Service was nice, interior is cute, coffee drinks were tasty. It was a little hard to find, tucked away in warehouses, there's a small plaza with a Jimmy John's sandwich shop. The coffee shop is right next to the hair salon. There were a lot of people on their computers, working/studying on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the Jeju tangerine espresso tonic. It's carbonated and refreshing. I haven't had anything like it. I would get it again. I also ordered the Biscoff latte at 50% sweetness, and that was good too. I haven't tried any of their pastries, but it was cute to try out this shop!
My new favorite coffee shop! The interiors and ambiance of this place is so welcoming. They also have giant uno cards, Jenga, and other games you play while you wait. I love their huge projector screen. So peaceful. The scones are amazing as well. I also love their honey oat coffee. Even better with lactose free alternatives.
Such a cool spot! My partner and I stopped by after a run nearby because we wanted to try somewhere new, and I'm so glad we did. Parking was quick and easy, and the café itself has a really inviting atmosphere. There's plenty of seating, and one entire wall is covered by a massive TV that was playing the World Cup while we were there, which made it a fun place to sit and hang out. For reference, we visited around 11 a.m. on a Tuesday, so it wasn't very busy. The service was great. The employees were friendly, made conversation while we ordered, and even brought our drinks over to our table after we got distracted watching the game. It was a small gesture, but one that made the experience feel a little more personal. They even said goodbye from a distance after we left. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte, and my partner got a Vanilla Latte with cold foam. Both drinks were smooth, well-balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. Personally, I would've liked a slightly stronger espresso flavor, but that's just my preference. I could definitely always just ask for an extra shot! Overall, they were both really enjoyable. This is definitely somewhere I'd come back to, not just for the coffee, but for the atmosphere. It's the kind of place that's easy to spend a while in, and I'm already looking forward to trying more of the menu.
My sister recommended Before n After and we love a good matcha, so we definitely had to try! We ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha & the Boat Latte. Both were so good and definitely recommend. They did have some food/snack items, we didn't try but would love to come back and order. They had seating inside which seems like such a cool place to study or hang out with friends. They have tons of parking in their parking lot, and it was super easy to find. Hope to come again soon!(:

Stopped by Before & After Coffee Shop recently, and the first thing that caught my attention was the name. It's such a cute concept, and thankfully the coffee shop itself lives up to it. The café is located in a larger plaza surrounded by several other businesses, making it easy to find. There's plenty of parking available, which is always a plus. The only thing I'd note is that the parking lot has a lot of turns and connecting sections that lead to additional businesses deeper into the complex. It can feel a little narrow in certain spots, and traffic tends to keep moving, so just be mindful of other cars while navigating through the lot. Once inside, the space felt bright, clean, and welcoming. The menu was easy to read and not overwhelming, which I appreciated. There was plenty of seating available, making it a comfortable spot whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on work, or just enjoying a drink. I originally came in for two drinks that immediately caught my attention: the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha and the Biscoff Cookie Latte. I ended up purchasing both, but since the Biscoff latte wasn't for me, I'll save my thoughts on that drink for a future visit after I've had the chance to try it myself. For this visit, I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha, and the presentation was adorable. They topped the drink with actual Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal pieces resting on the foam, which immediately made me smile, because Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal was a childhood favorite of mine. As for the flavor, it's important to know what you're ordering. If you're looking for a traditional matcha experience where the earthy notes and quality of the matcha are the star of the show, this probably isn't the drink for you. Once mixed, the dominant flavors are cinnamon, sweet cereal milk, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Personally, I thought it was delicious, but it drinks more like a fun dessert-inspired specialty beverage than a classic matcha. If you have a sweet tooth, enjoy creative drinks, or just want something nostalgic and different, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try. The café also has a large screen mounted on one wall, and during my visit it wasn't loud or distracting at all. It actually felt like a nice place to study, work, or have a conversation. I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like later in the day, especially if sports or other events are being shown, but during my visit it was relaxed and comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back. Between the Biscoff Cookie Latte and several coffee options that caught my eye, I already have a reason to return. If you're looking for a cute coffee shop with plenty of seating, easy parking, and creative specialty drinks, Before & After Coffee Shop is worth checking out.
