Everything was great, I asked if that was conventional oil because I thought my car was conventional, they insisted no it was a synthetic blend. OK fine, that's not the most expensive. Even though there is a sign saying conventional is $59, there's no sign saying how much synthetic blend or synthetic oil was. So,I rooted around on my phone for a bit and found a $26 coupon off and it ended up being $106. I have never, ever,... In my whole life Ive never, ever, paid over $100 for an oil change. That's just totally absurd. And while I live in Illinois I doubt any oil changes over $100 there, so I ended up taking it in the shorts, but I guess this is how it is, and this is my best rated Jiffy Lube down here that I had used or even looked at. I'm so glad I gave them another chance. Today I stopped by to see about having my brakes done and the Manager, Rich was so helpful! He offered to take a look just to see what I would need because I wasn't really sure. I fully expected to hear I'd need new brakes and whatever else could be sold to the girl who knows nothing about brakes...but, the opposite happened. Rich came in and showed me how much life I had left on my brakes and told me I could get them done but it wasn't necessary yet. I was so relieved and because of his honesty I will definitely go there when the time comes to have them done. Since I was due for an oil change they got me in and out in about 15 min and Fabian was really kind to me the entire time. I will recommend this location to my friends and family for sure. They assured me the man I had such a bad experience with on multiple occasions has since been let go.

It got so bad that my vehicle started smoking heavily and left me stranded on the side of the road. What makes this situation even worse is that I had a newborn baby with me when this happened. Being stuck on the roadside with a smoking vehicle and a newborn child was terrifying and completely unacceptable. My family's safety was put at risk because of what appears to have been poor service performed at this location. After I returned for help, I was told someone would contact me about the issue. No one ever called. No one followed up. No one checked to see if I was okay or if my vehicle was safe to drive. The lack of concern and customer service has been unbelievable. The situation became so serious that when I brought the vehicle near another Take 5 location, employees were hesitant to even touch it because of how badly the vehicle was overheating and smoking. That alone should tell you how serious this issue is. Based on my experience, I do not feel the technicians at this location are properly trained or knowledgeable enough to be working on customers' vehicles. A routine oil change should never result in a vehicle overheating, smoking, and leaving a customer stranded. Please stay away from this location. My experience has been stressful, dangerous, and frustrating from start to finish. Instead of taking responsibility and helping resolve the problem, they ignored the situation and left me dealing with the consequences on my own. I expect Take 5 to investigate this matter, contact me immediately, and take responsibility for the damages and hardship this situation has caused. Went to another national chain for the exact same service last Thursday and they couldn't get the oil filter off. It had been over torqued was their definition used; they being the tech and the manager. Went to a second oil change store(different from the others) same thing, just different verbage. Their concern was they could snap or break the oil adapter. That would keep the car from running and require a mechanics shop. Off to a real mechanic, they also noted the over torqued filter. It was fixed for $217.19 Calls to their complaint number, not one returned. They have more than one number found online they are 1-844-541-1767 & 980 365-5166. My experiences with them may not be the same for you; or representative of their business practices. Always review the shops you wish to consider. Yelp and the Better Business Bureau are a good start. This company are not members of BBB but you can see the number of complaints and their similarity of the issues that are filed. Got estimates and ride home from them then picked me up when it was done only bit over an hour later. That in itself is a major find add the very clean shop, reception area , the all around pleasant attitude, knowledge, price this is the first shop since I moved here 3 yrs ago that actually has it all‼ I will be bringing my car here from now on. They also did not leave greasy hand/ foot prints all over my car. A first since I moved here. I highly recommend this business.

These guys did a great job. They were thorough and explained everything that needed to be done and why so that I would feel safe and confident on the drive home. And their pricing was competitive. The owner even offered to throw in some parts at cost to help me out. Shout out to Mike and Sam the mechanic who got on the phone with me and answered all my questions (who does that!) and Mike who personally made sure I felt well taken care of and paid attention to all of my concerns. If you have a European car, I cannot recommend this place enough!
