BIG LIE!! Told us no more chocolate cakes...when we returned later they had serveral sitting there.
    Ivan H.

We were staying down the street and needed a birthday cake for our friend. Stopped by and inquired about a chocolate flavored one. The lady behind the counter said they only had 1 left, and it was vanilla flavored. Since we didn't have a choice, we ended up buying that one, "the only one left." We asked for the cake to be set aside since we were going on a walk, and after 30 mins more less we returned to see they had several more, and chocolate flavored ones. What the....!!!! Is it that hard to just be honest and tell us you had more options? Hard to believe this establishment would just flat out life. Unreal...

I have mixed feelings about this bakery. I think it's fantastic that it seems to be locally run! But the cookie I got tasted like any store bought cheap sugar cookie. And this one cost a premium! At least it was cute. This is very close the the manhattan beach pier. While I did not get one, I did notice they have a sandwich menu. It'd be fun to grab a sandwich and have a beach picnic!

We came here before heading to the beach and were surprised at all of the goodies for the low price! We paid less n $5 for a shortbread cookie, pizza pocket, and cheese scone. All were delicious and scrumptious too. The cookies are picture worthy and almost too pretty to eat with the colorful frosting. They've been around for awhile and are such a good treat. The team members were helpful and served us quickly, but there are no tables or chairs inside, just grab and go pastries.

Nice local bakery with really reasonably priced baked goods! We got a huge chocolate chip cookie for $2.50 and a decent sized surfboard cookie for $1.75, and at other bakeries they could easily charge $3-4 for each. Both cookies were tasty, would recommend this place for a baked good if you're in the area! There was some outdoor seating, nothing inside.

Like all shops in the Manhattan beach area, the parking is based on 2 hour metered parking. This bakery is fairly okay. The designs for the cookies are fun. The taste is okay but I'm not a personal fan of straight sugar cookies. But if you are then this bakery could work for you. The staff were nice and service was quick. There's no seating except for a few tables outside. So you're mostly eating to-go. But cookies at the beach is fun.

Picture cookies are always different everyday. Obsessed!

Huge fan of a sweet treat, but a bigger fan of Becker's! I always stop by here when I'm in the area. They have the best sugar iced cookies.... And cutest too. Always in theme of the holidays and their original heart, sprinkles, and surfboard cookies are a Manhattan Beach staple here. I always pre order my cookies as they do sell out on the weekends... I'm not kidding. They offer custom cookies online and other options. The cakes are fun for any occasion and birthdays. I always grab an order no matter what day it is and it brightens my day. Come by here and grab a treat.

My family loves Becker's! We originally tried it while visiting a family friend in MB, and now we go back all the time. The cookies are delicious, truly. Amazing sugar cookies with the cutest designs I've ever seen. The whole place is like that, with pretty coastal art and warm lighting. The employees are always friendly and the service is quick. Just make sure to come early if you want their cuter cookies, like the surf boards, because they sell out! Everytime we go to a party and need to bring a gift or food along, we get these sugar cookies. We'll be back again very soon.

These heart cookies with the pink frosting were literally my lifeblood in the early 2000s as a young chimp running around the AMS Elementary School. I came back here for the first time in a minute this weekend, now a full grown orangutan, and can confirm these heart cookies with the pink frosting ($1.50) are still literal crack cocaine. I really don't even mess with frosting on cookies usually, but Becker's is just different. I paired an americano with my cookie, as they now have a Hi-Fi Espresso in here which I think slangs some of the best espresso around. It makes me feel like I'm in Europe idk how else to describe it. I almost bought a shirt, but I have SO many shirts already so I opted against it. However, when I was doing my due diligence for this review a sense of regret shot through my spine like it was an epidural when I saw Beckers has been around since 1942. I had NO idea that Beckers has been around since Joseph Stalin was the Time Magazine Person of the Year. Still so crazy he was Time's Person of the Year....... The business is still in the family after 3 generations (Shoutout to the OG Harry Becker for kicking it off), which really makes me want to go back and buy a shirt. I love places passed from generation to generation. No wonder these heart cookies with the pink frosting still taste exactly the same as they did when I was just a little chimp. Some free game for y'all, if you go to someone's party in Manhattan Beach and they don't have a box of Becker's cookies, they are a big fat phony..... ahaha I'm playin but actually OGs will always have a box of Beckers for a function. I should mention that they also have a deli here that people love, but I've really only ever been here for the cookies. You know why I'm here. As the money and botox continues to move into Manhattan Beach, this is one of the 5 or 6 places left keeping the soul of what I knew as a small local beach town alive. THANK YOU BECKERS NEVER SWITCH UP! I'M COMIN BACK FOR THE SHIRT! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Today, I found a box of Becker's Bakery Cookies in our lobby at work with a lovely note to enjoy the cookies. Our office is an hour away. Later in the day, I opened the box to an absolutely gorgeous display of cookies with our corporate logo perfectly captured in the icing. What an amazing surprise and a fantastic marketing campaign! I later found out a vendor had these delivered as a thank you gift. I passed the cookies around to our manufacturing managers and IT staff who stayed late in the day to get work done during quieter hours. Everyone raved about the cookies: very moist, tasty, and with just the perfect amount of sweetness -- certainly a cookie an adult would enjoy with their tea or coffee. I believe we will order cookies from Becker's Bakery for some upcoming events.

