Spend your entire Vacation Here…read more Stopped in after church Sunday. Were told inside seating was a 45 minute wait but deck seating was available immediately. Took seat on deck outside. Website said breakfast all day. Ordered coffee and orange juice. When drinks arrived and we tried to order breakfast we were told it was too late.(?) Put in order for sandwiches. Thirty minutes later waitress informed us Lincoln chicken salad sandwich wasn't available. From the time we sat on the deck until our sandwiches arrived so they have was a full hour. No joke. I won't be back. Have better things to do than wait on food all day.

If you want a local spot with heart and the best homemade pie in the world, stop here. Whatever you order, get the potato salad on the side. Trust me on this! And for the love of all that is holy, get a piece of pie. It might be the best coconut cream pie I've ever had. Our server (was her name Jenny? Maybe?) was incredible and was literally running circles around everyone else working. For real. I assumed she was the owner, but I asked, and she wasn't. I hope they appreciate her because I'm pretty sure she could run the world! What are you waiting for? Go get the pie!!!

It was already completely filled in the bar with wait times until 6:30pm at that point. Come early or reserve if you have a big group! There are two dinner options for adults - bacon wrapped steak and a German noodles dish. The bacon wrapped steak was great and also came with a wedge salad. The prices were incredible at about $20 per entree. It does have a strong bacon flavor so you have to be sure to enjoy that flavor. There was a hotdog option for kids and a vegetarian menu. The dessert menu was extension with more than 10 items. I had the napoleon and it was light, airy, and flaky. Everyone was happy with their desserts and the price was around $7 per item. Overall, it was a fun experience with decent food in this small town. I would come back and I recommend you try it!

Or just come when you want and hope to get in with only an hour wait. Regardless of some of the advertising there is nothing German about the place except the name. I'm from Chicago where we have a long history of real German food. But nobody comes for that anyway because the menu had like 3 things. 2 sizes of filet mignon which they promote being the cheapest which they are or pasta primavera which was a huge serving and looked decent. Should've opted for the larger one but as we age we just aren't eating that much. The meat was dry and overcooked, Easily the worst filet mignon either of us has ever had. The waitress was not rude though not welcoming or friendly but mostly just slow, both mentally and physically. Something about the area in general is they don't offer much if anything in the way of vegetables with meals. A problem for some health issues. Here we saw a couple order the pasta with 2 steaks and picked the veggies out of it. On the whole a very disappointing experience to end an otherwise wonderful trip.
