Bell Pest Control WAS a great family-owned Sacramento company. That is until they SOLD OUT to Certus Pest out of Florida about six months ago. Now everything has a HUGE impersonal corporate feel to it. Scheduling is done by a east coast team. Want them to call you the day before they are going to come out, forget it, their "system" is not set up to do that. Want to know when they are coming to do the service, forget that, they just come when they want without regard to WHEN you'd like them to come. When you call in the phone gets answered by a STUPID AI agent "Melissa" that is annoying as heck and if you are able to get the AI agent to understand why you are calling you are then sent to an EAST COAST call center where they handle multiple locations from all across the United States. If you like the experience of calling into AT&T, Comcast, or DirecTV then this change will be right up your alley. For me, I prefer the personal touch and responsiveness of a small family owned business, and dealing with that business locally, and that's where I have taken my business. This new company, Certus Pest, masquerading as Bell Pest Control no longer works for me. read more

My experience has been very disappointing with Bell Pest Control. The problems started immediately. My plan includes two inspections per year, but they never showed up for my first scheduled inspection in April. I had to call to find out what happened, and they simply rescheduled it. The biggest issue was what I believe was a bait-and-switch. Before I signed my one-year contract in April 2026, salesperson Rebecca Rothbam verbally agreed to match my previous company's plan of $45 per month for bi-monthly service. Trusting that agreement, I didn't read the contract carefully. After signing, I discovered the contract was actually for quarterly service at that price. When I asked Bell Pest Control to honor what was promised, they refused, saying I had signed the contract. Manager Rasheed Bryant said they reviewed the recorded calls but refused to provide any transcript or recording. If I cancel, I'm also required to pay a $250 early termination fee. Lesson learned: always read the contract carefully and never rely on verbal promises from a salesperson. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Bell Pest Control. read more

I pay how much for 8 mins (3 of which was spraying) of work? No thanks. I can do it on my own. Such a shame the old company got bought out. Bait boxes weren't even checked. read more

I have been a Bell Pest Control customer for about 10+ years. I never have any problems or complaints about their services. And they always received payments on time because I have set up for automatic payments on my credit card. For 10 years!!! Suddenly, I got a letter from a debt collector saying that I didn't pay for two of the pest services. What? I checked my credit card statements and found that Bell didn't withdraw payments tor two times!!! Because they failed to withdraw from the 10+ years established payments method so they accused me of "nonpayment" and sent my account to a collection agency?? What the heck?? They could or should have contacted me first to see if there's a problem that needed to be rectified. Instead, that's how they treated their longtime customer? Reading the comments posted on Yelp, I learned that Bell was merged with Good Earth sometimes in October (Bell withdrew the last payments from my credit card for October services) and that I'm not the only customer receiving the letter from the Collection Agency!! Why? Why ruined my credit standing with their own failures? Worst. I called Bell and told them about the collection letter. I was transferred to a supposed customer services person to help me. I waited and waited then a voice came in and asked me to rate on my experience on the call and whether the issue was resolved!! They didn't even have someone answer the call to resolve problems!!?? This is a dishonest company. Be aware if you sign up for their service, regardless of what the salesperson tells you verbally, you will be charged a fee of $250 if you cancel the service within 1 year. Salesperson Austin Wright called me to offer mosquito service and told me I could cancel it anytime and that many customers only keep the service during the summer months when mosquitos are bad. I called to cancel the service and was told I have to keep paying the $51 per month or be hit with a $250 cancellation fee. Read the fine print or better yet choose another pest control company. read more

Pretty upset with the service we are receive or lack there of. We schedule out on a day off a two hour window for them to come out and spray the outside/inside of our house. We have dogs and kids so that's not just something we can do with ease. They were supposed to come between 10-12. At 10am we called to confirm the appointment as we never got a confirmation. They said they will absolutely be there by noon. Well at 12;30pm still no one here!!! We attempt to call and message on the website but no one is answering anything. We are just sitting here keeping our life on pause waiting for some answer. The technician calls and says he's actually still "DEEP in Stockton and he could call us at 2pm and see about coming then" (we live in ripon). I feel for the guy having to be over scheduled and then deal with obviously upset people. Have been trying to reach the office with no return calls. So upsetting. We signed a year long contract and frankly we want out. DO NOT RECOMMEND. A side note is after we have scheduled this appointment Bell technicians have knocked on our door attempting to get our business. Do they not have a system that shows who their clients are? I wish we would've used a smaller local company. read more

