Before going into Beechmont Toyota, I would have given them 1 star, based on my experience with their Internet Representative (Vanessa). I had originally started my car search with an "Online Price/ePrice" request, and received an email from Vanessa. She was incredibly unprofessional. When working with someone through email, especially when it involves earning my business, I expect it to be professional. Vanessa sent me numerous emails with typos, incorrect punctuations/capitalizations, and poor grammar. Needless to say I was less than impressed. I decided to give them a second chance, and went into the dealership when I was ready to test-drive and make my purchase. (They seemed to be one of the only dealers to have a 2013 still in stock, now that the 2014 model is out.) I worked with Tony, who was great. Not pushy at all, and I worked with him on possibly trading in my current car. Although they weren't able to match the price CarMax had given me on a 2012 VW Passat (I ended up taking it back to CarMax to sell), I got a great price on a new 2013 Prius C, and I am loving it so far! I'm glad I ended up giving Beechmont Toyota a second chance after a bad first impression. read more

Every time I drop my car off for service I get reached out to by a sales rep for an extended warranty or that someone "needs my car and to call them back as soon as I can". I don't appreciate my information being given without my permission to the sales team when I just come in for an oil change. Seems to me they are more concerned about making a buck then taking care of their customers. read more

This review is for the Service Garage at Beechmont Toyota. Although I bought my Camry from Kings Toyota, since I moved to Columbia-Tusculum three years ago I have been taking my car here for its oil changes. They are awesome in their service department. You can make an appointment on-line or call it in. They send you reminder emails too, which helps me since I forget to write my appointments down. They also give you a keychain card (Think Biggs Pump Perks or Krogers Plus card you keep on your keychain), and with that, every time you come in they swipe it so it stores all your information, and you can view it on-line. They are very quick for oil changes, less than an hour, and they usually have a coupon in the mail, or they just add it on at check out if you forget to bring it. The staff is so friendly too. Their new facility is POSH. I never thought I would say a service garage was posh, but they have runners who bring your car out, and they are wearing white collar dress shirts, bow ties, vests, black pants and dress shoes. Yes, like a high class valet. The waiting room is nice too. A flat screen TV with a couple of couches and chairs, then the kiddie area in the corner has a flat screen for TV shows AND a flat screen TV for PS3 games! They also have current magazines in a nice spindle. Nothing worse than being some place and all they have is four year old US Weekly and Vogue magazines lol. They serve free Starbucks coffee in the waiting area too, as well as juice and water and snacks. Also if they are busy they have those pagers where it lights up and buzzes when your car is ready. Target on Beechmont is across the street, but there is no light nearby so if you want to go while you wait, you gotta play frogger lol. read more

I was told to come in for maintenance by the service department. I scheduled the appointment on a Saturday morning - my day off- and was told this was a requirement for me o maintain the lifetime Toyota power train warranty. Once I arrived, I was told that it would be $129.99 to have them change my oil and tires as I was slightly over the mileage for the free service. And there was no point into he service. Do not recommend at all, go elsewhere. read more

