Run don't walk away if purchasing a car here! Not enough room to tell you everything. Rude, condescending and disrespectful! And lies!!! Asking a customer purchasing a car to resign a contract over 2 weeks later. Being told resign for the new numbers or "I'm just going to slam it down to my captive". Which means they will just send to Honda Finance. Why didn't you send it to them the day after it was signed?? Resign $11,000 less than the first so you guys are just giving away $11,000??? If you could have sent it to them you would have already. Waiting for refund of $13,000 that was the down payment. I'm posting pics of the original contract and the proposed new numbers. By the way the MSRP was only $48,000. And they wanted to charge $3840 for an extended service contract that was only 72 months and 60,000 miles. So almost $4000 for 24,000 miles of mechanical coverage since the vehicle comes with 3 years and 36,000 of coverage from the manufacturer. read more

I should have avoided this situation all together. Sounded like a problem from the first conversation I had. I was contacted via email by this dealership after they advertised that if I submitted my email, I would be able to view the entire inventory of their tent sale that weekend. BOGUS. Took me to their site and listed their pre-owned vehicles After my initial exchange, I realized I wasn't going to be able to make a deal. A week or two later, I was contacted again about their assurance they could get a deal done. I explained to the sales manager, who was now emailing me, that I had recently gone to another dealership and that the quote they gave me for a vehicle of a similar cost was far outside of my budget and that it wasn't going to work. He kept persisting they were 'fairly certain' they could get a deal done. After a couple more email exchanges, I personally pulled my credit report and vehicle payoff amount and called the sales manager. I covered all basis of the deal and told him I was not going to come down unless he thought there was a good possibility of a deal. He transferred me to his assistant to take my info to verify the credit score I JUST PULLED MYSELF 5 MINUTES PRIOR to try and put something together. I ended up calling back twice and getting jerked around and transferred because the sales manager was 'on a call' for three hours and no one had any answers for me regarding the deal he was supposedly putting together. I ended emailing him about four hours later, and he responded within 30 minutes about how he was busy and the deal he told me he could do was 150 dollars more a month than what he originally said he could do. Please be very wary of the finance people at this dealership. I got overcharged almost $2500 for a service agreement and gap coverage that I didn't want AND SIGNED PAPERWORK TO DECLINE. My problem is that I trusted them when the finance manager said he would take care of it. I realize it's my fault for trusting him and for not following up sooner. The most I can do now is post reviews warning people to be careful and not trust them because if they overcharged me you can be sure they overcharge other people as well. August 30, 2019 - took in vehicle because A/C was out September 6, 2019 - car was returned with the compressor, clutch set, and coil set replaced September 16, 2019 - car was taken in again for the A/C not working again September 24, 2019 - car was returned with a replaced compressor, hose, clutch set, and coil set November 30, 2019 - car was taken in again for similar A/C issues December 10, 2019 - car was returned with a new condenser, compressor, clutch set, coil set; at this time we spoke to the Service Manager, who told us that there were no problems with the A/C systems in the Honda Civics (which a Honda America case manager informed me that he should have known there were) and that our A/C was completely fixed and they had the best guy working on it December 10, 2019 - after picking up the car I drove it down the street when I noticed an audible rattling sound when the A/C was turned on and returned the vehicle immediately December 11, 2019 - the car was returned with replacement of a bracket December 12, 2019 - In the morning we noticed a neon green oil leaking from the compressor. I called Bell Honda's Customer Service Manager, where I told her of the new possible leak and that we would like out of the vehicle and we wanted to come down to work something out. We were told that Bell would be happy to work with us to make it right. We head down to Bell Honda to look at a different vehicle, we were told that we would be working with Heather but instead we had JJ and the Sales Manager, Brandon Latour, working with us. Instead of trying to make our situation right we were instead offered to buy a brand-new car with no deal. They offered us Kelly blue book for our trade-in vehicle, but the price of the vehicle we were interested in (stock number was checked) was listed lower on their website than the price that they offered us. We were told that the General Manager was involved and that was the best deal that they could give us. We walked out, feeling insulted. December 13, 2019 - took the car to Showcase Honda where they confirmed that a hose was leaking refrigerant and replaced it the same day Ultimately, Showcase was able to fix the