Chill Korean cafe vibes in La Palma. Went for an after dinner dessert. Parking was plentiful in the large plaza. Ordered the strawberry latte and an earl grey scone, and also had a taste of the Korean rice latte. The strawberry latte was pretty good, I think could have used some fresh strawberries along with less preserves, as it was a little too sweet - but didn't mind it overall. The Korean rice latte was also a little on the sweeter side also. The scone was a bit too dry for my liking - so may pass on that next time around. Overall - the vibe is pretty good with the large screen (though wonder how hot it would get in the summer time) - might switch up the scone for a cookie next time though.
Loved the drinks we got! The Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte and Biscoff latte were very flavorful. Throughout the entire drink the flavor held, didn't just taste like milk and a splash of flavor like other coffee places. It was well balanced and will definitely come back to try more!
Before N After Coffee is such a hidden gem tucked into a large strip mall right off the 91 freeway with super easy parking. The space is small but mighty with tons of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it the perfect spot to catch up with friends, work, or just relax with a coffee. Owner Kyle was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better! The lattes were delicious, the bagels were fresh, and the homemade cream cheese spreads are an absolute must-try. Highly recommend the Boat Latte a creamy Biscoff oat milk latte with the perfect amount of sweetness. Seriously one of the creamiest and most delicious coffees I've had in a long time! Cannot wait to come back!!
needed a change of scenery to get some work done so i checked out BNA Cafe last week. I ordered the jeju tangerine matcha latte and it was really good, refreshing and not too sweet. I also grabbed a bagel with cream cheese to snack on while working. The projection walls throughout the cafe were such a cool touch and lowkey reminded me of soarin' at disney ! the space was clean, not overcrowded, and the staff were all really nice too.
Loving this cafe~ The ambiance is super cozy and laid-back--we had the best time just chillin'. I totally loved the mirror inside that looks amazing reflecting the sunset. My niece was craving matcha and it was good. Would've been cool to see a few more matcha options on the menu though. I'm definitely trying that strawberry latte next time. We also had a blast playing some fun games while we were there. It was great family chill time. Oh, and the service was friendly, there's a restroom inside, plus plenty of parking, which is super convenient. Solid 4 for the matcha and a solid 5 for the vibe!
Randomly found this place thru Yelp! We ordered the Jeju Matcha Tangerine, Cinnamon Toast Match, and Kaymak. The 2 drinks were not too sweet, no adjustments needed. The Kaymak was simple, yet super satisfying! The sourdough bread was toasted and still fluffy. The dip, which I think was butter and honey with sprinkles of pistachio, was just right. Our only issue was needing more break . The server was knowledgeable and gave those great recommendations. Service was fast. They had a whole wall with LCD screens that acted like wallpaper and it was beautiful. Highly recommend!!!
This cafe is cozy and has cute atmosphere! They have a large screen displayed but I didn't get a chance to see the Ghibli this time. The plaza was easy to park. The staff was very kind and assisted with recommendations to their drinks. Was feeling adventurous and so tried their Jeju Tangerine Matcha Latte. Surprisingly it mixed pretty well and the tangerine didn't overpower the matcha. Definitely would like to come back and try their other drinks!
The vibes here are immaculate. It is such a cute little cafe with plenty of tables and seating so it's perfect for studying. They have some specialty drinks that looked super interesting but we settled on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch matcha latte. The drink was a good balance of sweet cinnamon flavor with the matcha but the cereal milk flavor became a little diluted after mixing the drink. I could drink the matcha foam on the top though. This is a great little coffee cafe located in the Centerpointe plaza. I loved the modern interior and the cool design. My favorite thing is the gigantic LED display covering one wall. On this visit a winter scene overlooking a city is shown, as seen from a snow-covered balcony, making you feel as if you are there. Snow is falling, actually moving on the screen, as is steam from a hot cup of coffee and a flickering candle. I'm told this visual display changes (not sure if it's daily or how often). I ordered a hot vanilla latte and a chocolate chip-walnut cookie from the small pastry case. I took a seat at a table and my order was brought to me. The fellows working here were very warm and welcoming. The cookie was fantastic and the latte, while initially served a bit too hot for me to sip, ultimately was full-bodied and smooth once it cooled. The atmosphere of this place made me feel quite comfortable. It's truly one of my favorite coffee cafes and I'd likely visit daily if I lived in the area. read more