I called back 30 min later. The guy tells me they can't take it in, and that the first available appointment is 12 days away! I took a vehicle here to get a mirror fixed. I called the day before to see if they had the part. They said they did not have it and would have to inspect the car first. At no point was I told I needed to schedule an appointment for this. In fact, it was told to just bring it in whenever was convenient for me. When I brought the vehicle in, I was then told I needed an appointment. The next available one was several days later. They told me I could leave the vehicle there until the appointment. When they called with the estimate, they told me that I should call my insurance for assistance with paying for the repairs. My insurance did an estimate that did not match Beechmont Toyota's estimate. It was for substantially less. On the estimate from my insurance company, there was a link to submit addendums. I sent this to Beechmont Toyota. Meanwhile, my wife delivered our daughter and there were severe complications leading to an extended stay for both my daughter and my wife. I received a call from Beechmont Toyota complaining about how long my vehicle was in their lot and saying they did not receive anything useful from my insurance. I explained that I was in the hospital with my wife and that my daughter was in the NICU. I explained that there was a link they could submit information on. They asked me to submit the information for them because they were too busy. They, also, explained that they will not deal with insurance. They refused to price match on labor because they are not a body shop, they are a service center. The estimate from my insurance had the labor listed as more than $100 less than Beechmont Toyota wanted to charge. This was based on the average cost in the area. Beechmont Toyota said that this average must be only for body shops and could not give a reason to justify the higher price of their labor. Also, the person I was dealing with was never available unless I asked for a manager. When I did this, he was immediately available every time. Long story short, Beechmont Toyota wasted my time, complained because my family was experiencing medical issues, wanted me to do their jobs for them, and attempted to charge far more for a job than is reasonable. I strongly advise that no one gives them their business. They have lost mine for life. read more

Was definitely a huge disappointment for a lot of reasons. I'm pretty sure they didn't take me seriously at all just because I'm a woman and I'm young, They take advantage of you for sure. Their system couldn't even find the person who was trying to be my co-signer even though he had a license and pays taxes and has an SS card. Then when I finally got approved, after a week they come back and tell me I'm not approved anymore. I'm sure they'll comment trying to stick up for themselves but please don't buy into it. It's literally the worst joke ever. I really thought they'd be different but I should have known better. Lol. Also kept getting hung up on and transferred and they said they would call me several times about giving my $2000 back and I think I'm just going to have to get it back in person. read more

There's a reason this dealership has such low ratings. I unfortunately chose to purchase my vehicle here despite having a quite pleasant experience at Kerry Toyota in Florence. The salesperson was very pushy and chose to omit information that resulted in me paying a higher monthly payment than what I was comfortable with. After having a negative buying experience, I continued to bring my vehicle in for oil changes, giving their service department the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. Their online appointment scheduling wasn't functioning so I called to make the appointment over the phone. Today was supposed to be the day of my appointment and they had no record of it. Do yourselves a favor and go to Kerry Toyota in Florence. It's definitely a further drive for me but well worth it. No one has the time for this nonsense. I know I sure don't. read more

I recently had work done on my Ford Explorer I bought through Beechmont Toyota. It turned out the car needed a brand new transmission which fortunately was covered through my extended warranty. I worked with Lee Cromer through the service. He was absolutely outstanding. There was a lot of red tape and hurdles to get through and Lee stayed on top of all of it. His follow up with me was better than any customer service I have ever received. He always called before I had to check in. So far we have had a great experience as a result from buying our car through Beechmont Toyota and will definitely come back with the next service. I would give them a zero rating if I could. My husband and I went to the dealership this past Sunday and couldn't find anyone to help us. The place looked practically empty. While standing in the building a salesman ran right into me without an apology, sorry or anything, trying to get to another couple. When we did find someone we asked where a certain car was he went out the front door, pointed and said over there and went right back into the dealership. Toyota needs to revolt this dealerships license to sell Toyotas. My husband has worked at the Toyota Headquarters for 30 years and we have never had such poor service. Stacy from the Service Department was great! I have worked with her in the past and have never had an issue. Two stars were deducted because I can not figure out for the life of me why I would have to pay $149 for a diagnostic to be done on my battery and alternator when this service is free at all parts stores. It takes no effort or time to connect the device to the positive/negative terminals and push analyze; this is not a $149 value by any measure but a rather obvious cash grab. Yes, I took my car to a parts store for a diagnostic prior and they said my alternator/battery both failed; thus I went to Toyota because I have the Platinum Agreement which covers the alternator (I had to pay extra for this Agreement). I also find it ridiculous that the diagnostic is not included in the service agreement. My total ended up being $387 for the diagnostic and battery replacement. Glad I can afford it, but beware to the other people out there that can not. read more

