This buffet was the best on the coast!! Unfortunately it is sub par now. Second time to eat there after it reopened after Covid There was very little resemblance to the former buffet. It's not that there is less variety in food choices, it is that the choices available are not very good. First off, there is still fried chicken but only wings are offered. This is odd considering we are in the south where fried chicken is a must. They also offer fried catfish fillets which are barely warm and taste like they have been cooked for a while. The roast was very rare with no other choice on the carving station. Most all the food seems stale and processed food. No salad bar anymore due to covid which is okay but the offering of a bowl of stale salad will not do. The dessert is also limited with one bright spot of apple crisp which was warm and delicious. I'll start by saying that I still love the Beau, but I hope that management does something about the food at the breakfast buffet. I ate the breakfast buffet this morning, and had a terrible experience. First, why do we pay for our meal up front for buffets? Any other dining experience you pay at the end. I'm forced to give low gratuity when I pay up front, becasue its so unexpected, and I'm glad I did, this time. I scratched $2 in the receipt, thinking I would leave some extra cash on the table before I left. I only stayed for about 15 min, ate one plate, and left. I essentially tipped $2 for a glass of water ... I will say, though, that the staff was pleasant and professional for the short time I was there. What drove me away so quickly this morning was the food. I think the Beau Buffet fails in that it doesn't seem to do anything very good. It has a huge selection, but it's a selection of subpar food. I would much rather have a selection of say, 10, items that were really really good, rather than 40 not good items. The Eggs Benedict were just gross. That is a dish that needs to remain made to order, with sauce made from scratch. If you're not willing to do that, you just shouldn't serve it. Dry sausage, stale "benets" ... everything except the corned beef hash was just not done well or was gross and dry from being out too long. ... and why is there stinky old seafood out in the morning? Who wakes up and can't wait to eat yesterday's boiled shrimp? $26 for one plate of food and a glass of ice water. Even my drink server asked why I was leaving so soon. I just politely told her I was done, and thank you. Until something changes, save your money and get breakfast across the street. Just to be clear, this is NOT an indictment of the staff, but who ever is managing what is served and what is charged at the buffet. We were looking to eat crab so we called ahead to make sure they were serving it. They confirmed crab was on the buffet that night. Got there and it wasn't. They said they had it on the buffet all week but not that night. We had called earlier in the week too and they said it wasn't on the menu on those nights that they just told us it was?!?! We proceeded to eat there since we were a group of 7 and getting there took so much effort. I also requested to sit in view of the buffet if possible so we could keep an eye on our older kids if they wanted to get something. They said okay and then proceeded to walk past multiple empty tables and seat us around the corner. They sat other parties in those empty tables by the time we went to the buffet (within minutes). I paid to go eat and well I get to the soup and there isn't no meat and nothing to eat.. how do you pose to make a Pho dinner. We had the buffet. Everything was hot and fresh. Excellent choices - something for everyone. It was SO good, I went 3 times for my meal and once for dessert. Only one drawback: the area is very open, so smoke kept bothering us no matter where we sat. Could they install fans or blowers to keep the smoke away? We came to Biloxi on a last minute weekend trip. We have always looked forward to eating at the Beau buffet. This buffet is HUGE. Tons of options & pretty much something for everyone. The dessert selection alone is mind boggling lol oooh the mini creme brulee is SO good. Usually I would have always given this buffet 4 stars. 5 would be difficult since there is always something crusty. I give our last visit 3 stars because of these reasons: Prime rib - asked for rare, we got well done & It was so dry Salad bar - almost everything except the lettuce and dressings were almost empty. It's like no one was tending to it at all. It was dirty as well. Sushi- while I am glad to have sushi on a buffet, it's basically the same 2 rolls in different wraps. Crusty food - need I elaborate? Boiled seafood - yeah it's great for those who want it but when you pile the crawfish in that huge mound, it's obvious they aren't rotating the food per health code requirements. What I did enjoy was the salad I was able to make with what was left on the bar, the potato soup was very tasty, and the creme brulee is the bomb. They usually have fruit loop or fruity pebbles rice Krispie treats that are just plain yummy, but none this time. This certainly was not our best trip to the Beau Rivage buffet. I have been to a lot of seafood buffets. The Beau Rivage's Seafood buffet is by far my least favorite. The majority of sea food was either deep fried or breaded. Where was the salmon? Couldn't find any. How about sautéed white fish meat? None. There were plenty of crab legs and crawdads and that was good but not what I was looking for. Flavor? My quest for good food is mostly judged by flavor. What fish, clams, and oysters I did eat had no flavor at all. The ladies who serviced our table were very polite and helpful. Can't say that about the servers. Eye contact and a smile can go a long way. Couldn't find that as well. I can't comment on the rest of the buffet but I would reconsider going if it is seafood you are desiring. read more