problem and gave us a better deal on a 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback than Bell was willing to offer on a 2019 Civic Sedan LX. I had to come back today bec they damaged my car when they did the recall fix last week! A part got broken and yet no one told me anything. I noticed the bottom part of the seat broke and came off. Worst service department I've ever dealt with!!! Not uncommon it appears by other reviews. Brought car in at 8:30 for oil change. They said it had a recall and would take 3 hours. I call at 1:30......stayed on hold 15 minutes just to have them say let me call you back. That never happened. My boyfriend called just after 3:00 and left voicemail. They said car was done (how hard is it to communicate with customers that it won't be on time?). They said they'd send shuttle but it's 4:30 now and we have plans and need the car. Had to call a friend to pick us up to drive to dealership. I'm on hold now trying to get someone from service to talk to me. Complete lack of customer service with every person I spoke to. Not sure what they did but when we got our car back, but the hand controls were messed with. The car is throwing errors and it's unsafe to drive. There was NO reason for the controls to be touched. Now we get to spend another day without a car. I don't trust them to fix this as they're not certified. Absolutely will never go back!!!! Get it together. It's not difficult to inform customers. My boyfriend and I came here to test drive a Civic we were looking at online. When we got there, the car we were interested in was missing. Yes, they literally said they "could not find it". We decided to test drive another vehicle but with no intention to buy that day, which we made clear from the beginning, but especially now that the car we wanted was missing. The drive to get to the test drive vehicle was terrifying as our salesman was the most insane driver I have ever ridden with. I almost asked to get out of the vehicle and walk the rest of the way because he kept slamming the gas and the brake while also making last minute swerves and overall just driving like a madman. Upon arriving at the test drive vehicle, it was full of dust, footprints, and had an old water bottle in it. We proceeded with the test drive were our salesmen either sat in awkward silence the whole time or made snide comments that were maybe supposed to be jokes. Overall we had a bad experience and decided to buy our new Honda at a different dealership the following day. read more

If I could put zero stars I would I came in on July 2nd because my bf and I were looking at a certain car that was gonna be put in the shop so we couldn't test drive it but the sales person insisted to go through the process to purchase it and we put some money down the sales person then said we had gotten approved and sent us to the back waiting room to close the deal we were waiting about 20 min and they come back and tell us since we can't take the car till Tuesday July 5th to come back and sign the papers then so we were kind of confused so we ended up leaving and Tuesday rolls around and no one called me or my bf we called the dealership and they just told us the car didn't get approved and they were saying how they've been calling but are phones had no missed calls then they start trying to push cars we didn't want on us we just wanted the down payment back so my bf calls letting them know I'm coming in to pick the money up that we paid cash I come in for it on July 7th they say that the money can't be returned cash only in check because the money got sent to the bank apparently. Then they proceed to say that we can only get it in check so I'm like fine and then they say the fund lady isn't here and that if I come again tomorrow July 8th it'll be ready by the time I get here so I'm like you guys better have it ready because I keep wasting my gas and time so I get here early July 8th then they ask me how I paid and how we might not be able to get the check till Monday July 11th because the one that signs them isn't here this dealership is a joke. read more

Tried to sell me a car that was clearly in an accident that involved wet concrete but not on Carfax, convenient for them. BY THE WAY CARFAX CAN BE ALTERED, ALWAYS TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO YOUR TRUSTED MECHANIC BEFORE PURCHASING A VEHICLE. Had I not they would have scammed me out of $20k. The entire undercarriage of the car was encased in hardened concrete. All they care about is money. They promised it would be taken off seller sites but it was back up very next day. This is not how a company should conduct business. DO NOT GO HERE. Was reported to the BBB. I never bought car and tried to renegotiate like whoever from honda inclined. I had agreed to buy the car CONTINGENT on my own trusted mechanic giving me the ok. And the car was a POS that should have been an auction car. What happens if someone or an elderly person goes to buy that car and isn't as diligent as I was, purchases of the car and then the car starts to have problems because it's full of concrete. Leased two Honda Civics and have had 2 awful experiences. When I returned after lease expiration, I wanted to purchase the cars. Rod one of the managers wanted me to be sure and meet with him. Rather than