Came here for a drink last night after having dinner. I remember when it was just a small corner bar within Pearlridge Mall, now they got their own place with better seating and they also serve food. Their beer menu is pretty unique, I tried the Hakea and Nene. The Hakea was a nice light beer, goes down easy as well as the Nene. I didn't get to try all the beer as I was full from dinner however, they have a small variety of beer selection. They also sell some shirts, totes, and other items available in the front of the bar. Although I didn't get any food, their food menu looked great, they have non-alcoholic drinks and shakes too! I need to come back and get the whole experience. OKAAYYYY I didn't know what to expect here, but boy was I impressed! First off, the workers (for Beer Lab AND Sistah Truck) are so darn friendly and welcoming I am always grateful for that. They set a great vibe to this place. Speaking of the place, I'd say it's really spacious. They definitely keep you apart from others, so it feels quite safe. I'm sure they could have squeezed in more tables, but they didn't and that's awesome. I like that it's very casual in that you order your food or drinks and they bring it to you, and if you need anything else you just go up and ask. I don't need any tableside service so that's nice. I honestly love this place! The mood, the vibes, the atmosphere! The workers are great. It's such a great place to just kick back and chill. Aside from getting super drunk, my friend said they switch up their beers often!! I drank the hakea which wasn't really that bad but I'm not a beer person. Therefore, I kept the red wine coming. Just like a regular bar you can keep you tab open. For the food orders, you place it on your phone then they'll text you when ready for pick up. It's located at another window, so don't get drunk yet! I just love the way this place is set up! It's like you're outside but you're actually sitting inside, because they have park benches set up too!! My group of friends sat there from around 11:30-4:30 pm and y'all... when I cannot express how sore my culo was the next few days from sitting on that hard metal chair. I didn't even realize how long I was there for. As for parking, I'd say it's a little confusing cause I parked upstairs so it took me a journey and a half to get there. You should park near the CPK area. But not the structures, the lot right in front where they also have the entrances to Chili's. Went here with a few buddies, the beer list is small. They have a separate system to order food, food was Mexican mostly Birria tacos and birria fries. The food came out, didn't get a call text and no one brought it to our table so it just stayed on some platform close to the kitchen. My buddy went to check on our food and saw it just sitting there. This place is much busier than a few months ago! Safety measures being followed. We got the last open table when we checked in. Food was ready in 15 minutes. (It's usually ready in 10 when it's not busy, but this was a Friday evening.) Ordered the Teriyaki BBQ Pork plate with white rice. It was very good! Teri pork may be an ordinary dish but it was very tasty, tender, and didn't taste too fatty. Was supposed to come with Mac salad but came with tossed. But since I had wanted tossed but didn't know how to order a substitute, it was a nice bonus! Also came with some kind of corn with onion (?) side. Not a fan of the corn. Hubby ordered the Korean Spicy Pork Sliders. It was a bit salty but nice and spicy and very good. Plenty of meat. Appeared to be the Teri BBQ Pork with spicy chili oil added. The fast crinkle cut fries were awesome! Super crispy! A tad too much salt when combined with the very tasty slider, but extremely yummy on their own. My first time going to the Pearlridge location located at the old Applebee's. When we arrived, it was pretty busy. We put our names on the list for a table and I think we waited for maybe about 5 minutes. We got seated and one of the workers explained to us how to order food and beer. Beer Lab has a pretty cool collaboration with several food trucks. Sistah Truck, La Birria, and Flyin Ahi. On the day we went, Flyin Ahi was cooking up some yummy food. To order food, scanned the QR code and ordered and paid on phone. We ordered a whole bunch of food like Kalbi fries, fish tacos, blackened ahi salad, Korean chicken and poke. Enough about the food, we came here to have some beer. Our first drink, we all tried Honi Honi. It was guest tap from Paradise Cider. It was a Dragonfruit and Strawberry Cider. Very easy to drink and was one of my favorites. I also enjoyed Chirashi which is an omakase series NE IPA brewed with galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, Mandarina Bavaria, Hallertau Blanc, and mosaic hops. Turned out the restaurant was in the other half of the mall so we came here (we've been here before). I forgot how good the food was. We had a burger with a with great fries and added a side of spicy poke and short ribs. I'll be honest I was suspicious of getting poke here but it was great. At the mall and wanna grab a beer here is the place you need to go. grab a few awesome crafts and leave the mall feeling happy as a clam. I don't even know what that means. There's always two or three new brews on tap so there is