But I mean it when I say, "Your hair stylist will either break or make your hair". I'm quite simple and tend to focus more on the quality of my hair and haircut itself. Annie has always accommodated my schedule, met my needs in every hairstyle, and is detailed in her work. She's the only person that I schedule that can work with my type of hair. Everyone will have different needs, and she does try her best to accommodate those needs. Would recommend her since she's in Irvine/Mission Viejo. Also, I love how she puts in the effort to decorate her studio!

She also didn't hair shame me for my hair texture, but worked with my natural hair and didn't pressure me to get extra treatments. She listened, was skilled and gave me a new cut and style that I love. She also made me delicious ice coffee! Service was over the top :) She was also very observant and acknowledged I had waited longer than expected for my appointment. I appreciated her kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you!

Closer to the appointment time, I received a text link to check in. Upon arrival, I was greeted right away and taken to the waiting area which was stocked with SO many drinks and snacks! Prob the most and nicest setup I've seen for snack/drink offerings at salon. They make their own cold brew, have a large selection of teas, nespresso pods, milks, syrups, and bubbly drinks! Seriously such a cute setup. The salon itself is very clean and modern with a lot of natural lighting. Leslie was super sweet and I liked my haircut! My appointment wasn't too long but I didn't feel rushed at all. I went in on a Saturday and did not have issues with parking however I can see parking being a little tricky if you book during the week, so be sure to plan ahead just in case. I came in with multiple reference photos for what I thought was a pretty straightforward style: layers, curtain bangs, and a blowout, with about 3 inches taken off my base length. Instead, I essentially left with 3 inches taken off and a few layers in the front that didn't translate into the back. I was also disappointed to find that their version of a blowout was simply blow drying and curling the hair, which was not what I was expecting based on my photos. More than anything, I wish they had just been upfront and told me they weren't comfortable doing this particular haircut. When I showed the stylist my photos, they gave me several reasons why certain techniques or the style itself wouldn't work for my hair. I would have much rather known upfront that they weren't comfortable executing the look and waited to see my regular stylist. I also should have asked to see some of their previous haircut work beforehand as none of their work is similar to the photos I included here. I really tried to be understanding throughout the appointment, but unfortunately, I left with a basic haircut that wasn't what I asked for and a result I'm still dealing with weeks later. Just a really disappointing experience overall.

I've been coming to Beauty Time for at least 10 years. The facility is spotless, modern and the lighting is comfortable and cheery. My nails are hard to work with and they always turn out great! My hair is very thick and coarse and Lin loves to work on it. It's fun to sit in the spa chairs, get a Pedi and watch Lin transform someone's hair into the perfect style for that person. I found Lin when I had a business in LF years ago, but I still drive from Newport Beach to get pampered. They do it all and well. They DO NOT push items just to sell them to you. But will educate you if you want to try other things that they do. They truly understand the concept of service. So many of us frequent Beauty Time that I always see a familiar face when I visit. Always friendly and fun. Leave yourself some time when making an appointment. They don't rush and it may take a bit longer than the nail salons that do mass production. Beauty Time is a true Salon. She (My Thai) asked if I wanted my toenails trimmed or filed, and I specifically said, "No, just file them." Despite that, she clipped them anyway. On my third toenail, she clipped into my skin without checking first. I felt it immediately, and while she apologized right away, it was still painful and completely avoidable. The menu advertised complimentary drinks, but when I first walked in, no one welcomed me, offered me anything to drink, or even acknowledged that service. The salon also seemed noticeably short staffed. There were only three technicians working while about five customers. The pedicure itself felt hurried. When I left, my skin still felt sandy and sticky from the exfoliating gel because it hadn't been thoroughly wiped off with the warm towel. While I was waiting for my pedicure to dry, the staff were talking in Vietnamese about someone named Kimmy. Apparently, when I walked in, they thought I was her because I looked similar. One of them laughed and said it was "like speaking of the devil" because they had been talking badly about Kimmy before I arrived. I don't think they realized I'm Vietnamese, but I understood every word they said. Besides being unprofessional, it was rude to have that conversation in front of customers, especially everyone else wasn't even Vietnamese. Overall, this was not the level of service I expected for a $38 + tips pedicure. Between the long wait despite having an appointment, the rushed service, the accidental cut, the lack of hospitality, and the unprofessional conversation, the experience was disappointing. I WON'T EVER COME BACK!