simply telling me I could mail in a check for $14K he tried to convince me to pay the dealership $16,500 to buy the same car I drove in. Took me a while to figure out that he his story was a mix of dishonesty and misinformation (he put the sales tax on twice). Later I reached Katherine online at the dealer website and needed a simple piece of information for my lease purchase paperwork and got a complete run around that ended with no answer. I owned a 2017 Honda Fit. Everytime the air filter was checked it lost the little clips to the bottom of the engine. Didnt matter, mechanic, parts person or me, we all lost them. I bought the replacements no matter who lost them! They were $ 5 each. I had just bought replacements 3 of them.. A lady totalled my car. I no longer needed the parts. The parts Manager Dan Olson, nor his counter help girl would take the new parts back, still individually wrapped and sealed with the parts # on the bag and the receipt. Why? Because they were bought in Tempe and I now live in Phoenix. So this man, Dan Olson told me to drive to Tempe over an hour of my time to get back my $ 18. These are parts everyone with this car had to buy. He would Not be stuck with them...and could have gained new customers! Now his Poor Choice cost him and his company this bad rating and lost business from not only this Senior citizens but everyone in her huge family and whoever reads this and wants to be treated fairly with respect as a human being! This is for the Bell Honda Service Department. I took my car in on 2/24 when the check engine light came on. The first thing I asked them was "Do you have time to look at this today?" They assured me that they did. I dropped my car off around 11:30 a.m.. I finally called them at 4:30 and the person that answered the phone said that my representative was not available and he would leave them a message. Right after that I received an automated text with the list of repairs. I tried to call the service department and got an answering service only. I replied to the text and approved the repair that was causing the check engine light. Still never received a call back from the representative. Finally received a call at 6:20 p.m. to let me know that they needed to keep my car overnight to make the repair the next day and should be done by 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.. I arrived the next day a little before 9:00 a.m. and waited until 10:00 a.m. and still no call or text to say anything about the status of my car. I finally asked what the status is of my car and the person that I spoke with said "Oh, your car is already done". Poor Poor communication and poor poor customer service. My Service Rep was Andrew. I would have been fine with some communication. I will never go back to Bell Honda to purchase or service my car. read more

Ordered OEM honda parts from them online, was told one out of four parts were backordered with no ETA and that everything would be shipped together once all parts were available. Received 3 out of 4 parts and was charged for all four. Emailed twice and called about 4 times. Ordered 6/27 and til now (7/17), have not received a refund for the missing part nor reply from Customer Service. On their "Order Status" Portal, my order status is listed as completed. I had a recall on my 2013 Honda Pilot that was at the end of the extended warranty. Stephanie was my device rep and the tech found two issues that where covered under the warranty that needed to be repaired which added up to more and $2000. With a little bit of drama from parts arrival the car was repaired and Stephanie had me come back the next week, per the technician direction, to see if the dye showed a leak in the repair. I would give Bell Honda zero stars if it were an option. This company has a culture of deceiving its customers from the sales department to the service department. Their ethics are questionable at best. I paid $750 on a car repair (and $25 for a rental car during the time of repair that Andrew Said would be credited back to me. Not only was the money never returned to by the rental car company as Andrew said it would be, Bell Honda actually charged me an additional $30 on my repair bill and line item says it's for a rental car!)only to have the car sound worse than when I dropped it off. Couldn't get Andrew Crush to return any of my phone calls about my concerns. Had my boyfriend call him on my behalf about the noise the car was making and the rental car bill and he scheduled an appointment to see us on Saturday 11/18. We take the car in only to find out that Andrew wasn't even working that day. We then saw George and Q from there. They had the car checked over and George came back and advised the same repair I had just paid for would need to be redone (at no cost to myself). He said Bell Honda would also pay for a rental car for our inconvenience of having to have the repair done again (still no explanation as to exactly what Work was actually done the first time, if we were needing to do the same repair over again, or if any damage was done to the vehicle. Tried to say they have an off setting credit for the $30 rental charge but couldn't show it to me then said it was probably built into another discount they offered on my repair due to my poor sales experience which is a