My friend and I were strolling Big Basin Way after a nice afternoon at Hakone Gardens. We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and decided to dine. We were able to get seated right away without a reservation. The complimentary bread was great and the spread they included (a tomato cream cheese I believe) was yummy! We both ordered the Chicken Mushroom Linguine and really enjoyed it. Our server was fantastic, unfortunately didn't catch his name. My friend told me they were bringing out the food when I was away at the restroom and offered to re-serve it when I got back. That's some great service!! The it was a little expensive considering what we ordered ($25 per bowl) but given the upscale neighborhood and main street it's on I thought it was reasonably priced. We sat outside which was nice but I will definitely request to sit upstairs next time; it was really cute!

Love this place! I haven't been here for about a year and decided to go here for my anniversary. What a wonderful experience and food! Appetizers: Caprese and calamari, love it. The calamari was fried to perfection, excellent seasoning and I enjoyed their house made sauces. Main meal: I got the center cut filet mignon cooked medium. It came with mashed potatoes and roasted spinach. Simple yet insanely good! Beautiful crust on the steak. My partner had the 24 hour slow cooked short ribs, equally as good! Desserts: crème brûlée and bread pudding also 10/10! Our waitress was great too, the servers were attentive with refilling our water. We sat first floor, I recommended sitting second. I went up to take a look and the decor is awesome! Too many people or else I would have grabbed a picture

Bella Saratoga is a small Italian style restaurant in downtown Saratoga. The building is old, very very old. It was probably a house at some point. They have seating downstairs, upstairs and in the patio. The servers are great. They're friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The valentines menu is special with higher prices and an automatic 20% gratuity imposed on the bill. The food is good, but not great for this price point. We got the lasagna which was well cooked but somewhat lacking in flavor. I don't think it was significantly better than anything from a grocery store. The ribeye special was decent. The meat was well cooked and well seasoned, but it had tons of fat and was slightly chewy. The piece of meat was very thin, probably less than 16oz for $76 plus tax and tip. It was served with a few fingerling potatoes and some broccolini. Both vegetables were good but nothing special. Overall, it was a decent Valentine's Day meal but there are generally better options.

    Split photo -- seated together.

We had a party of 18 the night before our daughter's wedding. Working with Brendan was absolutely wonderful, as we live in Colorado. Every email and phone call was perfect. We decided on a menu and open bar. We had a party favor that they placed at each place-setting as instructed. On the evening of the event -- food was wonderful and service the best. Our party was seated upstairs and it was very comfortable given it was a very hot day.

Our starters were the fresh crunchy bread and artichoke, and it was delicious!

We had the most lovely Italian dinner Saturday night with live music by a gentleman who strum the guitar, he was awesome! The food was incredible! We had great service by Francesco, who gave us many good recommendations.

As for food, beef carpaccio and Caesar salad were excellent. As a group we ordered duck breast, Misoyaki black cod, lamb shanks and I ordered the Nero royale linguine. Mine was good, but in all honesty I enjoyed the bite of all the other dishes way more. The linguine just didn't have the complexity of the other dishes. As for cocktails, as a group, which I had taste of each, we had the flowers old-fashioned, kiwi do you love me, Stone fruit sour, garden of Eden, bottle service and day at the spa mocktail. Service is great and I especially love the plates and utensils they have. Beets salad: it has yellow and red beets. This is a great starter for beets lovers! Steak appetizers: it has tender steak bites. The seasoning is a little sweet more like Korean bbq flavor. Lobster risotto: the lobster is juicy. The risotto is very al dente. I prefer creamier risotto consistency. Lamb chops: it's juicy and well seasoned. I especially like the side potatoes that's crispy and flavorful. The restaurant opened at 5 pm and by 5:30 pm it's already filled up. Definitely make a reservation before you plan to come.

To be honest, when I opened the menu, I thought the price was a bit on the high side, and didn't expect to like it in the "worth it" scale. But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. Come hungry, leave happy!

