My friend and I were strolling Big Basin Way after a nice afternoon at Hakone Gardens. We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and decided to dine. We were able to get seated right away without a reservation. The complimentary bread was great and the spread they included (a tomato cream cheese I believe) was yummy! We both ordered the Chicken Mushroom Linguine and really enjoyed it. Our server was fantastic, unfortunately didn't catch his name. My friend told me they were bringing out the food when I was away at the restroom and offered to re-serve it when I got back. That's some great service!! The it was a little expensive considering what we ordered ($25 per bowl) but given the upscale neighborhood and main street it's on I thought it was reasonably priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside which was nice but I will definitely request to sit upstairs next time; it was really cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ate lunch at Bella Saratoga and loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor sitting options, they played Italian music softly in the background and the restaurant was super cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Simple but it matched! We got the salmon salad which was super good! They also have gluten free pizza crust which tasted amazing! The server was super kind the food was ready quickly.

Love this place! I haven't been here for about a year and decided to go here for my anniversary. What a wonderful experience and food! Appetizers: Caprese and calamari, love it. The calamari was fried to perfection, excellent seasoning and I enjoyed their house made sauces. Main meal: I got the center cut filet mignon cooked medium. It came with mashed potatoes and roasted spinach. Simple yet insanely good! Beautiful crust on the steak. My partner had the 24 hour slow cooked short ribs, equally as good! Desserts: crème brûlée and bread pudding also 10/10! Our waitress was great too, the servers were attentive with refilling our water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat first floor, I recommended sitting second. I went up to take a look and the decor is awesome![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Too many people or else I would have grabbed a picture

Bella Saratoga is a small Italian style restaurant in downtown Saratoga. The building is old, very very old. It was probably a house at some point. They have seating downstairs, upstairs and in the patio. The servers are great. They're friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The valentines menu is special with higher prices and an automatic 20% gratuity imposed on the bill. The food is good, but not great for this price point. We got the lasagna which was well cooked but somewhat lacking in flavor. I don't think it was significantly better than anything from a grocery store. The ribeye special was decent. The meat was well cooked and well seasoned, but it had tons of fat and was slightly chewy. The piece of meat was very thin, probably less than 16oz for $76 plus tax and tip. It was served with a few fingerling potatoes and some broccolini. Both vegetables were good but nothing special. Overall, it was a decent Valentine's Day meal but there are generally better options.

We had a party of 18 the night before our daughter's wedding. Working with Brendan was absolutely wonderful, as we live in Colorado. Every email and phone call was perfect. We decided on a menu and open bar. We had a party favor that they placed at each place-setting as instructed. On the evening of the event -- food was wonderful and service the best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our party was seated upstairs and it was very comfortable given it was a very hot day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Our starters were the fresh crunchy bread and artichoke, and it was delicious!

The decor is nice and modern and clean, and the food was simply amazing! We started off with the rare tuna tacos that were delicious as well as the salmon sashimi hors d'oeuvres that a friend and I shared. I ordered the miso cod which was rich, but not too rich over a bed of forbidden rice and spinach. I shared with my friend, the salmon that was equally as delicious. I could not choose which one I liked more. I do have to say kudos to Amanda our server was probably the most attentive and best server I've had in a very long time. I will definitely come back, Please note that this was on a Wednesday at 6 PM and there were probably 10 other people in the restaurant. It is not very large and pretty quiet. Parking was on the street or there are some public spots tucked away off the main street. I did not see any electric charging stations nearby, but there are some shaded spots from the trees in some of the parking areas. I look forward to coming again to this restaurant for any special occasion. Great for groups or romantic evening.

We started with the beef carpaccio and it was tender and delicious. We also had the shrimp cigars and two old fashioned. For main course I had the miso cod and it was tender and very flavorful- the miso saturated the entire fish. Going forward I would have ordered a vegetable to pair with it. My husband ordered the duck and that was a bit disappointing. They hadn't rendered the fat properly so the skin was chewy rather than crisp. The duck was slightly on the tough side. On a very positive note, the wines are market price rather than the large markup you see in most restaurants. The chocolate cake was overly dense. Since it was a birthday celebration they also brought out little chocolate cream filled cups that were delicious. We will definitely return.

To be honest, when I opened the menu, I thought the price was a bit on the high side, and didn't expect to like it in the "worth it" scale. But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. Come hungry, leave happy!

