This is a cozy and chic restaurant! Parking is a bit limited on the lot but you can park on the street. The staff is friendly and interior is beautifully decorated. Started with a pomegranate margarita to drink. For entrees we got mixed shawarma and kofta kebab. Finished the meal with knafe. Pomegranate Margarita- The base is strong with a refreshing pomegranate flavor. It has just the right amount of sweetness with a hint of tartness. Mixed Shawarma- It comes with chicken and beef shawarma. Both are tender and flavorful. It comes with warm pita bread, fattoush salad, and garlic and tahini sauce. The salad offers a freshness that complements the rest of the items. The sauces are perfect on the meat. Kofta Kebab- You get ground beef kebab that is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Pairs well with basmati rice and fattoush salad. You get a tasty yoghurt sauce that ties the flavors together. Knefe- This is a delicious dessert that comes with gooey cheese on a shredded phyllo base that is nice and crunchy. Finished with a sweet honey and rosewater syrup and a sprinkle of crushes pistachios. Great experience overall!

Yalla Yalla you'll want to run over and check this place out. It is nice to have an authentic LEBANESE spot in the area! From food to decor my Lebanese GRANDMA was taken back to her roots. From the Thyme to Eat menu: I highly recommend the ZAATAR bread and CHEESE bread. I wasn't the biggest fan of the meat bread option but I think that comes down to preference. From the Bei menu: I loved the FATTOUSH salad which was beautifully presented. It was encased in a perfectly crisped piece of Arabic bread, which presented a break open concept for a fun surprising twist. I will be back with my grandma to try more from the menu!

Great food, service, and ambiance! We went with the tasting menu for a group of 4. The cold/hot mezze platters were delicious and the meats were great. Our server, George was very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Came here with friends for a birthday celebration. We had a belly dancer and a DJ - playing music and dancing. They have small area for dancing. Service was really bad because we didn't get our drinks that we ordered and we didn't get water that we ordered. Many of us had to ask the servers for couple of times to bring the water and utensils to eat dinner. There were about 5 or 6 appetizers in small portions and we shared the plates of chicken kebabs, lamb kebabs, and beef kebabs. Rice came with the order. It was a family style dinner and we all shared the foods that we ordered. Appetizers included some salads and vegetables dishes and fried cheese sticks. Cocktail drinks were okay but pricey. Great place to hang out with friends with music, dancing, and hookah. It would have been a good rating if service was improved.

We came here for our Valentine's date on a Monday to avoid the crowd, and it was perfect. The setting is beautiful -- intimate lighting, roses on the table, and a great atmosphere. AJ took amazing care of us. He let us pick our seats, turned on the heater, and gave great recommendations from the hookah menu. We ordered the chicken shawarma and steak shawarma, and everything was high quality and absolutely delicious. The food does take a little time to come out, but it was 100% worth the wait. We also had the pomegranate margaritas -- beautiful presentation and amazing flavor (we ended up getting two). We cleaned every plate. Great service, great food, and an overall great experience. We'll definitely be back.

so good. lamb chops in the shared meat plate absolutely blown my mind away. i will be thinking about this restaurant and bringing all my friends and family! service was really nice and offered us more pita wraps and additional sauce. i really liked the garlic sauce as well. the fattoush salad was so fresh and paired well with the meat so it didn't feel too heavy. very upbeat place that's great for hangouts and there's a DJ right in front playing groovy house music. it was a unique and delicious restaurant that i will be coming back for sure

I booked a huge family dinner for Martin at Bei for his birthday -- I'd be wanting to take him here for forever because it's his favorite cuisine -- and I was so happy that it didn't disappoint! Everyone had such a great time! Loved the beautiful atmosphere -- feels very date nighty! Even with our large group, service was impeccable -- so friendly and attentive! And the food -- amazinggg! If you have a party over 6 (we were 18) they give you a select menu to choose from that guarantees you more than enough food for everyone. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was super flavorful and fresh. Standouts were the juicy chicken kebab and all the side dishes to dip the pita bread in like the spicy hummus, labneh, and kibbeh nayyeh. Definitely our new fav Mediterranean spot and the perfect place for a family get together or celebration. We'll be back soon!

