I wish we have this store in Tampa. Every time when I go to the mountains in Canada, I found this store. Seem like they like to located next to the national park. Beaver Tail is a fried dough shape like actually beaver tail. It top with cinnamon and sugar. Certainly you can add toppings on it. The toppings include melted chocolate, apple cinnamon, cheesecake, vanilla icing, banana and more. It is delicious party food. Good snack too. So it is a tail, don't let it slap your face :) This store has extra thing such as smoothie and moozoo. The moozoo is actually select pre-assemble fruit and add orange juice then throw in the blender with ice. The result is wonderful and healthy. It is cool drink for the summer in park. The service is good. I think the server is tire since they already make so much of it and loose the smile on the face. But they did a good job to deliver their products. read more

Definitely a must when visiting this cute town! My family was told that Obama loved this little shop when he came to visit, so there was no way we could pass up an opportunity to dine at the same place Obama did! The beaver tails are so tasteful. I personally love the ones with flavoring on it, rather than the simple original, but you really can't go wrong with any of the options. The texture of the beaver tails are also unimaginable - they are the perfect balance chewy with an initial crisp on the surface. These desserts are made fresh with each order, and you can really tell the quality of these desserts because of that. I'm hoping to visit Banff again, so I 100% will be coming back to try more flavors! read more

I don't know what all goes in it but the cashier recommended it and all my family members and I loved this one over the banana Nutella one. I saw some reviews saying it didn't live up to their expectations but it was fine to me. We found a free parking spot for visitors but had to walk several blocks away from this location. The day we came was quite chilly but thankfully the line up into the shop rotates quickly. We got our orders placed and received in less than 10 mins. I ordered the brWOWnie beavertail and my friend ordered the Bananarama beavertail. Brownie one was very sweet, very chocolatey. It's loaded with Nutella and topped with pieces of white chocolate and brownies. For a light snack (which was what I was going for) it was probably a very bad choice because it was insanely sweet, but if you're in the mood for a very sweet and chocolatey treat then I would suggest getting this flavour. My friend mentioned that with hers, the Nutella was also quite overwhelming, but the banana helps cut through the sweetness. Visited Banff for a long weekend and my friend says that we have to get beavertails. I look at her confused. You said beavertails? I assumed they wouldn't have any vegan options so I said ok I'll go with you to get one for you. I was in for a pleasant surprise. So many of their beavertails can be made vegan. I ordered the Oreo/cookies and cream beavertail and it was soooo good. So light and crispy but soft? Idk how they do it. Oh right probably more oil than dough lol. I'm not complaining. It is very rich. My sweet tooth was satisfied for the weekend with one of those. Made with whole wheat flour which is a plus? My first ever beaver tail! This was my second day in Canada and I have beaver tails as something to check off my foodie bucket list. Very happy I came here for my first experience: the workers were very nice and gave us soooo many samples, they recommended things based off our taste / desire for something not too sweet, and the dessert itself was DELICIOUS!! There's no seats inside, so we took the seats that were outside to eat. It was just hot enough to be a gooey chocolate boat of goodness, but still crunchy and cool enough to be eaten before the ice cream created a melty mess. We also tried the cookies and cream and the maple one, but it was too rich. The only problem were the hours of operation. They don't list it outside the front window. I love @BeaverTails and I hate @BeaverTails. Here's why... Every location of Beaver Tails (two in Banff and one in Winnipeg) has very poor nut allergy knowledge and practice. I'm convinced this is a corporate-wide deficiency as it extends to two provinces in my experience thus far. I totally understand they cannot guarantee a nut-free product when they handle nuts in-house. However, I at least would like their employees to know a little bit about nut allergy protocol. In Winnipeg I asked if Skor had nuts in it (I honestly did not know if it did or not). They indicated it didn't. I told them I wasn't allergic but my wife is deathly allergic so I did not want to cross contaminate her with my nut-breath (insert joke here). After getting my Skor Beaver Tail my wife stopped me before I could have my first bite. Skor does in fact have nuts in it. I had to give it away. In Banff, at both locations on two separate occasions I had asked the employees if Oreos had nuts in it. They both said they didn't know. I knew that Oreos don't contain nuts so I ordered it anyway. Get your employees more familiar with proper nut-handling techniques and scenarios please! read more

In the United States these are called Elephant Ears and much larger then the beaver tails. I have to admit the beaver tail is in a whole different level!