I called ahead of time for a part (hubcap) for my car and scheduled in advance so this could be ordered and installed I drove 40 minutes on my day off to have the part installed and they told me they never heard of my request When they looked at their records, they saw that I had requested the part and that the person I spoke to on the phone said the part would be here They didn't really apologize but just blamed it in the person who scheduled my appointment They didn't really try to make it right in any way or seem apologetic for wasting my time. ADDENDUM: they sent me a hubcap in the mail and I couldn't snap it on. Now I'll have to make another trip down to have this done read more

Having done a ton of research, I knew the price was fair, so we didn't have to play the negotiating game. Everything was ready when they said it would be. Beware of the "Life Care Plus" lifetime powertrain warranty. When you buy a new Toyota, they tell you that you just have to have your oil changes done there for them to honor the warranty. This is already not how other dealerships work. Now...after we had the car for two years, they told us that we have to have ALL work done there for them to honor the warranty. This includes things like tires or even wiper blades. Imagine that...if you change your own wiper blade, the warranty will not be honored. If that is not bad enough, their prices are much higher than anywhere else. The service manager said that the "Life Care Plus" program is a revenue generator. Since the warranty is not transferable, very few will ever be honored while Beechmont Toyota collects additional profits. Buy your Toyota elsewhere. At best, Beechmont Toyota provides bad information. At worst, they are liars. read more

I am in the market for a hobby/ spare vehicle and they had advertised a 2005 Mustang GT convertible. It was listed as a one owner with extensive service records and even better- in mineral grey metallic just like my previous Mustang! I submitted an online inquiry and received a horribly written, incorrectly spelled response from Ryan indicating the vehicle is available and he instantly took $200 off the price (grammar errors & all). I went in for a test drive the next day and was greeted by Ethan who refused my request to speak to Ryan, saying he is the online sales manager. I took the car out for a spin and detected a few issues. Mind you I used to be a professional auto field claims adjuster and have been wrenching on cars for over two decades. The shifter and gear box were loose. The passenger door panel was completely delaminated. The windshield seal was failing on the driver side A-pillar likely from cowl shake- somewhat common on convertibles. The car still had original tires with over 43,000 miles and need replacing very soon. Also Beechmont digitally edits their photos- the ones listed on their website did NOT have a spoiler on the deck lid but the car was equipped with one. Ethan (face down in his tablet) advised the listed price plus tax and doc fee was the best price. I mentioned I already have an email for $200 less. I offered just $1100 less than their out the door price Ethan quoted me. Ethan proceeded to talk to me like I was an idiot and said I must do business the old fashioned way. He then insulted their largest local competitor and gave me the "I'll have to get the sales manager" line. Out came Steven who shook my hand and seemed annoyed by me even being there. He was very rude and pushy and tried several times (as did Ethan) to run my credit. Mind you I have more than enough cash to buy the car outright across the street at the bank, which was open for the next hour still. I declined to give them my info for credit indicating I wanted to secure the price. He tossed down a paper which was the same initial offer and said "here's where we're at." I maintained my best offer, he stormed off and came back less than a minute later, hand out saying "thanks for stopping by." Shame they prefer to do business in this manner! I dropped off my car the evening prior to a maintenance appointment and planned to pick it up the following evening. The key was not grabbed from the drop box in the morning, so my car went untouched ALL DAY and nobody noticed until I called for a status update. Because of sheer ignorance I was without a car for a second day. This is unacceptable! It is a shame, because I've dealt with some nice people there and the facility is great. When I tried to use it, it was a fight to get a broken shock fixed! The service department is horrible. I dread taking my car there for recalls, etc because the people at the service counters are so rude. They act as though they are being put out if they have to help you. Not very happy, got a 2010 Toyota Sienna in February and a month later I had to replace the windshield because water was pouring into the car. Now today 4 months later I'm back at the auto shop because I have a split tire and they recommend getting all 4 done. So in the past 4 months we are at a tally of 1000! I know it's a used car but seriously! When I called about the windshield they said the would contact my salesman and give me a return call. I never received a call and had to just get it replaced on my own so the water wouldn't ruin the interior. Not a good experience read more

