I have a few of my favorite nail techs who have the most incredible attention to detail (Nelly, Cynthia, Taylor). Everything is one time use, which I love. They care about my health and nails. The space and big comfy chairs are so relaxing too. This place is amazing - the manager, Marisol + the rest of the receptionist are all so great with both customer service and nail education - it's so great to have this Nail gem here in the heart of Montana. I've been coming here almost 2 years now, whenever I can get my girl Chi to do my fancy gel nails, I get so many compliments! She's awesome, because she tells me the new colors I should try, she knows what color combination will look good and what I will like so I don't have to tell her what to do, that is very nice. There were times she was on vacation, some other girls did my nails, they didn't do what I want them to do. Another time my girl was busy, so I had somebody else do my nails but this time I had her do regular polish, and when I came home, my nails were already messed up. I only like getting my nails done by Chi but she's a busy girl so I will have to book her in advance, also Kathy is very good, she does my boyfriend's nails and she's done my nails, she's very good too. The level of customer service and disregard for their clientele is dismal. If you're going to drop $150 on a manicure and pedicure spend the money elsewhere. Called and spoke to the manager, who basically didn't give a sh** and said we misunderstood what the receptionist was trying to convey. I beg to differ! read more

The salon is nice but every time I get my acrylics done they fall off in a couple of days. They use cheap glue which is unacceptable as the name salon charges an arm and a leg to service you. Won't be going here again! I have also forgiven them several times and it just keeps happening. read more

Me gel pedicure is bumpy/lumpy and uneven, my nails are all different lengths too and there are parts of my nails that aren't even polished. My usual nail places that are 1/2 this price always do a way better job. I think this is the worst pedi I've ever received unfortunately. Bellacures has been excellent for a long while, with just a couple minor glitches. I often bring my very small dog who snuggles in next to me & is no trouble at all. The manicurists really like her. However, I'm usually there during the week. The only appt. time I could get this week was on the weekend, Saturday, early. My two "regulars" were there, one doing my manicure, the other pedicure. One of them was acting very odd, very chilly to me, as if she hardly knew me when normally she was very sweet and happy to see me and my pup. (I don't mind the prices & I tip very very well. So this was not the problem.) I realized that the problem might be the "weekend" receptionist who had ignored me on check-in - I seated myself. My little dog settled in & seemed fine but after a while began shaking, as if she might be about to have a seizure. Both the manicure & pedicure were nearly done, so I said I had to leave quickly - no massage or hot towel or any extra, I was very worried about my dog. There was another customer at the front desk but she too was being ignored by the receptionist who was on the phone, having a very lengthy conversation. Because she was being ignored, the customer turned to the nail polish rack to interest her daughter who was with her. The receptionist chattered on. I tried to get her attention, saying that my dog was sick and that I'd like to pay quickly and leave. She shook her head at me, and kept talking. This went on & on. Finally, I tried to hand her my credit card & she shouted, "I am ON the phone!" and after more time, finally very slowly hung up. She started lecturing me about how her phone conversation took precedence & I tried to enlighten her about how in-the-flesh customers should be treated. "If you have customers in front of you - common courtesy would indicate that a phone caller could be asked politely to wait "on hold", until the customers right in front of her were responded to. I told her that it was rude to act as she had. She kept snarling at me that I was the one who was rude - that she couldn't hang up in "mid-conversation". If my dog hadn't been ill, I might have kept arguing, but I handed over tips (no receipt offered) - and left as she shouted after me, "And that lady" (the woman at the nail polish rack) "was here before you, so YOU are the rude one, ok?" Here's the bottom line - this ignorant lack of manners is the norm for some individuals of a certain generation - who seem schooled only in entitlement, apparently never having been taught about courtesy or any version of customer relations. (This person, btw, was not Vietnamese - as most of the Bellacures employees are - and who are also extremely polite.) I don't ever want to encounter her again, so I may not go back - but perhaps she is only there on weekends. I have her name and might share it with the lovely receptionist who is there during the week. On the other hand, someone there hired her, so Bellacures must not mind having this kind of ugliness "upfront" at its Santa Monica shop. read more