whole other story, seemed very shady) and our poor customer service experience with Andrew. As questionable as it was, I'm not unreasonable so we agreed to give Bell Honda another chance at repairing this relationship. They dropped us off across the street at the rental car company then left. The representative at the car rental offered us a mustang. I have children. One of which is still in a bulky car seat, which she could clearly see as we had the car seat with us. We let her know that was not going to work and that we drive a four door sedan. She then offered a Ford EXPEDITION?!?! I let her know That was also not going to work for me as I'm not experienced with driving a monster truck. She then offered us an "upgrade" to a four door Lincoln for $10 extra a day. I let her know I didn't think we should have to pay for a car that's similar to what we currently drive as most places try to be accommodating under these types of circumstances, but if that's all they could do then we would take it. Nobody from Bell Honda contacted me with an update on my car by the end of the day on Saturday 11/18. I let George know in person about the car on Monday 11/20 and he let me know that my car was not going to be done that day as they had to order the parts from an Acura dealership, but the car wasn't an issue and they would be paying the bill for however long it took to repair my vehicle. Q called me on 11/22 to let me know my car was done and also emailed an inspection report. The report stated future repairs that need to be done. It listed the very repair that Bell Honda has now supposedly done twice to my car! I immediately sent an email asking why and letting them know that this entire situation has been stressful which is not good for someone who has Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic,debilitating, and expensive disease of the brain and spine, for which there is no cure. I've still never received a response. Went in to pick up the car and let Q know that when dropping the rental car off they took my card information to pay for the rental car. I also explained the situation with the mustang to him and the $10 a day up charge to the Lincoln. He said to not worry that I absolutely would not be charged. I told him that Andrew Crush had also told me I wouldn't be charged and I was indeed charged twice. He assured me that I would under no circumstances be charged for the rental car. On December 1st $325 was charged to my bank account for the rental car. The day my rent also auto drafts. Making me short and causing me fees. I of course immediately called George at Bell Honda. He said he would look right into it and call me back. He never has called me back. My boyfriend tried calling him on my behalf and George told him that Bell Honda doesn't have to pay for any of the rental car due to the "upgrade". My boyfriend let him know that this is not at all what we were told. George offered nothing to resolve. This company has no scruples and no issue lying to appease their customers. Writing this out cause Ive tried contacting Bell Honda for help on my car issues due to my last service and they say theyre going to get in contact with me but ive been ignored for over a week now. I usually go to Tempe Honda but since moving closer to here i decided to check this one out and i regret it. To start this off my advisor didnt even know he had an appointment. Usually when you pull up in the service Im greeted right away and then my advisor comes out very shortly. At least thats what always happens at Tempe Honda. This time i was greeted by a nice man i dont know his name. And he talked to me twice also confused where my advisor was. I waited in my car for 15 minutes. Nobody knew I was waiting for my advisor so i couldve been waiting much longer. Very nice man named Alan Tarin helped me get a hold of my advisor and apologized for my advisor. Waited a little longer and he came walking out. Took forever to change my oil. Came time to leave and didnt apologize for the beginning. Anyways i check my oil now and its underfilled and my coolant is low. From what i understand they always top off the coolant with an oil change. The oil level is very near the bottom mark of the dipstick. Im no mechanic but i know its supposed to be near the middle. read more

I went to the service center at Bell Honda because my 2019 Honda was recalled. After waiting 3 1/2 hours I went and asked to speak to the manager. Instead, I was referred back to my service center rep. I told him I had been waiting a long time and wanted to get my car. He said I told you it would take 3 to 4 hours. I told him I didn't think he did because if he had I wouldn't have waited. He said the mechanic was just finishing up. After waiting another 1 1/2 hours the car was finally done. When I signed the paper work I told him that this is why I don't come here for service then I walked out of his office. He followed me to my car and, in a raised voice he said "This is a business and you need to learn how to act. " I admit I called him an A** Hole. He continued to follow me and said "You don't make the rules here you need to learn how to act." He then said "Git out of here." By that time I was in my car and I said Gladly. Honda has a lot of nerve using the word "Service" in their repair center. He was right in that yes it is a business and I am not the one who needs to learn how to act. He was after all a Service Rep. He never apologized nor showed any empathy for the fact that I had waited 5 hours. He spent a lot of time telling me how I was wrong. The fact that he followed me my car to continue telling me that I was wrong was threatening and unnecessary. I can't believe that this is the kind of people you hire as Service Reps. read more