We raised our kids in Manhattan Beach and came back to town recently for a visit. With so many new restaurants popping up in downtown MB, it really is nice to see one of our regular places still in business - Becker's Bakery! Our kids have great memories of Becker's - from frosting cookies during the annual holiday open house, to buying a whole bunch of surfboard cookies to share with classmates on birthdays, to simply ordering sandwiches to have on the beach. A few days ago, we decided to get some sandwiches to eat on the pier and, naturally, bought a couple of their surfboard cookies to go along with them. What a treat! Delicious! I'm grateful to the new generation of the Becker family that are keeping this gem going after all these years!

The sandwich and pastries were delightful, and the staff provided helpful and courteous service.

I've walked by this place several times every in the morning and missed out on trying because it's not open til 8:00. Decided to be patient and get my coffee later than normal. The plan was to just get coffee but I saw this amazing pastry begging to be tried. First off, the coffee was perfect. Bug this apple fritter type pastry is one of the best I've ever had...in my life! They had croissants the size of my sneakers, cinnamon buns, cakes, and colorful cookies which were so welcoming when walking through the door! Can't wait to try more things from this place!

Plastic in my sandwich. I finished more than half thinking the meat was just tough. Then pulled this out of my mouth.

Been coming here for a while. Sandwiches taste great. But my last sandwich had plastic in it. Which I ate some of before realizing. This is a food safety issue. I'll stop by tomorrow with the rest of the sandwich and plastic.

Cupcakes and custom cookies from Beckers (I added my own rings off Amazon- although I'm sure they can get or do any customization)

Does Beckers deliver within South Bay? Plan to place an order to deliver to Carson

    Is there a phone number?

No - just email them . They are very responsive.

Okay what time does this place actually close? Whenever I'm in the area this place is always closed but sign says it's open till 4pm. Very misleading online hours and store posted hours.

The deli closes at 3, the bakery closes at 4. They are closed on Monday's.

When you can't even get a dozen doughnuts from a doughnut shop to take to work, BEFORE work...there's some major operational failures that need to be remedied. I work at the airport and we're unable to get app based food deliveries. They can't even come into the airport. So, I usually order Sidecar on my way to work and have the driver meet me at the LAX Metro Transit Center, before hopping on the shuttle to my terminal. I placed an order for a DOZEN through Uber Eats at 6:35 a.m. And this is the message I get from Maya. I call the store and ask them to cancel it. 5 minutes later it's still not canceled, so I call back and BEG them "PLEASE CANCEL THE ORDER?!" and the young lady with such a bad attitude replies "We will cancel the order, don't worry about that." and I say "Can you cancel it while I'm on the phone?! I want to know it's been canceled!" Her smart ass reply was that "You're gonna have to wait, becauee there's no manager here, but you'll receive a notification when it's canceled" so I ask "You can't cancel an order without a manager?" and the girl says "No." then I ask "Can I have your name, please?" and with an audible grin on her face, she says "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."and I said" OK! That's fine!" and hung up. Minutes later, the order was canceled. Sounds like Sidecar has some real superstars working at their Manhattan Beach store. Also, this was a delivery order and the fact that she even thought it was for pickup and casually says to wait an hour and a half before pickup at 7 in the morning incompetence and a total lack of consideration at its finest. It hurts, because I really do like Sidecar and have for about 3 years. I've introduced many to their doughnuts, but spending $60 on a dozen, just to get treated like you're a joke is abhorrent.