Sorelle is a small restaurant, upon entering, it has a square room and you get to see everything at one glance. It's not fancy on decorations, more like a neighborly place and the customers look like so too, families and large groups on a random day, you don't need to dress up to eat in this place. The 2 page menu has appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, and 3 entree dishes. Desserts are printed on a separate sheet, there are a variety of choices but a tad too expensive for my wallet. We ordered the Ravioli a la Teresa with cheese and pesto cream sauce, and their signature Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese. After ordering, we were given free bread for the table. The bread had herbs on top and the dipping sauce is olive oil with fried and then mashed soft garlic. The bread looked nothing special, but once I touched it, I was delighted to find out that they were warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It took a bit of wait for our food to came, I think it meant they were freshly cooked. The portions were big. Once laying down our food, the lady came with a big bowl of cheese and helped us sprinkle on top. It looks amazing with the cheese on top, like snow flakes melting on. I am so impressed with my short rib bolognese. The piece of short rib was sumptuous, a whole piece, resting on top of the pasta that is covered in meat sauce. The meat itself was so soft that it was super easy to tear off and just melts in my mouth. Flavorful and soft and juicy, super yummy! The pasta is cooked el dente, and each bite there's a bit of ground meat coated on the ziti pasta from the bolognese sauce. Very satisfying! I had a bite of the ravioli and these huge dumplings are covered in fresh pesto sauce and very cheesy inside. Although I was a bit confused on the difference between a pesto sauce and a pesto cream. I felt like the sauce was more pesto but we ordered pesto cream. Anyhow, it tasted good but I prefer my short rib bolognese more. Bus boy service is fast and responsive. We had a very enjoyable meal.

The restaurant has interesting decor and is not like most establishments of this nature as it is informal and is not in " the fine linen and white tablecloth " type of vein. No, the restaurant itself ( in a casual, rustic sort of way ) is very cozy and warm. inviting in a semi-formal way where you can relax to enjoy a fine meal and that is exactly what my family had. Our waiter was an affable fellow named Armando who is one of those servers that, as any good waiter does, is truly attentive to your whims and instinctively anticipates what you may want and he was perfect at his job. He served us water and a very food delicious basket of freshly baked bread ( which inadvertently set the tone for the meal to come because it was beyond excellent ) and named off the house specials, which were all mouth-watering at hearing them but it was the rib eye steak that caught my attention and that is what I ordered and also a ginger beer as well ( Fever Tree no doubt about it ). My family also ordered their food and then we waited for what what it seemed was an eternity for our meal to come. After about 40 minutes our meals came and they did not disappoint, from presentation to the flavor, taste and consistency of it all. I honestly don't remember eating my meal because it was done in 5 minutes... yes. it was that good and beyond delicious! I remember the steak was tender, juicy, grilled perfectly, the gravy was hearty and robust. the vegetables were cooked right ( fresh and tangy ) and the mashed potatoes were oh so fluffy and creamy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal to the fullest and I left no food on my plate. This was a meal that was pretty epic for what it was and I was throughly satisfied. I ordered a tiramisu for dessert to take home and I'm sure it will be as good as the meal I had at the restaurant. The interior feels like a classic Italian spot, and the exterior is romantic and inviting. The food was okay but not life changing. We started out with warm bread and an interesting cheese sauce that kind of tasted like spray cheese in a spreadable format. The pastas were good, but I prefer a more al dente texture, and their pasta is extremely well-cooked. So expect a soft, almost mushy pasta. The tagliatelle bolognese had a delicious, flavorful sauce. The linguine pescatore featured a creamy sauce and plenty of well-seasoned seafood. The gnocchi margherita was extremely okay - the taste of the dough overpowered any semblance of sauce. There was an unexpected bitterness, and I wasn't a fan of the vegan sausage they used. I've also tried the Insalata di Cesare and Garlic Bread on the vegan menu. The salad is great, nice and fresh.
