This place is hit or miss. Don't bother making appointments. It's useless. I've made several appointments ahead of time & still when I show up ON TIME, I still have to wait 20-30 minutes. It's annoying. Jessica always does my pedicure & I absolutely love her. I recommend her. Vivian the manager is great at full sets but thats all shes good at, customer service skills = down the drain. She gets on my nerves when she double books or overbooks, because here at Belle Nails, they don't care about "loyalty" & "returning customers". They care about business in that very moment. I went in Sunday for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Marina was wonderful with the pedicure. Hanna did a great job preparing my hands for my gel manicure. Vicki was friendly but did an awful job painting my nails. She would paint two nails at a time and have me put them under the light. She would end up skipping a nail each coat (one thumb got two coats of color whereas the other nails all got three coats of color, two other fingers only got one top coat whereas the others got one). She didn't paint the entire nail so it looks like my nails have already grown out a week. The base coat was put on so heavily that it has stuck to my skin and I can't separate it without risking that the polish will start to peel off, which doesn't seem that bad based on how terrible my nails look. This was the worst nails experience I've ever had. I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment for my mother and I on Mother's Day for 4:30PM. My mother and I arrived for the appointment and were told to wait. 30 minutes later, I asked what was happening, and was told that we would not be helped for another 15-30 minutes at least. I mentioned to the Salon that it was frustrating to have been told to arrive at 4:30 if our appointment would not start until 5:30, since we had cut short a previous appointment in order to make the time we were told. My mother and I then left to browse other shops while waiting. When we came back, the Salon was evidently very upset with us. The nail job was the worst I've ever had, and the service borderline unprofessional. Moreover, when another customer arrived for their appointment and was kept waiting, they were told that it was our fault because we came late--which was blatantly untrue--while we were sitting a few feet away. The entire experience was all very strange and we wish that they had simply told us they were too busy to help us that day. I will never come back here again. read more

they have the WORST service ever. i went to get a fill, and i was completely not satisfied with the messiness. there was polish all over my skin, my cuticles were horrible, etc. it was gel so it wouldn't come off by the time she was done. i told her (the owner) i was unhappy and she was SO rude and told me she'll fix it but i have to tell her right when i don't like it because she "doesn't want to do this for me anymore" she was aggressive and threw my hands around after painting each hand and was constantly making comments under her breath and raising her tone. contrary to what she said about always "doing a good job", shes wrong. LOOK AT ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GO! there's a reason the header photo of this place is a picture of someone's messed up nails. read these horrible reviews and save yourself your money. read more

I went to this nail salon today! They were not busy at all so they took me in right away. This nail salon is very very clean AND they STERILIZE their instruments!!!! (which I do not see a lot of places doing.) I went in for a fill and pedicure. Fill was $16 and Pedicure was $18. Gel Manicure is $27. Both of the ladies did my nails so good! I told the woman who did my fill to make them a lot thinner because the person before made them super thick after I told him to make them thin. She listened to what I wanted and did it. The woman who did my pedicure gave me a long massage on my legs and feet which was also great! The decor of the place was really nice and they had soft meditating music in the background which made it relaxing! Overall it was an awesome experience and I just now found my new nail spot to go to! Oh and they are open on SUNDAYS!!!! Lastly, there is surrounding street parking for free or you can pay at the meter for front row parking. read more

Great place for affordable nails and waxing. Staff is super friendly. Although the first two times I went w/o an appointment and walked right in, the third time there was quite a wait. I usually go in the mid-afternoon, so it might be good to make an appointment just in case. read more