Terrible service department. I have been a long time customer and have always bought my new Toyota's from them, and have referred many friends and family members mostly because of the exceptional treatment I always received from Ron Beheimer. Bought a new 2015 Camry from them and always took it to them for service. When I took it in for a service a few months ago for an oil change, they updated the firmware in my radio, for whatever reason, and it caused my radio clock to no longer display. Twice I have taken this Camry back for this issue and they have absolutely no clue as to what they have done to it or how to repair it. The last visit I was told to come in on a week day so they could get a Toyota tech on the phone to resolve it, and it would take about 2 hours. I took a day off work and took it back and sat and waited 4 hours before I finally went and inquired. The service person was supposed to keep me updated but she did not. They told me they were going to reboot the system and see if that would repair it, as they were unable to get a Toyota tech because the phone systems were down, and it would take another hour. This tells me my car sat for 4 hours with them doing mostly nothing, and when I complained, was told an hour, but I was called in about 25 minutes, which leads me to believe they again did nothing. Well then the shocker, the service person tells me that since Toyota has no record of this ever happening before that I now have to pay for a new radio and labor to install it. I complained to deaf ears that their service department caused this issue they need to resolve it, as It worked fine until they fooled with it. I was told " I don't disbelieve you, but since Toyota has no record of this happening to anyone else we can't do anything". It was obvious that she was done with me, as she handed me the Toyota Customer Care number and told me to contact them. Since they were unable to get Toyota Support on the phone, I am sure that decision came from this dealership and not Toyota. I left as I have a bit of a temper and did not wish to lose it to a service person who quite obviously could care less about customer service, and was acting like I was stupid. 5 wasted hours and a day off work, to be blown off and treated like I was stupid. If I could give this place a negative star I would. Be careful if they want to upgrade your system, you may have the same issue I have, and you will have to bear the cost of their screw up. I have not yet contacted Toyota Customer Care, and I doubt I will. I have a feeling that that's a standard they use to get you out the door when they are done with you. I am thinking about looking into a different option to get this resolved. Good luck to anyone that takes their car there for anything other than an oil change. Response to owner. Your response does nothing for me, and it's a blatant attempt to absolve you from responsibility. I called your service department when that issue happened after I got the vehicle home and reported it. Since it wasn't a huge issue the tech suggested I wait until the next service and I agreed to have it looked at on that next service. The service tech acted like it was just a glitch that could be easily remedied. When I took the car back no one could fix this or had a clue of what to do. It's laughable that the service techs that looked at this agreed that it was the update that caused this, and now your trying to say it was not. Bad business ethics to say the least. Do you think the clock just magically vanished after the update? 3 times I was back with this problem and two of those times it should have been covered by the warranty that was still in effect, if nothing else. Now your stating for this review that it was 12 months later that I came back in with it, and that's just sad and deplorable customer service, and really sad business ethics. You know your service department caused this issue and your refusing to accept responsibility and make it right. Like most dealerships, this one way overcharges for their service. I was told it took a technician an hour and a half to cut two keys and program one key fob. The whole thing should have taken no longer than 20 minutes. Then, I was charged an "environmental fee" of $13. There were NO fluids drained from my vehicle. The only environmental waste was a small amount of dust from cutting the keys. Dishonesty appears to be their policy! read more

My husband have never bought a new car before, and we recently purchased a Toyota sienna from Beechmont Toyota. Horrible experience to say the least. I will never purchase another vehicle from them again. Not only does the car make multiple noises while in idle, the heating vent also makes a rattling noise (it's a brand new car- it should not do this.) We have had to drive from Northern Kentucky to take it to have it checked out two or three times thus far- nothing has been fixed. The windshield is cracked- hasn't been fixed. Thought we got a deal but has been nothing but a waste of time. I will never buy from Beechmont again. read more