DISHONESTY and DECEPTION. This dealership has been one bad experience after another, and VERY UNRECOMMENDED! When we purchased our new Honda, they snuck an alarm system by us, stating that "we have to have these installed since our cars are vandalized at night". It would be advised to check your invoice when purchasing a vehicle here, because it was a $900 add-on for a low grade system. Also we were told that we had to purchase a service contract, or have to pay $150 every 6 months to "have the computer reset", and if we didn't, "the car would not run anymore". 6 months later, the vehicle was brought in for its first Zaktek paint treatment (more on this $500 boondoggle later). I told the service advisor to go ahead with the six-month computer upgrade at the same time. His answer was "WHAT??". Two other advisors also looked at me like I was some kind of moron, and that my vehicle did not require this service. At the second visit, our car was held onto for an inordinate period of time, just for the Zaktek treatment and an oil change. Over 5 hours had passed, and my wife had enough. She went to the advisor and asked how much longer it would take for service. The paperwork was lost, and for at least a few minutes no one could update the status. Then they located it, and brought the car out about 1/2 hour later. When we got home, I lifted the hood just to make sure the oil cap was tightened properly, and low and behold, a new battery was installed. NOWHERE ON THE INVOICE was this mentioned. The advisor also did not tell us about any problem, or that the battery was changed out. Upon our most recent visit, I mentioned that there was a problem with the AC / heater blower along with our Zaktek appointment. They checked everything, and at 12:45 PM I had a call from the advisor that they could not find any problems, and they would now start the paint treatment and call me when it was finished. A mere 45 minutes later, our car was "done". OR WAS IT?? When making an appointment, they tell you one of these treatments takes 3 hours. Presumably, the vehicle has to be washed (and dried) to apply the paint protection. When we picked up the car, there was still water dripping from the back hatch, so it was never dried to apply the treatment- in fact, there was still dirt on the back painted bumper. So it appears that the car was merely washed and then handed back to us. 6 of these treatments is a $500 add-on, so at over $80 each, this is not chump change. After I got home and determined that in fact the paint treatment we paid for was not performed as stated on the invoice, I also saw an advisory that my "air cleaner element was dirty", and it needed to be replaced. WRONG. Just put a brand new one in two weeks ago. By this time, I was extremely upset!! About 5 minutes later, I get a call from a Bell Honda representative. I was asked what service I had, and I said "Zaktek, well at least that's what it said on the invoice". The response was "Oh, did they reschedule your appointment, because the Zaktek machine was broken". No one mentioned this fact when I picked up the car. It is obvious that since the warranty inspection took up too much time, and Bell Honda could not perform any paying work, that they had to make money by not performing a service that I paid for in advance. And the Bell rep was merely calling me to see if I wanted to sell my car, not really to check on the service (or lack thereof). Another thing one can expect from this dealership is A LOT of sales calls wanting you to come by and trade your car in, even as soon as one year after your purchase. This person checked with the advisor, and he swears that the treatment was performed. Which, of course, it wasn't. MEMO TO BELL HONDA: ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE not STUPID!! I will go to another dealer for service for now on. Am happy with our car, but this is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. BY FAR. read more

We had the worst experience purchasing a car with Bell Honda, considering they completely CHEATED us. My fiancé and I came in to purchase a car for him, and we decided to buy it under my name because to my credit score showed higher than his. The salesman and his manager offered me 1.9% interest for 72 months, where we clearly saw it on the paper. Then we went to sign the contract, they proceeded to push GAP insurance on us, which we declined due to it's high cost $100/month. The finance manager then walked in, took the contact away and said he will be back. He returned, stating that he has a better deal, that he will give us GAP for $24/month, with the monthly payment ending in $478, which only sounded good compared to the price with $100 GAP insurance. We gladly accepted this "generous offer," signed, and left with the car. Only after several months did we realize that the finance manager swapped the