Honestly, I couldn't believe that my wife and I came here THREE times! Everything was absolutely amazing every time, save for a small issue on the third visit. Our first visit was with our entire family (11 people including kids). The interior was so charming, filled with the shops history and memorabilia. The line was long but the cashiers and waitresses had nothing but smiles on their faces. They were patient and enthusiastic as our party made our orders to go. I had the Bee's Breakfast Sandwich that morning. The second day, my wife and I came by ourselves with our dog. It was a much slower day and the same cashier took our order with the same patience and kindness. I asked a couple questions about their coffee and decided to try it, and to my delight it was amazing! Roasted by a local roaster just for Bee's, so I just HAD to buy a bag for home! I ordered the Meat Lover's Breakfast Burrito with the tomato herb aioli added and my wife ordered the Veggie Breakfast Burrito with Chipotle aioli. Our third and last visit was just myself picking up food to go for our drive home. Same staff with maybe two new people working, but they were just as nice and attentive as everyone else! I made my order as well as another cup of coffee (which lasted hours, the flavor didn't die-down!) and waited. I received my order from one of the kindly waitresses and began my trip home. We ordered the same burritos as the day prior. Unfortunately, we didn't get too far before realizing the extra aioli we ordered in our breakfast burritos were not put in. I went back in and asked for the aioli on the side which the waitress was more than happy to do. On the other hand, the chef seemed to disagree and argue that the aioli made it into the burritos (evidently they weren't as I ate mine an hour or so later, no aioli!). Despite the little tiff, the waitress yet again served with a smile. Apart from the small issue, everything was amazing each and every time. Bee's Cafe will definitely be the thing I miss most about our stay in Oakhurst! read more

Stopped by on my way to Yosemite this morning & really was looking forward to a good coffee drink. Unfortunately, it tastes like they haven't cleaned their espresso machine in months. There was no menu, except for a holiday menu for drinks and I was told the TV was supposed to change between the regular menu & holiday specials but after 10 minutes, not one flip. So I went with what I knew and ordered a Cortado (cashier had no idea what this was) & a caramel latte. To my surprise, the drinks weren't even drinkable. The taste of old grounds & water is exactly what my "latte" tasted like. It's horrible for businesses to promote coffee menus when their drinks are barely edible. Sad day for the coffee community. This is less of a review and more of a concern for anyone ordering baked goods. Last Saturday, I phoned in and a person took my order for a birthday cake to be picked up on Thursday. She took my name and my phone number, and confirmed all the order details. I called to confirm on Wednesday, and talked to the baker. I thought I was lucky since the order hadn't gotten to her. So we again went over all the details, and arranged for it to be picked up by 12:00 noon. This included talking about what should be written on the cake. I arrived at the bakery on Thursday, at noon, and no one in the shop had any idea about any order at all. The baker had left for the day and they couldn't reach her, so I left quite disappointed. They called my phone a while later saying that the baker could come in from home and "assemble the cake", but by then we had left town and were headed back to the Bay Area. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly, and the food in the cafe looked nice, so perhaps as a food stop it would work, but I have to caution anyone that might be ordering cakes from there. read more

Disappointed to say the least! Waited 20 mins in line, just for the cashier to tell me I could not order lunch "because there are a lot of people who still want breakfast." A whole 5 people in line behind me. I asked what time lunch starts, he states "typically at 11(it's 1120) but there are still a lot of people who want breakfast." I told him how unfair it was, that not only did he put out lunch menus, it was past 11, and we had waited in line for 20 mins just like everyone else, to be denied service. Cashier said nothing and asked for the next person in line. Horrible costumer service. Maybe tell people if you are delaying lunch next time so they don't waste 20 mins in line, sweating in the hot building. read more

The biscuit & gravy was not biscuits but ONE biscuit that was dry as hell. The gravy was very bland no flavor what so ever, I was so excited to eat here. The hash browns were not good whatever butter or oil was used on the hashbrowns that's all you could taste when you take a bite. I paid $15 PER plate so I spent $35 on biscuits & gravy that we couldn't take more than two bites of. I tried to come here again, thinking that it changed from when they first opened but I do not recommend their breakfast maybe their biscuits and scones but they need a new cook. The person cooking looked like she was not trained correctly. She was very young and the portions were just a no for me.