This salon is still clean and nicely decorated, but the staff are perpetually in a hurry even if there is no one waiting. The manager and ethetiticians are nice enough and stay a long time at their jobs, but now I don't get the feeling that they care about the experience or the workmanship, just getting people in and out fast. I have been looking for a new nail spot in Dena since my place up the street closed. I've been having a hard time because I take 9 year old with me, so they MUST be clean, and I'm pretty picky about my acrylics. Add to that I like to relax in a spa chair without a noisy, crowded shop, on a Saturday (sometimes even a Sunday), yeah I was having a hard time. To my surprise, I stumbled across this place on Yelp that is less than 5 minutes from my house! The manager was sweet, friendly and knew what she was doing. The other techs did a great job on my daughter's Mani pedi, flower and musical note included, she was also very pleased. AND the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back to see Vivian and the rest of the gang. Small, quiet, relaxing shop. Just what I needed! read more

you can't find a more loving and caring staff. Vivian is so spot on and remembers you from day one, so does he staff. He salon is the cleanest I have EVER witnessed. They scrub the pedicure tubs immediately and put disinfectant in then cover with a towel. I had to move from Pasadena after having Vivian at my becon call for over 2 years. She always treated me with total respect and still after all the hours she works EVERY day of the week, she smiles and keeps boogin on. She is AWESOME and VERY reasonable in her prices. The first time i went here the lady doing my pedicure cut my toe and tried to pretend like the cut was already there 0_o she wasnt rude about it but she didnt apologize and tried to make it seem like i had already walked in with the cut on my toe. She even poured acetone on it and sprayed alcohol on it full well knowing she cut me while I told her she was hurting me- RUDE! Also, kinda scary since you hear so many horror stories about getting infections from nail salons and having an open cut via your pedicurist is no bueno. Second chance: I was in a rush so i decided to give it another try- this time they repeatedly messed up my nails and then blamed the color i chose....they said the polish was bad ( THEIR POLISH!!!). They were rushing me out the door and when I looked down at my manicure the polish was bubbling so i pointed it out and OF COURSE they started talking sh*t in their language. Then when i switched colors because apparently their nail polish was bad, they were in such a rush they forgot coats on certain nails and then said my nail was bumpy so thats why the polish looked bad. REALLY??? NO other nail salon seemed to have ANY problems but all of a sudden my nails are bumpy? Finally after being tossed around from manicurist to manicurist the woman painting my toes was so impatient she just put loads of polish all over my nails and over 2 hours after i left & put closed toe shoes on they smudged and stained my shoes... needless to say i will never go here again. I've been cut, blamed for having "bumpy" nails, blamed for picking a color from THEIR selection that apparently was bad (maybe you should get new nail polish, you ARE a nail salon after all), and chased out the door with goops of polish all over the place- ENOUGH! I have never been to a place that charges $35 for a mani-pedi and treated me like this...horrible, horrible place. I've learned my lesson. Ill drive back down to Crenshaw & Washington where the prices are lower and my nails are done right. read more

I called ahead to see if I needed an appt. they do work by appointment on Friday, sat and sun. I love this place, VERY clean, nicely appointed and very relaxing. Vivian the owner is adorable and seems to know her regulars by name. Hanna gave me a great pedi and Vivian a great mani, awesome massages, the mani includes neck and shoulders. I have to warn others about the horrible costumer service provided by the women who seems to be in charge of Belle Nails and Spa Salon on Lake Ave, Pasadena. I called to make an appointment for mani/pedi to go after work. This woman (probably the salon manager) gave me attitude from the beginning of the call for wanting to come at 6:00 pm which, even though they close at 7:00 pm, she thought it was too late. I was surprised by her attitude but kept my cool and agreed to come at a later day if that was too late. However, she said "she'll wait for me". So I went. When I got there at 6:00 pm on the dot, after rushing there after work, she told me "sorry, I already have other costumer." Needless to say, I was totally appalled and confused by her attitude, especially after she insisted I came in. She didn't apologize, she just kept saying "we're busy, we're busy" not even offering to take me later after we'd agreed I'd be there at 6:00 pm. I have never been treated so incredibly poorly as a costumer anywhere else, especially at any nail salons. Please beware of this 'manager". read more