Upon arrival there is a small amount of parking in the back. We had an early reservation at 530pm. They have a cute patio area intimate for a date or family dinner. Very cute vibe in here. They have alcoholic drinks and mocktails. They start off serving you pita chips with a sauce (idk what it was called). My friend loved it. We started with a hummus appetizer. The hummus tasted good and fresh. I wasn't a big fan of the pita, it had a whole wheat flavor to it. It wasn't bad, just not my preference. I ordered the strawberry crush mocktail IT Was SOO GOOD. And my friend ordered herself the cucumber mocktail and she loved it!! We then ordered the bei kabob platter. My favorites were the chicken, ribeye kabob and the lamb chops!! Delicious. I also loved the salad and whatever sauce they put on the pita chips was amazing. The salad was well balanced with a variety of flavors and freshness. The babaganoush was SO good and all the other sauces on the platter was too. The pita served with the platter had this spicy garlic sauce inside and it was To die!!!! Sooo goooood! Ended our night with baklava. It was a bit too sweet for me. Service was good. The servers here are attentive and sweet. Good looking too if I may add, and very professional! Shout out Oscar!! They told us that on weekends they have belly dancers, djs, singers, etc. and it usually starts around 8pm. They also have hookah for about $40. We didn't get any because we had to leave for our next plans. We will be back for the fun performances, cute vibes and delicious fooood!!

Arrived for 7:45 reservation for four on Saturday. Was sat and then waited for 30 minutes with only water and still no one took our order. Not even drinks. Got up and left. They had a huge party there and only two waiters. Was super loud. The food looked great though. I would be open to trying early on a weekday to see if anything changes. read more

Had the most amazing authentic Lebanese cuisine here. It's hard to find restaurants with quality ingredients just like in Lebanon's BEI really sets the standard for Lebanese cuisine in OC. Just ate here for the first time and loved it! The ambience is super cute and the food is great. Went there with my husband and our two sons and my 4 year old absolutely loved the sambousek and asked if we could come back again tomorrow and order ten more. The staff was very nice and everyone's food was great. We loved the spicy potatoes and my husband got the chicken shawarma and I got the chicken kabobs and both were delicious. This restaurant has such delicious food. The baba ghanoush I could eat by the bucket. I also tried the ribeye kebabs which were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. The Lebna was such a fun treat to have before dinner. Highly recommended. I literally ate almost everything, so ordering dessert just put me over the edge but I couldn't resist. The homemade kenefe and baklava were so good I really enjoyed this restaurant. It's small and intimate and the owners are super nice and welcoming. I'll definitely be returning to eat here. Tommy was fantastic, as was all of the food. We tried the potatoes and the combo entree for 2. Came with all the meats- lamb, filet mignon, kafta & chicken along with hummus, salad, saffron rice and pita. Garlic and yogurt sauce complimented the lamb shanks perfectly. The heating lamps and covered outdoor patio was warm with the heating lamps and the lighting was beautiful. Thank you! We ate at Bei earlier today. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious. I had the lamb chops, there was a piece of pita that had filling in it, It was really good. We also had Lentil soup, muhammara, Eggplant salad & spicy hummus. All were delicious. I tried the Knefe dessert. I enjoyed it. It reminded me of a sweet corn bread which was the breading part and it contained cheese. So good. Best part, they serve Turkish coffee.. I love Turkish coffee.. I recommend not to use sugar to get the full flavor of it.i read more

Delicious food! All the meat is halal!! They also have a vegan plate which is lovely. My husband and I came out here last night. The ambiance once inside is nice and chill, perfect for date night with romantic music playing in the background. There are heaters so it's nice and cozy. Our server, Rolan (?), was very attentive. To start they served a z'aatar with sesame seeds in oil with pita chips. My husband ordered the shawarma hummus which is hummus with beef shawarma that comes with pita bread. That itself was delicious. Then he ordered the chicken kabob plate and I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and both were delicious! It was cooked just right, soft and it came on a bed of salad with fattouche, hummus, rice and garlic sauce. For dessert we ordered the baklava and Nutella cookie. The baklava was on a heated plate, cut into six pieces with pistachio crumbs on the plate, so warm and crispy! read more

Finally a nice Mediterranean dine in place in Costa Mesa with beirut vibes all over it! The place is a covered patio with heaters good music and nice decoration. The menu has a lot of varieties and the food was exceptionally delicious. The Service was the cherry on top as well, very attentive servers and food came out quickly and it was fresh. Will definitely be back for more I can't wait for them to have some alcohol as well read more