never a chance of you being bored of the same old thing happening at most other places. Grab your lunch and bring it there for a beer with your lunch or purchase one of their beef jerky chip bags since they're so awesome for your face. Just don't be that guy that orders the highest percentage beer and walks around stumbling in the mall like somethings wrong with you. Then we will all lose the fun places that we like to go and grab a few. They even have your favorite sports playing on the TVs most of the time so don't delay and go check them out. Strange place. If you like beer & wine, this is a good place. I stopped by because of an article in the Star advertiser's Crave highlighting their food. Otherwise as a non-drinker, I wouldn't visit this place. After fulling out the contact info sheet we were invited to seat ourselves then scan a qr code to order on-line. You pay by credit card and get a text when your food is ready for pickup. One obnoxious thing is a 15% tip is added to your bill. I normally tip for wait service & this place has none. There was no way to order drinks on the on-line menu or even water. Tried to order twice & program refused to accept my order so ended up leaving without trying their food. Very disappointing experience. The staff on duty were helpful but with only 2 people they were too busy to help. read more

sometimes you just want to chill and have a drink, don't you? well we definitely do after such a long week. in between all the holiday shopping this month. we were at pearl ridge and wanted to hang out with some close friends that were home for a couple weeks. we stopped by at beer lab that was conveniently on the side where ross and tj maxx is. they has an easy check-in process. no reservations needed, masks are required, they check for your covid vaccine card (photo copy was okay), and out photo ID. the women who greeted us was very friendly and made a lot of awesome selections to get us started on our first glass of beer. she offered to give us a sample of the beer we were interested in before buying it. we chose a beer that was close to bikini blondes. we found a seat, and then ordered food from their kitchen thru their online website. that night there was birria tacos. they were really good. the hell fire taco were not at all mild. so just a warning if you are not good with spicy food, i wouldn't recommend ordering that. lol. this place is a must try. there are televisions you can watch while sitting, and there are lots of seating area. they also have their own bathrooms, so you don't have to leave the place. this was my 2nd time coming here, and i will definitely come back again. beer lab has such a great atmosphere and an awesome place to be able to hang out and relax. i would have liked this place 10 years ago when i use to work at the mall, and maybe could pre-game before a night out. lolol anyway, if you haven't tried this place you must make this a 2022 bucket list to try. you will def not regret it. read more

(Sorry I've been watching too many Tik Tok reels lately.) Normally when my better half and I go out for lunch, I choose a place where the menu offers something fufu-y to drink. But when the grinds are from a killer food truck, beer on tap is the way to go. The bartenders are great at offering suggestions and will give you a sample or two if you're not sure what to get. We ordered the Mocking Jay, something light and refreshing that complimented our lunch without the heaviness. Flyin' Ahi was the crew in the kitchen today. Begin happy dance. We knew we had to try their famous Kalbi fries - crispy crinkle-cut goodness topped with squiggles of mild wasabi-mayo & teriyaki glaze, a dash of furikake, and a mound of tender, thinly sliced Kalbi finished with a sprinkle of green onions. I truly believe that's what's served in Heaven. We also ordered the HI mixed plate packed full of scrumptious: a mini pork laulau and grilled shutomi (swordfish) over furikaki rice, fresh shoyu ahi poke, mac salad, kimchi, and tossed greens. Seasoned, tossed, and cooked perfectly. Onions in the poke as well as sliced apples & red bell peppers in the tossed salad provided a sweet-n-flavorful crunch, the mac salad had just the right amount of mayo, and the kimchi had a delicate kick of heat. If you've been to any of the other Beer Labs, this place is similar just small and in the mall. Being that this place is literally in the mall, there are lots of parking. It's a small location with about 4 seats at the bar,about 2 sets of tables that seat six and about room for 8 more people to sit at small tables. There are 2 tv screens with whatever sports games are going on. They are located right across Starbucks in pearlridge mall. They have a selection of crafted beers and you have several sizes to choose from. The prices are reasonable as compared to other crafted beer. There is no food here but you are welcome to bring in food from any of the many eating places within the mall. They also have growlers for you to purchase and take home beer. I have to update my review. I still like this place but I think it's a victim of its own success. While it's location in s mall is convenient, the parking situation can be difficult. Other than that, Beer Lab makes a lot of specialty craft beers. A number of these are unique and can't be