Absolutely amazing food delivered with outstanding customer service excellence from James, Gui, Andrew and Carlos! I placed my order and enjoy a relaxing lunch break outside on their beautiful, decorative patio area! James goes above and beyond with making sure my lunch is heated to my liking and is always professional and personable taking great pride in his work! Thank you everyone for your hard work! I have my career and two side businesses and your team is most important! It's so refreshing to seeing The Italian Gourmet Team's dedication and service to its customers! A+++++++!

Look at that chicken! It's so moist and tastes so fresh.

I've been here a few times and I'm enjoying the fact I like it more every time I go. With my first visit, I wasn't really impressed. Heading home I was starving so, I stopped in to grab a bite. Got a honey turkey melt; half size and a slice of their apple pie. Portions of both were huge although, the sandwich wasn't impressive. Ingredients so fresh but, when you have too many strong flavors going on, it doesn't balance. The apple pie turned out to be apple cheesecake (mislabeled) which was impressive since, I don't really like cheesecake and I ate it all. I wanted to like this place so, I kept going back because they have a *huge* variety of things to eat; including a small cafe inside. Next I tried their chicken caesar wrap and wasn't impressed. The chicken was delicious but, was warm and had a smokey, roasted flavor. Again, fresh ingredients but, lack of balance regarding components made it not taste like a caesar wrap. I devoured two house made cannolis (pure heaven) and left with a 1/4lb of their deli turkey which I remember being lovely from the first sandwich. Last visit was with my s/o. He hadn't tried the place yet and was aching to do so. This visit is where I met the totally awesome James. I wanted to see if I could get the chicken caesar wrap cold. He over heard and happily started to ask how I'd like my sandwich. "Sub or wrap? White or wheat? Crispy chicken or grilled? Hot or cold?" Wait, what?? I wasn't asked that before so, heck yeah! I got the soup and sandwich combo. Customized myself a chicken caesar wrap and got their veggie minestrone soup. My s/o got a whole chicken parm. He consumed most of it before I was even able to take a picture. We sat in their cute little dining area and I grabbed myself a pineapple soda. James brought over our food and said if we needed anything, just holler. The soup was delicious and the wrap was perfect. Thank you James. We grabbed a pumpkin tiramisu on our way out which was very tasty but, more like a pumpkin cake than tiramisu. Over all, I'm glad I kept trying. They have lots of food there which can be overwhelming. So, if you try em out and aren't wowed, I highly recommend giving them a couple chances. Also, don't leave without getting a mini cannoli.

Small Turkey with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Delicious!

Bella's was recently introduced to us as a take out option for lunch and I am very glad that it was! Bella's took over the former "Portabella" space (on Wampanoag Trail at Forbes St.) and has plenty of parking in that plaza. I have now tried the turkey sandwich, chicken cutlet sandwich, chicken parmigiana sandwich as well as the Caesar salad with grilled chicken added and have found them all to be delicious lunch options. (see photots) I always order the small sandwiches and found it to be plenty but if you have a larger appetite - go with the large! The bread is fresh and tasty and all of the ingredients on the sandwiches have been plentiful and delicious. We usually call the order in ahead of time and pick it up - I would definitely add this gourmet deli to the lunch hit list if you are in the Riverside / Barrington, RI area.

Inside, red ladder-back chairs, blonde wood tables, a pop art pizza slice on the wall. Paper plates. No cups, even though they sell 2-liter bottles with those 20 ouncers. It's really, at its heart, a nicely appointed takeout spot. A small space, maybe 20 seats, but friendly, the guys throwing the pizzas talked with us while they made pies. Easy, natural. Like being at someone's house. That's their food truck DNA showing through. Joey and Jay started making pizzas at backyard cookouts in 2021. Friends kept asking for more, so they bought a wood-fired truck. They blew up around Rhode Island and Massachusetts after that and opened this brick and mortar shop in 2023. We started with meatballs. Two of them in marinara with pecorino on top and fresh basil. These were exceptional. Tender, moist, herbaceous in the best way, seasoned like someone's grandmother taught them how. The sauce had real flavor, bright and rich at the same time. They were almost identical to Bettola's, which is high praise. Best meatballs I've had from a pizza place in months. I kept thinking these would be incredible in a sandwich or calzone. Then came the Sicilian pie. 16 by 12 inches, thick crust, split down the middle: half cheese, pepperoni, and olives; half grilled chicken. The crust showed serious color variation (gold to deep brown to char spots). That brick oven's running hot and nobody's micromanaging every inch. Look at the crumb structure in those cross-sections. Big, irregular air pockets. Wild shapes that only happen when time does the work. Not the uniform bubbles of rushed dough. Light, airy, crispy on the bottom, sturdy enough to hold whatever is on top. Golden brown undercarriage with real structure. In no way doughy like most Sicilians turn out. That 24-hour fermentation they talk about? It's real. You can see it. That light, airy structure leaves you full but not bloated. The pepperoni and olive side delivered. Good snap on the pepperoni, quality cheese melted perfectly, clean tomato sauce balancing sweetness and acid. Just fresh tomato flavor doing its job. The chicken side is where it gets interesting. Grilled chicken is the canary in the coal mine for pizza competence. It separates the pizza makers from the pizza fakers. Get it wrong and it's dried out on top or rubbery underneath because they don't understand that chicken needs to cook ON the pizza, not ahead of time. Moving Dough gets it. The chicken was moist, properly cooked, not dry or rubbery. They kept the cheese and sauce ratio the same as the other half, so a touch more sauce would've helped with moisture and flavor, but the fact that the chicken survived the oven tells you they know what they're doing. That's the New Haven DNA of the shop. The crust is a platform. Toppings get the spotlight. The sauce carries flavor. The cheese does its work. The crust holds it all together with that crispy foundation and doesn't compete. It works. I'd go back for those meatballs alone. But I also want to try their regular round pies, see what they do with The Hot Chick or The Tenderoni. Who goes to Barrington for pizza? Moving Dough puts it on the map.