Found this restaurant very randomly, but we were so glad we came in. Besides the amazing and authentic Lebanese food, Bei was equipped with great and very knowledgable staffs. First time going to this restaurant. I came across it on searches for Halal food. The outside is deceiving, the inside is cozy, great ambiance. The food is delightful! Excellent presentation. Everything, everything exceeded our expectations! Delicious food and cocktails (lamb chops were exact!) Server was kind, knowledgeable, humble, and warm. We felt as if the staff had been waiting for us to arrive. Dining room is best described as joyful. Warm and comfortable citing. Most authentic amazing Lebanese food I've had! This place covers it all, from the food to the service to the beautiful ambiance! We had an incredible dinner today at Bei restaurant. It's very hard to find good Lebanese food in Orange County and this place finally does it right. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and presented perfectly. The ambiance was a perfect vibe. Light music and has an indoor/outdoor feel at the same time. Lastly, to top of off the service was superb. Everyone was super courteous and our food came out and was served promptly. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back! read more

I usually take photos of my food..... well this time it looked and smelled so good that I didn't even think about it. The food is so delicious!!! Everything was amazing. Only thing is that they don't have their beer / wine license. We were told that permit is in process. We ordered the ribeye kabob and the chicken kabob plate. You will not be disappointed read more

This restaurant is as much Lebanese as I am from china, I went there on the recommendation of my friend although I am Lebanese born and bread this restaurant had nothing to offer , lentil soup had more rice in it than uncle Benz, ( no taste) shawarma is made in the oven and had no taste what so ever no spices nothing , Kibbeh came out dripping with fried oil , I broke my tooth bitting on the so called chicken of the skewer, I asked if the chef is Lebanese they said the owners are but not the chef, not an apology for breaking my tooth , everything is fried , please please stop calling it a Lebanese restaurant because nothing is close enough to the Lebanese food . We Came here after seeing blow up on IG and it did not disappoint! The ambiance and decor is so pretty and the food is incredible!!! As someone who loves Lebanese food was perfectly seasoned and it tasted authentic!! From the kibbeh to the grilled meats... AMAZING! If you're Arab/middle eastern you're going to love this! This is our first visit to BEI and we were very impressed. The server was so attentive and took time to explain how we can enjoy our food. He even brought out a sample for us of the dip we inquired. Can't say enough good things about this place!!! The best and most authentic Lebanese food I've had in SoCal. Upon walking in we were greeted with smiles and seated in this beautiful space with authentic Lebanese art. The owner and Eryck came by and gave us suggestions of what to order and explained each dish to us. All their suggestions turned out to be AMAZING! Food was super flavorful, top quality, and the portions were more than plenty. I will definitely be coming by more often to have this delicious healthy food. Super close to South Coast Plaza which makes it perfect for a place to dine after a long day of shopping! read more

Walked in this restaurant on a Friday night. Staff was so accommodating and welcoming. We ordered the BEI platter for two people. The food was delicious! We stumbled upon this hidden gem one night and were not disappointed! The food and ambiance was incredible. We had the sampler appetizer and also the sampler meat dish. The lamb was to die for and the meat was tender and juicy. They started us off with authentic zaatar from Lebanon that was so incredibly flavorful. And it is also quite addicting. Bei is a full-service dinner concept focusing on Lebanese dining in Costa Mesa, California. Bei is distinctly Lebanese. Short for Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, Bei offers guests authentic char-grilled kebabs (chicken, meat, & lamb), shawarma, and a variety of hot & cold mezze (appetizers). Bei boasts an elegant and inviting ambiance meticulously designed to create a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The fully-enclosed (glass all around), heated patio allows for a great experience with an indoor/outdoor feel. I usually recommend a max party of 4 but cool to see they could now accommodate a group of 9 in the back room without issue. They take reservations in advance and walk-ins may go on a wait list. It's great so that each patron/party has a comfortable, undisturbed experience. It's not a crowded, loud, or messy type of bar. Love that they initially provide us with water before we order. Old Fashioned was fragrant and smooth. Orange peel scent was pleasantly present throughout the drink - they used a spray instead of zest - impressive! My partner prefers his whiskey with stronger flavor than the default Makers Mark though he might ask for a different whiskey next time. *RATED 8/10 Fuzzy Navel was sweet and flavorful just as I like it. Major points for the foam being vegan-friendly as is. The foam texture is fun and very peach forward. Would order again. *RATED 10/10 Cheong Soda (price unlisted on the menu) was a nice finishing, non-alcoholic drink to sober us up. Seating can be tricky, especially for a group, but once you're situated it's a great place to just hangout and enjoy the company of whoever you're with while enjoying some good drinks. She was rude and came off really disrespectful, and at one point said things that felt degrading. It made my boyfriend so uncomfortable that he actually left and went outside just to get away from it. Instead of calming things down, she got more aggressive and tried to intimidate me and my friend into leaving. She straight up told us to go and wouldn't even let me finish my martini. I had a long week and just wanted to relax, and that moment felt so unnecessary and frustrating. We still love Kitsch Bar, but that experience with Sofia was not okay and definitely left a bad impression. Hopefully it's not something others have to deal with.