Now I get why Sorelle has such a high score, and I'm happy that we finally gave it a try…read more It's situated in a small strip mall, parking is ok as we came at around 6:30pm on a week day night, there were still some spots available. Sorelle is a small restaurant, upon entering, it has a square room and you get to see everything at one glance. It's not fancy on decorations, more like a neighborly place and the customers look like so too, families and large groups on a random day, you don't need to dress up to eat in this place. The 2 page menu has appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, and 3 entree dishes. Desserts are printed on a separate sheet, there are a variety of choices but a tad too expensive for my wallet. We ordered the Ravioli a la Teresa with cheese and pesto cream sauce, and their signature Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese. After ordering, we were given free bread for the table. The bread had herbs on top and the dipping sauce is olive oil with fried and then mashed soft garlic. The bread looked nothing special, but once I touched it, I was delighted to find out that they were warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It took a bit of wait for our food to came, I think it meant they were freshly cooked. The portions were big. Once laying down our food, the lady came with a big bowl of cheese and helped us sprinkle on top. It looks amazing with the cheese on top, like snow flakes melting on. I am so impressed with my short rib bolognese. The piece of short rib was sumptuous, a whole piece, resting on top of the pasta that is covered in meat sauce. The meat itself was so soft that it was super easy to tear off and just melts in my mouth. Flavorful and soft and juicy, super yummy! The pasta is cooked el dente, and each bite there's a bit of ground meat coated on the ziti pasta from the bolognese sauce. Very satisfying! I had a bite of the ravioli and these huge dumplings are covered in fresh pesto sauce and very cheesy inside. Although I was a bit confused on the difference between a pesto sauce and a pesto cream. I felt like the sauce was more pesto but we ordered pesto cream. Anyhow, it tasted good but I prefer my short rib bolognese more. Bus boy service is fast and responsive. We had a very enjoyable meal.

Ordered: 1) Garlic Bread: 5/5 - Tasted super fresh and garlicky without too much cheese, exactly the way I like it. 2) Walnut Pesto Linguine: 2/5 - It sounded super interesting, so I ordered it. First of all, the dish didn't look appealing at all. I get that it's called walnut pesto, but there were way too many walnuts. As for the pasta itself, it tasted very bland, not flavorful at all. My friend and I ordered the same dish and we both felt the same way, couldn't get past 2 spoonfuls. 3) Pasta Primavera (white wine cream sauced swapped for pink sauced - red and white combined): 5/5 - ordered this for my 5 year old, and omg it was amazing and full of flavor. 4) Burrata Pizza: 5/5 - A very interesting combination of toppings. Must try, do not miss it! 5) Port Belly Pizza (ordered without the pork, made vegetarian): 4/5 - pretty good and flavorful. 6) Pink Gin & Elderflower Tonic (mocktail): 3/5 - Nothing great. I don't drink alcohol at all, so I am not sure how mock gin should taste like. 7) Tiramisu: 4/5 - above average compared to most places. Not soggy or dry - it was good. 8) Brownie Sundae: 3/5 - I had a lot of expectations for this one, but it turned out to be meh, the brownie chunks should have been warm; instead they were pretty hard in texture. They should have warmed it before serving it with the gelato. The taste was good though. Definitely coming back, but I would stick to ordering pizza or the pasta primavera next time. The pizza, bread, etc. were super fresh, and you could feel that in every bite. The ambiance is awesome, you could come here for special occasions with friends and family. Our server was very attentive, gave us good recommendations, and was super nice to us.

The restaurant has interesting decor and is not like most establishments of this nature as it is informal and is not in " the fine linen and white tablecloth " type of vein. No, the restaurant itself ( in a casual, rustic sort of way ) is very cozy and warm. inviting in a semi-formal way where you can relax to enjoy a fine meal and that is exactly what my family had. Our waiter was an affable fellow named Armando who is one of those servers that, as any good waiter does, is truly attentive to your whims and instinctively anticipates what you may want and he was perfect at his job. He served us water and a very food delicious basket of freshly baked bread ( which inadvertently set the tone for the meal to come because it was beyond excellent ) and named off the house specials, which were all mouth-watering at hearing them but it was the rib eye steak that caught my attention and that is what I ordered and also a ginger beer as well ( Fever Tree no doubt about it ). My family also ordered their food and then we waited for what what it seemed was an eternity for our meal to come. After about 40 minutes our meals came and they did not disappoint, from presentation to the flavor, taste and consistency of it all. I honestly don't remember eating my meal because it was done in 5 minutes... yes. it was that good and beyond delicious! I remember the steak was tender, juicy, grilled perfectly, the gravy was hearty and robust. the vegetables were cooked right ( fresh and tangy ) and the mashed potatoes were oh so fluffy and creamy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal to the fullest and I left no food on my plate. This was a meal that was pretty epic for what it was and I was throughly satisfied. I ordered a tiramisu for dessert to take home and I'm sure it will be as good as the meal I had at the restaurant. We wanted to sit outdoors to enjoy the warm weather, and after maybe ten minutes, we were seated. I really enjoy the setup of the restaurant. The interior feels like a classic Italian spot, and the exterior is romantic and inviting. The food was okay but not life changing. We started out with warm bread and an interesting cheese sauce that kind of tasted like spray cheese in a spreadable format. The pastas were good, but I prefer a more al dente texture, and their pasta is extremely well-cooked. So expect a soft, almost mushy pasta. The tagliatelle bolognese had a delicious, flavorful sauce. The linguine pescatore featured a creamy sauce and plenty of well-seasoned seafood. The gnocchi margherita was extremely okay - the taste of the dough overpowered any semblance of sauce. I will mention the portions were definitely controlled - it wasn't a particularly filling meal, and the prices weren't cheap. The general ambiance of this restaurant was the highlight, and the food wasn't bad either.
