tried this spot a while back, it's actually a sweet lady who makes them from her own home! the process is easy: you order on her website, pick a time to come grab them, and pick them up! upon driving up to her place, I noticed there was a lot of street parking in the neighborhood so that's good. I waited maybe like 10 minutes outside but I understood, she's a busy woman I don't mind and still had time to get to work. she brought them out and was very kind, very nice energy. the beignets themselves were super good and I got them with strawberry jelly on the side. I had a someone from my work try them who was familiar with the real ones from New Orleans and they said these were very close to being like the original ones! read more

Personally was a decent experience in terms of ordering and receiving. Two stars for being fast. I ordered it at 3 and scheduled the pickup for 3:30. We got the beignets at 3:45. However I put in an order for chocolate sauce and got caramel instead. Taste wise, the only thing making this beignet sweet was the powdered sugar and there barely was any. ( the picture was taken within 5 minutes of receiving them) It just tasted bland. No flavor. Wouldn't recommend for someone looking for beignets similar to the ones in New Orleans. Delicious beignet, and absolutely worth the deal you get on Groupon. You have to purchase the sauce separately. They are light and fluffy, although the size and filling are not all uniform - but that's how you know it's homemade. The label and website is beautiful. Although I wish there were instructions on how to warm them up for later - maybe I missed it. Chocolate sauce: decadent and dark, not too sweet. Strawberry preserve: good, and tart. 2-3 sauce containers are enough for a dozen beignet. Service: the baker was super friendly and nice Parking: there is no storefront. Drove around expecting a storefront, finally called them to find out it's a home operated business! Walked up & rang the bell to meet very pleasant folks. Got 6 beignets for $23 which is expensive I'd say but hey they are the seller & it's their prerogative. Some of the beignets had fluff in them & some were hallow! I liked the fluff. Had a side of strawberry jelly & a side of chocolate in a typical tiny sauce cup for $1 each. We got a 1/2 order because we weren't sure how the beignets were going to taste. I'd rather order less but want more versus order too much and either not like them or get sick of them. However, ordering a half dozen proved to be a mistake ... we def should have gone with the dozen. My niece loved them so much! It was adorable. She kept wanting more and more! I mean, can you blame her? After all, they are covered with powdered sugar! Can you say YUM! My brother-in-law wanted the marmalade and chocolate sauce to accompany his beignets but they were out of both, so, he settled with strawberry. Not certain if he dug it or not, but he did finish his beignets. Lol. You can only order online. You can choose to pick it up or have it delivered. We just went to pick it up. We never been to the Hawthorn location but we had a chance to try beignets and puff puffs at the tent at the Jollof festival downtown LA. I never had them and I was blown away. Those guys are the pinnacle of donut evolution! Loved the sugar powder and blueberry/chocolate syrup read more

These are the best beignets outside of New Orleans without the long lines and wait time. I have been to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, and these fluffy, delicious, bites of heaven are as close as you will get to them without traveling to Louisiana. It is worth the drive no matter where you live in Southern California. This person knows her beignets!!! Sauces cost extra. After a beignet craving moment I was on a hunt to find something local and was delighted Begnets Du Monde popped up. I came on yelp read reviews and was sold. I made my order the following day and loved every bite of it. My family enjoyed them as well. We chose the pick up option and the item was still warm when my husband arrived home. I read a review saying he regretted not ordering the French Quarters Dozen, so I ordered that one and omgggg I'm so glad I did. Bought it early morning for my coworkers. They were nice and hot and everyone LOVED them. Some of them asked where I got it from and I sent them the info for this place. So someone on the nextdoor app actually tagged this business and New Orleans is my husband and my favorite place to visit. I would get up early and drive over to cafe du monde almost every morning of our vacation and grab some beignets and coffee. So when a neighbor said we could get some fresh delivered ones on our doorstep I said why the heck not! I love supporting local businesses. Last night I hoped on their website and boom first thing in the morning we had beignets and complimentary cup of coffee. This was during covid times so to get a sweet surprise like this for my husband when he woke up was priceless! Since then i find myself ordering a box on special occassions and following her on instagram. I drive to her home off the 105 and bring home a fresh box. Her chocolate sauce is so good! My kids Enjoy when mom is getting a craving and feeling wild, lol. Her place is very clean and easy to get to. We stopped by on new year for our free beignet and her cute little pop up booth in front was very inviting. She is always sweet and courteous to us and I recommend her time and time Again! read more

I almost wish I didn't discover this place. The first time I had beignets was at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans and it's not something I see a lot, so I accepted the fact that the only place I would ever have good beignets was in New Orleans. But I stumbled upon this place on Yelp, placed an order for a dozen classic beignets with assorted toppings, and less than two hours later a friendly face delivered them to my front door. They were still warm and smelled delicious. We had a few and then begrudgingly put them away because it was dinner time. We reheated them the next day in both the air fryer and oven, but I like the oven ones better. I'd definitely order again. read more

Not as light or airy as Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, but still super yummy. I scarfed one down in a minute and could've probably eaten another three except I didn't want to spoil my dinner. I love beignet's and wanted to try this place because it is close to home. I ordered 6 of them and paid $17.63, which is fine because I love my desserts. I opened the box up on the way home because I was anxious to try them and they were luke warm at best to the touch. When I bit into the first one, it had NO dough on the inside! There was literally no dough on the inside, you could fill the inside with anything if you wanted it was so dense. I mean every single one had no dough on the inside and could be flattened easily! I was taken back by this! I would like a refund or a whole new batch done right. I feel like I've been taken for my money, this was a complete rip off and it's sad this would happen when I tried to support a small business in my neighborhood. Very bad experience. read more

Incredible beignets! We had marked this spot to try for some time and finally made it out. I didn't know that you can put in your order ahead of time when I got there, but the owner was very kind and our order only took 10-15 min to prepare. The beignets were light, sweet and paired with different sauces that include chocolate, caramel, strawberry and blueberry. The location is a cute house with plenty of street parking. Will definitely come back to order more beignets and other items on the menu! read more

If I could give 100 stars I would!!! And that's an understatement! The first time I had beignets was in New Orleans and became instantly hooked that was about 4 years ago. I have been on the hunt for some here in LA and I've tried many places (some very popular ones) and they were good but compared to Beignets Du Monde my goodness they do not come close!!!! These were beyond amazing my husband and I devoured them in a blink of an eye lol it's definitely MUST TRY please do yourself a favor and try these! Service was great and the beignets are out of this world!!!! I will with out a doubt be a retuning customer!!!! read more

Today I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment to try their amazing, freshly made beignets. First off I would like to start with the owner, a very sweet lady, so talented with her craft of cooking & baking ‍. Her energy, very welcoming, she was very easy to conduct business with, as a consumer. The whole time she smiled and was just pleasant. It smelled like a piece of heaven when I entered. I received my order and I must say literally it was like heaven in my mouth, actually I probably unknowly did a little happy dance for a quick moment in front of her, yes they are that good. For one the beignets are freshly made. I have to say after taking the first bite, the beignet literally melted in my mouth. Truly a gem of a treat! I'm so happy I found this hidden gem. My family's groin New Orleans so im familiar with Cafe du Monde and their popular beignets, but HONESTLY, the beignets at Beignets du Monde stands up if not surpasses them in flavor! Love, love, LOVE these guys! They also have other types of beignets from different parts of the world so do experience that as well. The deliver took about 45-60min but OMG they're worth the wait.
