What I ordered: - Small Tagliere Misto which was a charcuterie board mix of cheeses, cold cuts, olives, honey & focaccia. Would definitely get this board again with a glass of wine. - Pizza alla Francese made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, brie cheese, speck (smoked prosciutto), arugula salad, parmesan cheese. Loved the freshness of this pizza. Lots of flavor and all around great pie. - Carbonara swapped the rigatoni with spaghetti. Creamy, silky pasta made with pecorino, prosciutto & egg yolk. My son loves this! - Lasagna just because. Layered goodness of became, cheeses, bolognese. Bubbly goodness - Testarrossa Pinot Noir I think this might be my new weekly red at home. All in all service was decent, food took a bit to arrive but was great so no complaints. They checked on us a few times while we were waiting so that's a plus. I've lived in the area for years and walked past this restaurant countless times, always heading to the diner next door. I finally stopped in with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were refreshingly reasonable. As someone who hasn't always been impressed with Italian restaurants in Cupertino, this place changed my mind. I've had the pleasure of eating here both as a vegan and non-vegan, so I'm familiar with several options on the menu. The servers are always kind and helpful, the interior is cute, and I like that they have an option to dine on the patio. Parking is easy, and I've never had to wait very long to be seated or get my food. Before I became vegan, I liked the Penne Salsiccia, Lasagna, Quattro Formaggi Pizza, Pizza Golosa, and Torta Primavera. They were all so yummy! I'm surprised I didn't review them back then. My favorite pre-vegan item was Penne Salsiccia, so I was excited to see a vegan version, Vegan Penne e Salsiccia. Sadly, it didn't quite live up to the non-vegan version. There was an unexpected bitterness, and I wasn't a fan of the vegan sausage they used. I've also tried the Insalata di Cesare and Garlic Bread on the vegan menu. The salad is great, nice and fresh. The garlic bread was a bit light on flavor, but I still enjoyed it. I'm thinking I need to check out their other vegan pastas and pizza. Maybe I'll find a new favorite and give them a 5-star rating. Came here for a Friday date night with the husband. It was not packed at all. According to my husband, they have some great Italian beers on tap and imported bottles. The service was very nice and I guess like Italy, dining can be a bit slow. There were a lot of regulars and they seemed to be served before us so we didn't feel super attended to. We ordered their calamari which was a HUGE portion even for a big eater like my husband. By the time the rest of our food came we were kind of full. The calamari was good however. Boar ragu - we got this after we had an amazing one in Pisa but this one had a ton of mushrooms and it kind of overwhelmed the dish. The pizza was our favorite and I loved that it was packed with arugula and shaved Parmesan. I think I was craving a more tomato based pizza and this one had melted Brie which made it extra decadent. We just moved into this area and decided to try this place. The place was not very busy at 8:00 pm. They have Vegan pizza on the menu which is great for my son who has dairy allergies. We ordered the calabrese pizza - tomato sauce, Mozarella cheese and spicy Italian salami. The pizza was a decent size - shareable. the crust was light and crunchy and tasted wonderful. The spicy salami had a nice flavor and was not too spicy. We really enjoye dthe pizza. My son loved the vegan pizza and ate it all! We were not very hungry so only had the one pizza to share. Passed by this restaurant many times and decided to give it a try. The ambience is nice with an open kitchen and it feels spacious. There is also a nice outdoor dining area. We started with Fritto Misto and Insalata Mediterranean. The fried calamari and shrimp is not bad, however, the red sauce is super salty and not edible. The tartar sauce is ok. Had other better tarter sauce elsewhere. The salad is very good and fresh. The Spaghetti Alla Chitarra with Clams is delicious. There is a good amount of clams and the sauce is light and tasty. There's plenty of parking in the lot, though some of the spaces are tight. I usually walk here from home. It's a pretty intimate atmosphere inside. Nicely decorated, great for a date. Service was good and I believe it was the manager or owner checked in with us and was on the floor which was nice despite it not being too busy. My favorite was the carbonara and I thought the noodles were nicely cooked, but everyone else in my party did find it a bit too al dente based on their preference so a note we'll make next time we come. I made reservations and since we came in a bit too early, they were kind enough to accommodate us (since there was barely anyone inside.) PENNE SALSICCIA (With homemade Italian sausage, mushrooms, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, parmesan cheese, in a white wine sauce and touch of truffle oil) - highly recommend getting this!!! First bite, yummy! Simple ingredients but definitely done right! We shared a bottle of red wine - Abruzzo, it went perfectly with our dishes. BFF had the tiramisu (which now that I remembered, I didn't taste it! She didn't even share ) I had the cannoli - it was alright. Still liked the cannolis from Stella's in SF. When I contacted the management to present my official hospital diagnosis and demand reimbursement for my medical bills, I was shocked by their complete lack of accountability. They dismissively told me they were "too busy to handle this matter right now." A confirmed Salmonella outbreak is a public health hazard, not something a restaurant can ignore because they are "busy." My friend frequents their Campbell location and was surprised to find the dish at this location did not come with salad , just the arancini. They were skippable. I tried the CAPRICCIOSA pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, artichoke, italian ham, anchovies, and mushrooms. The flavor combo was good but the weight of the toppings made the crust soggy. It did take some time for a waiter to take our orders (one guy was working both bar and tables). My husband and I decided to come here for a date night and were surprised we have not stopped here already having been living in the area. I was very impressed with the service - they were fast, attentive, and checked in on us at a good frequency. We also did not have to wait too long to be seated on a Saturday night when it appeared busy. The food was also good, although next time I would love to try a diferent pizza (I had a veggie pizza with white sauce). My partner and I decided to try La Pizzeria Cupertino for the first time tonight, and I can honestly say I have found my new favorite date night spot. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with smiles, and the friendly face of our server Jose. He made sure our water cups were never below half (he even poured them himself. Our hands weren't allowed to touch the bottle.), and my FAVORITE part was once our meal was served, Jose and I made eye contact, I gave him a thumbs up, he gave one back, and he let my partner and I eat in peace with NO INTERRUPTIONS. I have NEVER tasted food as good as Antonella's Gnocchi. This dish was PERFECTLY COOKED. I told my partner I wanted to cry happy tears. He replied his spaghetti made him feel the same way. Jose could tell we were on a date night, so he recommended we share a strawberry gelato, and just because he is a wonderful person, gave us 2 complimentary shots of limoncello "for the happy couple." Good service but one of the worst chicken salads I've had - the chicken itself was so dry and overcooked that some edge pieces tasted like leather, not even jerky - just burnt. They had an unfortunate series of fire alarms go off during our lunch service so I felt bad saying anything and having to send it back, so I chugged water to moisten the chicken. Service was great though - they apologized for the blazing alarms and accommodated our request to move outside. My colleagues got their pastas and really liked their dishes, so maybe try those. Other people who ordered the pasta also said they were overcooked, sauceless or just plain horrible. Service was below average, food took about an hour to get to my table after ordering, and our server never checked on us that whole time. Frito misto to start was very okay at best. Many of the calamari pieces were hard/overcooked, and also pretty salty. Margherita pizza is a hard pass! It is literally just cheese pizza with chopped basil and most definitely not a Margherita. Lobster ravioli was an opportunity for redemption but half of the dish was literally cold. Today was an incredibly busy day for me, and I was starving. However, I didn't want to eat too much since my fiancee had plans for my birthday-- Nine-course Michelin star meal in San Francisco. That's when I stumbled upon La Pizzeria. I went in just to order a pizza to tide us over for the day. I was blown away by the customer service I received from Salvador. He was absolutely amazing--fabulous, kind, and sweet. When he found out it was my birthday, he made me a complimentary raspberry gin martini. Salvador went above and beyond by putting Italy on the televisions since I had told him I was supposed to be in Italy for my birthday but couldn't make it due to my dog's injury. His kindness and effort made me feel like I was actually in Italy. The Napoleon pizza was incredible, and the complimentary drink was delicious. The hospitality at La Pizzeria is exceptional, and the restaurant itself is lovely with a beautiful bar and plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors with heater vents. The cozy ambiance and top-notch service make this place stand out. I can't wait to return for dinner. Thank you so much, Salvador--you were the kindest. I almost forgot to mention that he also sang Happy Birthday to me as he brought me out a strawberry gelato. Now that's what I call hospitality! Delicious Italian food in the South Bay Cupertino area. It is located in a popular plaza, and ambiance is a more casual setting. I dined here with a group of friends and based on what we ordered: - I got the Mediterranean salad with chicken add on: this was absolutely delicious. Chicken was well-seasoned and not dry, and I love a goat cheese and beet pairing. - My friends got a variety of pastas and pizzas. The lemon-based pasta is delicious! The pizzas were smaller than I thought though, it would be basically 4 large slices or 6 small slices depending how you'd cut it. Overall, I do like this place but the prices are a little higher than your average Italian/Pizza restaurant. We started with the fritto misto. The calamari was fresh and plentiful. Really thick rings and tentacles. The shrimp were large. I'm just thankful they serve both fried calamari and shrimp in the same appetizer. Usually, you're given the option of either/or. We shared the pizza alla boscaiola. The crust was perfectly charred and crisp. The mozzarella complimented the gorgonzola, and the wild and porcini mushrooms made it hearty eats despite it being a vegetarian pizza. Also, the truffle oil really did come through nicely. We also shared the ravioli with lobster, which I thought was the most surprising. Again, the shrimp were large and beautifully tender. But when I cut into the ravioli, I was surprised with how meaty each bite was. They didn't skimp on the lobster by compensating with ricotta. I even took a picture of it to show the inside. It was a generously filled with lobster. It was so delicious that of course, we took the complimentary bread and wiped down the plate clean of its tomato sauce. We sat outside, which is so relaxing. Went on a Sunday night at 6:30pm and there was no wait. Parking was easy. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. The inside kind of reminds me of a sports bar. Service was very European but attentive. Got the fried zucchini flowers appetizer and it was delicious. Came with an anchovy sauce which might not be for everyone but I loved! The lasagna was really good! I love that they bake it again in its own dish so there was the lasagna crust all around! I don't like the places that just cut the lasagna out of the bigger tray and serve it cause you don't get the crispy lasagna crust. I'd say the lasagna here is a must get. With that said, I noticed later that the tip was revised upwards by $10, when checking my bank's bill against my hard copy of the receipt. Coming from a tiramisu-lover, this is one of my favorites for sure. * Penne Salsiccia: The sausages in this delicious are pretty special. Not the tiny sprinkles you find in most pastas. These are large juicy chunks. Lots of random other ingredients too: spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese etc. Definitely a worthwhile dish. Not the largest dish there is, but the plate is yummy. Overall, would recommend the food at La Pizzeria -- especially the tiramisu! The tip revision makes me hesitant to go back, but again, maybe an honest mistake. read more

We came here during prime dinner hours on a Saturday and got seated without a wait. There are plenty of onsite parking in the back of the restaurant in case you can't tell from the front of the restaurant. I like the medieval style interior design and it has a full bar. I can't comment on how authentic the food is but I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Everything is heavily seasoned so some people may find it a little too salty. I liked it the way it was served. The service was a bit slow but it's probably because they seem to be a little understaffed. It was a little difficult to flag their attention when I needed bigger plates for sharing purposes but other than that, I had a great dining experience. read more
