I definitely use Blossom Nail Lounge as the place I go when I need a last minute nail appointment and they certainly get the job done. I have only been here twice and admit that the customer service is great! I'm always greeted kindly and have a decent conversation with the nail tech who does my nails. The price is a little higher then what i'm normally used to, but to be fair this is Santa Monica in a prime location, so its to be expected. I made an appointment yesterday for an acrylic fill. My appointment was accepted. This would have been my first visit to the salon; however they canceled my appointment as I was on my way to the salon, stating that their acrylic nail tech had an emergency and would be gone for the next two weeks. No offer was made to schedule me with someone else. They claimed that they called me twice to let me know, but couldn't get ahold of me. They never emailed me, although they had my email address because I received an email confirmation of my appointment. I won't be returning... I guess they don't need the business. read more

Trish is super detail oriented, even for my OCDness. Both the shape and paint were done very well. Will be coming back for my next one! I've been going here intermittently for the past two years or so and I really like this one the best out of all the ones in downtown Santa Monica. The people there are super easy-going, no judgment. They're very nice hospitable and accommodating. They have an incredible selection of cat eye colors that are Japanese and Korean brands lol it's easy to get an appointment here last minute when other salons are booked and busy, which is crazy because they do a better job while staying price competitive. I've been to blossom a few times over the past 5 years and it's not my favorite nail salon, but it's better than many others in the area The prices are decent for the area, but I do think it's a bit odd they don't take card and prefer Venmo / Zelle payments. Be careful who you Venmo because the receptionist chased me down outside because she was expecting me to pay a different Venmo than the one that was on the QR code at the front desk. The service itself is pretty good normally! I asked for quite a detailed design and my nails still look good more than 2 weeks later! When I booked my appointment, I was told for my gel manicure and regular pedicure it would be an 80 minute appointment. However, due to the intricate design, I ended up there for 2.5 hours, so definitely budget enough time if you're also looking for a design :) I'll definitely be returning next time I want to treat myself to a little pampering :) read more

The first time I came in, I had a great experience. My nails lasted a very long time (close to a month and a half). The second time I came in my nails started cracking less than two weeks after I got them done. I've been gluing them together to keep them in place. Let's add the less than 2 min, non existent massage, (as the girl beside me got 8 min+massage), and heavy gel polish lines. Gross! Not it! I walked in without an appt and they had someone available. That was a plus and the only reason for 2 stars. The polish applied, wait in chair considering attention to detail and price, this is not the place. As for the cleanliness, how can one tell. I got a gel removal and soft gel manicure. It was a great deal as I only paid $40 before tip. I did have an appointment and came 5 minutes before but I still waited around 20 minutes before I was helped. I feel like all nail salons do that to you and I don't like it as there may be places you have to go and that 20 minutes could really mess up with your schedule. What's the point of an appointment then? The lady who did my nail was very fast, I think since she saw that I was waiting for awhile. It wasn't as thorough as my other nail salons (usually they tend to be more tedious with the nail length to make sure they are all even). Since I don't live in SM I probably won't come back anytime soon but will definitely consider if I am ever in the area and in need of a simple design. read more

So I've never been driven to write a bad review before. I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt as we all have bad days, but that being said, my experience was very, very poor to the point where I had to go to another nail salon down the street after my appointment to correct their work the same day... yea. So let's get into it. I called ahead and asked if they had someone that was really good with designs as I wanted something special done. The woman I spoke to said yes, and I confirmed the appointment. When I arrived they greeted me nicely, I was about 8 minutes late but they were very understanding. I sat down and they proceeded to give me both a gel x and pedicure. The pedicure (just white gel polish) came out fantastic BUT the gel x manicure, BOYYYY. A lot to unpack. First as she was giving me a new set, she thinned out my nails too much in the buffing process so about 7/10 nails she put on with the gel x adhesive and light burned so bad. The pain was excruciating. She literally was fanning my nails with paper after every time I winced in pain. I figured it was just their process but this has NEVER happened to me before. Then we got to the design and she had another girl step in. As soon as she did the first nail I had a feeling it wasn't going to end well. She was not experienced in designs at all, and I'd understand having her practice but please don't use your clients as the Guinea pigs for that . I let her do about 3 nails and just let her know it wasn't turning out how I pictured (lines were crooked, shapes were off, nothing was even) so she tried to redo them and eventually I just asked if I could just do plain clear nails instead because it wasn't getting any better. The original nail tech immediately stepped back in and insisted she finish the designs (I assume she was more skilled) so I let her give it a try. I told her how straight and clean I wanted the lines to look and eventually It started to look better with her doing them but the attention to detail was still just not there. I kind of just let it be but by the end of my appointment I checked my nails and there was HAIR & FUZZ on almost every nail. I had already spent about 2 hours so I gave up having them fix it and paid then left. I wouldn't suggest going to them if you have any intricate designs or care about the attention to detail. I spent $100 on my nails just to have to get them redone same day because I couldn't look at the hair in my nails for a week. Such a disappointment but hoping they work on this to improve on future patrons. Quick update: shortly after posting, Tina reached out to me swiftly and apologized for the service I experienced and provided a full refund of my nails! I really appreciate the service and although the work just wasn't up to par for me, their hospitality is really great and I appreciate them looking for a way to make up for it. read more

I always enjoy visiting Blossom Nail Lounge with my mom! Tina is fabulous with waxing and nails, and Trish always takes care of my mom who loves her!! Everyone at the salon is fabulous!! I've been to a lot of nail salons and Blossom is the best. They spend extra time on pedicures getting off calluses. The salon is super clean and the environment is relaxing with big cushy chairs and a special upholstered shelf to relax your opposite hand for manicures. So happy to have found Blossom. read more

Do not go here. I went here for manicure and my nails came out looking butchered. I have healthy, long nails and I just wanted a regular manicure, rounded nails (the shape I already had), no paint and I left with my nails uneven, rough, damaged and I'm not sure what shape they even gave me. I look down and don't recognize my hands. It was also extremely expensive with hidden fees. They told me if I wanted to get my nails buffed it would be extra. I would also like the add that the manicures are not comfortable. Even though there was only one other customer in the shop, they put me on a couch where I constantly being twisted to one side. If my hand unrelaxed ,EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST, the manicurist would hit my hand. This is the first bad review I have ever written and probably will ever write. read more