Worst manicure of my life! I was so excited to come here after I just got engaged so I could take engagement pics including my hand. I asked my manicurist, Cindy, to just cut a tiny bit or file my nails and keep them the same shape as they were (almond). She cut off all my nails, filed them unevenly- flat square top on some, some rounded, uneven. It was beyond upsetting. They got Tim to fix them and put fake nails on which is crazy I got considering I came in with long nails. When I left, they told me they didn't charge me for the two fake nails I got. I'd hope you wouldn't charge me for the nails I would have never needed if it wasn't for Cindy chopping them off. What's crazy is- even if I wanted short nails- they weren't even or remotely ok for that either! So much for my engagement photos and thinking I was going to a high end nail salon. read more

I've been looking for an upscale pedicure spot and finally found it at Bellacures! I visited the Santa Monica location and was so pleased when I walked through the door. The salon is clan like clean and pretty. The pedicure chair was lush and comfortable with pillows for support where needed. I got the Soothe Your Souls Pedi that includes salt scrub, callous removal, hot towel wrap and massage. It lasted almost an hour and was so relaxing. They have quite a few pedicure options and add-ons that I'm excited to try. There are a few locations and I plan to visit Studio City next time. read more

Shortly after I arrived, all of the employees were arguing with each other at the front of the store. We had appointments so I was helped shortly after that by Tom. He was very nice. I had a mani/pedi done. My toes look pretty good, I'm happy with them. My fingers on the other hand...truly the worst manicure I have ever gotten in my life. Very very pricy for a mediocre experience. The chairs may be comfortable but not for a mani. You need a table, and you can't sit straight because you're twisting to give your hands. My manicurist forgot to give me a hot towel, massage and lotion which were included in the price. The front desk woman kindly gave me a 20% discount. If not for the chairs and steep price, I'd consider going back because the manicure itself was decent. read more

I came here after winning a gift card at a church raffle. Disappointed in my last nail joint, I couldn't wait to give this place a try. I'll keep my review short and to the point. Seriously the best gel manicure and basic pedi I've ever received. My nails are awful and staff made them look on point. The girls went above and beyond during the massages (my favorite part of a mani/pedi). Staff and front desk management was kind and professional. I noticed how much cleaner this salon is from other places. The chair foot baths at my previous salon left me with a toenail infection. Gross. I notice Bellacures uses tubs they wash in between each use, so there's no chance of bacteria left behind. Major points for cleanliness. Bellacures is a little pricer than other salons, but you get what you pay for. Cleanliness and quality work has won me over. I'll be a returning customer for sure. read more

I got a Bellacures gift card as a holiday gift, so I went in yesterday to get a mani pedi. I couldn't believe the prices ! A mani/pedi is $45. A gel manicure is $50 !! Plus $15 to remove previous gel on your fingernails-this blew my mind, especially because I just moved from the valley and used to get really well done gel manicures for only $25. Besides the pricing, another con is how quickly my nails chipped. My nails began chipping the day of my manicure! I will upload pics of how my nails look right now (the day after my manicure). I would not recommend coming here. Waste of time and money. You can find way better quality and pricing elsewhere! read more

