The point of my visit was to discuss the floater I'd been bothered with recently. Nothing was resolved, however, notes were made on my chart so that if I wanted to follow up, the notes would be there. Several weeks ago, I did call back and say I wanted to follow up about the floaters. I was told I needed to see Dr. Andreas Gonzalez. Today I had an appointment with Dr. Andreas Gonzalez. I waited 35 minutes before seeing a technician who did testing (the recent eye appointment was a comprehensive one so testing was a repeat) and dilated my eyes. Finally, an hour and a half later (after watching the same video three times), I saw the doctor. He examined my eyes briefly and then continued with the technician's discussion of macular degeneration. After explaining a treatment they are offering, I said I'd like to do more research before considering. Dr. Gonzales then said to follow up in a year. When I realized he was dismissing me without having addressed the reason for my visit, I was stunned. Once I mentioned it, he gave me some information, but I realized that one of the procedures I was hoping to discuss, he doesn't even do! Not only is Dr. Gonzales condescending, he is also unprepared--doesn't come to an appointment ready to discuss why the patient is there! He seemed way more interested in "selling" me a treatment. Unconscionable is the only word I can find to describe the wasted two and a half hours I spent today.

    I initially contacted Zenith after Hurricane Beryl in 2024 to complete a free estimate for water…read moredamage at my home. They submitted an estimate to my insurance company, but when the adjuster requested a formal quote, Zenith was unable to provide one. As a result, my claim was denied. After seeking legal counsel, my claim was finally approved in 2026. Unfortunately, legal fees consumed a significant portion of the funds, leaving me unable to move forward with Zenith due to cost. I reached out to request a simple letter confirming that they would no longer be the contractor so I could proceed with another company within my budget. At that point, I encountered serious issues with a representative named Ehis. He delayed responding to me after promising a callback and then spoke to me in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. During multiple conversations, he raised his voice, made dismissive statements such as "I run this business and everything goes through me," and incorrectly claimed that the insurance funds belonged to Zenith simply because they provided a free estimate. We scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, May 25 to formally terminate the relationship. However, on May 23, after I left an honest review about my experience, he called me at 9:30 a.m. and again spoke disrespectfully, stating I had no right to leave a negative review. He told me to meet him at the office after 12:00 p.m., but when I arrived at approximately 1:30 p.m., the office was closed with no one present. When I called again, he stated he had already left for another client and instructed me to email my personal documents instead--then hung up the phone. I had three witnesses with me who overheard these interactions. This experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I expected basic courtesy and clear communication, especially given the circumstances surrounding my claim. Instead, I was met with hostility, lack of accountability, and poor follow-through. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend exercising caution and considering a more reputable and professional company

    What is horrible company. My mom's house had a fire in the garage in October. I rushed to protect…read moremy mom after work, but dearly wished I followed my gut, and decline their assistance. My mom and aunt are ok, and her home is mostly destroyed by the fire. My mom is 77 and is a retired senior. And im sure this terrible company was excited to get the call so they can prey on helpless people like my mom. ZDCP misrepresented themselves and my vulnerable mom believed them. They told her we work with State Farm. No, like anyone else, all you do is submit your inflated invoices to them. We told them specifically the only thing they are allowed to do was to board up the garage. They never told me their price. Had they told me the price, I would have told them to leave immediately! A month later, we get this ludicrous invoice stating we owe $3850 for boarding up the garage. And are currently threatening, they will file a lien on her home. I'm speaking to a lawyer now. And this 1 star review will be posted on every social media review website. google, yelp, Angi, wheree, birdeye, yahoo local, Mapquest, And any other local review website I can find. I will not take it down for a reduced invoice. I know how scummy companies like yours operates. Once you receive too many negative complaints you'll just pack up this LLC, and start a company in a new DBA/LLC. I've also contact Amy Davis for KPRC Investigative Reporter/ consumer advocate for her assistant. I hope she does a scam piece on TV, to prevent others from falling prey to companies like yours. And I'll be contacting BBB for assistance as well.

    MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION - RUN FROM THIS COMPANY…read more After receiving a bill for over $6000.00 for less than 4 days of fans running in my home 50% of the time, I called to speak with the owner to inquire about the outrageous charges on the bill and charges for unauthorized work performed by her employees, she said she would look into it. Well instead of looking into it, she just emailed me her husbands phone number and said I should talk to him because she wasn't there? I spoke with the husband for about 2 unreasonable minutes, that was a total waste of 2 minutes. Might as well been trying to talk to a wall. Just asked him to revisit the bill and to work with me on this. He refused even though they did work they were not authorized to do and charged for equipment that was not in operation 50% of the time. Overall talk about taking advantage of people. After a water pipe burst and basically flooded the first floor of our home, ruining all wood flooring (4 rooms), tile floors and kitchen cabinets. We contacted a local contractor to help with this devastating and horrifying situation. The contractor removed all visible water from all the floors and the better part of all baseboards effected. Problem #2 We're in the process of selling the home and it's under contract with Buyer. About 3 days into this disaster, we were unfortunately referred to Restoration 1 by our Insurance Adjuster, he felt the home wasn't drying fast enough. We contacted Restoration 1, they responded on the same day. When they arrived, they had me sign documents that was basically held them harmless of any/all responsibility which is understandable when dealing with water, problem was I practically had to beg to get a copy of what I signed, even the Insurance Adjustor requested them twice for me. They don't give you copies of what you sign while they are there. I immediately explained to their employee that I already had a contractor and he would be available to remove any part of the structure that they needed to have removed in order to get the place dry. Well that wasn't well excepted! I made it perfectly clear they are only authorized to remove any remaining baseboards and sheetrock as necessary. They seemed upset that I already had a contractor and the contractor would be doing all the demo. At this point, they kept telling me what they would be able to do, I had to keep telling them "I have a contractor"! It was a very uncomfortable situation. I left and they brought in their equipment, when I returned the next day, they had removed doors and door jams. When asked who authorized them to do this and why they did that, they just said they needed to because they were damaged. Just total disregard for the direction I clearly provided to them. I ask where the door jam were and to return them back to my house. They never did and had multiple excuses. First they said they left them in the garage and they don't understand where they went, then it was we threw them away already and cannot not return them. 50% of the time, the equipment was not in use or stacked in the garage or in a corner somewhere, because the contractor was working in the house. Their bill says the equipment was monitored and in operation, well that wasn't exactly the truth. They had also taped and wrapped plastic around the back of the damaged kitchen cabinet, with no fans blowing in that area (one of the main places water soaked). I do believe plastic normally retains moisture and doesn't allow the area to dry (Thats where they would do their moisture test to show their services were still required and it wasn't ever going to dry.) During one of their visits to the house, their employee had a conversation with the Buyer that is purchasing our home. I was informed by the Buyers Realtor that she couldn't believe what the Restoration 1 employee was telling the buyer about the status of the moisture level in the house and was scaring her to death about mold. This almost cost us the sale of the house and it took quite a bit to convince the Buyer there was no problem with mold in this home. There is absolutely no reason for their employee to be providing private information about my house with anyone other than their contracted client. Needless to say, I asked them to remove their equipment and I had to ask multiple times, they threaten me by stating "They would not provide a certificate that the house was dry and moisture free to my insurance company and insurance adjuster". I felt like they were trying to hold me hostage to keep their equipment onsite for as long as possible. I WOULD DO MINUS STARS FOR RESTORATION 1 IF POSSIBLE!

    I was very pleased with the outcome in having Restoration 1 of Conroe do the work on my home…read more An older home, ca. 1980, the plumbing is largely galvanized steel. It developed pin hole leaks, apparently a common occurrence at its age. Fortunately, the major damage was to the garage. Upon inspection, there were issues with the horizontal hot water runs for both the ground and second floor. I had a plumber replace all of that with PEX, which left the sheet rock repair. I had 3 estimates with Restoration 1 coming in at the best price. Shain Mann, the owner, was present each day, ensured quality work and protection of contents throughout the job and was very pleasant to work with. He pointed out some minor mold issues that he corrected along the way. The quality of the sheet rock work and painting was excellent. This included ceilings with texture matching, walls with texture and paint matching, etc. Very nice. I encourage anyone looking for recovery from water damage to check these guys out. My only caution applies to all such service providers: they like the insurance jobs where they can tack on high margin items without challenge from the insurance company. Take the time to closely review each line item of your estimate if you are paying your own way - it can save you $500-800.

    I had lived with a small water spot on the ceiling in my master bedroom for about two years before…read moreit suddenly widened and I was forced to finally do something about it. I called CWF first and they gave me a relatively pricey quote, but offered a lifetime guarantee of the remediation that I could pass to the next homeowner at sale. I got two more quotes from "budget" repairmen who were not punctual or professional. I was called by CWF two days after my walkthrough and quote, and I agreed to the work. The specialists came to my house on time, well dressed, clean, and were impeccably polite. The gentlemen began work sawing out the necessary chunk of drywall from my ceiling, and when they're done all three of us are surprised to find zero mold, requiring zero remediation. I asked the specialists to stop work and spoke to CWF who quickly agreed to cut me a very generous discount from the original quote reflecting the reduced scope-of-work. I will be using CWF for all of my water damage or remediation needs on all of my Houston properties from now on, and I can't think of a stronger way to recommend this business to you in order to meet your needs.

    When we first had our flood they were out to the residence quickly to help. They were very thorough…read moreand sympathetic. Everything was dried out and restoration began. After everything was finished, we started noticing problems with the flooring. Over 50-60 occurrences of the exact same plank design on the laminate flooring right next to each other. Corners were chipping off the laminate, gaps between planks, a huge bubbled up area, places where your socks would snag...it was bad. The only thing they agreed to fix was the massive bubbled up area. It is still not fixed and the project has been finished over two months. We did postpone a couple of weeks because of graduation. Called the insurance company to see if they could do anything. We were told that a new project manager has been assigned and they would contact us...nothing. My calls to them are going straight to voicemail.
