Literally a waste of money and waste of time!!! Unprofessional I had an appointment for pedicure and manicure (without nail polish). They were very rude while treating my fingers so that they even startet to bleed and really burned...My nails after treatment looked worse than before and I had to file them again on my own. For the pedicure the nail treatment was better BUT they didn't removed any callus - which for me is definitely obligatory for a pedicure!? I complained this issue but I was simply ignored. The whole treatment (mani+pedi) took only around 20 min and I had to pay $36 excluding tip. - I wonder for what!?? Never again!!! This place just opened about 2 weeks ago, but is run by a very professional staff with excellent customer service. I decided to go all out and got a special treatment mani/pedi combo. I really hope this place does well because I think it might just be my new fave. It is on Lake, so after a hard day of shopping (smile) walk in and treat yourself. I called before I walked in because I wanted to make sure they had OPI. I am a huge OPI fan, and they have a pretty great selection. OPI is really the only polish that lasts on my nails. Vivian and her girls are phenomenal. I do walk-in pedicures frequently -- they have a lot of chairs so you never have to wait. And they give you the spa treatment -- manicures come with massages. Perfect way to de-stress. Also, this is the place to go if you like a FRENCH MANICURE. I've been getting Frenchies for 10 years and now I will not go anywhere else. Vivian (owner) does them with acrylic or gel and this woman is a perfectionist. *Please note that Vivian is the only one who does acrylics and gels at the moment, so if your time is tight I recommend calling ahead to give her the heads up so she can block off time for you. Ghost town. On a Saturday afternoon around 2pm, I walked in to a completely empty salon save for two employees and one customer getting a pedicure. There were many empty spa chairs, but the employee who wasn't working said they were completely booked for the day until 6. My roommate and I moved to Pasadena in the fall last year. We were looking for a good place to get our nails done and we happend upon Belle Nails and Spa on Yelp. We decided to make appts for pedicures and gel manicures mostly b/c everybody says Vivian is awesome and b/c the price was right. Well, we've been here numerous times already and we love it. The price is perfect, the manicures are always really meticulous, clean, and they give you the hand/arm massage for forever. *melts into chair* Same goes for the pedicures! Tina is AMAZING. Tina is my girrrrrl when it comes to kickass pedicures. Always clean and very picky! She's a perfectionist. I've only ever gotten gel nails here. Vivian is definitely the go-to for gels. Though whoever the woman was that did my roommates did a wonderful job as well! Vivian's gels always last me a good 3 weeks and she gets your nails done SO. FAST. Usually I'm really wary if it doesn't take long for a manicurist to do my gels, but I've never had a problem with Vivian's handiwork. I did get gels from another one of the gals there recently, and they started lifting almost immediately :( When I called Vivian to see if I could come in and get them fixed, she told me to come in right away and she would fix them for me. And by fix them, I mean remove ALL of my manicure and completely redo it. The kicker? She wouldn't let me pay or even tip her! Vivian takes her business so seriously, and she's incredibly meticulous. I love it! They do a little bit of simple nail art (glitter gradients, half-moon nails, polka dots, etc.). All you have to do is ask and show them a picture :) Bottom line? Treat them how you would want to be treated and they'll go to extra lengths to make sure you're happy. Lastly, if you're going on the weekends, make an appointment and go as early as possible! That way they're not tired and cranky from dealing with walk-ins all day. And if you ARE a walk-in, be extra polite. It's a small staff and they work super hard to fit everybody in! read more