This place was so unprofessional. I attempted to schedule an initial inspection and service. I called them on Tuesday to confirm my appointment, they told me that my appointment was on Thursday, I told them Thursday didn't work for me and I needed to schedule an appointment for a different day, was on hold with them for 15+ minutes for them to later say they couldn't get a hold of the person to help me and that someone would be reaching out. I later receive a call (2hours after my call) from an inspector saying they were 10-15 minutes away from my house and would be there shortly. I told him the situation, I called main office back for them to give me the round about again, said someone would call me back. Never got a call back to confirm my appointment. I then received a call this week on Tuesday from them saying the appointment was for the next day (it was an automated message saying to have gates open, etc.). I called them to cancel the service and let them know it was due to the poor customer service, lack of professionalism and communication. They did not care to make things right. Such a shame, because they came recommended from my sister and mom who also have them, and now they are going to cancel their plan/services as well. if I can give 0 stars I would. They don't seem to value their customers. read more

If I could give zero stars, I sure would! I was a customer of Good Earth Pest Control for a few years and loved working with Kevin and the team. They were so professional and kind. I had always suspended my services through the winter months and start up again in the Spring and it was not an issue with Kevin at all. I followed up with Bell Pest Control since the companies merged and just found out today that they cancelled my service because they don't suspend services...they did that without informing me! I'm disgusted and not too shocked as I see other bad reviews. Perhaps they saved me a headache. Had Good Earth for years. It was a family-owned reliable, friendly, and easy to work with business. Then it merged with Bell Pest Control, and within two months it was solely Bell. My relationship with Bell did not last two months. They are controlling! They want to dictate when they show up and on short notice. I had to cancel the December appointment because it was too last minute... but not before a 15 minute hold on the phone. In January, their guy just showed up and started doing the work before confirming with me. When I stopped him (while having to get to the airport for my flight), he insisted that I just leave my gate open. I refused and got a new January date. I don't need service every month in the winter. So, I asked to resume in March since I had service in mid January. But I was just given an ultimatum option: Schedule for early or late February since "(Bell) corporate policy only allows you to skip one month." If there is one thing that I cannot stand is "corporate policy" as a reason to mistreat customers. And I don't even have a contract with them. So, it should be on a request basis. It is sad when companies are so arrogant to think they can dictate their customers needs for the love of money. And I am no chemist, but I do believe that the spray chemical used is supposed to last at least 60 days if not 90 anyway. But that is an entire commentary for which to challenge them. My time is too precious. I canceled and will find another business. read more

I have been a Bell customer for 17 years. I have always been happy with their service and their knowledgeable technicians. Today Isaiah Kelly came by for my only service. I made him aware that I recently had an ant problem in my kitchen. We discussed the options on how to tackle the problem and I am comfortable the choice I made. Should I need further assistance with this issue I know I can rely on Bell to come back until the issue is resolved. read more

Don't walk, run from Bell Pest Control. I used them for over 20 years with no issues until they were sold last year. While the actual service didn't change, dealing with the company is a nightmare. I used auto pay, but the new company was taking over 30 days to post a payment, and sending nasty emails to tell me I was past due. I tried to discuss with them, but phone personnel will not allow you to talk to any one at corporate. Instead they promise to have someone get back to you, and they never do. I decided I'd had enough and canceled my service and my autopay. Unfortunately the bank sent one last payment and I have been trying to get reimbursed for weeks. The phone operators tell me someone will get back to me in 24 to 48 hours, but a week later still nothing. According to today's operator, there is a ticket to look into my issue, but still no resolution. I even used their website to post a direct request to accounting. The "ticket" I started was closed 15 minutes later and marked resolved even though they did nothing. I would give ZERO stars if I could! read more

