If you want a local spot with heart and the best homemade pie in the world, stop here. Whatever you order, get the potato salad on the side. Trust me on this! And for the love of all that is holy, get a piece of pie. It might be the best coconut cream pie I've ever had. Our server (was her name Jenny? Maybe?) was incredible and was literally running circles around everyone else working. For real. I assumed she was the owner, but I asked, and she wasn't. I hope they appreciate her because I'm pretty sure she could run the world! What are you waiting for? Go get the pie!!!

Website said breakfast all day. Ordered coffee and orange juice. When drinks arrived and we tried to order breakfast we were told it was too late.(?) Put in order for sandwiches. Thirty minutes later waitress informed us Lincoln chicken salad sandwich wasn't available. From the time we sat on the deck until our sandwiches arrived so they have was a full hour. No joke. I won't be back. Have better things to do than wait on food all day.

The self-serve beers and wine are charged by the ounce, which is different. But, it allows you to try them all for a little investment and then you get what you like. We weren't hungry so we didn't order food. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and sat outside by the creek. Very enjoyable! We decided to return a couple days later and get the pizza. It was Sunday night so it wasn't crowded at all. The two staff members were great to chat with and hear about their lives, friends and how they ended up in South Dakota. It was a great conversation, and I wish those ladies the best. Oh, the pizza.... Very light crust (artisan) and excellent choices. We got 3 different ones and all were very tasty. This is certainly a spot to visit if you're in the area!

Tried the beer cheese soup as a starter and again --- does not disappoint..... We arrived at 1:00 pm and was taken right in.... they told me they can seat 150 and was turning tables as fast as they could.... I tried paying with a CC, but was told no. Thankfully I had the cash... I didn't see a CASH ONLY sign, but might have missed it, or maybe they just don't take AmExp..... I'm going back for dinner tomorrow night....

It was already completely filled in the bar with wait times until 6:30pm at that point. Come early or reserve if you have a big group! There are two dinner options for adults - bacon wrapped steak and a German noodles dish. The bacon wrapped steak was great and also came with a wedge salad. The prices were incredible at about $20 per entree. It does have a strong bacon flavor so you have to be sure to enjoy that flavor. There was a hotdog option for kids and a vegetarian menu. The dessert menu was extension with more than 10 items. I had the napoleon and it was light, airy, and flaky. Everyone was happy with their desserts and the price was around $7 per item. Overall, it was a fun experience with decent food in this small town. I would come back and I recommend you try it!

Sirloin Steak was cooked to perfection, shrimp was awesome, roast beef dinner, and the pasta was sooooo very good. All dinners came with the salad bar and it was plentiful. Kudos to the chef. And upon choosing a table, we were given menus by our server, who didn't have a name tag, so I couldn't reference her specifically, and asked to select a drink. After getting water, we eagerly wait for 15-ish minutes for our waitress to take our order. After placing our order of two burgers, nothing special, we waited patiently for our food. Keep in mind, we arrived at 8:10, 50 minutes before closing. We then waited 30 minutes for our burgers, only getting a light apology after 25. Upon receiving our food, we were FAMISHED, and it tasted good! But I think practically everything tastes good when you're hungry, am I right?!? After GOBBLING our burgers down, we received the check at approximately 9:05, and the waitress was eagerly looking at the screen when we politely left a tip justifiable for the service. I'm one always to tip a server, even if the service isn't the best. At the end, we were sent off with an "okay" and nothing more. I'm not one to complain, but a thank-you would've been nice since we weren't rude to her about the insane wait time. Ultimately, be warned: when you come here, it's a cute place to take family when passing through, but not when you're on a time crunch. In short, the food is pretty good, somewhere between 6/7 out of 10, but the service was very subpar, leaving us with a sour taste in our mouths.