I was in the area for business and wish I had known about this place when I lived there. Great salon! I was seated right away even though I didn't have an appointment. Vivian (who is also the owner) did my gel manicure. She did a great job and gave me an awesome massage neck and arm massage. So I'd definitely recommend her for gel and manicures in general. My pedicure came out great as well - not sure what the girls' name was that did my toes. Overall a great place and would definitely go back to! I used to get my nails done at the place in the Coco's plaza but since it closed I was looking for a new spot. I had been here a couple times before and decided to go today when they opened. I got there at 9:30 am and parked in the parking spot that is labeled for Belle Nails & Spa customers. At 9:50 am the owner got to work and asked me to move out of the spot so she could park. I asked her where customers were supposed to park and she said that her customers park on the street (metered parking). I told her that I would find another place to get my nails done and I went to Princess Nails on S. Lake (they did an amazing job, free street parking, and were reasonably priced!) This owner won't be in business for long if she prioritizes herself over her customers. Just a quick note for the owner - if it's your parking spot make the sign say RESERVED FOR BELLE NAILS AND SPA MANAGEMENT ONLY. Do not kick potential customers out of a customer parking spot for yourself. It's bad business. I for one will never step foot in this business again. Rude, rude, rude. read more

I have given this place many tries. I like that it is clean and a nice spa environment. However, like other reviewers have said, appointments mean nothing here. I have been here 6-8 times now and each time I have to wait longer than the last. They TRY to be nice about it, but the last time I went to get a pedicure, even though I had an appointment, I had to wait 30 minutes, feet soaking in the chair, before my pedi began. Then, it only took 12 minutes, seriously 12!!!!, to do my pedicure. I wanted a deluxe pedi and basically what I got was a polish change with foot soaking. And I still paid the $22 price. ( I'm not into not tipping, so it was actually $25). I'm tired of the hassle here for a sub-par job. Time to permanently take my business elsewhere. read more

Darn it. I have to downgrade my review because my manicure didn't last:(. Normally my manicures will last a week to a week and a half. This one lasted about five days? Now I did do some manual labor so I thought that was why and didn't think too much about it and got another manicure. However, that had chips in it the next day! And they're still chipping:(. So sad. My second manicure was okay. She cut my nails too short and the shape isn't that great, but she was really nice and you could tell she felt bad. Massage was decent with the warm lotion but honestly that's the only selling point. It's a nice touch but when I go to get my nails done, I expect it to stay at least a week (this has been my norm). Don't bother suggesting gel or shellac, my nails grow too fast so I have to get them done weekly. Now I'm off in search of another nail salon. So annoyed. read more

Today was my first visit to Belle's and it was amazing! Before moving to Padadena, I had a regular nail salon that I went to every 2 wks for 7 years and had specific nail techs that knew/did what I exactly wanted. I am very picky when it comes to my nails so I wasn't too excited about the idea of having to find a new nail salon after my move so I put it off. I eventually visited a nail salon in Pasadena and found it to be average (nothing spectacular, but not a disaster either). I was initially attracted to Belle's by the yelp reviews and was blown away by my first visit. Hannah and Vivian are amazing! They are extremely friendly and genuinely care about their clients. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. I think Belle's could use a wider selection of nude and soft pink gel polishes, but I was able to find a beautiful color nonetheless. Hannah's pedicure and foot/leg massage was heavenly--although, the foot scrub definitely could have been longer. She did a great job though. I'm in heels all day long at work and my feet greatly appreciated the amazing work Hannah did. Vivian, the owner of the salon, was fun, quirky, and full of energy. She was very refreshing and kind! She took great care of my nails and gave me an amazing arm and shoulder massage! She puts a lot of effort into her work, which is beautiful. I got the sea breeze pedicure with gel manicure and pedicure. The total was $90 and I spent about 2 hrs at the salon. I'm totally fine with paying a premium for an impeccable work product and that is exactly what I received today. These ladies work extremely hard and are great! Came here on a Friday and told there was a 5 min wait. 35 min later I was seated. Very slow service . I am 7 months pregnant and asked for the door to stay open as the polish odor was getting to me. The staff was kind enough to abide by keeping the door ajar whereas the boss yelled and screamed at me and the staff saying she was hot. I was shocked. I declined my manicure and just got a pedi as she already started. I cried. Delighted I stopped by for a mani/pedi today. The ladies were very attentive and I was seated right away. Because my office is within walking distance of many salons, I have