend Beau Jo's for anyone on a diet, as the healthy options are limited. Will continue to drive 22 miles each way to come here for a hearty cheat meal. read more

Diego was friendly and had the right vibe for good customer service, which sometimes determines what kind of mood I will be in right before I eat; he was also kind enough to seat me next to a plug outlet so I could charge my phone, which made my trip to Denver stress-free since I didn't have the correct lightning cable connection in my rental car, I also asked him what his Top 2 pizzas were which was the 1 lb Sausage Combo and Lil' Italy so I ordered a half and half personal pizza and was very pleased with the order. Before visiting my friend in Colorado, I began researching if Colorado was known for any types of food. Beau Jo's came up in a list of foods to try so when my friend recommended we try it together for the first time, I was totally down to see what the crust and honey was all about. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which was a ceramic bowl filled with mushroom caps stuffed with cream cheese, spinach and baked with tons of melted fontina-provolone cheese. It basically tasted like mushrooms baked in a lot of gooey, chewy cheese! They added some lemon slices on the side which actually add a little zest to the dish. My friend and I really wanted to try the mountain pie which is a pie topped with many ingredients which are then rolled into the pizza crust edge. We decided to do a half and half mountain pie. The pizza is charged by the weight so we got a 1 pounder of the Arugulove (garlic cream sauce, arugula, chicken, sundried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese) and Pesto Chicken (basil and pesto sauce, chicken, roma tomatoes, provolone, cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan and fresh basil). The pesto had a bit more flavor than the Arugulove but we finished it all. Although I'm not normally one to eat pizza crusts, Beau Jo's will give you real honey to squeeze on to your crust and eat. We ate it all and I would eat it again. Service here was wonderful. Our waitress, whose name has escaped me, checked on us the right amount of times to refill our water glasses and to make sure there wasn't anything else we wanted. My wife and I visited Beau Jo's in Arvada with our 2 granddaughters on Monday, 12/26/2022, and had a wonderful evening including great and friendly service, a delicious Mountain pizza, 2 kids' meals and an exceptional and entertaining visit by a Magician at our table that mesmerized all of us and included ballon swords and hearts for our granddaughters!