obtained anywhere else. The problem with this is that if they come out with something interesting or unique and people want to try it, you pretty much have to go there immediately if you want some. Once I went and tried to get one of their new beers, which came out maybe 2 days earlier. I was told they were out and couldn't get any from their other locations either. Recently, I went here the day a new beer came out. Just a few hours after opening they were out. It's frustrating when you come here for a specific beer and they are out so soon after starting to serve it. I don't think they make the same beer multiple times very much, and probably not at all with the unique or specialty brews. It would be great if they'd simply make more. Also, my most recent time, they didn't have any seating when I got there, even though you'd expect there to be seating at that time of day. Still, they have good products and people will continue to go (as they should) despite these problems. read more

I started off with mixed feelings about this place, but quickly grew to love it! I first tried it when they were a kiosk, right between the first and second shut downs. Initially, I didn't care for it as it seemed as though much of the selection were IPA's that all tasted similar. Maybe I was just having a bad day? Maybe they just had limited selection at the time. I've now gone twice since they opened the larger venue and its definitely becoming a favorite! A lot more selection, including sours, and they feature other local brews like the Paradise Ciders. I really enjoy their collabs with local food trucks, I'm over the standard bar fare and want something a little more...delicious lol. I've tried the kal-bi fries from Flyin Ahi and the Birria Tacos from La Birria and both are definite repurchases. I like that they switch things out and have different stuff to try on a regular basis. I will say though, I love Kombucha but the Pineapple weasley was wayyy too strong for me lol - they did warn me in advance though. I was very excited to see that beer lab expanded to hold more people because they have a great selection of beer. This was my first experience at this new location and my girlfriend and I were very excited to try this out. When we 1st arrived we were greeted friendly and advised that there was only one party in front of us, but the wait could not be determined because they do not kick people/groups out. While we were waiting we saw a group getting ready to leave, so we moved closer to the check in to get ready to be seated, HOWEVER they gave the table away to another party. I asked the employee why they were given the table before us when we were waiting long. On their check in/ sign in sheet they write the time when the customer arrives and we were clearly waiting a lot longer then them. The employees responses was, we try to maximize the space with tables since they have to follow social distancing practices. My question to them is if you don't kick customers out or limit their time, who is to say a smaller table would open up quicker then a larger table? While waiting I observed groups of 2 sitting at tables that can seat 4! So is this a policy or were we just snaked because the employee could have known the people? Very disappointed. On a note, my girlfriend observed the female employee hugging the customers that got seated before us. We drove out specifically to try this place out. Ikura and Maguro were tasty! The tater tots were great paired with the beer. The wagyu loco moco was pretty good but what made it was the garlic butter rice. It taste like a garlic shrimp plate minus the shrimp lol. I didn't mind the mozzarella sticks but my husband hated it..And he's a big fan of cheese items so that's saying something lol. There is so many things going on but it's so perfect at the same time. You have your crinkle fries, with some mayonnaise and furikake but the kalbi is wow. It's finely sliced, very convenient to snack on with the fries. I don't know what's in that glaze but it is heavenly. It is addictingly so good. The Korean chicken is perfect. I found the place kinda bt accident. I was out looking for the brewery and wound up at the mall. It is near the food court and is definitely worth a stop if your holiday shopping and need a break. I admit at first I was hesitant about concept when I learned Beer Lab was setting up spot right in the middle of Pearlridge Uptown in a small space across Cookie Corner and Starbucks underneath the escalator. It wasn't until last night that I became a believer. Genki has a 25 minute wait and my best friend and I remembered there being a Beer Lab and so to kill the time we walked over and got a pint! Spoiler alert: it was the best decision of the night. There are possibly 5 seats at the bar and maybe a total of 20~ seats at the tables plus mini cocktail tables. The staff was super attentive, helpful and knowledgeable! Shoutout to Tassiana (sp)! If you know me, you know I love me a good IPA and so does my bf. I got the Hopotenuse IPA and him the Patronous IPA. The hopotenuse has a clear color and tasted brighter than the patronous which had some haze to it. Both equally delicious! Pearlridge is starting to step up its game and Beer Lab is now my #1 deciding factor on coming to the mall. Love you guys! read more