tried several others on South Lake and adjacent streets. I gave up on the others because I wasn't completely satisfied with the customer service or quality. Hands down, Belle is my new go to! The ladies and owner clearly strive to build a relationship with their clients, which was obvious from the friendly rapport with clients sitting in the chairs and even with many passersby. The polish was applied expertly so I had no bubbles, and wasn't a horribly thick coat so it took very little time to dry. Win! I had a gel manicure done at this place. the manicure was fine but the gel color was awful it was super thick and sloppy It literally was all around the cuticle but I was in a hurry so I left feeling unhappy with the look n feel of the gel so I got home and filed around the nails a little bit to clean up the messy top coat. then OF COURSE they started lifting the next day ! I went to speak to the owner about it (who did the gel) She was nice As she was in front of a customer and said not to worry about it that she would fix it to come back tomorrow so then when I call them for the repair appointment we went around and around almost as if she didn't want to give me a window of time to do the repair. I showed up and this time she has no customer there and gives me attitude as I explained to her that they were quite lumpy and messy and literally fell off. Anyways she went ahead and did another gel color and they looked good but Guess what ! the next day the same thing they were lifting so I'm not sure what products are used but something is not right! This nail spa is my new place! The owner (I think her name is Vivian) is very inviting and funny. The place is clean. Their chairs are very comfortable. They sterilize the tools & use new filers and use gloves when they do your feet. I got a mani and a pedi done by Vivian. She was very professional and attentive. Even though it was past closing time when she finished, She did not rushed me to leave. I was very happy with the quality of the services and the customer service. Hands down(haha) THE BEST manicure and pedicure I have ever gotten. I took my boyfriend's daughter for a girl's day out. We both got our fingernails buffed and full pedicures with polish. The attention to detail was astonishing for both of us. Not only were our nails done to perfection, but it included about a 10-15 minutes(each) massage of legs and feet plus about 7 minute massage for each arm and hand. I walked out of there feeling like a noodle. Probably best to make an appointment. We were worked on by the owner, Vivian, and Michelle, both of whom were outstanding. They even went back with a tiny artist's brush with acetone to clean up any stray polish. Never seen that before. They do take credit cards, but only for payment for services. Belle Nails is ok for the actual cures but they do a lousy job of communicating what is going on. I have gone there many times and I am fed up. They always say 10 minutes, which you know is a lie. When they know you are about to leave they put you in a chair with the water and you think, ok any minute now. Nope, always another 20 minute wait. I went with my 7 yr old son, for a special afternoon. We got the same run around. They put us in a chair after waiting 20 minutes. We were side by side and looking forward to a pedicure. My lady started and we figured the other person would be there any minute. Nope, their plan was to do me for 35 minutes and then start on my son. What seven yr old wants to wait an hour for a pedicure. It was so long and so boring he ended hating and so did I. We ran out of time and he got nothing. Perfect because it was a special trip for him. Total backfire. They are clueless and ruined our outing. They refuse to say we are busy, maybe not today. I made an appointment for a pedicure and gel manicure but I was helped after the person who walked in before me with no appointment. Usually these services take about an hour, but it took an hour and a half. My gel manicure started chipping after 5 days. My pedicure started chipping after a week. During my pedicure, the water was spraying everywhere on the floor and my shoes...I actually had to block the wonky jet with my foot to stop it from spraying. After my pedicure was done, they made me walk barefoot with my clean lotioned feet over to the regular seats for my gel manicure, where a 3rd person was to paint my nails. Although the long massages were heavenly, it's still pretty pricey for both to start chipping so soon. I felt bad because tip was cash only, so my 3 attendees for a 2 job service were not tipped. I only learned of the ATM from Yelp just now. I wanted to like this place a lot more. The 2 stars are for that really wonderful massage from my 1st manicurist. read more