Also think they have a table or two inside? From our most recent order: The Mya (fig spread, prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, balsamic glaze) - 8.5/10. Sometimes it gets to be a little too sweet for me, but still super delicious Meat Lovers (mozzarella, meatball, bacon, pepperoni, sausage) - 7/10. Not my first choice but still super yummy, I didn't love the bacon on this though and would have liked it better without. The Goat salad (arugula, fried goat cheese ball, beets, candied pecans, balsamic glaze) - 8/10. Love this salad but it is lacking just a tiny bit. I also would either order this or the Mya Pizza because they are super similar in taste so definitely don't need both

Small lot parking and even smaller restaurant, there are a handful of tables both regular and bar height and a few bar seats. Very cozy and bright and service very friendly. It did take a bit longer than we were expecting for our food to come out. But that 24 hour fermented dough is out of this world - we had the pepperoni, hot honey ricotta pizza and it's hands down one of the best pies I've had - perfect chew on that crispy crust and all of the flavors worked well together. We also ordered the chicken parm and the smoked mozzarella and prosciutto. It would've been helpful if the smoked mozzarella and prosciutto stated on the menu it was a ravioli - the mister enjoyed it but ravioli isn't his first choice for pasta. As for me, my chicken parm was very good BUT I had to get the pizza marinara sauce as the sauce that comes with this dish is bolognese since I can't do red meat. They were very accommodating to give me that option but I don't think it's as flavorful as the mister said his bolognese had a much richer flavor. Drinks were good but strong! Truly, we did enjoy our meals and if for nothing else - I'd order pizzas over and over again from here. Don't sleep on this spot for pizza - it's pretty darn good!

Story Time: My roommate Relena had her 20th birthday…read moreyesterday. I promised her we could go out for pizza and hang out on Sunday. When I suggested she pick her favorite style and I'll pick a place from there, she confessed she didn't know the difference between the styles. Always an educator, I asked her to describe her ideal pizza. She liked thin crust, not a lot of sauce and crispy crust. I figured she either liked New Haven or NY and after a few follow up questions, we decided NY was probably what she likes. For me, my go-to NY pizza place is Fellini. I love the Providence location for walk up slices, but because we were planning to sit down with a whole pie I took us to the Pawtuxet Village location instead. The freshly fallen snow turned everything into a beautiful winter wonderland and that was no different for the awning outside the restaurant. The inside was cozy and warm. We were greeted by our server and sat quickly. With Relena being the guest of honor, I had her pick the toppings. But because she picked pineapple and olives, we decided to make half of it pepperoni The pizza never takes long at Fellini's. It promptly arrived at our table and we wasted no time digging in. The toppings are always generous here, they really give you your bang for your buck. The pepperoni was extra greasy today but I didn't mind that so much. As always, Fellini's delivered. Crisp and chewy crust with great flavor. A balance of sauce and cheese. Even with overloaded toppings, it never seems like too much. I even dared to try the pineapple olive slice and was pleasantly surprised not only by the taste but by the bake of the crust. Normally with a moist topping like pineapple the crust is damp and sometimes soggy. But not here. Still crisp with every bite. It wasn't long before 3 of us inhaled the pizza and it was time for the check. I noticed that Fellini's only charges you half the topping price when it's only on half the pizza. While I'm sure most of you are thinking "duh" I have found most places charge you full topping price per topping even if it's only on half. Just another reason why I love this spot so much. While Fellini's has been a staple in RI for some time, a lot of people think it hasn't been the same since the original owner sold. Let me tell you, I used to work for the old man and later worked for his son. I have eaten at Fellini's for almost 20 years now and that pizza hits every time. If you haven't been to the Cranston location, I highly recommend it as a great date night or family meal spot. Oh, and it got a 10/10 from the roommate!

There's a bar area with TV to watch the game or whatever, a cozy rustic indoor dining area, a quick eat-and-go area without servers where you can grab a slice and eat it and a really nice outdoor seating area with heaters. So many options! The pizzas have inventive toppings and a very NY-Style thin crust. You can also get whole wheat crust which I love. There are tons of veggie options too. Truly something for everyone! Only one word of caution - they tend to cook their pizzas pretty dark - so if you aren't into that be sure to let them know. One time we got a pizza that was totally black in the bottom. The server was gracious about it and they remade it for us. Their sangria is strong! And their salads are huge. Definitely don't forget an appetizer and drinks.