**Review of Bei Kebab: A Disgraceful Dining Experience** I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant in my life. My recent visit to Bei Kebab was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The ordeal began with our appetizers, which took an eternity to arrive. After an agonizing wait, the server casually informed us that they were ready. Instead of bringing them out, he vanished for about ten minutes to review our order. When he finally returned, he had the audacity to ask for corrections! Seriously, how about serving us the appetizers first before wasting our time? It was infuriating and completely unacceptable. When the appetizers finally graced our table, we were handed an additional plate as some sort of consolation for the delay. The server smugly declared that it was a gesture to make up for our wait. So, like any reasonable person would do, we began to eat what was served to us. Imagine our shock when the manager returned a mere ten minutes later, scolding us for eating the extra plate, which, according to him, wasn't actually meant for us! Are you kidding me? In what world are diners expected not to eat food that is placed in front of them? We were explicitly told it was ours, yet somehow we were made to feel guilty for enjoying a meal we believed was given to us out of goodwill. It's absurd! The experience only worsened when the bill arrived. We were slapped with an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of six, even though only five of us actually ate. When I pointed this out, the manager had the gall to argue with me, asking how they were supposed to know. Well, I don't know, maybe because you took our order and saw that one person didn't order a single thing? Instead, he insisted that this individual ordered a glass of water. Really? We're being charged gratuity because someone had a water? The entire situation felt like a pathetic attempt to squeeze more money out of us. And when I expressed my concerns about the high prices, especially for such lackluster food, I was met with guilt trips about not wanting to tip appropriately. If I'm being charged nearly $30 for chicken and rice, I'm not exactly feeling generous! To add insult to injury, I was also charged $0.50 and $1.00 for hot sauce and tahini. While it may not seem like a lot, it's the principle of the matter. If you're running a restaurant, you should inform customers about such charges upfront. And let's not forget the manager's continued insistence that we didn't have to pay for the extra plate. Yes, because you served it to us and told us it was ours! The logic here is baffling. In the end, we left a tip despite the horrendous service, and to our utter disbelief, we were told, "You're not welcome back." What an insult! We were treated like children simply because we questioned your questionable practices and terrible food quality. The sambousas had zero flavor, and the overall dining experience was dismal. I can confidently say that I 100% DO NOT recommend Bei Kebab to anyone. If you value your money and your time, steer clear of this establishment. My experience certainly doesn't seem to be an isolated incident, as evidenced by the other scathing reviews. Avoid at all costs! read more

The restaurant's interior is beautifully designed, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for guests especially all the candles! The food was exceptional, with standout dishes like the lentil soup, which was rich and flavorful, the hummus, which was creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the knafeh dessert, which was literally the best knafeh I have ever had. Lastly, all their meat is Halal, which is such an amazing perk. I also want to mention how wonderful it was to work with Rolland, the owner. He was incredibly accommodating and ensured that everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend Bei for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The chicken kebab I ordered was overcooked, resulting in a burnt exterior and an unpleasantly bitter flavor. Additionally, the rice served as a side was overly watery and lacked seasoning, further detracting from the meal. While the restaurant's ambiance was touted in the photos, the reality was less impressive. The combination of loud music and the noise from Harbor Blvd. traffic made for a less-than-ideal dining environment. I also found the prices to be quite high considering the setting, which felt more like dining in a decorated parking lot than a thoughtfully designed restaurant. I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. First, they forced a gratuity of 20% on our bill for a party of 6 without informing us at the beginning, which felt excessive and unfair, especially given the poor service we received. The waiter was rude throughout the evening. They even refused to let a family member take a single puff from my hookah, citing some ridiculous rule about sharing it with only two people, this was completely unnecessary and petty. On top of that, the food was overpriced and mediocre at best. We paid over $300 for 6 people, and it was far from worth it. It was beautiful inside, but other than that your food needs to be improved and no I wasn't trying to recruit you employee since I don't need one and yes, he was a wonderful guy, but no don't need a waiter thank you thank God for that don't need to slave myself to a restaurant. Bei brings the Beirut dinning experience to Costa Mesa and we needed something like this. Many fast casual places around but nothing this nice in Costa Mesa or surrounding areas. We needed this.
