LOVE the almond joy sundae. I just wish they'd offer at least 1 low-fat/fat-free ice cream or soft-serve. That's why I'm taking off a star. We live down the street from them & would be there every night if there were some low-fat options. They're super opposed to the idea of offering a low-fat/fat-free ice cream (I've asked). That's the only thing I don't like about this place. They're a little rough around the edges & they make it clear that's it's THEIR way or the highway. Delicious burgers prepared and served by great staff of friendly people. Also, this place makes the BEST onion rings I've had since going to the Hot Shoppes in the 1960's. Thank goodness, they kept their drive-up option open during the pandemic. Just visited this cute, little place today and really can't say enough good things about it! I had a delicious cheeseburger (cooked to your liking) and it was PERFECT and some of their delicious ice cream. My favourite burger spot in Frederick! The burgers are darn good, and the onion rings are divine. Their milkshakes are made from real ice cream! A fun place, ok food, and decent prices. We stopped here after canoeing down the scenic Monocacy River one late afternoon. The eatery has a varied selection, everything from burgers to soup to wraps to seafood platters to ice cream and all the associated desserts. We ordered the standard burger (1/3rd lb. size), sweet potato fries, and coleslaw, with their large fresh-squeezed lemonade. There was a wait, which wasn't a big deal as we weren't in any rush, but the staff did seem short-handed, and I noticed a "We Are Hiring" sign near the window area where you order. The eating area and general atmosphere was fun and relaxed- they set it up like a Margaritaville/beach scene, with all the associated seaside kitsch that one may find on lawns in South Florida. It sort of blends in with the shack-like structure where the cashier and kitchen is. For what it's worth, it makes for a relaxed vibe and a fun kind of place. Our orders came- they announce your name on the loud speaker that was probably retrieved from a defunct bingo hall. The food was decent, but not special- given the setting, you can't expect gourmet meals, but the quality was good. The fresh-squeezed lemonade was very good- I highly recommend it. I didn't order ice cream, but other members of our party did, and they enjoyed it. One of the staff came around to where we were seated (at a picnic table with a jazzy sun umbrella over it) and asked how the meal was- we acknowledged we were pleased, so no complaints about the service. The prices were right too- my platter and large drink were under $15. All in all, pleased with this place. I'll be back. Keep in mind that most of the seating is outside, so if you're thinking about going here, keep the weather in mind. read more

When we Google this location, the Google browser indicates the business is open until 10 pm on Fridays. Had my first meal at Beef N Buns N Paradise (BBP) and it was really good. I ordered the large cheese burger with bacon, lettuce,tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard with a small order of French fries. I must say, BBP served me up the best fries I think I've ever had. If you could picture the perfect French fry, this would be it. They were the perfect sized fry (not the large steak fries or the skinny shoe string style), fried to a perfect golden brown. Slightly salted, so that no other condiments were needed and would actually take away from the real potato flavor. The burger was well prepared and the meat appeared of high quality due to the lack of any grease. the toppings were crisp and fresh. The bun had a firm texture that held the burger together throughout the meal and was coated with "bun dust." overall, a very tasty burger indeed! On a side note, I've read that they serve really good milkshakes. I tried a sample of their vanilla soft-serve ice cream, made with real ice cream, not with that liquid soft-serve mix a lot of places use. They definitely use real ice cream here. No inside inside seating at BBP for YOU!!! Outside picnic tables are provided, but not really an option in the cold winter. You have the option of eating your meal in the car or on the hood. Ashamed to say that although I've lived in the area for over 30 years I had never been here til recently. (Yes, since back when this was Cheeseburger in Paradise.) My mistake! If you're a burger buff and haven't been here you're missing out. I've only had the standard cheeseburger so far but it was fresh, hot, juicy, cooked to my specification and delicious! The decorations are beach style and kitschy, plus there are many amusing signs. You order by stepping inside to the counter. The large menu is posted next to the window. You can wait inside or out and they call your name when the order is ready. If you are outside, you pick up your order at the side window. Overall, a good experience and I will probably visit again to try some different things. The Food Presentation, Overall Rating 3 Since this is basically a carryout restaurant, the food came in individual Styrofoam containers in a bag. Nothing fancy, but adequate, a 3. Meat, Overall Rating 4 I like my burgers cooked well done and the patty was done right, cooked all the way through. It could have used a little more browning on the outside. I do give them credit for using locally-sourced, fresh meat. A good solid burger, a 4. Bun, Overall Rating 4 The bun was a Kaiser roll, split and lightly toasted. When I replied that, yes, it was my first time, she made some suggestions. Since they weren't too busy, one of the men came around to the picnic tables to make sure everything was okay. There was no problem in placing my order. There were LOTS of options, so if someone doesn't want a burger, that's not a problem. It does take a little while to get your order, but they make everything to order, so that's to be expected. The burgers are very good, but there is one catch.. TAKE OUT ONLY & NO Bath room. If you are up for a local burger joint, this is it! Lots of fresh house made burgers, and their onion rings are crisp and delicious. There are many corporate fast food chains around this place, but skip those, and head to BBP, it's worth it. I eat one burger per year (I am not a burger person..), but I am very glad that I had this year's burger at this place! Beef n' Buns n' Paradise has a long history. The first time I went there it was called Cheesburgers n' Paradise, but after a legal dispute with Jimmy Buffet the name was changed. Since that time (I think about 2 years ago) the ownership changed because the original owners retired. Luckily, the food remained as amazing as it always was, and the only major difference I can see is that BBP is open twice as many hours! The restaurant is basically a pick up counter and drive through window (for orders that have been called in ahead of time). Outside there are a bunch of brightly colored tables, some with umbrellas, some without. You can also eat in your car. Every time I go here I get a hamburger. I want to branch out and try some of the other delicious looking menu options, but then I think about how sad I would be to have driven all the way there (about 30 min from my house) and not gotten to eat one of their hamburgers. The hamburgers can come with as many toppings as you want (cheese, bacon, etc are all a little bit extra though). I also love the homemade macaroni salad, and the fries, and the onion rings, and just about all of the sides menu. My one negative would be that they charge you for a cup of tap water, so I usually try to bring a beverage with me when I go here. read more

the food is definitely awesome (except maybe the regular fries - they were not that spectacular). but the wait was SO long that it was almost driving me nuts. the GodFather was really amazing. i've had some great italian subs, but the salt and pepper and the oil and vinegar they put in this sub totally takes it to the next level. maybe they sprinkle some crack in there too, because it's all i've been thinking about since i ate it. burger with crab cake in it was also delightful. tons of flavor. the fish sandwich was also great. tartar sauce with the fish perfectly fried and crispy. oh man. i'm drooling thinking about. steak burger with the onion rings were also good. we added jalapenos for a little more kick. sweet potato fries and onion rings were def the best of the sides. i would definitely come back again, and maybe i'll be more prepared for the wait and not come when i'm already starving.... read more

MY KIDS LOVE THIS PLACE. I had the pit beef sandwich with the Polynesian sauce- it was great. As always the staff is great and lets my kids order for themselves which requires a huge amount of patience as they change their minds in the middle of the order. Great place! read more