Friends and I have been seeing this place on TikTok, specifically with an eye on that Studio Ghibli aesthetic! PARKING: Big plaza so tons of parking WHAT WE ORDERED: Korean Pear Espresso Tonic Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha Latte Boat Latte Jeju Tangerine Matcha THE DRINK: I always have my doubts when it comes to places that blow up for their aesthetic, but I have to say, my expectations were very much exceeded! The espresso tonic was refreshing, and the pear flavor was subtle in a way that didn't overpower the espresso. Same with the jeju tangerine matcha and the cinnamon toast crunch matchas. I was nervous the Boat latte would be too sweet and just like any other biscoff latte, but I was super surprised at how much more subtle the biscoff flavor was in a way that complimented the espresso, which also tasted nicely pulled. The drinks didn't come out looking like pretty flowery works if art, but you can tell they put a lot of work into making sure these actually tasted good -- probably some of the best drinks I've had in a bit. SERVICE: Pretty good. It got busy on a Sunday afternoon, so a bit of a wait, but they were definitely working hard on churning out the drinks. VIBES: Good amount of seating and great for chilling with friends, but not my favorite for working/studying. Good drinks and a nice place work, study, or hang out. I came here on a Sunday evening and it was a little crowded. Luckily, I was able to snag a table to work but there is a mix of both regular tables and low top tables. Try to make sure all of your electronics are charged before coming because there are only two regular tables with outlets and one low top table with an outlet. I was able to try a few different drinks and here are my ratings. 1. Korean Pear Espresso Tonic: loved how it was more coffee forward - you can really taste the espresso and the Korean pear puree really balanced out the flavors - not too sweet - very unique and haven't seen this done anywhere else 2. Jeju Tangerine Matcha: I'm honestly not a fan of orange flavored/citrusy drinks but this tangerine matcha was really good - it is on the sweater side so I would recommend adjusting the sweetness - also it's $1 extra to get alternative milk 3. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha Latte: kinda too sweet for me I would rather get the Jeju matcha - I do appreciate the oat milk base though 4. Boat Latte: kinda just tasted like a basic latte - good but nothing special - oat milk as well Parking was great. There's a huge lot in front and the vibes are there. The huge screen playing relaxing scenery was mesmerizing! I saw this place in a viral TikTok, and they even played a Studio Ghibli background at one point. The white furniture makes the big screen more soothing to the eye. I ordered the cinnamon crunch toast matcha latte and really liked it. It reminded me of a matcha horchata, and the cinnamon crunch cereal on top added a nice texture. Not too sweet so it was a good drink for me. The dirty matcha was just okay for me because the coffee overpowered the matcha flavor, but I'm still giving this place a 5/5. The space is incredibly relaxing, perfect for studying, and the barista was friendly and even served our drinks to the table. This is the cutest cafe I've been to. They have a huge screen on the side wall where they play studio ghibli vibes. There's a good amount of seating inside. My boyfriend and I go the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha Latte which is one of their specialty drinks. I thought it was a great combination of cinnamon and matcha. We came 30 minutes before closing so unfortunately we didn't get to try their desserts but that's okay because I'll definitely be visiting again to try their biscoff latte and the matcha macadamia nut white chocolate cookie! read more

This family-owned Korean café serves delicious Asian-inspired drinks. I particularly appreciate that all the drinks I've tried are lactose-intolerant friendly. I've sampled several options, and the Boat Latte is my favorite. I don't usually like sweet coffees, but it's sweet without being overwhelming and still has a strong coffee flavor. If you enjoy espresso tonics or matcha, they offer several unique options that I haven't seen at many other places. The scones and other pastries are made in-house, and I really enjoyed the bagels. You can tell a lot of care and effort goes into the quality of their products. Service is fantastic! The staff are attentive and friendly, and even during busy times, the wait for our orders was never long. First time trying this new spot. Nice to have good coffee places close to home. Coffee shop is absolutely beautiful & ambience is great. Gentlemen who took my order was welcoming & even suggested some of their most popular drinks even made a custom Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced latte. It was absolutely delicious. We also tried the biscoff latte and honey oat latte. All 3 coffees were delicious. I also ordered all 4 Scones ube, earl grey,butter & blueberry. All scones were delicious & house made how much better can this get. We also tried the jalapeno cream cheese bagel. Delicious Place is great, coffee and pastries are delicious. I can not speak highly enough of this establishment. The owner himself greeted us and talked with us. The staff are very friendly will make you feel right at home. Such a yummy new Korean cafe in the area! The cafe is located in a plaza with lots of available parking and easy accessibility onto the sidewalk from the car. The interior is bright and cozy with lot of space to sit and chat with friends or study / do work. We tried all 3 signature drinks (cinnamon toast crunch matcha, Korean pear espresso tonic, boat latte) and all were delicious. Most people seem to favor the boat latte! We've also tried the jalapeño bagel, Asiago bagel, blueberry scone, and butter scone. My favorite is the Asiago bagel with garden veggie cream cheese and you can't go wrong with either homemade scone. Service was great and it's nice to see the whole family working together to operate the cafe. I highly recommend checking this spot out! read more