Began doing business with Beechmont Toyota 2.5 years ago. Bought a new car and had a great experience with sales, finance, and service. Happy with service center to date. However, I recently started looking into buying another vehicle so of course I head to Beechmont Toyota because I've had pretty good experiences with them. Unfortunately the past two experiences have been absolutely horrendous! Thanks to sneaky, untrustworthy, pushy Mike from sales. So about a month ago I visited Beechmont Toyota to start my search. Interested in a Sienna and Highlander models. Mike walks out and approaches us. Great sure. He immediately begins probing into our socioeconomic status. Asking about trades, money down, credit. Boy that was fast. I was thinking can we see the inside of the vehicles? Maybe a test drive? Oh yeah sure as Mike jumps in the backseat. Still asking financial questions. I would think he might say something like "how do you like it?". "Smooth drive huh?". Nope. Not Mike. Long story short we cut that test drive short. We get back he ask for details about possible trades. Year, make, model, etc. I disclosed the information and Mike tells me he'd be doing me a favor to take my trade. Then followed up with he can sell it for cash to people with a small amount of money but are in need of a car. Said this isn't through Beechmont Toyota though. Then proceeded to ask how much I'd sell it for. WOW. Way too much, super uncomfortable and awkward experience. We quickly left after that shady business. However, decided to return a few weeks later requesting that person that we have done business with in the past. Here comes fast talking Mike. What do you want with Adam? I have a question. About what? Me- A car. Mike-Okay, I'll let him know. They sit do some quiet talk (awkward). We proceed to walk outside to browse vehicles and wait. Then wait a little more. Then just a little more. Well sheesh I'm not waiting any longer so go get in my car and Mike comes out the door and says "Adam is coming". Then walks out (leave it to this guy) and says "Adam is a Manager and don't sell so he'll just hand you off to me. My heart sank. So Adam came out, couldn't hear most of what he had to say because Mike spoke over him the whole time. I was trying to privately request an honest rep. Because I really wanted that pearl Toyota Sienna Limited! Tried to privately request another rep again and didn't work out as pushy Mike didn't miss a beat. Ask for the keys for 108 the pearl Sienna limited My patience were gone when Mike came out with the keys to 107! It was not a limited, did not have the same features, and simply was not what I wanted nor ask for. But that don't matter when dealing with Mike. According to him "there isn't much difference". Never experienced anything like this in my life! Ended sweetly though. Went to Kings Toyota where they had 87!!! Brand new Sienna's to choose from and had such a great experience... and got my brand new Sienna Limited with 0% interest. AND they paid off my 2015 Corolla. read more

Their service department is incompetent. I had my car towed to them because the alternator went bad. They told me it was just a dead battery then release the car back to me. Two hours later I was stuck on the side of the road again. This time I had my car towed to another local Toyota dealership (at my expense) and that service dept. found the problem ( alternator) . Beechmont Toyota tries to not honor their warranty which they sell with the car. Very dissatisfied. You've been warned. read more

We visited the dealership on 082920 after a couple of weeks of looking around for a nice used vehicle. Just prior to our visit, we briefly went to Kerry Toyota and were ambushed by sales reps one of which became pushy and hostile with us when all we wanted was to look around the used car lot. Upon our arrival at Beechmont Toyota, we were approached by Shawn Gabbard, who introduced himself and presented a professional, low pressure approach. He listened intently to our needs and what we were looking for and took us around the dealership to show all possible options. We were fortunate to find our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with under 15k miles! He made the process so easy and pleasant from the test drive to signing the purchasing documents and treated us like family the entire time we were there. The financing team was also extremely easy to work with. We can't say enough nice things about our experience and this exemplary sales associate! Thanks Shawn!