I've waited a few days to clear my mind and just think about our experience at the Buffet. So my wife decided to take me here for Father's Day because of the prime rib and brisket that was on the menu, let's just say there was a lot left to be desired. First off, if you're going to advertise a $32 prime rib centerpiece buffet dinner for Father's Day, then at least have it. We showed up at 5 pm so not too late in the day, but they were already out of the prime rib and trust me had they informed us before we dropped the $80+ we would have gladly went somewhere else. We were sat at a table and not provided utensils or our drinks until after we got our food and had to ask for them. Oh and my wife got sick to top everything off. I have stayed at many casinos in Biloxi MS, and the BR (beau rivage) was less than to be desired. When I checked I asked the desk attendant about the buffet, he said "look in the guest services book in your room". He couldn't take the time to answer a simple question, and I was the only person checking in. On to the food, the buffet was horrible wight the exception of the Asian menu, and the deserts. The prime rib was very dry, there was no crab, and the shrimp were way overcooked. I have had a better hotel experience at rooms that charge by the hour, and a better buffet at the golden coral. The good: the place is very nice, but a small gaming floor. The staff in the coffee shop was top notch. The bad: hotel staff very rude, gift shop staff very rude, small gaming floor. Visited the Beau buffet for late lunch in March 2016. We were impressed at the variety and flavor of the foods. The lay-out was first class and the entire place is like an upscale buffet in Vegas, like Bellagio's. My wife liked the decor and fabrics/ furniture in the dining area. Everything was in good order - no rips or tears or obvious stains. I started with a plate of Chinese samples - general to chicken, rice, pot stickers and a rib. The food was easy with some spice, but not too much. I later had a piece of the prime rib and a piece of rosemary chicken. Both were very good. I left needing a new belt size. My wife has a variety of veggies which she enjoyed. She later sampled several of the soft serve ice creams that were available. On the dessert bar, they have a number of toppings and you can have the ice cream in a bowl or cone. She also had a high end green tea. It was a brand we had not seen and it got 5 stars from my wife for her two cups. Service was attentive - drinks were refilled quickly and extra napkins were brought without a request. Around $39 for two + tax and tip. Worth the visit as we later could not do dinner. read more

The Friday night crab leg buffet was terrible. The crab legs were small, cold, and the shells were rubbery and hard crack. The rest of their seafood was no better. The prime rib was overcooked dried and tasteless. I asked for medium rare. I got a slice without a speck of pink in the middle. The only highlight was our waitress, she was very friendly and efficient. The servers at the buffet line were slow so there was always a long line. My husband and I got sick immediately after eating there. We spent the next 24 hours laid up with stomach problems I live in Iowa a 1000 miles from any ocean. TERRIBLE experience here! Went to dinner at 8:30 on a Sunday night (they close at 9:30) and paid $49.95 per person. Half of the food had either been taken up or was almost empty and the other half was ice cold. Not room temperature, not warm, ice cold. When we told our server that we were not happy and everything was cold she just said 'I guess they're closing it down' and walked off. Really? Fifty bucks a person and you don't care?! How do I give half a star?? When it comes to a buffet I never expect perfection well with the Beau Rivage buffet they really delivered. For $50 dollars one would think that something would at least be warm. If you want hot food go to the omelet station. That was the only thing hot that I ate this morning. They put out a new pan of roasted potatoes and the were warm at best. The service was less then desirable. My suggestion would be to save yourself a few dollars and find a Golden Corral if you want a buffet or Waffle House. Either would give you a better outcome. read more

Went to the buffet for the Easter brunch yesterday. I have to give it 3 stars because my husband enjoyed it. I however, ended up with food poisoning that night. I can't blame them 100%, I shouldn't have eaten the lukewarm food I put on my plate. Large selection, but they need to do a better job of monitoring food temps and replacing food that's been out for too long. Some things tasted great, others were tasteless. Stick to the pasta or omelet bar for some hot, made to order selections, or grab what ever comes out fresh. For several years my family and I have been coming to this buffet. It certainly has potential. There is a large assortment of native and ethnic food. I love the all you can drink wine or beer (It's a good deal). My main issue is the wait time in line to get in. There's something that needs to be done with that line. Drove from Baton Rouge to Beau Rivage on Friday to enjoy the seafood buffet that we used to eat on Fridays at the Beau Rivage for Lent. The buffet used to always have crab legs, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, sometimes crawfish and an assorted variety of usually pretty good seafood. The buffet has changed. One entire section was closed. The only seafood were boiled shrimp, blackened fish, and greasy fried catfish. I would have done better going to the Silver Slipper, much more reasonable and much more seafood and a lot shorter drive. Used to have fruit on the salad bar, no fruit. The buffet has certainly changed in the last few months. read more