Came back and gave this place another try. My manicurist gave me a nice massage while she soaked off my gels and spent time helping me pick out the perfect color for my Halloween costume. I got a callous removal and my feet have never felt softer. I strongly recommend the callus removal pedi to get rid of those summer sandal calluses. My mani pedi looks shiny and great! I have visited Bellacures on Montana Avenue quite a few times over the past year or so. As of recently, the service has significantly declined prompting me to write a review. This nail salon is significantly more expensive than other salons I have frequented in the past. At first, I felt like I was paying for the quality. The last few times I have visited have been nothing more than a horrific experience. I had an appointment for a gel mani and a regular pedicure. My pedicure lasted all of 7 minutes. The massage consisted of rubbing her hands up and down my calf (didn't even touch my feet). When I told the lady to not put on my sandal as it would ruin my big toe (the sandal had a piece that covered my big toe) she refused and put it on anyways. Of course, it messed up my entire big toe getting polish on my sandal. She then had to redo my big toe, doing so in 30 seconds. The polish noticeably didn't look like the rest of my toes as she didn't bother to do a first or last coat. During my gel manicure, my manicurist spilled an ENTIRE bottle of remover all over my lap and left shoulder. I was drenched in gel polish remover. I had to take off my shirt and my skin burned and smelled until I showered later that day. My nails looked awful, the sides of my nails were not painted and the coats looked sloppy clearly showing where each coat was put on my nails. I will post a picture of it if I can. Next, I returned again two months later to try again after cooling off. They sat me literally on a chair that had not been cleaned, nails everywhere. It was disgusting. There was someone else's phone charging in the holder in my chair (they have chargers in the chairs) and when I asked to have it moved, the employee rolled their eyes at me. I had made an appointment for a gel manicure. I chose my polish - a light pink. The manicurist returned with an orange polish after leaving me for 5 plus minutes to find it. She started doing my nails without saying anything and I asked "Is this the polish I chose?" and she stared at me until I said "Did you not have the polish I chose?" .. making the assumption because she was gone for so long looking for it. She tells me that they did not have the polish I wanted. Okay that is fine but please do not come back with a different color and not ask me if this color is okay. I told her I did not want orange and chose a different color. Overall, the quality is not worth a $50 gel mani plus a $10 tip. Save your money as the service here is awful. read more

I was in LA for my daughter's wedding and she had booked our appointments for the bridal party, a little pampering for the feet and nails. This place used to be great. Not anymore. I wouldn't recommend Bellacures to anyone, there are much better options close-by. First of all it's twice the price for a basic manicure. The only difference is a quick 'massage'...which was basically just rubbing lotion on the top of my forearms. Secondly the women cut my cuticle, badly. It didn't stop bleeding the entire time I was there. She tried to stop it with alcohol. Then was using brushes and alcohol to try and clean my finger (not hygienic at all). Then she painted the nail while it was still bleeding!!!! Then when I was leaving I noticed they add 5% for employee healthcare. You're already twice the price of any other salon, this should be included in the price!!! Needless to say I will never be going back. read more

Thought I would try this place because it looked a little more upscale than some of the other places on the block, but as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover! Strike 1: As I was getting a pedicure, I noticed a roach crawling across the floor!! Grosssssss Strike 2: The person doing my pedicure added nail polish remover to the nail polish to thin it out. When I asked if they had a new one, he said no this will be fine! It WAS NOT fine. He had to apply 3 coats and that still wasn't enough. (My pedicure started to fade after 2 days) Strike 3: Overpriced! At least if you're going to charge those prices, give your customers a fresh bottle of nail polish, not an almost empty bottle that you tried to stretch by adding remover to it. Would have only given 1 star, but gave 2 stars because the man who did my pedicure was very nice and probably way underpaid by the white owner (as well as all the other immigrants working there!) read more

Definitely not worth the money. The paint on my fingernails has tons of bubbles in it, and the paint on my toes is thin in several locations -- could have used one more coat, at least. My cuticles also look extremely rough, after my visit. I give it two stars because the scrub really did make my feet soft, but the actual execution of all work was one of the worst I've ever experienced-- only way more expensive. Be careful, as they like to up sell once you are there. A man walks around offering shoulder massages, without sharing the price, and they try to up sell you by saying "don't you want to add a scrub?!" Won't be going back. read more

Bellacures guarantees a good mani/pedi in a pleasant atmosphere! I made an appointment here day of and was able to get a mani/pedi at the same time on a Friday morning. There are several locations and they all boast the same large arm chairs and a nice modern atmosphere. Total cost for nail beautification was about $50... Not the cheapest manicure and pedicure in town but a good price for good quality. Parking is street only. read more

This is the only nail salon I go to. Yes it is expensive, but It is worth it. I get gel nails and they use LED lighting and not UV, and they also don't use an acetone to remove it. Everyone is incredibly nice and the nail artists aren't speaking amongst each other while they are doing your nails like most other salons. This salon also has a very peaceful atmosphere and I love the music they play inside. Parking is metered street parking. I suggest going during the week later in the day, otherwise parking might be hard (unless you are already on Montana ave). Out of all the nail salons on this street, I recommend this salon over any other. They also have a very wide selection of gel and normal polishes and they get all the new OPI polishes too! read more