contract from 1.9% to 5.5% interest. We were furious! We went back to the dealership & recorded the salesman & sales manager. Is there a way to rate with zero stars ?!? That's what the service department deserves . Went in for routine oil change as well as an issue with a vibration upon braking . Was told by a service advisor I needed new front brakes. I had the work done and picked up my vehicle . I began to drive and everything seemed to be ok until I had to brake. I immediately felt something was wrong the vibration issue due to it was worse than when I brought it in. I couldn't understand that if I just paid for new front brakes how the issue I was having before was still there and now worse . I immediately picked up the phone and let the advisor know. He said to bring it back I go back and wait a few hours for them to figure out why the issue is there and now worse. He comes back and said nothing is wrong . Then he decided to have someone go else drive my car. The advisor then comes back to inform me they would re-do the front and now fix the back for no cost. Seems strange .. no one just gives away free work I ask for it to be fixed that day and was told to come back So I come back and leave the car (oh and at first was told because they were going to fix the back brakes for free I would have to rent a car if I needed one) I spoke with a manager upon dropping off my car and he agreed for the inconvenience he would pay for the rental car. I come back to pick up my car the following day, Ask for a receipt for the work performed and was told no receipt would be given for the work done due to no charge for the back brakes.. this is strange How can work be done and a customer get no receipt? I called the manager later that day and was assured since he was unaware of what was going on that he would speak with his employees and later that day he would be in contact with me. Well I have yet to get a call. I called back again two days later asking for the manager , was placed on hold and no one ever picked up. Oh and it's now been almost a week now And still haven't heard back . First of all it is not a joke. It's been a long time but I still want to tell you how I feel regarding Bell Honda. In July 2013, I visited Bell Honda for a Honda Civic 2013 ( basic model). My budget was 20K. They asked me for 25K for a civic which is definitely not acceptable while the offer Earnhardt gave me was 21K only. ( I finally bought my civic with 20K) My husband and I just left. Here is the funny part: the manager followed us and yelled at us "hey you answer my question, if you are not coming to buy a car, why you are wasting our time!" He even stood behind our car while my husband was backing up!!!! Hey are you are the person wasting my time bargaining for a civic and asked for 25K! I am not stupid! I purchased my Honda CR-V from Robert Garcia. He was very courteous, respectful, and appreciated my time. I feel that he did everything in his power to make sure we left as satisfied customers. He wasn't pushy and I appreciated that. We were there for about 6 hours because I honestly went there to look at a different car so that added quite some time. Only 4 stars instead of 5 because the finance procedure was a little bumpy. I had thought I was done negotiating and then came the additional warranty discussion. I hadn't bought a new car in so long, I was caught off guard. So my advice is to know going into the deal whether you want to purchase their "bumper to bumper" warranty. I needed 2 replacement keys for my Honda Pilot, that I purchased from this location in 2011. After paying for the 2 keys($150.00), I then had to wait for 1 1/2 hours as my car was held hostage because they insisted that they needed to do a multi point inspection on the car while the key was being programmed (So they could up sale me on repairs they deemed necessary) . I was finally presented with one key and told that the other needed to be ordered. I went back today to pick up the other key and was told that they needed for me to leave my car for another 1 1/2 hours as they programmed the additional key. (2 Keys = 3 hours wasted time??) Joshua Hansmeier at Bell Honda is the man! I had an unusual issue related to my car's computer that I took to many dealers and mechanics (including well rated Honda specialists). They all told me that they either definitely couldn't fix the issue, or they would charge me over $1,000 just to TRY. They were all obviously unclear on what the issue was and uncomfortable trying to fix it. Joshua Hansmeier immediately knew what the issue was and told me he could certainly fix it. He laid out the several options we had to address it. We chose one, he implemented it in the time he estimated it would take, and he had the issue fixed and me out the door for $200!!! His customer service was excellent, the work was done right (he even addressed an open recall), and the price was very fair. Total scammers. I received a mailing for a complimentary oil change with a scheduled appointment. I normally go to Showcase Honda, but drove 18 miles further for this. I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ahead of time. My fault, I didn't get his name, because when I showed up, of course it wasn't on the schedule; and they wouldn't honor the complimentary oil change.