Service man is very good however office schedule staff not so good. After our regular service man was assigned to a different route it's very stressful. They came service then rescheduled two weeks again I had to cancel. Then time table is in the afternoon n I requested morning from day one. It's just miserable. I ended up canceling the contract and was told a charge of 250$ will be applied which I m ok given all the exchanges n headache and stress. Then my bank showed 359! This review is way overdue!! We have been with Bell pest control for years. Darrell has taken care of us. He is polite, professional, and knows his job. He's there to answer all of our questions and take care of all of our needs. He has gone out of his way to help us with our ant problem. In the summer time, he helps us attack the spiders and rodent problems. He really knows about what's going on in elk Grove with all the insects and rodents. He has been a huge asset to us!!! We actually look forward to seeing him. On top of that I paid for a year of service and they didn't make it obvious to me that they will continue to come after that year is up without getting by ahold of me and charge me for it. I fired my pest control company yesterday (not to mention names, but it was Fast Action). They were terrible. In the beginning it was great... until they decided not to show up and when they did it was minimal. I ran into a gal at my favorite Starbucks who works for Bell, we exchanged pleasantries and I really liked what I heard. So, I hired them! Today they came out, got to work right away and took detailed notes. The rate is extremely reasonable and its on auto-pay which I love. On a 5 acre farm, if we don't stay on top of the pests it gets out of hand quickly. Today we needed Bell more than ever and they showed up and handled the issues with knowledge and skill. read more

I have never been disappointed with Bell Pest Control but I have since cancelled my services not because of my them as they always provided me with great customer service. I had to cancel due to personal reasons. My technician was Steve E. and he was always very friendly and even calls me to remind me when when he would come by the day before. I never had any issues and if I did happen to see bugs a few weeks after the treatment, I would call them back and my technician will come out to treat the home again without hesitation. read more

I've been a customer for 11+ years and have always received excellent customer service. They always call the day before service and ask if there are any issues they should be aware of. Thats why I'm giving a fair star rating. When I have had an urgent bug issue they do an excellent job in coming over within 24 hours. The one downside is they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. When I have had a Friday night issue I've had to wait TWO DAYS before I can call for help. At one point I thought I may have had termites. When I called for service I was told they do not offer termite extermination and I'd have to use a different company. Thankfully I did not have termites but that's a load of crap if I did. The past year the service has dramatically declined. I haven't necessarily called their office to complain. Instead I wait for the technician to call and will ask them to basically do what they didn't do in the prior service. Specifically cleaning the areas where cobwebs have formed. They're not hard to miss and are in plainview but yet they remain intact after the technician has left. After several times of this happening, I finally called to cancel service. I was informed I have an upcoming service in a few weeks and they have a 30 day cancellation policy so I would still be charged. Good riddance! They do not have any customer retention skills. I told them send me the bill and don't bother coming for the next service. I'm not sad to have found a new company that has on call after hours service and can handle termite extermination. read more

This last time I had a new technician - Rodney. My back gate latch has been broken for quite some time. I was not home when Rodney came to service my house. When I came home I went around to make sure the gate was closed before letting my dogs out. This is when I noticed that Rodney must have repaired my gate latch! He relocated it and added new screws so that it wouldn't keep falling out of the stripped screw holes! This was such a kind act! I wish I had been home to thank him personally! Brady best bug guy ever !! We've had Bell Pest for years, we love them. Never ever have they not given 110 % These guys are amazing! Elk Grove hit a nest of Turkish cockroaches ( yuck) while maintaining their landscape. Unfortunately they roaches decided to make my garage there home. I called BELL BROTHERS PEST and Brady came to my rescue that morning. Less the 10 hours of seeing these . Brady saw my husband struggling with the trash can . Brady ran up and said "here let me get that for you sir" what a true asset to this company. Thank you Bell Brothers Pest for hiring such efficient and caring employees.