Great cafe with good service! I had some questions about the drinks and they were very patient when explaining their menu. I really enjoyed the cinnamon matcha latte, the flavors blended really nicely. I typically don't get oat milk in my drinks, but it complimented each other very well. I made sure to eat the cereal first so it didn't get soggy! There were a decent amount of tables for work or chatting with people. Plenty of parking made visiting convenient. The cafe was smaller than I expected, but they still had decent amount of seating. There is a big screen playing a video and while it's a bit pixelated, it adds a unique touch to the cafe's atmosphere. The staff was nice and patient as we made our selections. I tried Misutgaru Latte and Cinnamon Toast Matcha Latte. The drinks were OK, but nothing was particularly memorable and the Matcha Macadamia Nut White Chocolate Chip Cookie was a bit drier than I prefer. Despite that, I would return to try other items on the menu. read more

What I got: Boat latte (Biscoff) Ube matcha latte Chocolate chip cookie with walnuts Ube with pistachio cookie I love this New Korean Cafe! First of all the drinks and pastries were soooo goooooood! I super love everything that I got. I was tired from work and needed a pick me up, stop by this place and did not disappoint! The drinks taste soo delicious, perfect balance of sweetness and strong of tea. I super love the Ube matcha latte and Biscoff latte. The pastries are always fresh and cooked every morning from the owner. The vibe is soo chill, very aesthetic! The ambiance, the kindness, the joy... it all makes this place feel special every time. The service is always amazing! The big screen sets such a cool, relaxing vibe -- it's one of the reasons we love coming here. And their vanilla latte? A gorgeous blend of coffee and vanilla that feels like a hug in a cup. My new go to spot!! I was recommend this place through TikTok and it did not disappoint! I discovered it's only 5 minutes from my work and have been coming back at least once a week since. Their drinks are so delicious. The Boat latte isn't too sweet despite which is how I prefer my coffee. My coworker got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch matcha which actually taste like the cereal which she's super impressed by. The staff are always super friendly and attentive. I was being super indecisive the first time I came and they were patient and helped me pick out the drink I was happy with. It's a chill spot and perfect for hanging out with friends or to do work. The first time we came, my friend had been raving about this place and we got the boat latte. Unfortunately, it was super sour so we called back and they refunded us and offered our nxt drink on the house. That kind of customer service goes a long way. We decided to give them another shot and I'm so glad we did. The boat latte was the best biscoff latte I have ever had. It was rich, smooth, and delicious. The interior is super cute, but the real star is the huge scenic widescreen wall that makes the whole space feel calm and immersive while you're hanging out or getting work done. Great place to chill for a bit. The Aloe-Ha (sparkling aloe vera + coconut water) was super refreshing -- light, slightly sweet, and perfect if you want something hydrating but still fun. Paired it with their matcha cookie, which was delicious. Came back a second time and tried the Jeju Tangerine Espresso Tonic -- bright, citrusy, and carbonated with that coffee kick that definitely kept me going during a work session. Wifi is solid, service was friendly and welcoming, and overall it's just a great little café to hang out, snack, and get some work done. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a coffee date with my cousin, and we had the best time! We were greeted warmly the second we walked in, and the entire staff was incredibly sweet and personable. Great energy, cute decor, and a perfectly laid-back atmosphere. Seriously, the service here is amazing! We tried the Boat Latte, the blueberry scone, and the ube scone. The ube scone was easily my favorite, though both were great. We also treated ourselves to the Maymak, which was absolutely delicious. It was so light and airy, you can really tell it was made with love and care! Before leaving, I grabbed an Aloe-ha drink to-go, and it was the perfect refreshing finish. Early morning my daughter wanted a milk tea and we found this place tucked in the corner of a small center in la Palma. When you walk in they have a large video screen