Another solid Chinese carryout. One of my top 3 choices in Severna Park and Arnold. My favorite chicken Cho-cho sticks in the area!

We'd visited the previous restaurants in this spot and neither lasted so we were interested to see the changes. The restaurant itself is styled beautifully, not what you'd expect in a suburban shopping center. We opted for the Brussels and the short rib grilled cheese. Both were great. The Brussels were sliced, the balsamic glaze was really great. The short rib came on sourdough and I had low expectations: usually short rib on sandwiches (in my experience) is either dry or soaks through the bread, this sandwich was perfect! The short rib was really tender and flavorful, the bread was toasted but still soft. Perhaps the unsung hero of the meal were the fries and the malt vinegar aioli! The fries were incredible and the accompanying aioli was perfectly tangy, we couldn't stop eating them in spite of being full. Overall we were really pleased with our meal! We will be back to try more of the menu.

The event was a huge success, largely due to Andre, our server. He kept track of fifteen separate orders for food and drinks, and he kept our glasses full while being so pleasant. We request separate checks, which can be a hassle at times for restaurants, but it was all done smoothly. I enjoyed the margaritas (happy hour prices were awesome), plus an amazing ahi tuna and cucumber appetizer. We will definitely add Cypress to our event rotation.

If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.

The crab cake was not good it tasted like it had been fried in grease that was 2 years old it was horrible. I got my order for takeout. I tasted a piece of it on the way home tasted like old grease. So I thought maybe if it was cold I wouldn't taste the grease or it would some how taste better but it didn't. However the cream of crab soup was good I'm not going to say it was all horrible cause the soup was ok. But that crab cake was horrible it had a lot of fillers in it not to much crab. The service wasn't to good either. The person I was with picked the cream of crab soup I told them to give me a few mins I wasn't ready to order yet give me a min I let them know we were together the same check. So I ordered my food thinking the soup was already on the order since I explained that we were on the same check but the soup wasn't on the order I had to go back and order it again. I wasn't really happy especially the crab cake was horrible and I'm not just saying that it really was. Actually it's still in the fridge I didn't even eat it for real.

We heard him arguing with a customer and using vulgar language right in front of all the other customers. At one point he actually made the comment that he would take it out on the parking lot. Can't believe this establishment would employ someone like this. This bartender definitely should not be working in a customer service type job. Totally ruined our evening and we eventually left to go somewhere else. Mikes Inland Sunset can surely do better than this.

Over the winter my neighbors and I discovered that Friday happy hour goes until 7pm and now we're regulars. We have fun at the bar with Evan, Lacey and Jim and we enjoy the atmosphere. We've come to know various other local regulars too so it sort of feels like Cheers. Often I stick to the happy hour menu (snacks and drinks) Monday through Friday but I've also branched out into the Sunday early bird pre fixe dinner (yep, that is where I am in my life) and Thursday's lobstah night. Overall, it's been a good experience. A lot of people love the downstairs bar and season outdoor bar. It's a bit rowdier down there so intend to hang out upstairs. My favorites for happy hour are the ago tuna nachos but the happy hour menu rotates and they've been off the menu for awhile. The beer selection isn't great so I often get cocktails and they have all been solid.

One kids' meal had a rare cheeseburger, then another was a grilled cheese with bread so stale that it was crumbly. Also, we didn't realize the kids' meals came with fries OR fruit, the menu was not quite clear. Regardless, I feel as though the server could have mentioned "the fruit will be extra" so I could have corrected my decision. There was absolutely no reason why I would EVER pay $15 for $3 worth of pineapple, especially for kids. The waitress was nice enough, I was just very annoyed about the fruit situation. She seemed to think it was intuitive and kinda shrugged when I told her about the confusion. With four kids, $15 for fruit is just insane. She brought cheesecake as an apology for the messed up kids' meals. But I would have rather not had the cheesecake and just gotten the fruit taken off the ticket. They didn't even eat it, as kids do. The restaurant was nice. It just looked a little run down. Like the floors were extremely dirty, they need a good cleaning. Despite being very busy, we were seated quickly-that was a pleasant surprise. In summary, be prepared to send food back to be cooked properly. And good Lord, make sure you don't accidentally order fruit, it's $5 for 10 small chunks of pineapple.

Pinball machines line the outside of the room with the interior having several rows of arcade cabinets. Machines were almost all in good condition with only a few having issues or being down. Pinball machines that caught my eye included Johnny Mnemonic, Fish Tales, High Speed, The Simpsons 1990, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I was impressed with the Spy Hunter machine, as it was challenging. Other arcade machines that stood out included Arkanoid, Operation Wolf, several Mortal Kombat versions, and a Rush 2049 sit-down driving cabinet.
