Amazing Service... Super friendly and fast. Very clean restaurant. 10/10 Recommended!!!

I was in the Bellaire part of Bellaire Blvd. And did a quick search for dumplings near me. Which is how I ended up here. What I call the "Pollo Campero" part of Bellaire Blvd. Used to live off of Chimney Rock so this was my old stomping grounds. Still come here for the interesting Ethiopian restaurants. And the spectacular Maria's All Natural Yogurt is in this same strip center. Anyway. On to dumplings. Pan fried dumplings aka pot stickers. I was very pleased with the quality of these. I'd come back. I want to try a noodle dish or two. But I'll also look forward to their soup dumplings. However....... Only disconcerting thing was that the TV was tuned to Fox News. That bothered me since that company has done so much harm, with their rage-baiting and distortions of the facts. Because of that, it may be difficult for me to patronize them as I would be reminded of how much harm Fox News and Trump have done to our country and democracy. Really not my favorite, very disappointing, especially with the good reviews I'd seen online for Bee Bite Dumpling. We tried two kinds of dumplings: pork soup dumplings and chicken and corn dumplings. The pork soup dumplings had barely any broth, to the point that they might as well have just been steamed pork dumplings. The chicken and corn dumplings were totally lacking in flavor (needed lots of vinegar and soy sauce to eat them!), and the dough was super thick and lumpy. To top it off, the food also took a while to come out (maybe 20 minutes), and there were only two other tables. read more

Shanghainese fare in the heart of Bellaire (#1) is not really a thing, so the arrival of Bee Bite comes as a pleasant surprise. They are still getting their bearings straight and are experiencing the many inconsistencies that come with being a new business. While they have been far from perfect, they get a 4 for the potential that I hope they can realize soon. The interior reminds me a bit of Dumpling World in Sugar Land (#2), where the decor is minimal and space is scaring towards small and best. A service feels a bit rushed due, take out orders and a small staff. I love the older people in the back making dumplings by the minute, which is always an excellent sign. As for the food, there are some misses and some hits: :: The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) have a fairly thin skin and decent broth, which is more than I can say for many other places that try to replicate the same thing. :: Their scallion oil noodle is authentic and is reminiscent of actual Shanghainese places, especially in Shanghai heavy restaurants in NYC and LA. This is particularly important because many places offer soup dumplings but not other items that qualify as parts of the Shanghainese cuisine. :: Mapo tofu had the right amount of kick and the tofu cubes were soft and delicate. This would go well over a nice, freshly steamed bowl of white rice. :: The yangzhou fried rice is among the worst I've seen in any place I've lived. It was lacking flavor, presentation, and was unbelievably greasy. I realize this is not their specialty and it really shows. To add to it, the shao mai (#2) had this really bland quality to it and the fried rangoons were also really subpar. Let's be clear, no one who knows what they're doing would be coming for this. I really tried to like this place but I haven't been this underwhelmed in a VERY long time SADLY. Let's start with my first dish, the Mongolian Beef, or more so the Mongolian Veggie platter as this meal was 75% onions and veggies, 20% beef, and 5% sauce. It gets a score of a 4/10! Next was the Eight Piece Pork Soup Dumplings, these were decent. I've definitely had much better. The dough was super thin and the soup was lackluster in both taste and amount inside the bun. Very disappointing and earns a 5/10 score. Lastly we had the orange chicken. It was lackluster and was just a filler. 5/10. Overall, this place is not worth the drive and I most likely wouldn't recommend. read more

We found this place by accident after leaving the dentist office across the parking lot. It's absolutely amazing. The food is fresh. The staff is super friendly. You can watch the chef making soup dumplings while you eat! The food is a variety of different choices and all of its excellent. We really enjoy the Kung pow chicken and the sweet-and-sour chicken and their beef roll is tremendous. read more

Absolutely legit dumplings and dim sum, and just generally Shanghainese food. Crazy reasonable prices. HARD RECOMMEND I think it's the most exciting thing to happen to Bellaire in years, like after Pho Ben came in. Bellaire area has never really had a non-American Chinese place. And even the closer places like Trendy Dumpling, Triple Pepper, Cooking Girl/Hu's Cooking are all very good, but Bee Bite uniquely focuses on dim sum and dumplings. s/o Chyna Blackmon for telling more people about it. January 19, 2026-- Amid the mostly Mexican Latino businesses at Plaza Del Rey on Bellaire Blvd, just outside Bellaire, Texas city limits, Bee Bite's Chinese food was a nice surprise. Since mid-December 2025, we have ordered takeout steamed items, all good and flavorful, 3-4 times from Bee Bites. Our first takeout orders were Bee Bite's steamed items--steamed dumplings, steamed Pot Stickers in hand-rolled, handmade thin wrappers and the Dim Sum Pork Shui Mai. All were excellent. This afternoon, we dined in and ordered the stir-fried Mongolian Beef, Wonton Soup, Steamed Sticky Rice with chopped pork in Lotus Leaf and the Egg Flower Crab Soup. It all came with a bowl of steamed white rice. Everything was flavorful and had good ingredients. The food bill was $27, ($32 including 20% tip) Bee Bite's prices are competitive with current prices at other types of restaurants (American, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Korean, etc.) We also have dined in Houston's Chinatown and Katy's Asian Town. This place is amazing, greatest dumplings i have ever had in my life, flavorful and delicious, and the service is excellent. We have tried the pork buns, the pan fried dumplings, the scallion oil noodle, and the shrimp chow mein. Excited to come back and try the rest of the menu. A new Chinese and Szechuan restaurant in the city of Bellaire and it's the best we have around this area. We stumbled on this restaurant while searching for late night eats and ordered cucumber salad, peppered beef udon, spicy chicken, pork dumplings, chicken and corn potstickers, and beef roll. The interior of the restaurant was as expected for a start up. However, what interested me most was the qualiy of the food when it arrived. My wife and I probably ordered one dish too much , but every dish tasted well. The order was chicken dumpling, beef roll, chow mein, and orange chicken. Each food item had their own taste and they were heightened when used with soy sauce and red pepper oil. I would highly recommend Bee Bite Dumpling for additional food samplings! Honestly, i'm surprised this location hasn't hit social media yet. i went to lunch w my daughter and twin sister and we wanted to try a new place. it's so cute and the staff are so sweet! Not only was the guy super friendly he gave us some tea while we waited and updated us on our order all with a very genuine happy attitude! Customer service is top tier. The FOOD IS SPECTACULAR. Do not waste your time or money. The food at Bee Bite is lousy. Our take out order was incorrect, the dumplings were thick and chewy and the filling was mushy. Egg rolls were not made with fresh ingredients, rather they were filled with gooey paste. Fried rice was over cooked and bland. Don't go. read more

I loved this place! The dumplings were fresh with very tasty fillings. We had the crab soup dumplings and the chicken and corn dumplings. The chicken and corn dumplings were my favorite. We also tried the beef roll and it was very tasty and crispy it was like a bahnmi but in like a pancake. The service was also very friendly they deserve all the business.