playing beautiful scenery. While waiting for my order I sat in one of the many chairs that are set up for groups to hang out. My daughter found some games they have set up along the wall which i would definitely come back to play eat and drink with friends or my kids. The gentleman that took our orders was very nice and helpful with helping decide what to get. They have so many delicious combinations of drinks I wanted to try them all. I had a decent afternoon at before n after. It was a rainy day so felt nice and cozy. I ordered the pear espresso tonic and it was really good! I wish they had simple syrup to sweeten it a bit (all they had were syrups that don't mix well with a cold drink). The workers were very kind and lovely. And the large LED screen had a cozy animated cafe on it. I'm docking off two stars for the following. First at the register there was a sign that says "Proud Supporter of La Palma Police Department." That was off putting and I won't be back so long as that is there. Second, the cafe has those cheap, awful metal chairs that are very uncomfortable to sit on. That's always a sign to me that low cost is more important than comfort and aesthetic. I wouldn't dock this for a cafe that is lower in budget, but based on the other decor and investments in design, these were off putting. B read more

We ordered the Biscoff Oatmilk Latte and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha Latte. Both drinks were smooth and rich in their flavor. I love Biscoff cookies, and the drink was very solid. The matcha latte tasted as you would expect like cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk, which was great. My best friend enjoyed it. This is a great place to get coffee, tea, or desert. Nice service, too. And the cafe has a huge screen that sets nice ambiance. I ordered Jeju Tangerine Espresso Tonic and it was very refreshing and delicious. Highly recommend to try this place!!! read more

The cafe is so cute!! Love the ghibli theme they are going for. Service was great! The cashier was super sweet and inviting. The cafe is cute and small. We came here around 3:30pm and it was packed but still enjoyable. We got the cinnamon toast crunch matcha latte and a vanilla cafe latte. Drinks were tasty! I visited Before & After yesterday with a friend and we ordered two of their specialty drinks: the Cinnamon Toast Matcha Latte and a Biscoff latte. The Cinnamon Toast Matcha Latte tasted good at first, but as I continued drinking it, the flavor became unpleasant. The cinnamon cereal and matcha combination started to taste similar to spoiled milk, and the matcha flavor itself was barely noticeable. It was enjoyable for the first few sips, but the taste declined quickly afterward. My friend ordered the Biscoff drink (I don't recall the exact name). It was decent, but it did not taste like what was described on the menu. The listed flavors were not very noticeable, and overall it tasted more like a standard mocha latte that you could get at many other cafés. On a positive note, the café's interior is very clean, cute, and aesthetically pleasing. However, the space was quite hot during our visit, and it did not feel like there was adequate air conditioning. This new spot has so much potential--I I'm excited to watch how they develop. Giving 4-star, for now, with the hopes it will soon be changed to a 5-star. The massive wall LED display completely transforms the space, and the friendly, responsive team (including the welcoming owner) makes you feel like a regular right away. They offer a great selection of coffee and tea; I tried the boat latte on my first visit and look forward to working my way through the menu. One suggestion: add savory options to balance the sweets. All I can say is WOW!! My husband and I dropped into Before n After for some coffee after driving in from AZ. It's a cute little coffee spot with ample seating and the coolest floor to ceiling LED screen where they play different relaxing scenes (they were playing some Studio Ghibli while we were there!). If I lived nearby I would definitely stop in to study or work since it's such a cute vibe. Now onto the drinks and food. I got the biscoff oat latte and my husband got the Korean pear espresso tonic. My drink was perfectly creamy and sweet but the pear espresso tonic was like nothing we've ever had before. It was soooo good with a little fizz and delicate pear flavor! I definitely recommend giving it a try. For food we tried the everything bagel with garden veggie spread, butter scone, and chocolate chip cookie. The bagel and scone were definitely the stars. Such a delicious, flavorful spread and my husband and I agreed that the butter scone was the best we've ever had. I'm not usually into scones and I can honestly say this scone has forever changed my mind! The owners are so sweet and the service was excellent. It's a family owned spot which we love supporting. If you're on the lookout for a new coffee spot I highly recommend Before n After!! read more

First time here and I had a great experience! The customer service was excellent, there's plenty of seating, and the décor is really nice. The coffee was good, and I especially enjoyed the butter scone. They also have a wide variety of other items to choose from. I'll definitely be coming back to try more! read more
